Stella's P.O.V:
We were in the Jeep and Scott was freaking out because the dumbass-I mean, Stiles, kept the wolfs bane we found on Derek Hale's property in his bag.
"Stop the car!" Scott yelled. Stiles pulled over and we both got out. He grabbed the bag that contained the wolfs bane and flung it into the woods.
I slapped his arm and he yelped, "What was that for?!"
I narrowed my eyes, "You kept the freaking wolfs bane in the Jeep where YOUR BEST FRIEND WHO IS A WOLF WOULD BE!"
He gave an innocent shrug and I rolled my eyes, turning around. The Jeep was still there but Scott was now missing.
"Uhh, Stiles? Where's Scott?"
He turned around and saw that Scott was no longer in the passenger seat and began looking around, "...Scott?"
"We gotta find him c'mon!" I said getting into the Jeep and closing the door.
Stiles got in and gave me his phone, "Call Deputy Smith and put it on speaker" I nodded as he started the Jeep. I turned the phone on and was immediately met with a picture of Stiles and I that Scott took last year. It was when the three of us decided to go paintballing and Stiles and I were covered head-to-toe in bright colors. He had his arm around me and I was hugging his torso, we both were beaming. I felt myself smile as I pressed the button taking me to his Contacts. I found 'Deputy Smith' and hit 'Call' then "Speaker.'
On the third ring, Deputy Smith's voice answered, "Stiles you know you can't call me when I'm on duty." I held the phone towards Stiles so she can hear him talk and began looking out the window through the trees we drove past for any signs of Scott.
"I just need to know if you've gotten any odd calls" Stiles said with a tinge of panic in his voice.
"Odd how?" She asked curiously
I looked at Stiles, "Uhh...like..like an odd person or..a dog-like individual roaming the streets?" I gave him a weird look hearing his reply.
"Um, I'm hanging up on you now."
"NO! Wait wait !" Stiles screamed into his phone.
"Goodbye." She said hanging up.
I shook my head and threw the phone in the back seat, "No freaking help"
Stiles and I kept driving for a while through the Woods and then the town but there was no sign of Scott anywhere.
I looked at Stiles sideways, "You know he's most likely going to still play lacrosse tonight, right?"
He sighed and ran a hand over his hair, "Yup."
We decided to just go to the school because the game started in an hour.
"I'll be watching!" I said to Stiles as he was taking his Lacrosse bag out of the trunk.
He turned to me, "You won't be watching much. It's not like I'm going to play anyways"
I frowned, "Aw c'mon! You never know if Coach will put you in." We began walking together, "You never know, maybe you're the secret weapon."
He laughed, which made me smile, "Maybe. I'm going to get ready and see if Scott's in there, I'll see you when the game starts."
I got to the field and saw Scott's mom sitting on the bleachers, "Hi Melissa!" I sat next to her.
She gave me a smile, "Hey Sweetie. Came to see the boys?"
"Of course! Scott's first game, wouldn't miss it for the world." I replied but it came out a little more worried.
The whistle blew, signaling that the game has begun. I looked over to Stiles who was anxiously chewing on his glove and watching Scott. I looked over at the field to see Scott and Jackson both running towards the ball. I stood to watch what would happen and suddenly Jackson pushed Scott, who fell, and scored a goal. The crowd burst out in applause and I just sat back down. That was low. I looked a few seats away to see Lydia and Alison holding up a sign saying 'WE LUV U JACKSON,' causing me to roll my eyes. I looked back to Stiles to see him staring at the sign too, then turning back to Scott, who was also reading it.
I looked back over to where Lydia and Alison were holding up the sign. Maybe If I focused hard enough...All of a sudden the sign ripped right through the middle. I smiled in triumph and saw Stiles attempting to give me a scolding look but failed because he was clearly trying hard not to smile.
I turned to Melissa, "I'm going to get a better look and sit with Stiles"
"Go ahead" she said with a wink and a smirk. I gave her a questioning look and went over to Stiles. I gave him a nudge and he looked up, moving over to give me space.
"Oh, this is not going to be good." He stated, shaking his leg up and down and going back to biting on the glove. Clearly the current situation and the Adderall he took daily was making his nerves go haywire.
I put my hand on his thigh and he froze, "Calm down. Scott's fine so far let's just see what happens." He gave me a nod and we turned to the field again. Scott was leaning down and his body seemed really tense, "Stiles, look."
He started rubbing his neck nervously, muttering a "no."
I turn around to see Lydia and Alison with yet another sign. I let out a groan and proceeded to rip that one as well before Scott saw it.
Stiles must have noticed because he muttered, "too late" and I saw Scott look from the girls and back to the Lacrosse game. I sighed.
The whistle blew and the ball went into the air. It all happened so fast, Scott jumped into the shoulder of one of the other team's players and caught it. I gasped and stood, watching everything go down. Scott ran across the field moving and dodging anyone that was in his way, then, he scored a goal. The crowd began going wild for him, not Jackson now.
"WOOO! GO SCOTT!" I screamed jumping up and down. I turned to see Stiles freaking out as well.
"YESS! WHAT! WOO!" He gave random people high fives and he pulled me into a death grip hug. He let go and started running onto the sidelines and waving frantically behind Coach, who was yelling "Pass to McCall!"
Stiles came back before they blew the whistle and sat down, "Did you see that?!"
The ball went up and was caught by the other team. I groaned but the player didn't move. He was staring at Scott, frozen. Then, suddenly, he gave Scott the ball.
Coach sat beside us, "Did the other team just...deliberately hand us the ball?"
Stiles, who was beginning to chew on his glove again answered, "Yes, I believe so Coach."
I was still watching Scott, who was untouched by any of the players on the field. He got closer to the goal and threw the ball, which went through the goalie's net and scored a goal.
"What?!" I yelled getting up. That was amazing!
Scott began moving more erratically and animal like, which made me stop my cheering "No, Scott..."
As soon as he was about to be tackled by two players on each side of him, he threw the ball into the net, scoring a goal and winning the game. I felt someone pull me into an embrace and realized it was Stiles who was jumping up and down, screaming "YESSS! OH MY GOD." In the midst of doing this, he kissed my cheek, making me freeze up in his grip. He probably noticed because he let go immediately and rubbed his neck, avoiding my eyes. I mentally kicked myself for reacting like that and watched the crowd flood the field.
Papa Stilinski found us but he was on the phone. I noticed Stiles throwing his head back and sighing, then turning to his dad, "Dad? What's wrong?" But all he got was a finger telling him to wait. I finally caught his gaze and we exchanged questioning looks.
"Stella! Hey, have you seen Scott?" Melissa asked walking up to me, hands in her pockets.
I looked around and didn't see any sign of Scott anywhere, making my stomach tie in knots, "Um, I'll go see if I can find him.." I pulled Stiles, who just got finished talking to his dad, with me.
"I can't find Scott." I told him seriously.
"Me either, but- can't you, like, do your...witchy mojo and track him down?"
It dawned upon me that I can try , but how? "I don't know how"
He gripped my shoulders and leaned down facing me, he was so close and his brown eyes bore into mine, "Just..focus..close your eyes and focus"
I did as he said and closed my eyes. I concentrated on finding Scott and suddenly my mind turned black and white. I was standing in front of the school. The doors open and I was being taken through the halls by an unknown force that kept pushing me to keep going. Then, it stopped at the boy's locker room door.
I took in a sharp breathe and opened my eyes to see Stiles staring at me concerned, "did you see anything?"
I grabbed his arm, "Boy's locker room, c'mon"
We rushed through the empty halls and to the locker room. Stiles turned to me, "I'll go n first okay? I don't want you to get hurt" I tried to protest but he gave me a look and went inside. I sighed and waited for about 2 minutes and decided that Stiles was taking too long. I opened the door into the dark empty room.
"Stiles?" I called out in a whisper, but received no reply. I kept walking but stopped when I saw Stiles behind some lockers looking at something. I furrowed my eyebrows and went over to him. He jumped a little when he saw me approaching and then put a finger to his lips. He nodded toward the showers. I stood in front of him, causing my back to be fairly close to his front. I blushed and noticed that he didn't move so neither did I. I looked at the showers to see Scott and Alison kissing and smirked.
"I should get back to my dad." she whispered to Scott, who nodded. She gave him one last kiss before pulling away and noticed Stiles and I.
"Hey..guys.." She said with a little wave.
I raised my eyebrows and smirked, "Hey Alison." She left and I looked back at Scott who had the stupidest grin on his face and was walking towards us.
"I kissed her" He said, still smiling.
"We saw" Stiles replied.
Scott looked like he was going to explode from happiness, "She kissed me."
"We saw that too" I piped in, "It's pretty good, huh?"
"I-I don't know how, but I controlled it...I pulled it back. Maybe I can do this, maybe it's not that bad!"
Stiles looked uncomfortable, "Yeah! We'll talk later then!" He grabbed my wrist gently and turned to leave. I look at him questionably and Scott pulled him back by his sleeve.
He noticed something was off too, " What?"
Stiles let out sigh, "Well, let's keep it simple... The medical examiner determined that the killer was animal, not human, Derek human, not animal, Derek not the killer... Derek let out of jail"
"Are you kidding?" I asked out loud.
"Nope, and there's bigger kick in the ass. My dad identified the dead girl...both halves...Her name was Laura Hale."
"Hale?" Scott and I said at the same time.
Stiles frowned, "Derek's sister."
Back on the Lacrosse Field.
Jackson is alone and picks up Scott's forgotten glove. He examines it , only to find holes at the fingertips. He then feels another presence behind him. He turns around to see a figure, Derek Hale, looking at him a few feet away with his hands in the pockets of his leather jacket. They locked eyes for a moment, then Derek turns around and walks away, leaving Jackson confused alone once more.
