Okay! Another chapter! Sorta a filler but...has important information at the end :) Enjoy!
Chapter 9
Ikuto's POV:
I got home a few minutes ago and now I'm on my bed face down. I have no idea how Amu got home, I mean, when I got out of the mall myself, she was already gone. I've been lying here for a while now, reliving the event in my mind. I was thinking the first time Amu and I got our first kiss on the lips, that it'd be sweet, happy, and emotional. Yes, it was emotional. Negatively emotional.
I pick up my phone and look, secretly hoping there'd be a message. A little voice in my head said, Maybe she's waiting for you to say something.
"I want to forgive you. Especially since now I know I did the same thing to Rima. But when I remember how I felt, I just can't. We'll just be classmates. Like we had no past."
That's what she said. Does that mean she doesn't mind us being friends? Starting from scratch. Maybe I can still win her over. I said I'd break her glass wall, so I guess I should keep my promise.
Amu's POV:
I called a servant and a limo came within seconds. It was a little over the top, but it got be away from this place.
"Why did you even come here in the first place, Miss Hoshimi? I'm sure we provide enough cloths for you that are to your liking." My driver asked.
"Oh it was nothing," I waved off his concerned expression, "I just wanted to see life like a normal person."
"Ah, that's right. How's school going?"
I stiffened at his question. My driver is usually a very kind and easy-going man, but sometimes he asks questions that get me…agitated…
"It's…great…!" I try to add some reassuring excitement to my voice.
"Hm…that's good…" he says, with a little disbelief in his voice.
I open the door. To my mansion. I haven't been back here for a while since I started school. Because honestly, being in such a huge house alone is awful. Sometimes if I talk, my voice echoes through the entire mansion, leaving me to listen to my own voice.
I feel something in my pocket vibrate. Ah, my phone. I flinch and freeze the moment I see the text. I nearly drop the phone…
Tsukiyomi Ikuto – 16 minutes ago
I'm sorry, Amu. I truly am sorry for what I did. I understand if you don't want to have anything to do with me anymore. But sorry, I can't let you do that. Even if we have to pretend we have no past, I'll warm up to you again. I will, just wait.
I part of me wants to just throw my phone to the wall and forget about this text. Another part of me wants to reply and just forgive him already. Instead I write this:
I'll be waiting. Good luck.
Ikuto's POV:
I get a reply almost instantly. I would never have expected this.
I'll be waiting. Good luck.
To get a reply is shocking enough. But something positive? She must be in a good mood.
***Tomorrow at School***
I get to school a little earlier than usual, which is about the time most people come – I just usually sleep like 10 minutes more. I'm putting the last number into my lock when I hear I familiar voice yelp. I whip around, ignoring my lock. I turn around just in time so see a foot retreat back while Amu falls, dropping her books and papers everywhere. She's rubbing her knee when the owner of the foot sticks his face right in front of hers. She looks up and her hands fall to her sides, limp. In fact, it looks like she lost all control over her body. I've never seen her like this, she was trembling and her eyes were wide with fear. I know why she's afraid. But no one else does, I'm aware of Rima near me. She bends down to pick up the papers that Amu wasn't moving a muscle to try to get. We make eye contact and I can tell she's thinking exactly what I am. No one else knows about this, they're just laughing at this girl who supposedly randomly fell and dropped everything and is now looking like a monster is in front of her rather than some cute, princely boy. Yes, the boy is Tadase. He puts his mouth next to Amu's ear and whispers something that I faintly make out as:
"Nice to see you again, Amu."
Gasp! I'm open to any suggestions! . In fact, I hope you'll give me some ideas...!
