"It was our first and only date. So, I guess you could call it... Awful?" I felt a little bad, but I was also happy. Although, this just meant that Eddie would find another girl soon enough.

But before I could say anything else, Eddie headed to his room with a quick "Night Yacker." I stared after him, before sinking back into the couch. Realising that it was almost 10:00, I quickly packed up my school stuff. and hurried to my room. After getting ready for bed, and getting into bed, I recognized the expression on Eddie's face.

Angry. Eddie had looked Angry.

Chapter 3

Surprisingly, Eddie did not get a girlfriend over the next few weeks. Most of the trouble that happened, happened mostly with Joy. Take yesterday for example.

Yesterday(Saturday)

I walked into my room to see Joy crying.

"What happened now?" I asked slightly annoyed. This better not be something pointless. I swear, I will murder that girl if she says she lost her dress or something.

"Trix, you were right. Fabian will always love Nina!" she exclaimed through tears. Oh. So if that was it, I actually felt bad.

"I actually heard them say they loved each other today in the common room!"

"Well, maybe there's someone else," I said, kneeling down next to her.

"You know that I've had a crush on Fabian since the day I met him, How could there be anyone else?!" She continued to sob, making me feel worse.

And yeah... That's an example of how my Saturday went. Joy's spent the entire day moping, and I didn't know if I should be irritated, or if I should have felt bad. And to make it worse, Eddie's lack of girlfriend(s) made the situation more complicated for me. And was he actually into me? (Yes, I'm back to that question), or was he flirting with me? It seemed to be too much for flirting. But, still, with Eddie, it'll always be hard to tell.

After lunch, there was a knock at my door, and before I even answered, Eddie walked in.

"I didn't say you could come in. What if I didn't have any clothes on, Weasel Face?" I asked, pretending I didn't want him here.

"I wouldn't have minded, Yack Ball" he said with a smirk on his face. My face burned bright red, and he laughed a little.

"Anyways, I came here to tell you that my dad put us together for the science project." I almost forgot about that. Sweetie was supposed to email us, but I rarely check my school email.

"Aw Why! Now I'll fail considering your record, Doofus," I said. Even though in reality, I couldn't even explain how happy I was. Hours spent alone with Eddie would be amazing.

"Yeah... And just to let you know, My dad's the science teacher, as previously mentioned," he added

"Really! And just to let you know, I'm the only one in the school who knows that, Slimeball," I said, and he joined me in laughter. It felt nice knowing that Eddie was at least my friend, if not boyfriend, and he trusted me with that secret.

"Anyways, see you later, Yacker. I'm going out." As he began to leave, I just had to blurt out, "Where?!"

He looked up in surprise, but answered anyways. "Just for a walk."

"I'll join you," I volunteered, and felt relieved when he agreed.

"Yeah sure, c'mon," he said, and gestured downstairs.

A calm silence fell over us as we started the walk, following a trail through the woods behind Anubis (don't ask me, Eddie picked the location).

"So, for the science project, we have to teach the class about something we've learned in the past," Eddie said, breaking the silence.

"Trees?" I ask, mostly because we were in the midst of who-knows-how-many trees.

"Actually, that's not a bad idea," he said, stopping in front of a sugar maple (at least I still know how to identify trees).

"Really?" I ask, surprised he actually agreed on an idea I just pulled out of the top of my head.

"Sure, we can list traits of tree leaves and bark, we'll finish in no time," He said with a huge smile on his face as he gazed up at the tree.

"Of course That's all you care about, Slimeball. You care about the amount of time you'll have to waste of your precious life doing school-work," I said with a playful smile.

"Well, wouldn't you rather be doing something else, too?" He asked, with an equally playful smile.

I pretended to be embarrassed, and looked down. "No comment," I replied. Eddie laughed, and gently shoved my arm. Unfortunately, I lost my balance, and fell down a little hill. Eddie, realising his mistake, tried to grab me, but he fell, too. Soon, we were laughing and tumbling down the hill. When we stopped, the two of us exchanged a look and burst into more laughter. Even though I had gotten a few scrapes, that was the highlight of my day.
