Chapter 11

Arriving on the boat, Irving stared at them as they looked around for him. He glared at them as he walked over to them, he wasn't gonna take this any longer. "Won't you all just die already!? You're making me look bad." He said as they all aimed their weapons at him. None of them were gonna let him get away until they get the information they need. "Who did you think got this entire operation off the ground? Research like this doesn't find itself, you know. Yet everyone looks down on me." Irving continued on talking as he reached into his pocket and got out a sample of Uroboros. "But not anymore." He said with a smirk as he stared at the Uroboros sample in his hand. "Don't do it!" Carlos yelled out as he noticed what Irving was gonna do. Irving ignored him. "I'm far beyond anything you could ever hope to become!" he said as he injected the Uroboros into his neck. The others stared in shock as his injected the virus into his body. "You've got to be kidding me." Irving then dived into the water. The STARS all ran to the side of the boat and looked down to see if they can see Irving, only to have a giant monster pop its head out of the water. "Shit!" they all cursed out. The monster opened its mouth only for Irving to pop his body out as the monster's tongue. "I just had an extreme makeover!" Irving laughed out as the monster dived back into the water, causing the boat to shake.

Moving away from the railings of the boat, they all looked around for anything to stop this monster. A beep from Sheva's radio was heard. "Sheva! Status report! What the hell is that thing!?" josh's voice was heard. "Just get outta here, Josh! It's too dangerous!" sheva said not wanting for her friend to be killed. They all turned to see that Irving's monster had popped out of the water and was swimming alongside of the boat. "We'll try to stop it!" jill said as she aimed her gun at the monster and fired. "Understood. Just try not to get yourselves killed!" josh said as he let them do whatever they needed to do. Everyone fired at the monster trying to find it's weakness, but nothing was seeming to work. The monster turned towards the boat and roamed right into it, causing them all to fall to the ground. "Fuck! He's tough." Chris said as he got up and fired at the monster again. "Something that undergoes such a rapid transformation must have a weakness." Leon said not liking how this was going. "Maybe those machine guns can help us kill this mother fucker." Steve said as he and Sherry ran to the machines and aimed it at the monster and fired.

Every time they hit it, it just wasn't gonna go down. "It's not working. Where the hell is its weakness?!" sherry asked looking pissed. "Wait, maybe that spot on its face. Maybe that could be its weakness." Rebecca pointed out. Steve and sherry aimed and fired. Getting the monster to roar gave them the answer. The spot on its face was its weakness. "Yes! Now at least we know where the weak spot is. Keep firing until Irving shows his ugly face." Chris ordered as Steve and Sherry continued to fire at the monster. They stopped as the monster went under water. "Shit! Where the fuck did it go?" steve asked as he and sherry looked for the monster only to have tentacles popping out of the water and moving towards them. "What the fuck?! Look out!" steve shouted out as he and Sherry dodged out the way as the tentacles slammed into the spot they were at. "Fuck! Everyone be careful!" billy said as he also dodged out the way as another tentacle slammed into the deck. "We have to take them out if we want to get to Irving." Carlos said as he ground his assault rifle and fired at the tentacles, Billy, Leon and chris joined in as steve and Sherry ran back to the machines and used them on the tentacles. The others kept on dodging out the way from the tentacles.

Firing one more shot, caused the tentacles to go underwater and the monster returned. "There's the ugly thing!" sherry said as she fired at the weakness, steve alongside of her. "Kepp on firing, we need to get it to open its mouth to show Irving." Chris ordered as he and the others watched as the monster kept being shot at. The monster roared out as Sherry fired another shot at its weakness, causing it to go back under water. "I hope to fucking god that its not bringing those tentacles back out." Sheva said as she got her gun out ready just in case. Suddenly, two tentacles grabbed the poles at the back of the boat and the monster's head popped out of the water and opened its mouth to reveal Irving laughing. "There's the little bastard!" leon yelled out as he ran to the other machine gun and aimed it at Irving and fired. Sherry followed him. Irving yelled out as he got shot after shot after shot. The STARS all came to the back of the boat and aimed their weapons and fired. They wanted to help take down Irving and this monster quickly.

Glaring at Irving in hatred, Carlos switched his assault rifle to single shot and aimed at Irving's face, he was gonna get him in the eye if it's the last thing he'll do. Putting his finger on the trigger, Carlos pulled it and a single bullet was sent flying towards Irving's face, hitting him right in the eye, causing the monster to roar out in pain and also to swing its head side to side, back and forth. "This cannot be!" Irving yelled out as the monster bit into its tongue causing Irving to be thrown towards the deck of the boat right in front of the STARS who backed away at first not liking the look at how Irving had become. "Gross." Claire mumbled out as she and the others then walked towards Irving who was struggling to get up. Chris aimed his gun at his head. "Tell us what you're planning to do! And where is Naatsha?" he ordered as he glared at Irving. Irving gasped in pain and tried to breath. "Damn Excella! I guess I wasn't worth the good stuff." He said instead of giving them the answers that they need. Sheva looked very confused. "Excella?" she questioned. The others turned to her and then back to Irving. Carlos took the PDA device from Chris and kneeled down in front of Irving and showed him the screen. "Where's this facility!?" he asked, but Irving ignored him. Carlos was getting really pissed off. "Answer me! What is the Uroboros project!?" he asked as he glared. "The STARS… wow, you are just on top of everything, aren't ya? The balance of the world is changing and you're completely oblivious to it." Irving said as he bled. Everyone looked very confused. "What's changing? What are you talking about!? Is it the Uroboros project!? Is that it!?" jill asked as she stood beside Chris. "It's too late now… no one can stop it. Uroboros is about to change everything…" Irving said but stopped as he let out a scream of pain causing Jill and Chris to grab Carlos and pull him away from Irving. "Carlos!" Irving then started to laugh. "Carlos? So you're Carlos…" Irving asked as he continued to laugh causing Carlos to glare at him even more. "What's so funny? How do you know about me?" he asked Irving as he pointed to himself. Irving chuckled and then lifted up a hand towards a cave. "All your answers await ahead, Carlos… in that cave. If you can survive long enough to get them." He said which made everyone turn to the cave where the huge problem will begin. Coughing caused them to turn back to Irving. "Dying's not so bad. But it's not gonna change anything! You're still screwed!" Irving laughed out as he smirked evilly at them all. "We're wasting time here." Chris said as he aimed his gun at Irving. "Chris…" jill stopped him as they watched Irving gasp and then die right there in front of them. "Poor bastard." Billy mumbled out which made everyone turn to him and then back at the dead Irving. "Now what?" Claire asked as they all walked towards the railings of the boat. "We keep going." Chris said which everyone nodded. Sheva grabbed her earpiece and pressed a button. "Josh? Are you there?" she asked. "Yeah, is everything alright?" Josh asked. "Yes, we need you to pick us up. We have a new lead." Sheva said and nodded to the others who also nodded. "Roger that. I'm on my way." Josh said as he hanged up. The others stood there and waited for Josh, which wasn't too long. It was only about three minutes and they could see a glance of the boat with Josh in it. Josh waved at them and turned the boat to its side. "Let's go." He said to them. One by one they climbed down into the boat and were off towards the cave.

Arriving at the cave, everyone looked around the place. It was quiet and dark. "So this is the place he was talking about." Chris said as they came to a dock. Sheva stood up and pointed ahead. "That's the boat the woman used to get away." She said as everyone stood up too. "If we hurry, maybe we can catch up to her and find out where Natasha is." Everyone nodded to leon's advice and they all apart from Josh got off the boat as he parked it close to the dock. "So, you all are really gonna go through with this?" Josh asked them and they all nodded. "Yes." Chris answered for everyone. "This is not just about Natasha, but the Uroboros project as well." Sheva said to her friend who nodded. "I guess there's nothing I can do to stop you. Try not to get yourselves killed. Good luck." Josh said as he drove the boat around and towards the exit of the cave, but not before giving them all a two finger salute.
