Chapter 6
Iris POV
'Guys someone needs to go help Daruis and Kacey.' Zig shouts pushing and kicking the dark knights away to join the rest of us in the middle.
'Kacey has powers, I'm sure they can protect themselves.' Zane answers, trying to defend off more dark knights that were appearing and advancing towards us.
'That's the problem, once they hit a certain distance from me, I can't communicate with them but just before I felt a blast of fear from Kacey. They're in danger.'
'Dammit she's in trouble.' Zane growls
'Lily and I will go check.' I say trying to clear a path.
'No I'll go, you guys stay with Zig.' Zane says attempting to clear a path as well.
'You three go, I'll take care of the rest.' Zig states opening up a path for us.
'Where are they?' Lily asks back flipping over a few of the knights.
'The beach, that's where the wave of fear came from, Hurry!' Zig answers
'Let's go.' I shout running towards the beach, Zane and Lily following closely behind.
When we arrived at the beach and followed the two sets of foot prints that I hoped were Daruis and Kacey. As we drew closer I noticed a giant carb thing fighting against an invisible force. Few metres away stood a pink figure who had their hands held up in front of them, which I was guessing was Kacey . Behind was Daruis, who was lying down, not moving.
"Kacey!" Zane yells. She gives us a glance and then faces back to the carb, who was still fighting against an invisible force, which I'm guessing was a constant gust of wind which Kacey was making.
"Someone needs to help Daruis." Kacey shouts.
"Iris you help Daruis and check Kacey. Lily and I will fight this monster." I Nod running over to the duo.
As I look over Daruis, he didn't seem to have any bad injures but there was a bump forming on the back of his head. Kacey sat down next me looking quite worried.
"He'll be fine, he has a hard skull." I say placing my hand on her shoulder, she chuckles.
"We always seem to find trouble when we don't want it." Kacey says, remembering the times when we were younger and all the times we had caused trouble or found trouble.
"It seems we do." I reply
"We even brought a stranger into it." Kacey says laughing a bit. I was wondering a boy who we just met was running around with us when could have found some other quiet people hang out with.
"True." She looks at me and then back to Daruis.
"You like Zig don't you?"
"No" I scream a little too loudly, if I could have seen behind Kacey's helmet she would have the biggest smile ever, blood was ruching to my face and it was good she couldn't see my face.
"You know we're supposed be to fighting a crab and not talking about boys."
"Okay, Okay." She says raising her hands up like she was surrounding.
Lily POV
I watch as Iris runs over and kneels beside Daruis.
"Lily, come on." Zane yells, motioning me to follow him.
The carb had changed his attention from Kacey to us and was running towards us with his claws snapping in our direction. Zane ran at it and starts punching and kicking it, not really affecting the crab. It seemed the crab's outer shell was much tougher than a normal crab and was much tougher than Zane thought. I hope Zig would come soon and help us out. I sprint towards the crab and flip over it; I managed to kick the crab's head harder enough to stun him for a few seconds. I land next to Zane.
"We need something to pierce his skin." Zane says backing away from the crab.
"And where are going get to something sharper enough to do that." I growled.
"We could roast it." Kacey shouts as she, Daruis and Iris run over. Daruis must have not been as injured if he was running around, but he still did not a suit like the rest of us.
"Where are we going to the fire to roast?" Zane asks
"Kacey can hit him with lighting." Iris answers and Daruis looked quite pleased with himself.
"I thought Kacey could only control the wind." I say
"You know you shouldn't forget about the enemy." The crab yells advancing towards us kicking up sand behind him.
"Um, right Iris barrier around him." Daruis yells, backing away so he was behind us.
"Okay." Kacey says raising her hands up, sand started to float and turn purple. The sand started to form a purple wall (see through) around the crab. The carb looked extremely shocked and confused, he runs straight at us only to have the wall stop him. He continued to smash in to the wall as more purple sand made the wall thicker.
"Kacey hit him with lighting now." Daruis yells.
There was a loud crack followed by a bright flash of light. The crab looked stunned, smoke rose from his body. Most of his skin had blackened and had major burns.
"Is it died?" Zane whispers, moving towards the wall. Answering Zane's question the crab falls forward.
"I guess that answers your question." Daruis states before standing next to Zane.
The rest of us joined Zane and Daruis, Iris's Barrier crumbling back to sand.
"Maybe it is just unconscious and not dead?" I Question.
"Let's not think about that, let's think about where we are going hide it." Kacey says.
"Throw it into the ocean maybe." Zane suggests. We look at him; Zane just shrugs his shoulder and then goes back to thinking of another way to hide it.
"That could work, it might be heavy and people could see us." Iris says.
"Could we forget about the carb for a second and I figure out why you guys are all in spandex." Daruis says giving us the most confused face ever.
"Um well that's a little hard to explain?" Zane says. We all look at each other than back at Daruis.
"I can help with that."
Zig POV
I probably should have kept one of the humans with me; they could have helped me defeat the knights a little more quickly than it did on my own. Most of the knights ran away realizing there was nothing holding me back anymore. After finally finishing off the rest that were too stubborn to leave, I remembered that the humans could still be in danger.
I started to panic; my attempts at contacting the humans had failed. Something was blocking my telepathic abilities. Running towards the beach, everything started to go blurry. The sounds of the crashing waves and the tiny whispers in the back of my mind faded away, the colour around me started to fade to grey. My head began pounding against my skull, making me feel dizzy, falling to my knee, loud voices echo through what was now like space, empty and void of any sound. I tried identifying the voices but with the pounding headache and the world around in a big blur, I felt like complete shit.
"Well, well, the slave prince on his knees, aren't you humiliated." A voice echoes.
"Who's there." I say, looking around, goose bumps appears on my arms. I remember the voice but I could not name it. I tried using my powers again and again failing.
"You look a bit shaken up Prince." The voice said again echoing through the void of emptiness.
"Who are you and what do you want?" I shout I start panicking; I'm pretty much useless without my powers.
"You wouldn't want to lose your little sister do you?"
"YOU!" I scream.
"Yes little Prince it's me."
"You hurt my sister in anywhere, I will kill you." I scream again, fear flooded my senses, my sister is in trouble and I'm struck on earth with no way of getting back.
"All you have to do is find the Angel stone for me."
"It's not like that the humans we let me take it."
"These worthless humans don't know anything about the stone, your time is running out, I wonder how long your sister can survive for." The voice says fading away, my powers slowly returning along with the colour and the sound of waves and the whispers of people's thoughts and feelings. A shot of pain rans though me as I struggle to place a mental block up and find Iris and the rest of the group.
"Where are you, Zig?" A familiar voice screams in my mind. Iris, she's alright and that means that the others might be alright as well. More of the groups thoughts and feelings flood into me as I finally continue own my way.
When I finally see them, they were all in a circle surrounding what looked like a burnt carb, which indeed was a burnt carb when I walked closer and got a better look. The group weren't even looking that the but were staring at Daruis.
"Can we forget about the crab and work out why you guys are in spandex." Daruis asks looking very confused.
"Um that's a little hard to explain." Zane answers
"I can help with that." I said walking up behind Lil and Iris, both jumping from my sudden appearance.
"Zig, you're okay." Iris breathes out, feelings of relief radiate from her.
"So what's wrong with them?" Daruis says confused even more.
"Nothing is wrong with them; it seems you have a Auish (Gift of God) gem."
"Auish gem!" The group questioned.
"Aarao made these gems, who is a god from Rai, many gifted warriors received Auish gems. It's a great honour to receive one of them." I say showing them my gem; it was white with a small black dragon in grieved into it.
"But this was given to me by my mum." Iris says showing a purple stone.
"I cannot explain how you came upon these gems but it shows that my gods have not abandoned my people and me." I sigh under my breath, I still might have some hope and be able to take back Rai and save my sister and the Angel stone from any harm.
A strong wave of disappoint burst into my mind. I look at the humans, my eyes falling on Daruis. The only one without a suit, thoughts of being unwanted came from him.
Why is he so disappointed?
The same power from the gems radiated from him like the others. Even the strongest warriors take years to master the gems powers. And I know from experience, it had taken me 2 years to unlock them. By the looks of it the humans had no knowledge of the gems powers and were still able to unlock them when they faced extreme danger. In my opinion the dark knights are not that scary or dangerous.
'Daruis what troubles you?' I say noticing his discomfort. He looks at the others, noticing the others had not heard the voice, he turns back to me.
'Nothing troubles me.' He answers.
'Why do you lie?'
He hesitates for a moment; feelings of worry and loneliness wash off him.
'I never really had friends before and I have finally made some and now I don't feel like I fit in. They all have cool powers that they use to protect themselves but I needed help.'
'You have a gem as well, I can feel it.'
'And It doesn't want to work.'
'You know Daruis, ii had taken me 2 years to unlock them powers and I'm sure your time will come soon.' But really hoped it didn't happen again, really shouldn't have introduced myself to them. None of this would have happened if I just had found the angel stone and defeated Javen myself.
I look up you see Daruis smile at me and turned to his friends and join in their conversation. I wish when this ends everything can go back normal, Thomas and I can go back to being friends, Zoe can focus on developing her powers and Uncle will be king.

Hey guys, sorry about the wait, I had everything written in my book and when I was typing it up my laptop broke, 2 weeks later it was finally fixed and then my dad's internet crashed and my school blocked this site which really sucked. I was aiming to for a longer chapter but I realised that I put more effort into my OC's than everyone else so I'm going to fix that up. The 7th chapter will be a flashback again; I'll try to make that longer. I would love some reviews, tell me about any grammar mistakes or anything really.
Thank you for waiting so long, I'll try really hard to get more chapters up.
