I AM SO SORRY! (This A/N was written in Dec)

not that you'd believe me though. Don't blame you though as seeing I swanned off the wonderful ruler of my head called procrastination and his lovely advisor, writers block. I had multiple ways on how this could have gone down. Honestly, I LITERALLY spent days trying to figure out where I was going to go with this. (I didn't get anywhere if your asking) So I'm writing as I go and that I'm sure will not end well…so… GERONIMO!

Also Valerie POV never happening again because I now think ch2 is utter crap I'll go back and redo later or delete. (like after whole bunch of other chapters are put up)

(again I'm sorry and not british)

(JUNE 19,2014) I REALIZED I GAVE AN OLD VERSION TO YOU. THIS IS THE ACTUAL FINAL CUT.

Flashback:

There right in front of the pub is him, the man who started this whole problem. It was the Doctor and he looked absolutely ecstatic.

But who could blame him for being so excited he was about to jump out of a cake, and everyone loves cakes and jumping! He looked over to his right, someone or something was watching. Call it gut feeling or instinct (he learned over the years that you should always trust your gut) but someone was out there he'd figure it out sooner or later he always did, it would always call for his attention. He turned back to Lucy and grinned, "Well let's get started!"

Inside the cake was small, cramped, and uncomfortable (honestly how did Lucy breathe in here?) and the outside it looked huge and spacious, it was the exact opposite of the TARDIS and the Doctor decided after this try of jumping out of a cake he should just try walking in, it would be better, not as interesting but much less cramped. Hearing repeated shouts of "Out!", the Doctor happily obliged and popped his head out of the cake.

It had become absolutely silent when the Doctor's head popped out. He stood up to full height, looked about the room hoping that he had jumped out of the right cake. After turning around he noticed Rory

"Rory! That's a relief. I thought I'd burst out of the wrong cake, ...again. That reminds me, there's a girl standing outside in a bikini. Could someone let her in and give her a jumper? Lucy? Lovely girl. Diabetic. Now then, Rory. We need to talk about your fiancée. She tried to kiss me. Tell you what, though. You're a lucky man becuase I'm sure she's a great kisser."

He looks around uncomfortably seeing all the faces around looking at him; specifically, in disapproval.

"Funny how you can say something in your head and it sounds fine." He mumbled.

He looked around a second time he was missing something, something obviously there. He ran through the facts again; This was Rory's stag party celebrating the fact noticed that Valerie backing away slowly and near the bar trying to stay out of sight.

"Valerie!" he cried pointing to her and step out, nearly tripping over the cake as he got out of the cramped space. "Just the other person I need, your coming along with us we need to talk to Amy."

Rory and the rest of the stag turned towards Valerie.

"Well come along then we've got places to be!"

(A/N:Honestly wasn't sure to put this in but decided too. please let me know if its good or not if it's not good I'll come back and delete it. Honest opinion please PM or Review)

After Valerie very nearly face planting into the ground at the sudden stop she stared unbelieving that he was still there. Her anger began to boil again at the man. If he actually was the Doctor he wouldn't have done this right? Wait..what? She back pedaled and went over the thought again, she didn't know this man. Yeah he had the same name as the pinstripe men and the buzz cut with leather but it couldn't be him! They were just dreams something made up!

Valerie shook her head trying to refocus at what her goal was. Suddenly, the man in question began to turn his head and in a blind panic of not wanting to be seen by the man,she dashed to the alleyway that lead to the back of the pub praying that she wasn't seen.

She held her breath waiting, pressing herself into the wall hoping that she wouldn't be seen the closer she got to the wall. She didn't hear any footsteps just the Doctor talking to the stripper outside. She breathed a sigh a relief, pushed off the wall, and brushed herself off from the brick wall which over the years became crumbly to the began to walk away from where she came and walked to the back of the alley where there was and entrance to the back of the pub. Valerie would usually have keys but seeing that her coming wasn't planned all the way through she would have to bang on the door to get the bartender (Ralph was his name) to open the door.

Valerie looked at the door in disgust as she was going to touch the door that usually got puked on twice on every Saturday night and poor Ralph had to clean with a bucket, rubber gloves, and brush. The door it's self was a metal door with black paint peeling, a faded warning sign cuationing you that the door opened outward, and the door also had the awful faint scent of soap and bile.(not very pleasant if your asking)

Reaching as high as she could so she wouldn't touch the puke stains, she began to mercilessly bang on the door and after a while, heard an irritated shout come through. "Steve I told you to go and call your wife! You'er dunk as hell", Valerie stepped out of the way as the door banged open as a short, muscular man with brown hair and irritated look on his face walked out into the doorway and held the door opened with and arm, "and you're not gettin' anymore drinks till you pay the bill!" He hollered. He inhaled as if he were going to say more but then seemed to realize he would be shouting at his co-bartender rather than a drunk man named Steve. "Valerie?"

She grinned, "Hi Ralph"

Ralph looked at her confused, "What are you doing here? It's your night off and Rory's stag."

Valerie looked behind him hearing the chatter of the bar and a bunch on men in red shirts. Valerie ignored the question,"Can I come in?"

Ralph's brow furrowed and stepped out of the doorway to let her in and repeated his question,"What are you doing here?"

Valerie just for a second, a second was tempted to let the truth come out about the issues inside her home.

"Just...making sure that we have enough wine for tomorrow." Valerie smiled tightly hating the fact that she was lying to her boss. His frown deepened, "We've already checked it a thousand times with Amy we have enough."

"Yeah well the bride-to-be couldn't fall asleep becuase of a few things so I told her I'd pop out and check on them since she can't. Besides I need to talk to Rory."

Valerie began to walk towards the main area for the pub but she stopped when he asked a question, "what about?"

She turned around and looked at Ralph,"Not now ok? Later, I'll tell you later."

He stared at her for a few seconds and then relented,"Alright, I'll hold off on the questioning till after the wedding." Valerie sighed in relief, "Thanks Ralph. Do you know where Rory is?"

"With everybody else and drunk calling Amy for the 7th time." Valerie noded her head in acknowledgement and walked towards the main room.

It was around that time the cake got rolled in and all the men shouting "out." and the Doctor popped out of the cake. As if out habit, Valerie tried to back out of the room silently and hope for best until she got busted by the Doctor and got stared at. She now wished she could run back to the hotel room and stay there because the look Rory was giving her now showed that he was not amused.

The walk to wherever the Doctor was taking them seemed to teem with awkwardness due to the fact that the Doctor was babbling about time travel and was saying he only had started traveling with Amy tonight but had been gone for a week or so. Which confused Valerie greatly because obviously time and space travel did not exist, it was a child's story, a dream that didn't exist. Valerie and Rory followed the Doctor quietly, staring at the ground, and not saying a word for a while till Rory finally looked to at Valerie; he was hurt, lost, and felt betrayed.

The Doctor kept babbling till Rory cut him off and silenced him with a question for Valerie,"You knew about this?" He asked. Valerie felt guilt invaded her thoughts as she heard his tone. She thought about it for a moment before replying slowly, "Yes but no"

Rory gave her a flustered look, "What's that supposed to mean? Yes, I knew your fiancee left with another man and tried to kiss him but no I actually didn't." He looked at her expectantly, waiting for the answer.

Choosing her words care fully she began to explain her night, "We got home late after double checking practically everyth-"

"You were double checking?" He sounded slightly surprised. Valerie sighed feeling a wave of exhaustion come at her, "Yes Rory we went double checking, it's one of the few ways Amy says 'I love Rory Williams even though I don't say it' that you haven't seen. Now, will you let me explain or don't want to hear my side of the story?" Rory was silent.

"After double checking everything for the wedding.(He smirked a little) we came home extremely late both of us completely tired. That woman dragged me everywhere let me tell you. We said our good nights and off to bed we went. I didn't know about...him" She waved her hand to the Doctor her voice becoming softer, sadder, filled with guilt. "till about an hour ago. I swear as soon as I saw them there on the bed I was pretty godamned pissed. I threatened them with a book."

She and Rory chuckled a bit at that."I'm sorry Rory I intervened and told her she had to tell you at midnight or was going to tell you myself. " Valerie hung her head and stared at the ground moving under her for a bit until she felt a bump to her shoulder; she looked up to see Rory.

"You shouldn't feel the need to apologize. Thanks for intervening", he smiled a bit,"Imagine how much worse it could have been. They could have kissed." Valerie thought about it for a moment and then wrinkled her nose in disgust but still had smile coming to her lips, "Ew. I guess it could have been worse."

"Oi! I wouldn't be that bad of a kisser. I've gotten compliments on my kissing abilities." Valeire's head snapped to attention of the person in front of her, the Doctor (she almost forgot he was there).

"Oh yeah? she challenged. "Well to tell you the truth I don't really care about your 'kissing' abilities. I want to know what the hell you were doing in my mate's room."They stopped walking and with all of her attention to the Doctor she didn't notice the surroundings.

The Doctor whirled around to her and Rory, "First off, I repeat from the pub I did not try to kiss her she tried to kiss me mostly likely because of an adrenaline rush. Now, the reason we were in her room was because she showed me it was her wedding dress and no, I had no clue that it was the night before your", pointing to Rory, "wedding day till tonight."

Rory looked as though he was about sat something but cut off by Valerie scoffing, You really expect us to believe that you travel through time in space in what a police box? That you really were gone for a week? The fact you think were all gonna be la-dee-da and just fine with you here is ludicrous! I'm not really sure what she see you but I see more in this man here" putting her hand on Rory's shoulder, "than I can with you."

The words were coming out faster now, she had no brakes ," Want know about what I see? I see a man who cheats, lies, and has a god complex! A man who always gets what he wants no matter the cost. You may have pulled the wool over her eyes but not mine!"

He was silent for a moment watching her carefully, calculating her as if trying to figure out what made her tick,"I never said it was a police box."

Valerie, was beyond pissed, all those horrible words and all he took out was a Police Box?! What was so bloody important about a police box?

...

Oh.

He was real?

She opened and closed her mouth, unsure of what to say as she tried to look everywhere but in front of herself. As mad as she was she couldn't really deny how important the box was, after all she'd seen it in way to many dreams to call it a coincidence.

The Doctor continued to watch her carefully and spoke, "You must have met one of my past regenerations to know that it's a police box but, I'm not sure which one you met because," he stopped for a moment reaching into his pocket and pulled out a small gold disc object attached to a chain. He held the disc out on his palm in front of her "I've never met you"he finished.

She looked down taking a closer look at the object in the Doctor's hand. It's a pocket watch, well more specifically her pocket watch, with circular designs on it.

Valerie looked at it for a moment and stated flatly, "that's mine"

The Doctor shifted uncomfortably, "Yes"

She thinks for a moment, "You have my pocket watch." She looked up at him accusingly, "That was in my room. You went into my room and looked through my things?"

"It wasn't me it was-"

"Don't go pointing finger's because there's three fingers pointing right back at ya bowtie." Valerie snatched pocket watch out of the hand of the Doctor. A wave of gold flooded her vision eliciting a gasp from her. Rory burst into action, twisting Valerie to face him saying , "Val you all right?"

Not hearing a response and her trembling in his grip he grabbed the mini flashlight off his keychain and flashed them in her eyes. he sighed in relief as it was just a minor shock to the body. looked at the Doctor, "What on earth is in that pocket watch?"

"Memories and her entire personality" The Doctor replied.

(June 19,2014) Ok Lemme explain myself here: I had planned to put more stuff in but realizing it would take longer so I posted this in hope it would kick my but in high gear and see if there was a response. I have more stuff written down and didn't want to make a super long chapter. So yeah sorry for the sudden hiatus.

I have a laptop now :) (I was writing from an IPad not fun) so travel and writing at the same time!

PM or Review if you want too (or if you see grammatical errors). I kinda see why other writers like feedback makes them want to do more. ^.^

Alright so hope you enjoyed the short chapter and maybe I'll post more in the future (near future)

The one and only,
