Chapter 1
June 1st, 2014, I was heading off to Rocky Salt Museum in Miami Florida. There was a useless, but heavily secured artifact there called, 'A Hundred Years From Now'. It is a large rock, from a town nobody cares about anymore, called Blossomby. On the rock, are phrases from people's lives who lived in Blossomby. It was made a little over a hundred years ago, which is why it's valuable. Why it shouldn't be valuable, is because every inhabitant of Blossomby wrote a phrase about their lives. I googled the rock already, and I've visited Rocky Salt to get a good look on how I should 'remove' the rock from the museum.
Some of the phrases are:
Susie broke up with me-John
I broke up with John-Susie
I cooked for my husband and children-Mary
Lyle said he loved me-Haley
I finally told Haley that I love her-Lyle.
And yeah, stuff like that. I can't believe it's worth keeping in a museum, but that makes it perfect for preparing for Rio.
I was currently in the air ducts of Rocky Salt, scoping out the place. My heart almost stopped when I saw Amber Millington. Why was she here?! How did she know that I would be here?!
"A is coming. I know he is. Make sure the entire place is secure, alright?" Millington was barking out orders, and I had to admit, she looked hot while doing it. Wait what? Well... Um... never mind that. I have a task to focus on the rock, not Amber.
I inched my way through the air ducts until I was right on top of the rock's exhibit. I scanned the area, and saw that my plan was already in motion. I had sent a mini robot into the museum while I was disguised as a maintenence man, and the robot could only be seen with special glasses I was wearing. Although, I'd be in big trouble if anyone tripped over it. I had a backpack with my maintenence man costume, and a safe pocket to store the rock in.
Using the magnification application on the glassses, I zoomed in on the robot. It was a small black square that could move, and hold the rock. The floor had various spirals in black that the robot was traveling on. Controlling the robot with controls on the right arm of the glasses, I sent it to the rock, and pushed a button on the left arm of the glasses. A mini projector I had placed in the wall of the museum projected a perfect hologram where the rock was. My robot took the rock, and the hologram made it look like nothing happened. Unless someone should walk in front of it, which means I need to get out of here fast. But before leaving, I threw my 'A' down through the vent.
Dressed as a maintenence man again, I pocketed the rock in my suit. I am pretty thin, so the rock looked like fat. I put on my prosthetic mask so my appearance would change completely, and put the robot in a fake garbage bag that I slung over my shoulder. I quickly took the faculty exit just as I heard someone yell "IT'S A HOLOGRAM! THE ROCK HAS BEEN STOLEN!" I ran quickly to my car, knowing Amber would already be looking for me. I couldn't take my bike, because it would be too obvious.
As I was leaving the parking garage, I smirked to myself as I passed right by a very agitated looking Amber Millington holding my metal 'A'.
