Sasuke and Toushi were running home from staying out rather late from practice. Sauske had suddenly got a cold feeling that ran up the length of his spine and abruptly stopped, turning to his sister. Toushi came to a slight skid behind him and looked up at her brother.

"Nii-San, what's the matter?" her little 5 year old voice said with a bit of a squeak from being slightly out of breath. Sasuke looked down at her with a slight smile, he patted her shoulder gently.

"Nothing Imoto…" He said this not knowing for sure what was going on. Not knowing what was right around the corner. Not knowing, that they will soon be experiencing the worst betrayal they will ever have. They started to run again for a little bit of a ways in order to reach the compound their clan lived at. They slid once again to a stop in an alleyway only to see the entirety of the clan murdered… Kunai and shuriken pierced their bodies mostly at vital points, as if someone with great precision had done so. Blood spatters lined the walls on ethier side of the two young Uchiha, and blood still ran across the ground as if it was very much recently done. The people from the Uchiha clan had looked like they had been going through a normal day around the compound. Some still had groceries near them, others protecting the children that had also been killed… Some of the others had been trying to defend themselves their faces locked in what looked like utter disbelief. Some were frozen in sheer terror as the death blow had taken them. Sasuke turned and hugged his sister.

"Toushi… Imoto something isn't right here. Can you do something for me?" he held her at arms length looking at her. Willing her to say she would. Toushi nodded and felt tears prick at the edges of her eyes.

"Nii-San… I'll try what is it?" Glancing up she seen a look in her brother's eyes that she didn't very much like, even for a 5 year old she felt and perceived something very foreboding. Sasuke tightly embracedhis sister and whispered in her ear.

"Run away… run far away, don't come back here ever… I don't want you to get hurt by whatever has happened. If Itachi survived, once we get him all patched up, and recovered… We will come find you Imoto." He let her go. Both of them had small gentle tears rolling down their cheeks. Toushi turned and ran from the Uchiha territory, Sasuke turned and watched her go. Watching her tell she was completely out of sight before turning to enter into the area of bodies.. Not realizing the true extent of the carnage. Shortly after entering a blood curdling scream could be heard echoing throughout the village. Toushi had turned abruptly intending to go back when she ran into another girl. A girl about Sasuke's age, Toushi looked up and bolted for the gates, disappearing.

Many, Many days later Toushi had found herself stumbling around a great desert. She slowly wandered into the Village of Sand, she was tired, hungry, and thirsty. It had been amazing that such a young child had survived so long without food and water. There were several boys who had seen the outsider come into the village. They were certainly up to no good and chased after her. Toushi was too tired to run, so she awaited the impending dangers that awaited her. No one seemed to care as the girl was quickly thrown to the ground and getting beaten up. The grunts of pain never turned a head to the scene that was going on. Except for a blonde girl, with an odd hairstyle in which her hair was divided into essentially, four pig tails. Two on the top and two on the bottom. Most of the boys looked up, then quickly took off. The girl walked up to Toushi who laid cut up and bruised on the ground whimpering.

"My name is Temari… are you ok little one?" She said as she helped the little black haired girl get up.

"Where is your home? I'll take you there." She said looking around in a couple directions as if to illustrate her question. She heard the little girl sob and looked down.

"I can't go home!... My brother told me not to… Because something bad happened!" Temari looked at the girl with raised eyebrows.

"ok.. ok let me think.."

That was over 7 years ago.
