***BELLA POV***
"Shane's told you about me? Why didn't you say this earlier?" I ask in surprise.
"I wanted to tell you before anyone else. Then, you could tell whoever you wished afterwards," Charles answers.
"What did she tell you?"
"She asked me to do something for her. She wanted me to give you a few things in case she couldn't give them to you herself," he says as he reaches inside his jacket and pulls out a package from a hidden pocket.
He hands it to me, and I look down at it. The package is nothing extraordinary; it's just wrapped in brown paper and tied with string. I look at Charles, and he motions for me to open it. Untying the string and removing the paper, I pull out two, small books. The first is a brown, leather book with no writing on the front. I open the book and see sketches and notes. A streak of pain in my head alerts me of a memory reappearing and I close my eyes. I see Silver-Eyes and me standing near each other by a porch.
"Bella, I want you to sit out for today," Silver-Eyes tells other me.
Other me goes to argue, but Silver-Eyes quickly cuts in.
"That doesn't mean you won't be doing anything. I actually have a book that I think you might find interesting," she explains as she walks towards the porch.
She walks to the table on the porch and grabs a small, brown, leather book from on top of it. She then turns back to other me and hands her the book while other me looks at her in confusion. Slowly, other me opens the book, and her eyes widen a couple of seconds later. Mine do too when I recognize it as the book Charles just gave me.
"This-" other me starts.
"It's everything that I've discovered and have been taught about shifters. I'm hoping it will help you while you learn," Silver-Eyes says, and other me smiles before sitting down on one of the chairs to start reading.
I open my eyes to see Charles looking at me in worry.
"Are you ok, Bella?" he asks. "You spaced out like you did in the cave."
"I just got a memory of my past, is all," I answer, and he blinks in surprise.
"Does that mean your memory is coming back?"
"I think so," I reply before pulling out the second book in the package.
This book is the same size as the last one, but it's made of black leather. I open it to see writing on the inside while a few pieces of paper fall out and to the ground. I kneel and pick them up only to realize they're photos. I look at the first picture; it's one of a large group of Native Americans laughing in a dining room.
"There's writing on the back," Charles says, and I turn the picture around to see he's right.
"It says they're the LaPush pack," I say as I flip the picture back over.
"I remember hearing about them," Charles replies. "They're wolf-shifters like you."
I turn to the next picture of an older couple who are smiling at each other. I'm confused as to who they are before I turn to the back.
"Charlie and Renee Swan," I read before my eyes widen. "My parents."
I look up at Charles as he looks back at me.
"Shane never said anything about them. Maybe it's in the book."
"I hope so," I sigh before looking at the next picture.
This picture is of a coven of golden-eyed vampires. There are eight all together, with one being the pixie from one of my past memories, and they're all smiling at the camera. I turn the picture over to see what it says.
"The Cullens," I read before looking at Charles. "Do you know them?"
"I've heard of them, but I've never met them in person," he answers with a frown.
I nod before going to the next picture. This one is of the three Native Americans from before. The oldest boy has his arm around the girl while the youngest boy is grinning at the camera with an old pickup truck behind them. Flipping over to the back, I find their names.
"Jacob Black, Leah Clearwater, and Seth Clearwater."
"Probably more of the LaPush pack," Charles suggests, and I nod.
The next picture surprises me; it's of me and the pixie vampire. We're lying on a couch, my head against her shoulder and one of my arms around her waist while her arms are wrapped around me. I'm asleep in the picture, and the pixie vampire is smiling softly at me.
"Who's that?" Charles asks.
I feel something stir in me before I turn the picture over and read the back.
"She's Alice Cullen, my imprint."
