Meetings

It had been a very odd night. Loki laid at his bed in a seemingly empty room, which was apparently bigger than the other ones. Lilliac had told him to not mess things up, so he didn't, his strength had left him ever since the Bifrost had spit them out into Midgard...to be forever stranded in this place. His thoughts wandered to far places, but apparently, he minded them not. The night had passed by fairly fast, maybe because he didn't sleep through it, but it was filled with almost as much life as day. Odd noises kept making him sit and force his vision to focus, but they always ended up being the house creaking and mourning over the lowering temperatures of the dark skies above. Even if he didn't really feel more than a cold breeze to his skin, he couldn't simply ignore the fact that the windows were fogged, almost covered in frost. A rumbling noise came from outside the building, making Loki snap out of his deep thoughts and, standing from the bed, looking over the window which he had to clean with naked hands. Outside, a white vehicle stopped just as the entry of the road met with the house's patio. Loki watched as a man stood out from it and stretched. He was tall, from what he could tell, just as tall as he was, with eye enhancers hanging from his nose. Although he had a lot more capacity than he did...not as much as Volstagg, but fairly close from what he could remember. He seemed to be a very...mild individual. "Oi! Lilliac, I'm home!" Loki heard him call as he walked eagerly towards the back entrance of the house. So this man lived here...? This surely complicated things a lot more for him. He groaned in exasperation and turned to look at the door, which had been open all this time. Loki heard quick footsteps and looked just in time to notice Lilliac run out of her room, which was right next to his own, and down the stairs to the main room below. She knew him...which was good, of sorts. That way he didn't have to get his hands dirty by killing him off. He could hear them below, snickering and greeting each other What were they talking, Loki didn't know, but somehow he didn't wanted to know either. For some reason he felt this day was going to start off horribly...he wasn't wrong. He let out a long sigh and walked out of his room, headed downstairs. Was better to just get this over with.

When Loki reached the bottom of the stairs, he heard Lilliac whisper something that sounded like "...well...you see..." and went silent when she noticed he was there. The man quickly looked at him with a confused expression on his features, " ...uh...Lil?". Loki raised his chin in silence, expecting Lilliac to speak for him, which she did after staring at him wide eyed, "Yeah...about that...he's...kinda staying with us...?" she responded, making a face towards the man, who gazed constantly from her to Loki. He was not a very smart man for cheer size, was he...? "And he is?" he prompted, nudging his chin in Loki's direction. This was getting nowhere, so Loki decided to take matters in his hands, "I am Loki, of Jotunheimr." he said, loud and clear for the midgardian man to get. As much as he believed this individual was huge, he was sure he needed some kind of handicap for connecting the dots. The man snorted, "Yeah and I am Hephaestus of Mt. Olympus." he replied dryly, which made Loki's patience levels lower some. "Do not mock me, pathetic mortal." he snarled, glaring at him, hopeful that his stare would burn holes in this man's head. Lilliac, who had not moved at all until now, dropped her head down, her hand over her face as she mumbled, "...this can't be happening...". Loki pay no more attention to her...this was all her fault from the start...if only she stayed at Midgard a while longer. Apparently the spell worked way faster than expected, and in a totally opposite way of which he believed it would do. Yes, he had watched over her for the past weeks he was imprisoned...all of what she did. It had helped him keep his sanity intact. Although other prisoners inside the dungeons were a pretty good distraction, apart from whatever Frigga sneaked i to his cell. Food deprivation was something that never came to him, but it wasn't something he wasn't used to...it's not like he tended to ignore eating most of his life because of some books or simply because he avoided it. It was boredom the one thing he despised the most. The four walls that allowed no activities,no...nothing. It was all...dull and alone. By using the tracking spell, Loki could see via his astral eyes to identify what and where was Lilliac doing...this interest that drew him to her was still a thorn on his side. He noticed how the man leaned down to Lilliac's ear and whispered "...how drunk is he, and in which bar did you find him...?" What...? "...he is not drunk Kyle! ...he is the real thing...the real Norse God of Mischief..." Lilliac whispered back, almost as a hiss. Okay, Loki had enough with this... "Lowered voices serve you of nothing, mortals." I am still within reach." he broke the silence with a loud, imposing voice. He was seriously not in the mood for these kinds of games. Lilliac jumped and looked down, but the man sighed and stood straight and tall. He didn't exactly looked convinced... "Who said it was a secret? So what brings the Great Trickster to our humble home?" Got the galore for my girl?" he wiggled his eyebrows in the most stupidest of ways, and Loki realized he was attempting to flip him off the charts. Oh, if only Lilliac wasn't in the way... "Your girl...?" Loki asked incredulously, his eyes flickering towards Lilliac, who rolled hers in response. "It is because of your woman I am stranded in this miserable realm." Loki snarled, feeling his patience run even lower. The man waved his hands in a gesture for Loki to calm down, "Noe don't be so mean, if you are who you claim to be, then it must have been your own damn fault."

"Meddling your tongue into situations that don't concern you can get it cut off..." Loki's patience has reached it's dangerous low limit as he warned the midgardian between clenched teeth. His hands were tight fists at his sides, but the familiar feeling of energy pulsing through them never came...which frustrated him even further. "Stop it you two!" Lilliacs voice ringed through the room, making them both look at her surprised. She seemed so small to be placed herself between them, she had one of her hands clenched on Kyle's collar to keep him in place while the other was placed on Loki's stomach, over the leather part of the chest plate. He couldn't tell if it was fear for him...or for the man itself. "Alright alright, I'll stop." the man, Kyle, finally sighed before yawning with his mouth in a huge O shape. What was wrong with this guy...? Lilliac nodded and pulled her hands away from them. She reached for Kyle's face, taking off his eye enhancers and folding them, "Uhm...okay. Go rest." she said, to which the man leaned down and kissed her forehead. Loki noticed his eyes were placed on him as he did...the man walked pass him without turning to look though. "See you in a few hours." he said, more directed towards the woman standing at the middle of the room, "McD. on the table for ya!" he called halfway up the stairs then disappeared.

At least that went slightly better than expected...or so Lilliac thought. Maybe the fact that Kyle was too tired to fully process what happened helped in it. Lilliac sighed, after holding her breath for what seemed like an eternity, and placed the glasses on the top of the nearest couch. At least he was home and safe. She could barely believe that just several days ago she was almost sure she would never see him again...that she would die away from Kyle. "Who was that?" she heard Loki ask with a very...unneeded, demanding voice. She didn't look at him...she couldn't, not now..."He's Kyle...my friend." she explained, walking into the kitchen in search of food. She was starving so bad, her belly hurt a lot from two days worth of not being able to eat. "And why is he here and not at his home." he asked, following her close. He seemed to be acting like a mother interrogating a girl who had just sneaked into the house at 3 am. after ignoring the fact that had come home at the next day. "Because I am the one who has no home." Lilliac replied with a loud sigh. trying to ignore his meddling, was was leading yo having very bad memories jump back to her. Her chest seemed to turn lighter by the second, and once again, the lower part of her back burned painfully. Why was this happening so often...? Lilliac tried calming herself down, opening the paper bag and pulling out the still warm burger wrap. Man was she hungry... "So you live with him...?" Loki pushed the topic further in, standing at the doorway of the kitchen, watching like a ghost. Lilliac half expected him yo vanish in thin air soon as she looked over at him, but he didn't. He stood there, in that asgardian black leather armor of his, green splashes every now and then. She couldn't help but wonder how heavy those golden plates should be over so much cloths...though he did ditch the boots. It bothered her how when he has no boots he could pretty much walk like a cat, making no sound as he went. That was surely not normal, then again, he is not normal. "Yes, I live with him. Why does it bother you so much?" LIlliac sighed, finally finding her patience running low on him. He had no reason to be so pushy over having Kyle around, beside, he was the one who was invited into the house, what words did he have in it. Loki rolled his head some, slowly walking into the kitchen, and sitting at the chair not far from her. Lilliac watched him move, trying not to move herself, feeling like he wanted to say something but couldn't find it in him to talk. Eventually Lilliac gave up and unwrapped the burger, taking a bite from it. To her, it felt like she had eaten the food from the Gods...how ironic. She was hungry as Hell, and having this was just a simple gift in life. Lilliac mentally thanked Kyle for doing such an act of charity. "What is...that?" Lilliac heard Loki ask in a weird voice, and looked over to him. His eyes were glued to the burger, his face was a mixture of disgust and curiosity. Lilliac felt bad...but also had the urge to chuckle. He was looking at it like it would sprout legs and start running around on it's own. "It's a hamburger. Meat in a bun, betcha don't have those on Asgard." she said, not really intending to smile. But she did, feeling kind of bad for it, Lilliac extended the burger towards Loki, who didn't move, just followed it with his eyes. Lilliac didn't know what he was thinking, or how did he feel about having her offering him food. She knew he hadn't eaten, at least in the short time they have spent together where they can see each other, not once has she seen him eat. It bothered her...more than normally.

After what seemed like long minutes, Lilliac decided waiting for him to do something was not going anywhere, she kept on eating, until she figured she would try something. She looked at the clock back over the oven, she noticed her newly found job was on by two hours. If she didn't hurry, she would never get there in time. "I need to go." she said, and consciously placed what was left of the burger down on the table. She reached for the now cold fries and walked away out of the kitchen. Maybe for once he'll do something good for himself.

Wait? She is leaving? Why now? She couldn't possibly be thinking of leaving him here to fend for himself having such an annoying individual upstairs...Loki watched her with a frown, as she quickly disappeared from sight. Why did she always had to do that? He found it annoying how she always found a reason to leave him alone...angered him so much to just be put aside like that. Many times he had lived with that as a common thing to him, but it seemed to follow him everywhere he went. But right here, it annoyed him even more...he didn't know why though. His eyes wandered around the kitchen, where he didn't move at all. The dog of the house, a mutt whom Lilliac called by the name of Abby, rested by the doorway, her eyes planted on Loki, but he very much tried his best to ignore her. He then saw that thing Lilliac had been eating while he was there. It smelled odd, Loki knew as much, but for her to eat it so joyfully, it had to have something in it. He stared at it...the hamburger, like it would sprout legs and skitter around, but eventually Loki reached over and grabbed it. He smelled it some, and raised an eyebrow. It smelled of roasted meant and some spices he did not recognize. It was...delicious. It surprised him how this kinds of things could actually be delicious, but he could only say so if...

With a little hesitation, Loki brought the hamburger piece to his mouth, and took a bite. He chewed slowly, flavors springing to life in his tongue, all of them bizarre, yet enjoyable. Loki rolled what was left of the burger in his fingers. Not bad...who would've thought. he thought to himself as he plopped what was left in his mouth and chewed. He hadn't eaten anything in a very long while, he couldn't even remember when really. Not that it ever bothered him in the first place, but it didn't mean he was not conscious of it. Long hours passed, and Loki found no strength in him to move from the kitchen table. For some reason, his bones felt like they would break if he did the slightest of movements. It was odd.

"Hmmm good nap." he heard someone say out of the view from the kitchen. The man...Kyle was his name, finally decided to wake up. Loki rolled his eyes, swallowing spit, and stood, walking out of the kitchen. The man was stretching at the foot of the stairs. He was not a very gloomy man, Loki noticed there was something about him that made him feel irritated...almost annoyed to no end. Just this air of nonchalantness that hovered over him... "Ah, you're still here, godling." Kyle said, finally noticing Loki standing there, "Raiding the fridge?" Loki held himself from moving over and breaking this stupid man's neck, he raised his chin but said nothing. Anger crawled up his stomach...or maybe he was still hungry. Kyle chuckled "Ohhh...scary. You know, you have a spooky face, dude." he said, rising an eyebrow. That was not exactly what Loki expected. Usually, when he made such gesture, it was enough to intimidate almost everyone to leave him alone. This guy just took it as a joke. Does he always do that? Finding no more strength in staying silent, Loki said "You are a very annoying individual." "Some say that's the best part of me." Kyle replied, a smirk spreading across his face as he walked his way pass Loki, into the kitchen. How can he even do that...? "Some like Lilliac?" Loki didn't know why he was feeling to chatty with this mortal man, boredom once again has a grip on him, and it was not amusing... "Yeah, she's one, though I have taken it a bit too far sometimes." he replied, shrugged, coming back out with some sort of beverage on his hand. And here he said he was the one raiding the food storage... "Always pay for it later." he finished. For some reason, what he was saying made so much more sense than Loki really wanted it to. Forcing the thought away, Loki shook his head and intended to walk away from the kitchen "I cannot comprehend how does she ever stay here with you around..." he spat out. Kyle in return, just said "Neh, no one ever said you had to understand anything, I don't quite get how this all happened in the first place." Loki sighed, looking upwards. Mortals could be very gullible, very short minded, and dealing with them could take a huge amount of patience away. Loki only wished he had his scepter...that one object would've made everything so much easier. "I wouldn't expect you to, either." he mumbled back.

"Man, you are such a swell guy..." Kyle said, sarcasm dripping from his voice, he was making no real effort in disguising it at all. "You do not want to test my limits, mortal." Loki warned, looking over his shoulder with a dead on glare. The more he pushed at him, the closer Loki was to submitting to stealth kill. But knowing it would only mean more trouble on himself, he just warned...hopefully it would be enough. "Unbelievable to some, godling, I do know how to quit..." Loki saw him shrug some out of the corner of his eye, "...just sometimes I don't know when." whether Kyle was messing with his head by twisting his answers against him, or just being sincere, Loki didn't know, and neither did he have interest to. He shook his head...all he wanted was some peace and quiet, away from this man who seemed to find interest in testing his patience. His room was the only place to find it...Loki didn't feel like sneaking away, he wouldn't be able to in the first place. Not with his powers to cast illusions ripped away from him. So all he did was walk up the stairs and ignore whatever things Kyle was saying to him in the process. Reaching the tip of the stairs, Loki felt his chest burn under the thick layers of leather and metal. Anger was something he had dealt with for millenia a top, being here, literally alone, only made the fire burn brighter and hotter. He felt something furry rub against his leg, stepped on his naked feet. Loki looked down to notice a feline rubbing against him. Small in stature, the cat's brownish fur created a small amount of static between it and his pants. It was oddly fat, more so than what Loki was almost certain was a healthy state. Ignoring the animal, Loki couldn't help but look into Lilliac's room...empty, messy. Just the he saw it for the first time. He didn't really expect for her to be there, so why...? With a sigh, Loki moved away from the fat feline's reach, and into his room. It was cozy, he would give them that, but not what he was used to, obviously. He stopped at the foot at the bed, slowly reaching to his shoulder and unbuckling the straps that kept the golden armor tightly pressed against him. It was a relief, he thought, in a metaphorical way to get away from the heavy things he had. His body was hurting in ways he could not remember it doing so before, and as he let the leather coat drop the ground, he somehow felt that part of his skin had fallen off as well. Taking off the plate and staying only in his pants and a thin layer of cloth that was the shirt underneath, he dropped himself on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. Loki could feel his body turn from a painful state to tired and weak. Strength was leaving him slowly, but for some reason, he didn't give in...not quickly. He never did, and as much as Loki wanted to close his eyes...to fall asleep and stop his brain from over working itself...sleep never came.

Finally home! Lilliac quickly closed the car, and looked at the house from the driveway. She somehow expected the house to be in ruins... or maybe on fire, but no, it was standing, just the way she left it. She silently thanked whichever gods where in heavens and walked to the door, opening it up as silently as possible, but no matter what she tried, Abby was already there, her tail wagging like crazy. It hurt Lilliac wherever it hit at her legs, so she saluted the mutt as quickly as she could. "I'm home!" she called, like she always did when she knew Kyle was home, as same as he always answers her from the living room, the TV blaring at mostly full volume, "Hey there! Am here!". Lilliac gave Abby a final pat on the head and walked to the living room, where Kyle sat at the farthest couch, the long one that could be turned into a bed. He had a bowl of ramen, halfway eaten, on his lap. "Great, that means I don't have to worry about cooking then." Lilliac said, hinting her sincere gratefulness with sarcasm. Kyle, who was onto watching some old cartoons, looked at her with a fake hurt expression "But I only wanted to spare you some time...you must be so tired." he pouted and put the bowl aside with a smile. Lilliac didn't mean for him to take it too literal, she felt bad he actually did. Even if Kyle didn't say such things unless it's something that really upset him, it doesn't mean he won't let you know with actions in the end. She took the bowl and sat beside him, trying her best to not look stupid trying to pick up the noodles with the chopsticks "Of course I am tired, and I thank you for that, but that doesn't mean you should just leave half the food uneaten." she suggested, finally managing to pick up some noodles and offering Kyle to eat. He smiled and leaned to the noodles, eating silently, "True." he mumbled with a full mouth. What a bad habit of his...Lilliac sighed and kept on feeding him like a baby. Usually he'd protest, but oddly this time he didn't, he actually seemed to enjoy it, making Lilliac chuckle with his funny faces. "So...how was your day?" she asked placing the now empty bowl aside, grateful she didn't have to fight with the noodles. Kyle shrugged "Like always, boredom is a set to be." he chuckled moving and arm over the back of the sofa, behind Lilliac casually. She always noticed how he made such moves but never really paid much attention to them. Never really bothered her. "And..." she looked around, not really wanting to say the name. Who knew he could pretty much appear out of thin air... "Ah he hasn't come out of the cave." Kyle replied and sighed, looking back at the TV. Lilliac felt her chest turn lighter at the reply, she softly leaned her head back against his arm, for long minutes, they just stared at the flashy colored cartoons. For a moment Lilliac believed that Kyle had fallen asleep, it wouldn't have been the first time Lilliac had looked over and found him silently snoring, but...

"So...are you gonna tell me?" his voice suddenly came right next to her ear, half way making Lilliac jump up from the seat. "Huh?" she was seriously out of it, purely didn't know what he was talking about. Kyle rolled his head some to look at her, full on dead-pan expression on his eyes behind his glasses. "You seriously don't expect me to go with the fact that you randomly decide to bring in a God, and simply go along with it, do you?" he said, sarcasm dripping from his words like acid. "Uhm..." Paola was taken off guard... she purely expected him to not bring this up, to accept that she had gotten into serious trouble and couldn't get out as easily as she wished for. Long moments rolled by in silence, with Lilliac staring at her hands, trying to avoid his eyes. "Well?" he pushed on, and Lilliac decided it was better to not test his patience. "He promised me protection...if I went with him. But I noticed he had fooled me one moment too late..." she sort of whispered the part part, shame knowing it's way up her chest. "Protection? Protection from what exactly?" he asked, pushing himself to sit upright, his arm no longer at her back. He seemed genuinely confused, but his voice...

"Protection for...those I love." she sighed, her embarrassment growing bigger and bigger. She fidgeted nervously, signal of her heart rate growing faster in exasperation. "1.I am not mad at you, just curious." he replied, his voice soft, almost cheerful, as Lilliac go pulled into his arms and held, tightly and warmly, "2.I do want to know all the story." he smiled. With a sigh of relief, Lilliac nodded in agreement. There was no reason in keeping all of this from him...it was not his fault. Lilliac settled comfortably on the couch and started telling him everything, from when she went through the door, to Loki's cell back in Nidavellir, and all after. She avoided looking towards him, but she knew very well how Kyle had his eyes glued to her, every now and then he nodded or did a soft noise with his throat as a sign that he was still listening. Weither he was for real or not, Lilliac didn't knew and wouldn't ask...

"And...that's pretty much all of what happened." she finished, shrugging softly. Long moments went by, and Lilliac finally looked at Kyle to see of he was still paying attention to her. Sure enough he was, he was looking at her with huge blue eyes behind his glasses, "Wow...that is quite a story." he finally said, awestruck. It actually surprised Lilliac that he was not screaming at her by now...he even seemed like he was very caught in the ordeal. Guilt gnawed it's way up her stomach...she hated the fact that she was easily fooled, and that instead of protecting, she actually put him in danger. She cursed herself in silence, holding her hands together so tightly, her knuckles turned bright white. She halfway thought the skin would split open into two. "Hey now..." she heard Kyle call out, and felt him move beside her some. Looking over, she noticed he was smiling, like he always foes whenever she was crying and couldn't fall asleep at night. "You've got no business being guilty about what happened." he chuckled some "I'm glad you are okay...even if you brought some package along with you." Even if his words were soft and nice, that one comment at the end simply felt wrong... "He is no package..." Lilliac grumbled some, correcting Kyle with a stern voice. She turned her eyes away from him, holding herself from staring to cry. "Just a joke. Though he is a free loader." he kept on adding ti his cause, but Lilliac didn't answer. She shouldn't...not if she didn't wanted to end up fighting. She knew he was right, but it didn't give Kyle any right to talk about Loki like that...he didn't know anything to do so. "Hey now...you seem to need some more convincing..." Kyle said again, with a touch of joking in his voice. Lilliac knew what he was trying to do, usually he found his way around serious topics by dropping in a laugh. Usually it worked...it always worked actually. Kyle poked her cheek with a finger, forcing her to look at him. His eyes were huge and bright, Lilliac blinked. He chuckled and pulled her into a tickle fight... one that only he could win. It didn't take long for her to fully succumb to laughter, it never did, and for several minutes she had forgotten all guilt and problems that had consumed her before. Kyle had that ability...and maybe that was what she felt most attracted to, that he could pretty much make her forget everything. Finding the will to follow in his game, Lilliac pounced on Kyle playfully, pinning him down as much as she manage to make him stop tickling her, but they only kept on playing loudly.

Okay at least he could hear something. Downstairs, Loki recognized the distinct sound of voices, two of them. It had been a very long while since he decided to stay in the room, staring at the walls and reading the occasional midgardian books he could get his hands on. There were many things he could entertain himself with, despite the emptiness of the place, and he couldn't afford to face that man...Kyle was his name, alone. Not if he wanted to keep his sanity intact. Loki walked out of the room, not bothering to put his armored coat on, and walked to the stairs, feeling the patted, fluffy ground of the house in his naked feet, stopping at the top. The noises were fairly loud...they sounded like laughter. What are those mortals up to...? he asked himself. Walking down the stairs. Loki tried his best to make out what was all the ruckus about...until he reached the end of the stairs. On the couch, which he believes was the resting room, Lilliac had Kyle pinned down with her own body, playfully poking each other It is no wonder all of what he had heard was laughter...he should've known. All day alone, locked in the room he is forced to stay for his own sanity and here she was, like nothing...like everything is just perfect. Little did Loki know, his hands had curled inwards, into tight, deadly fists. He saw Lilliac's eyes rest on him suddenly, and just as quick, she had jumped up and off Kyle. He had actually never seen her move so fast, not since they were back in his isolation cell. "Uhm..." she said some, holding her hands together, yet Kyle didn't seem to have noticed why had she abruptly pulled away from him. "Wha...?" he groaned and turned his head in an odd way, his glasses were halfway off, to finally see where Loki was. A surge of pure, hot anger crawled up Loki's stomach, making his throat dry and hurt some. "Oh! Finally decided to come out of your cave, godling?" Kyle said in a sort of self-centered voice, a grin splitting his face as he struggled to sit back up. Loki once again was reminded why he had developed a hatred towards this man... He turned, walking towards the kitchen. In truth it was the only place right now where he could go without having them on peripheral vision. Anywhere where they could not see him was better than having them stare at him dumbfounded, and not saying a word. He didn't pay attention to anything they said to each other from then, it was better off not doing so, he didn't wanted to loose his patience no more. He knew they were talking, he could hear them murmuring back on the other room, but Loki did his best to keep distracted.

They went silent for a while, then steps went upstairs, he knew so. Slowly, Lilliac walked to the doorway of the kitchen. It was a while of her standing there silent as he poked with the devices in the kitchen, and when she noticed he was not talking, she did. "Uhm...how was your day?" Loki looked towards her, suddenly feeling tired, or maybe that is what Lilliac saw, "I spent it alone." there was bitterness in his response, Lilliac noticed he made no effort in disguising it. She felt like someone had punched her in the middle of her chest, but she couldn't find her voice to reply anything. She watched him as he slowly did a deliberate circle around the kitchen, making no real noise He looked towards her, something in his face made Lilliac very uneasy. "What were you doing...with him?" he asked. This took Lilliac off guard..why did it bother him so much what she was doing whenever Kyle is around?

"Talking, Loki. Something you are not very fond of when it should be done for your own good." Lilliac grumbled out, mortified. This thing about him interrogating her whenever he or she is not around one another is starting to get on her nerves. "I am fully capable of talking whenever I need to." Loki corrected her, the air around him turning heavy with anger. Why? He had no right to be angry at her, sure she had pretty much condemned him to live on Earth for who knows how long, but it didn't give him the right to act like an ass! "Yeah, whenever it is for causing trouble." she spat out, feeling herself lose her grin on her temper. Loki raised and eyebrow and sighed out "You have only seen me when such things come about." waving off her comment as he walked out of the kitchen. Is he for real?! "Like that've gotten you anywhere..." she mumbled, not really sure if he heard her or not. If he did, he showed no signs of it, as he walked toward the living room, in a hurried pace. Lilliac leaned on the kitchen frame, not really wanting to follow him around, "What is wrong with you?" she urged, trying one last time to keep calm, to deal with things rationally. Loki looked over his shoulder, now Lilliac noticed that he had ditched his overall armored clothing. He raised an eyebrow... "why do you think something is wrong?" he asked, sounding like he was pretty much exaggerating that confused, innocent tone. That was it, Lilliac couldn't hold herself no more, "Because you are more of an ass than you already were." she spat out, reaching over at her temples and rubbing them furiously. Loki snarled in a low tone and turned his back to her fully, blocking himself away from her view. So that's it? That us how he feels with all this? Just ignore her because he is angry she spending time with Kyle? he complained about humans and their selfish ways...but how much different could he be?

"Fine!" Lilliac spat out and stomped her way out of the kitchen, heading towards the stairs. She didn't turn, she didn't stop. All she wanted was to hit him so bad...to cause him physical pain, because only that would calm her down...but would it calm him down? He had pain...more than what a few punches to the nose could bring, but it was not on the outside...it was in his heart. So many things have happened to him that it was a miracle he could withstand so much and keep his head high. So Lilliac stopped...stopped herself from doing him any harm. Not because she wouldn't be able to do anything, but because he didn't needed any of it. So she scurried up the stairs and stumbled into her room. He could've sworn she saw Kyle come out of the bathroom fully showered, but she couldn't give herself any chance of stopping and breaking down right there and then. Slamming and locking the door behind her, Lilliac groaned and let herself fall face first into the bed. She wasn't sure if she was seeing things, or it was because of the tears slowly flowing up her eyes, but everything hurts...even the spot on her lower back. Lilliac whimpered, remembering that if Kyle was showering at this hours, it meant that he had work. Odd, but she felt like she was going to sink through the bed, and through the ground, and keep on going. She would have to deal with this alone, she just noticed. It has been since the moment she decided to stick her nose in things she hoped that Kyle would loosen the burden...like the little selfish girl she was. How stupid...

Kyle blinked, noticing Lilliac stumble up the stairs and into her room like she was on fire. The hell was wrong with her? He walked towards her door, reached for the doorknob...locked. Odd, she never locked the door before, unless it meant she was upset and letting the anger flow away in tears. "Oi Lilliac...everything okay?" he tried, knowing full well what the answer would be. "Yes!" she screamed back, Kyle heard a thump and then silence. He sighed, knowing she was tossing things around. He just hoped she would not break anything expensive. "Now come on, you know better than to think I'd fall for that. Open up." he rattled the doorknob again in hopes that somehow she would get up from the bed and open it. But she didn't. Instead... "I want to sleep Kyle, and you need to work. Fuck off!"she spat out. Okay, she was seriously pissed, Kyle now noticed, and that it would be a whole day's worth of time for her to calm down...she may even fall asleep on the floor. He sighed "Okay, but just for that I am cooking tonight as punishment. Got it?" it was an unconscious act, really, how he tried everything to cheer up a gloomy mood. He had smiled when he said that, in hopes of at least hear her giggle on the other side of the door...but not even that came. Just dead silence responded to him. He knew well why...and it set a flame of anger in his chest that almost hurt. It had been a while since he's felt such thing, and having it come up now just made it much worst. Walking into his room and dressing for work in silence, Kyle remembered the first few years Lilliac had come yo live with him because she had decided to leave his family in search of freedom and happiness...how each time her mother called she would do exactly the same: run to her room, lock it and cry her eyes out all night long. He had reached a point where she was happy...where she would not cry, but instead rant along her problems with him and he would comfort her and calm her down. He went out of his room, feeling his anger boil as he thought...everything is going back to how it was. Everything for Lilliac was slowly going back to being unhappy. All because of him.

"What did you do godling?" Kyle asked, his voice sounded more like a demand than a question as he reached the bottom of the stairs and walked to the kitchen, finding Loki jugging down a bottle of water. How considerate of him to ask beforehand... Kyle thought to himself sarcastically. "Call me by that one more time and you'll lose your tongue." he threatened, putting the empty bottle of the counter and turning his ever glaring face towards Kyle. "I'll talk to you anyway I want when you hurt my friend." he responded, glaring back just as hard. The way this man acted towards others was something that always made Kyle burn, in the short time they have spent together in the same room at least. Loki let out an exasperated sigh, "I did not hurt anyone, mortal. Whatever her problem is, it doesn't involve me." he growled. "As off the moment she met you, you have been the root of her problems..." Kyle replied dryly, stating the obvious. Of course, he knew Loki wouldn't pay any attention to any of it, it was not in his nature to actually care. Kyle saw as Loki let his face split into a smirk, a toke of taunt that somehow to him seemed stupid... "Only because she is as desperate as to believe the words coming from someone like me." Kyle had to admit that comment hit a nerve. True Lilliac made a mistake, a very stupid one that he could not even start to comprehend, but it gave no right for Loki to talk to her like that. Kyle sighed, letting himself calm down. He wanted to play dirty and hit a nerve, he would follow his lead. He shook his head, "Poor poor godling..." he said "...so how goes gaining daddy's approval?" he finally fired back, returning the smirk. He could tell he had done some harm somewhere, Loki's smile faded away from his pale face, his chin slowly rising as if urging Kyle to change his opinion before it's too late. "Whoever said I was looking for such a thing?" Kyle knew he was thinking of something, but he couldn't risk starting a fight...much less with this man, who was probably trained worst than Navy soldiers. He would make grounded meat out of him. But his work was done...he got into Loki's brain. That at least made him feel proud of himself. He walked to the door, taking the keys to the car. All the while, he could feel Loki's eyes burning holes at the back of his neck. If he stays close, he will break his neck for sure. At the door, Kyle turned and finally says "Stories can be the greatest of things, daddy's boy." and left.

Loki glared as if magically he would make Kyle's head explode, but it didn't. He waited a minute after he left out the door, and mumbled full of hatred...

"How I hate that mortal idiot."
