I went home and started to make plans that were necessary to get the link between my father and his siblings to vanish. The first part was to get Klaus to catch the attention of the doppelganger's group, but mainly the Bennett witch.

Just as I was about to go out to look for Klaus, I heard him walking through the front door.

I sped through the mansion and stopped in front of him. He was helping himself to a drink.

He looked at me in surprise when I stopped in front of him but he quickly recovered. He had a slight smirk on his face, "Hello Lilly, would you fancy a drink?"

I smile a little before I shook my head and got down to business, "Klaus I need a favor to ask of you."

His smirk quickly vanished from sight.

"What can I do for you?" He questioned; he was taking me seriously since I almost never ask for help, if it could be helped, much less from him.

"I need you to get the attention of one Bennett witch. Do whatever means necessary for her to go to you and do whatever you want in exchange for you to stop," I explained.

"And what would this something you need from her to be once asked for me to stop?"

"She will know what it would need to be in exchange for you to stop but in this case I need you to act like you knew all along what it was and not let on to anyone but our family or her, okay?" I stared him down to make sure he understood what I was asking of him.

He stared back at me for a while before he slowly nodded his consent, "Alright."

"Grandmother," I paused, maybe I should stop calling her grandmother after what she's trying to do to my family. I quickly corrected my statement, "Esther put a link on you and your siblings so that whatever happens to one happens to all of you."

Saying that out loud made me become uneasy at the possibility of losing my family.

He looked at me in shock before he started to talk, trying to mask his shock while doing so, but I could still see a hint of it peeking through, "Are you sure? How did you find out?" He rambled a bit through his questioning.

"Yes I'm sure, I knew as soon as the link became secure, I sensed it," I sighed when I thought back to the morning after the ball about two weeks ago. I was talking to Father when I sensed something strange coming from him. I couldn't describe what it was until later when I left to figure out what it was that had changed.

Flashback:

I had just gotten out of bed when I heard a soft rapping from my bedroom door.

"Father?" I was confused as to why Father was knocking on my door so early in the day when I hadn't even gotten dressed yet.

"May I come in?" Father beseeched.

I looked at him questioningly but I opened the door wider so that he could come in.

He passed through the door and sat on one of the high-back chairs by the window. He waited until I sat across from him before he started.

"I know I did not really get to tell you after all that was going on yesterday but I wanted to personally see up close that you have been okay after having to be left on your own," He looked at me intently.

I squirm slightly in my seat while under his watchful gaze before I speak, "I'm fine, Klaus never found me after what he did to you." I winced when I thought of the hell that Uncle Eli and Father had gone through to get me to safety and not get caught by Klaus. And all that trouble led to Father getting daggered for not saying where I was.

"So Klaus didn't harm or manipulate you?" He beseeched hopefully, sitting up in his seat.

"No, I was able to get away on my own before he found me," I shuddered slightly with thoughts of what could have happened if I hadn't gotten away.

Father sighed in relief before he slouched back into his seat.

There was a slight lapse in conversation when I started to feel something off coming from Father but I couldn't put my finger on what it was.

"As to what you said last time, when you said you missed me…" Father paused before continuing, pulling me out of my thoughts.

I blushed from my seat yet I said nothing. I waited for Father to finish first.

"Even though I have been in a box for 106 years and didn't really know how much time had passed, I still thought of you and what I wanted to say was that I missed you too sweetheart," He stood up and opened his arms for me.

Tears started to stream down my cheeks and I got up to hug Father. I stayed in his embrace for as long as possible.

Father cleared his throat before he stepped back and shoved his hands into his pockets, "I'll leave you to get ready for the day. I'm going to see where your Aunt Bekah is." He declared before walking out the door, shutting it behind him as he left.

I sighed and it was when I started rummaging through my clothes to find something to wear did I figure out what that off feeling I felt coming from Father was.

What have you done Grandmother? I thought in horror as the shirt I had in my hands fell to the floor.

End of flashback

"If you knew about it when it was secured, why didn't you try to reverse it sooner?" Klaus asked in confusion, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Because Esther would have known that her spell had been broken and would have made sure to make the link again but stronger than ever and almost impossible to break. If that happened, my effort would have been for nothing."

And now that I can, I will not let it go to waste, I thought bitterly while wishing that I could have done something sooner.

Klaus nodded while taking all the information in, "So when you say to do whatever means necessary to get the Bennett witch to do what we want, you mean…" He asked with sheer excitement in his eyes.

"I mean whatever it takes to get the job done just short of killing. No need for deaths, for now anyway," I clarified sternly.

His eyes dimmed slightly but you could still see that he was still excited at the prospect of having almost free rein to get what we needed and not get reprimand for it.

"I'll get right on it," he smirked and headed towards the door.

"Have it done before 10:07 tonight though," I called out before he could walk out of the room.

He paused before he nodded and sped out the house.

I sighed after Klaus left and decided to leave as well. I needed to keep tabs on someone in the doppelganger's gang but first, I had to find one of them.

So much to do in so little time.

End of flashback

Klaus's POV:

I ran out of the Bennett house after my little 'talk' with her. I was now looking for a sign of Rebekah so I could get some of her blood for the spell and then I needed to get Finn, finally having something to get him home and corporate with us, Sage.

Maybe I should get Rebekah to fetch Damon so that we could persuade the Bennett witch if threatening her Gilbert boy didn't work…or maybe I could get something from the doppelganger and her group of 'friends' for later as back-up leverage.

Mmmmm, oh the possibilities.

This should be interesting, I thought before I sped off to find Rebekah and get on with the plan.

Sorry it took so long to post, I'm still busy with school most of the time. I'll try to have the next chapter done in one or 2 week, no promises though. :)
