Gift of the Force- Chapter 4: Through The Eyes Of The Revan.
How had it come to this? Defeat at the hands of mere children? He who had twice been held as the Savior of the Galaxy. He who had walked the paths of both light and dark, and found truth in the middle? Was that it, Hubris? Was pride his down fall? Yes, now he saw the truth. That his destiny was never to stop the Emperor, only to slow him. Stopping the Emperor would have to fall to someone else, his time was now over.
"In the end, as the darkness takes me... I am nothing. Now I know how you felt...old friend." Whispered Revan, as he prepared himself for the finishing blow. Only to feel a surge of The Force build up inside of him, till it erupted in a wave of purple energy, and that was the last the Galaxy would see of Revan for a very long time.
Revan awoke only too find himself alone in a space of pure light. The odd thing was that as bright as light was, it did not hurt his eyes.
'Where am I?' He thought. Was this the Netherworld of The Force? He had always thought there would be more too it then this. Was he really dead?
"No my love, you are not dead." Revan turned his head sharply, not believing his eyes as he beheld someone whom he had long since given up hope of seeing again.
"Bastila?" Revan whispered. She just smiled and nodded her head. Revan walked up too her tentatively, placing a hand on her cheek. When he felt the warmth of her skin on his hand, Revan could contain himself no longer. Grabbing her up in a fierce hug, he kissed her passionately. A kiss she was more then happy to return.
"But how is this possible if I'm not dead? How are you here?" Asked Revan once the kiss had broke.
Bastila smiled softly at her husband. "Your Spirit was brought here so I could explain what is going on, too you."
"What do you mean, my spirit was brought here? And just where is here?" Asked Revan.
"Your body has been suspended in time, hidden away until the time when you are needed again. As to where we are. This is a halfway point between life and the Netherworld of The Force." Said Bastila.
"Wait, what do you mean suspended in time? My time has long been over, my battle with those Sith proved that. I'm ready to be with you, and our son!" Said Revan, not wanting to be separated from Bastila again.
"I'm sorry Love, The Force still has need of you. But I have been told to tell you that this is your last. After this you will be allowed to move on, to claim your place with me and our son in the light." Said Bastila, trying to console her husband.
Revan let out a long suffering sigh. "What must I do?"
With that Bastila began to explain, when she was was done Revan looked at her in shock. "So let me get this straight. I'm to be frozen in time for roughly 3622 years, then be freed by a man who was sent 65 years back in time. So I can help him change the fate of the Galaxy?"
"Yes." Said Bastila, simply.
"Buy why? Why does The Force want to change the course of history?" Asked Revan. Out of all of it this was what confused him the most. What could make The Force change it's mind? So to speak.
"In about 45 years from the time you awaken. An extragalactic race know as the Yuuzhan Vong will invade. The Yuuzhan Vong exist outside of The Force. Their invasion threw the planed course of history into chaos. People who were supposed to live, died. People who were supposed to go dark, stayed light. And some who were supposed to stay light, went dark. This has caused The Force to hit the reset button, if you will." While Bastila was explaining this, Revan was stunned! A race that Existed outside of The Force? Was such a thing even possible? Then he though of his old friend Meetra Surik who existed as a wound in The Force.
While Revan was having these thoughts, Bastila was continuing to explain. "The Force was forced to come up with a new course of history, that included the Vong invasion. That is what you and Luke Skywalker will be doing. You will be making it so that the Vong invasion won't be quite so detrimental."
"Okay, I get it. We have to save the Order, and help prepare them for what is to come." Said Revan, getting a nod from his wife.
"But what can you tell me about this Luke Skywalker?" He asked.
"Luke Skywalker is the second most powerful Jedi to have ever existed. His father being the first, though in the original time line a set of vary unfortunate events prevented his father from ever reaching his full potential. Oh and he is also our descendent." Said Bastila, adding the last part almost as an after thought.
"WHAT?!" Revan exclaimed! "What do you mean he's our descendent?"
"You are aware of how our line continued through our son,
all the way to Grandmaster Satele Shan?" She asked? Revan nodded his head.
"Okay so what you might not know was that Satele had a son in secrete with a Republic Commando named Jace Malcom. Their son Theron was born Non-Force sensitive. Satele would be the last of our line who was born Force sensitive for a vary long time. Our bloodline continued to be pasted on through Theron. Changing last names several times, till finally the last of our bloodline a slave girl named Shmi Skywalker. Would have a son born of The Force, his name was Anakin Skywalker. Luke's father." Said Bastila.
Revan would go on to talk not only too Bastila, but his son Vaner, Meetra Surik, and all his old friends from the Ebon Hawk. Revan would leave the Halfway Point feeling more at peace then he ever had. For he knew that once he was done, would be with his loved ones once again. And so Revan's spirit once again entered his body. Where it would remain frozen until his descendent would awaken him.
Revan awoke feeling like he had just called Zaalbar a walking carpet. Something you don't say to a Wookie. The first thing he noticed upon waking was the sterile smell of a med lab. Opening his eyes he instantly had to close them again. The bright light hurt his eye's, after a few minutes of squinting his eyes adjusted to the light in the room. He hesitantly looked around the room, confirming that it was indeed a med lab. In the corner of the room sat a man in a black Jedi cloak and silver armor, looking right at him.
"Ah, good you're awake. I had sensed that you were starting to come around." Said the man in a calm voice.
"W-Were am I?" Revan asked a little weaker then he would have liked.
"The Jedi Temple on Tython. My name is-" The man said only for Revan to finish his sentence for him.
"Luke Skywalker." Said Revan. The man looked a little stunned, but nodded his head none the less.
"How did you know?" Asked Luke.
"I was made aware by the spirit of my wife." Said Revan, he expected Luke to look at him oddly. But the man just smiled slightly and nodded his head again, in acceptance of Revan's statement. Of course Revan didn't know that Luke had had a similar experience.
"How long was I out?" Asked Revan as he sat up on the Med Table.
"Three weeks. You were wounded pretty badly when I found you, and had to spend two weeks in the Bacta Tank." Said Luke.
Something about that seemed odd to Revan, why use Bacta and not Kolto? Deciding it was better to ask. "Why didn't you put me in a Kolto Tank? It would have been faster."
"Kolto? Kolto hasn't been used as a healing agent for nearly two thousand years. Not since Bacta was proven to be better." Said Luke slightly confused. There was something defiantly wrong with that statement, and Revan had a theory as to what it was. But it would have to wait.
"Besides I had to use a rather underhanded Mind Trick on a merchant just to get the Bacta." Luke finished speaking.
That struck Revan as kind of odd. "Why?"
"Why, what?" Asked Luke once again confused.
"Why did you use a Mind Trick on the merchant? Why not just buy the Bacta?" Asked Revan.
"You said the spirit of your wife told you about me? About where or rather when I'm from?" Asked Luke.
Revan nodded his head. "Yes, she told me about you and your mission. As well as quite a few other things."
"Well one of the down sides of going back to a time before you were even born. Is that your bank account won't have been set up yet." Said Luke.
Revan nodded, he should have guessed that. But really it's not like he was familiar with all the intricacies of time travel. Honestly, who was? Revan did however wonder if his bank account was still open? Banks were known for keeping really great records, so it was possible. Though it was not like he had a lot in there to begin with.
Revan and Luke talked for a bit longer. Mostly about what they had to work with, along with some of what they had to do. It was at that point that a Protocol Droid walked into the Med Lab carrying what looked like a bundle of clothes. "Here are the robes you requested Master Luke."
"Thank you Seetoo." Said Luke as he took the robes from the Droid.
"You are quite welcome, Sir. Well there be anything else?" The Droid asked.
"Yes, please prepare a room in the Master's Quarters for our guest." Said Luke, gesturing towards Revan.
"Right away, Sir." Said C2-N2 as he left the room.
Luke handed Revan the robes. "Here put these on, then we can go grab some food and talk some more."
After Luke had stepped out of the room, Revan started to change into the clothes. They were the traditional tan robes and brown cloak of the Jedi. After he had secured his robes with his utility belt. He threw on his new brown cloak, and headed out of the room. Luke was waiting on the other side of the door, he gave him a one over before smiling slightly.
"Now you look like a Jedi." Said Luke, before pulling something out from behind his cloak. It was something Revan was just about to ask Luke about, his Lightsaber.
Revan took his lightsaber from Luke, and ignited it's violet colored blade. Satisfied that his weapon still worked, Revan killed the blade and clipped the hilt to his belt. "Thank you. I was wondering what happened to it."
"Don't mention it, I know what it's like to be without a lightsaber." Said Luke, with a smile.
They made their way to a lounge, on the main floor of the temple. As they sat down to eat, Luke asked what had been as his mind. "So since you were brought here to help me, I assume you have an idea as to what we should do next?"
Revan took a bite of his food, savoring the taste as he thought about Luke's question. Did he have an idea? Yes. Would it work? He didn't know. "Honestly, from what my wife told me of the things that are too come. I would say what we need is the Star Forge."
"What's the Star Forge?" Luke asked.
"It's a highly advanced space factory. It was built by the Infinite Empire, long before the founding of the Republic. With it, they were able to amass an armada that put any fleet before or after it to shame. It can make virtually anything the user wants. Ships, droids, equipment, you name it." Explained Revan.
Luke was amazed at what was being described. Though he probably shouldn't have been. He had seen lots of ancient technology that far surpassed anything that could be made today. Such as Center Point Station. "That sounds like just what we need. But where is it?"
Revan grimaced. "That's where we have a problem. I had to destroy it to stop the Sith, in my time."
"Well then it won't do us much good will it?" Said Luke with a sense of anticlimax. Really what was the point of even bringing it up?
"Not necessarily." Said Revan, slowly.
Luke arched an eye brow at him. "How so?"
"Well... The Star Forge itself may be destroyed, but the plans for how it was made. Those might still exist, inside a temple on Lehon." Said Revan.
"What make's you say that? Wouldn't any plans or records of the thing, have long since degraded?" Luke asked.
"Normally yes. But the Rakata used Force Technology, self-repairing Force Technology. So the computer that housed the plans for it might still be going strong." Revan explained.
"And If we can get those plans, the Order could build a new Star Forge. That would off set the technological edge the Empire and the Yuuzhan Vong had over us. Alright... Let's do it. Do you know how to get to this planet Lehon?" Asked Luke.
Revan smiled. "Yes, if you got a ship. Then I can get us there."
Luke smirked at Revan. A few minutes later saw Luke leading Revan to the Hanger Bay, where the Fury Interceptor was housed. Revan let out an appreciative whistle upon seeing the ship. "A Fury-Class Imperial Interceptor, nice!"
"Yeah, the insides been retrofitted to fit a Jedi's tastes as apposed to that of a Sith. But still a lot of the systems and equipment needs to be updated." Said Luke kind of despairingly. This made Revan burst out laughing.
"What?! What's so funny?" Asked Luke, a little thrown off.
"N-Nothing! It's just... well, in my time. This was state of the art." Said Revan, getting the last of his laughter under control.
Luke cracked a little smile, he could see how that would be funny, from a certain point of view. "Yeah, but in this time. It's over three thousand years behind where it needs to be." Luke said, making Revan frown a bit at the reminder of just how long he had been frozen.
"She wouldn't stand much of a chance in a dog fight, as it is." Luke finished.
Revan thought for a second. The Galaxy was a dangerous place. It wasn't very wise to go riding in a ship that was an easy target. "Then maybe our first stop should be somewhere we can get some quick Credits, and good cheap parts."
Revan and Luke looked at each other and both had the same thought.
"Nar Shaddaa!" They both said at the same time. If you were looking to make a few Credits or buy something that would otherwise raise eyebrows, while keeping a low profile. Then the 'Smuggler's Moon' was the best place to go, if not the only place to go. The two set about preparing everything they would need for their mission. A few hours later they were on the ship and heading straight for the Smuggler's Moon.
'Nar Shaddaa hasn't changed much.' Revan thought to himself. Of course he couldn't decide if that was a good or a bad thing. Luke and He had arrived at the city moon and gotten clearance to land at one of the docks. That was one of those things about Nar Shaddaa that could be both good and bad, security on this planet moon was very lax. They landed at their designated Landing Pad, and headed to the exit ramp.
"Watch over the ship TeeSeven. We'll be back soon." Called Luke to the old astromech droid, as they were leaving the ship. TeeSeven beeped and chirped an affirmative. Once they had left the ship they were met by a Dock Manager.
"Ah, welcome to Ko Hentota. I'm Frederic Sapan, manager of this dock." Said a short balding man, kind of pompously. "I'm afraid there is a one time docking fee of 300 Credits and I shall need your names."
"Our names are of no consequence." Said Luke, with a wave of his hand.
"We don't need to pay the docking fee." Said Revan, likewise with a wave of his hand.
"Your names are of no consequence. Your stay here is on the house." Said Frederic, with a blank look on his face. His face cleared slightly. "Oh right, right. Is there anything else you will be needing?"
"No that will be all." Said Revan, as he and Luke walked past him.
"You know I'm not sure if that was ethically right, but I can't argue with the results." Said Luke once they were out of ear shot of the man.
Revan looked at him. "Did you have the money to pay him?"
"No." Said Luke.
"Nether did I. So we did what we had to do. No more no less." Said Revan, Luke let the subject drop.
"So where to now?" Asked Luke.
"First we find a banking terminal. There is a small chance that my old account is still open, and if that's the case we might can avoid having to mind trick every dock worker we meet." Said Revan. It wasn't long before they came upon an IGBC(InterGalactic Banking Clan) Terminal. Revan punched in all the relevant information. As it turned out his old account was still active. Bringing up his account balance, Revan's jaw about hit the deck.
Seeing his reaction Luke walked up to the terminal. "Whats wrong?"
Revan gestured toward the monitor. Luke looked at the monitor, this time it was him that let out a whistle. "So that's what over three thousand years worth of interest looks like. Got a planet you want to buy?" Luke joked.
"Planet? Unless prices have gone up since I went to sleep, try Star System." Said Revan shaking his head to clear it. "Well, at least we don't have to worry about making any Credits while we are here. And with this, we can afford top of the line upgrades for the ship."
Luke was about to respond when a commotion cut him off.
"COME BACK HERE YOU LITTLE SNEAK THIEF!"
Luke and Revan looked to see what was going on. A man in about his forties and dressed in business attire was running after a kid about eight or nine years old. And he was losing ground fast.
"SOMEBODY STOP HIM! HE STOLE MY WALLET!" The man cried out.
Revan acted uninterested, until right as the boy passed him. Then with the speed and reflexes of a Jedi reached out and grabbed the boy by the collar, and lifted him off his feet.
"HEY! WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA?! LET GO OF ME STOOPA!" The kid yelled.
"Not until you give the man back his wallet." Said Revan in a calm voice.
"Make me." Growled the kid. It was at this moment that the man came up panting and out of breath.
"T-Thanks... He...about...got away." Said the man, hunched over with his hands on his knees.
While the man was catching his breath, Revan reached into the boy's coat and pulled out the man wallet. "HEY!" Snapped the boy, but Revan ignored him, and handed the man who had gotten his breath back, the wallet.
"Is this it?" Revan asked.
The man nodded. "Yeah, thanks. The little brat stole it right out my pocket, but he messed up and I felt it."
"Not so smug now are you, you little punk!" Said the man as he raised his hand to smack the kid. The boy flinched, but before the man's hand could make contact. It was caught by Luke.
"There will be non of that! You can go about your day sir, we'll take care of the kid." Said Luke firmly. The man looked at both Luke and Revan, then nodded slowly.
"Alright fine! But that kid needs a beating." Said the man as he turned and walked off.
Meanwhile the kid continued his struggle to get out of Revan's grip. "Hey! Let go!" Said the boy.
Luke looked the boy over. He was about nine years old, he had scruffy brown hair, brown eyes and was a little on the skinny side. Luke couldn't shake the feeling that he had seen this kid somewhere before. He looked just like his nephew did at that age- Luke's eyes widened. "You, what's your name?" He asked.
"Why should I tell you?" Said the boy, stubbornly.
"Because if you don't we'll turn you over to the Hutts. I doubt you were going to share the profit of your hist with them, and you know how they feel about that." Said Revan. All the while wondering about the anxiety he could feel coming off Luke.
"And don't bother trying to lie to us." Said Luke, as he pulled his cloak back. Just enough for the boy to see the Lightsaber hanging at his side. "Cause we'll know."
The boy flinched. It was just his luck to end up caught by a couple of Jedi. Figuring he had no choice he told them his name. "It's Solo. Han Solo, happy now?"
Luke's faced turned a deathly gray, but he nodded non the less. "Alright let the kid go."
Revan looked at him kind of funnily but otherwise complied, and let the boy go. The boy took a second to straighten his ruffled clothes, before giving the pair of Jedi a rude hand gesture and running off. Revan turned too Luke who was watching the boy run off.
"What was that about?" He asked. Luke turned to look at him.
"That boy... He grows up to marry my sister." Luke said in a far off kind of voice.
Revan looked at Luke, then to the retreating boy, then back to Luke. He then snorted a small laugh.
"Time travel." Was all Revan could say. This caused Luke to start laughing.
"Time travel." He agreed, as he shook his head.
The two Jedi headed off to look for a Shop that could retrofit the ship, but wouldn't ask too many questions. Which shouldn't be too hard given this was the 'Smuggler's Moon.' It was while they were doing this, that they had somehow attracted the attention of four common street thugs. Consisting of three Rodians and a Human.
"Give us all your Credits!" Said the human, who appeared to be the leader. The four of them had each pulled out a blaster pistol.
Luke was about to try and talk them down, but before he could Revan beat him to the punch. "You do not want our Credits."
"We don't want your Credits." They all said in a monotone voice.
"You want to stop committing crimes, and follow your new dream of forming a dance group." Said Revan forcibly.
"I don't want to commit crimes anymore. I want to dance!" Said the leader, as he dropped his blaster.
The other three followed suit, saying things like 'Yes, dancing! Dancing, good.' After they had left to follow their new dream, Revan and Luke collected their Blasters.
"Was that last part really necessary?" Asked Luke.
Revan looked at Luke. "Necessary? No. But it was fun. And besides, who knows. They might make it big with their new dance group."
Luke just shook his head. At the least traveling with Revan promised to be interesting, if nothing else.
Revan and Luke found a Mechanic Shop that could do all the retrofits that was needed to the ship. No doubt that all the parts and equipment used by the shop were bought off the black market. But that didn't matter right now to the two Jedi. All they cared about was time, and a hefty tip by Revan had ensured that their ship went to the top of the waiting list. Yep in three weeks Revan and Luke would be flying a ship that would be able to out run and out gun almost anything it came across.
Luke and Revan had rented an apartment for the time being, until their ship was done. They pasted the time by talking about their past adventures, meditating, and sparring with their Lightsabers. Luke was impressed by Revan's skill with his blade. The Prodigal Jedi possessed some small skill in most forms, but favored Form IV. Luke wasn't afraid to admit that his companion was a master level swordsmen in Ataru. But what impressed Luke the most was not Revan's skill with his lightsaber, but his use of The Force to make up for his shortcomings. Anytime Luke would go to try to take advantage of an opening, he would be buffeted away by The Force.
If Luke was impressed by Revan's skill with a lightsaber, then Revan was in awe of Luke's. Luke's use of Form V seemed to be almost instinctive, Luke would rain down blows so strong that they would jar Revan's arms and leave him fighting to keep his footing. But what really stuck out to Revan was how Luke's fighting style seemed to incorporate both Form III and Form IV as well. Making a whole new style all together, and making Luke one opponent Revan would not want to face in a real duel. Revan could easily see how this man was Grandmaster of the Order.
They also passed time by teaching each other things about The Force, that the other didn't know. Luke taught Revan Quey'tek Meditation as the ability to shut yourself down in The Force would be important if they ever went anywhere near Coruscant. Revan on the other hand taught Luke Force Storm, which Luke incorporated into his Electric Judgment. They also discovered that they both were vary adapt Mechanics, when they set about to upgrade T7-01 now the little Astromech Droid could give R2 a run for his money. Though Luke secretly thought that R2 would still come out on top.
They also kept tight watch on the Holo News Network. Keeping tabs on the Clone Wars. Most of the fighting seemed to be contained too the Outer Rim territories. Revan bought the equipment needed to connect Tython to the Holonet. So as to keep watch on the War, and though he didn't say it out loud. So Luke could hear of his Father's adventures. All too soon the Ship was done and they were preparing to leave Nar Shaddaa to continue their mission. As they were inspecting the ships new upgrades Revan had a thought.
"You know, a ship this nice really needs a name." Said Revan, as they were checking out the armor upgrade.
Luke gave it some thought, then came up with an idea. "What was the name of your old ship again?"
Revan turned to look at Luke. "It was the Ebon Hawk."
Luke smiled, "Then I got the perfect name for it. The Shadow Hawk. In honer of your old ship the Ebon Hawk and mine and my wife's old ship The Jade Shadow."
Revan likewise smiled. The Shadow Hawk, he liked it. Using The Force and a nearby can of paint Revan inscribed Shadow Hawk on the Ships prow. Then had T7 change the ships registry from it's numeric designation too it's new name. "Alright, I guess there is nothing left to do but take her out."
Luke was amazed at how much of a difference the upgrades made to the Shadow Hawk. The speed and maneuverability, were on par with the Millennium Falcon. All in all she handled like a dream. After Revan had his turn at the wheel. The two put in the coordinates for Lehon, and off they went.
All too soon they had reached their destination, Lehon aka Rakata Prime. The planet itself seemed to be a tropical climate world with blue oceans and scattered islands. Oddly enough there was a metallic ring that surrounded the planet. As they got closer to the ring Revan let out a startled little noise.
"I can't believe it!" He said softly.
"Can't believe what?" Asked Luke.
"The Ring. It's the fragments of the Star Forge." He said in way of explanation.
"So?" Asked Luke. "What's so shocking about that?"
"That's not what's shocking. Look at the fragments." Said Revan.
Luke looked at the fragments of the Star Forge, still not seeing what Revan was talking about. "What about them?"
"The Star Forge was blown up! But these fragments show no scorch marks or melted edges or anything that would indicate that it had been blown to pieces." He said as he point at the fragments.
Luke looked again and saw that Revan was right the pieces of the Star Forge were in pretty good shape for having been blasted apart. "So, what does it mean?"
Revan looked at Luke with shock still in his eyes. "It means that it's repairing itself."
Luke eyes grow at that statement. "Is that even possible?"
"The Rakata used Force Technology that is far beyond anything we are able to make today. And most of their of technology is self repairing. But I had no idea that it would be possible to repair itself from that level of destruction." Said Revan in awe. "But the proof is staring us in the face. If given a long enough period of time, the Star Forge will piece itself back together."
Luke reached out in The Force, and sure enough he could feel the fragments trying to pull themselves together. He stopped to think for a second, he had an idea that was just crazy enough to work. After all he had done it before with his father's old fortress, and that wasn't trying to fix itself. "Wait, going down to the planet might not be necessary."
Revan looked at Luke waiting for him to explain, but he never did. Luke just sat cross legged on the floor and closed his eyes. Suddenly Revan felt an awesome amount of The Force flowing through Luke, it was like looking in too the heart of The Force. Revan himself had been called powerful on many occasions, but what he was witnessing now nearly defied logic. The pieces of the Star Forge pulled themselves from where the planets gravity held them, and started to arrange themselves. Like some kind of giant 3D jigsaw puzzle.
Soon the pieces formed a shape that was all too familiar to Revan. The Star Forge! There was a blinding flash of white light, and the Star Forge was whole once more. Luke came out of his trance a little winded but other wise fine.
"How did you do that?" Revan asked in awe.
"It wasn't as hard as it could have been." Said Luke as he caught his breath. "It was already trying to fix itself. I just sped up the process."
"Well in that case I only see one problem." Said Revan, though he still held a little awe in his voice. "How do we get it too Tython?"
"Leave that to me, I know a way. Just give me a minute to rest." Said Luke.
"Okay, but what should I do in the meantime?" Asked Revan.
"Pilot the Shadow Hawk into one of the hangers." Said Luke. Revan did as he was requested, and piloted the ship into the Star Forge. About an hour latter saw both Luke and Revan in Vac-suits heading to the Main controls of the Star Forge.
"This place is strong in the darkside." Said Luke.
Revan nodded. "Yes, the Star Forge represented the might of the Infinite Empire. But it turned out to be their greatest weakness. The Rakata were darkside users and overtime the Star Forge fed off there anger and hatred. It became a darkside nexus, and served to further draw the Rakata down the path of the darkside. Over the course of a few thousand years it corrupted the Rakata too the point that they could no longer use The Force. Given the fact that their technology was Force based, this proved to be the downfall of their empire. Which is why no one should spend prolonged periods of time here. And why it will once again need to be destroyed after we are done with it."
Revan was about to continue their trek to the control room after he was done explaining, but Luke stopped dead in his tracks. Suddenly Luke started to glow a pure white light, Revan could feel the calmness and caring flowing out of him, driving back the darkness of the Star Forge. Realizing what he was doing, Revan too joined him. Releasing pure lightside energy in to the Star Forge. The combined power of two of histories most powerful Jedi proved to be too much for the darkness of the Star Forge. For where there is light darkness can not remain.
When they were done there was not an ounce of darkness left it the Star Forge. No more would it corrupt anyone. Once they were in the control room, Revan turned on the back up power. Allowing fresh oxygen to fill the Star Forge and the two Jedi to remove their Vac-Suits.
"There is enough power to last a few days, but it will need to be positioned over a star before we start making anything." Said Revan.
"Right. How do you get it to make ships?" Luke asked.
"Over on this console here. You put in the design of the ship you want, how many you want, and the Star Forge does the rest. But the Star Forge doesn't just make ships, it can make droids, equipment, anything you want really. As long as you know how it is made." Explained Revan.
"So how are we getting it to Tython?" Revan asked.
"With a Force technique I learned from the Aing-Tii. It's called Fold Space. The Aing-Tii doesn't use Hyperdrives like the ships we use. They use the Fold Space Technique to move their ships from one location to the next instantaneously. In a lot of ways it is better then a hyperdrive. As you don't have to worry about Hyperspace Routs, and unlike Hyperspace travel its instantaneous. But you have to be strong in The Force to use it. You can also use it to teleport yourself instead of just a ship or equipment, but for some reason that takes more energy." Explained Luke.
Revan was amazed at what Luke could do, he was beginning to see what Bastila had meant about Luke's power. "Are you sure you can do it?"
"Yes, though I'll no doubt be exhausted afterward. I'll probably need to rest for a day." Said Luke.
Revan thought of something. "Do you need me around?"
"I shouldn't think so, why?" Asked Luke.
"Well if I'm not needed, then I'd like to take the Shadow Hawk too a planet my wife told me to check out. She said I would find something there that would prove helpful." Said Revan.
"Okay, but you'll have to show me how to work the Star Forge." Said Luke.
"Just get it over a star, the Star Forge will handle the rest." Revan told him. "Just send me holomessage when you are there so I know everything went okay."
About thirty minutes later and Revan was onboard the Shadow Hawk and in a fixed position where he could see the Star Forge. He watched in amazement as one second it was there and the next it was gone. A few minutes later Revan received a Holomessage from a rater haggard looking Luke.
"Made it." Luke panted, out of breath. "The Star Forge in over the sun and drawing power already. I'm going to find a bunk and rest, I'll make a dropship in the morning and head back to the temple."
"Alright, I'll check out the place my wife told me about then head back and we can plan our next move." Said Revan, Luke nodded then ended the call.
Revan sat in the pilots seat and punched in the coordinates for the plant Bastila had told him to go too. A planet called Mustafar.
Revan spent most of the journey ether sleeping or meditating. A few days later Revan arrived at Mustafar, a hostile volcanic world on the outer rim. Putting the ship in orbit around the planet, Revan stretched out his senses with The Force. He was looking for anything that might standout. At first the only thing he picked up was a mining facility run by droids. Surly Bastila wouldn't have sent him here for that.
Looking harder Revan felt something odd. It seemed to be a ship that was buried beneath the volcanic rock. Seeing as it was the only thing on the planet other then the mining facility that Revan could pick up, he decided to check it out.
He landed the Shadow Hawk a little bit away from where the ship was buried. Fortifying himself with The Force, so as to withstand the heat and fumes of the planet. Revan disembarked, soon he was at the sight where the ship was buried but he saw no opening in the rock to get to the ship. Stretching out with The Force, Revan focused on the Rock that surrounded the ship. Breaking it into chunks and sending it hurling away.
Revan looked at the now exposed ship, it was a ship from his time. A Hammerhead-Class Cruiser to be exact. Revan ventured carefully into the ship, and began to search for whatever Bastila had sent him to find. Thirty minutes of searching later Revan came upon something that made him freeze in his tracks. A vary familiar looking rust colored Droid.
"HK" Revan whispered, in awe. Was it really his old friend? He had saw the Sith strike team destroy him. Could someone have rebuilt him? Revan bent down to check the droid out, it seemed to be in perfect working order. It was just shutdown. Revan turned on the restraining bolt that was installed on him just to be safe, and reactivated the droid.
"Threatening Statement: Get your hands off me MEATBAG!" The Droid exclaimed as it sprang up to its feet.
Revan couldn't help but smile, that was HK alright. "HK its me, Revan. Your master."
The Droid froze in its tracks. It's eyes dimmed for a second before coming back even brighter. "Statement: Memories returning. Question: Is that really you master?"
"Yes HK. It's really me, I'm back." Smiled Revan.
"Joyful Statement: HK-47 is ready to serve master."
(A.N) Well that's it for chapter 4. What do you guys think? As you can see Revan's made a new friend and found an old one, and the Jedi Order will have a vary powerful tool at their disposal. I would like to warn all of you that my math just plane sucks! So to avoid further confusion Luke is back one year before he was born, so about 20 BBY. Now we won't get into the movie till about five or ten chapters from now. This will be an epic story that will span from now till episode six.
Well I hope you all enjoyed the chapter, if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask. As always please be kind and review. It's the only way I'll know what I need to improve on. See you next time.
Sincerely: Reddog24485.
