I am so sorry for not updating in two months! I really don't have any excuses but I promise you guys that I am not giving up on this story! I just want you guys to know that I stayed school again and I'm started a new story that I'm going to be posting up soon of is a supernatural/twilight crossover. And again I apologize and to make it up to you guys I made this chapter extra long :)
I have been lying in bed for the past two hours trying to catch some sleep after Sage and I had put Uncle Finn's deceased body in his room.
Millions of thoughts ran through my head as I tossed and turned in my bed. There was getting no reprieve from the horrid day that was today.
Shouldn't I have been able to stop them from killing Uncle Finn? I sighed as I looked out my balcony window from my bed. My thoughts ran rampant as I stared at the starry sky.
I came to Mystic Falls to be with my Father and the family but instead of helping them get rid of the problem in town, one of my uncles is now dead! I should have been able to stop them...
I come up with different scenarios on what I could have done differently to save Uncle Finn but with each passing one I got angrier until all I wanted to do was scream at the top of my lungs.
I could have done so many things differently. I could have saved us all but I was dumb enough to go outside when I knew something was going to happen any minute!
But I should have had five more minutes before anyof that happened... what could have changed that made them go with the plan earlier than it should have happened?
The future can't be changed unless another person is a clairvoyant as well and they told them to go ahead with the plan sooner so that it could work how they wanted it to...
I breathed out heavily as I turned onto my back again and attempted to sleep once again.
As I started to fall into the land of dreams, I heard a crash and a yell that woke me up instantly.
I growled softly before I headed downstairs to investigate what was causing all the noise. I am never going to get any real fuckin' sleep tonight aren't I? I asked myself.
I followed the noise to the living room where I saw Aunt Bekah yelling profanities and throwing anything within her reach across the room where it all broke and fell to ground. Tears were running down her face.
I stared in shock for a moment before I saw Uncle Eli and Klaus at the bar in the corner of the room. Judging by the smell, they were drinking a strong whiskey with sadness in their eyes as they watched their sister.
I walked towards them and went behind the bar to get myself a drink as well. I then went around and took a seat next to Klaus.
"What happened? Why is Aunt Bekah acting like this?" I asked Klaus after I set the bourbon on the counter for the time being.
Klaus sighed deeply before turning slightly to me but he kept Aunt Bekah in his line of sight, "Your Aunt Rebekah just got the news that Finn is dead by none other than Elena Gilbert."
"You mean to tell me that no one told her until now that her brother is dead!? After what?" I paused to look at the time, "almost four hours!?"
"We would have told her sooner but she was otherwise occupied and she had disappeared! She hadn't returned until a half hour ago!" Klaus defended.
I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down before I grabbed my glass of whiskey and downed it. "Has anyone even told my Father of the news?"
Uncle Elijah finally spoke up at this, keeping his eyes solely on Aunt Rebekah as she continued to break and destroy everything in the room. "I rung up his phone when I saw you leave our deceased brother in his room with his mate."
"And?" I pressed, "What did Father say? Is he coming home now?" I hoped for a yes.
"He didn't say a thing at first then he asked what had happened and if you were alright. After I informed him of the happenings of today he told me to tell you he will be back soon, in a week and a half he said. He then disconnected the call to what I would assume to take his anger out and feed." Uncle Eli answered before taking a sip of his drink.
Silence fell upon us.
We watched my aunt, their sister, take her emotions out on the furniture for an hour before she just collapsed in a heap. Her tears never stopped.
We stared at her for a moment before each of us got up and slowly sat around her in mourning.
Aunt Rebekah stared at the floor when she finally spoke, "It was that wench of a doppelganger Elena Gilbert and her friends that killed Finn, correct?"
Uncle Eli, Klaus, and I looked at each other hesitantly, concern for her in our eyes, but in the end it was Klaus that answered her question.
"It was Elena and her friends," Klaus confirmed.
Looking at Aunt Rebekah I saw her eyes harden as the minutes passed us by. When she looked like she was going to say something, we heard the door to Uncle Finn's room open and close, making us stop our conversation.
We all turned our heads to the door of the living room and watch as Sage ran pass, ignoring us completely. She headed straight for the exit.
I got to my feet quickly and ran after her at a distance. Soon enough my family was beside me and we started to slowly gain up on Sage.
We saw a vampire join her at some point that she called Troy.
Once I figured out where Sage was going, I gestured for everyone to slow down. We stopped at the tree line as we watched Sage and Troy barge into the Salvatore boarding house. They knocked down the door in the process.
All we heard was someone getting hit before we heard Sage speak up, "I'm not here for you. I'm here for her."
Aunt Bekah and I started to inch closer to the broken doorway but we stayed covered by the trees that surrounded the house while Uncle Eli and Klaus stayed behind to make sure that no one came up and surprised us with an attack.
What we saw when we finally looked through the broken doorway had shocked us because Sage was being easily defeated by a vampire that was not even a 200 years old when she was the oldest vampire walking around after the Originals.
Stefan was blocking all her attacks and at one point, he finally pushed Sage and she fell to the floor. There was blood dripping out of her nose. She called out for Troy's help, going as far as to reach out for him but right in front of our eyes she desiccated and died. Troy followed the same fate seconds later.
Aunt Bekah and I rushed back to Uncle Eli and Klaus without being seen or heard. Once we get to them, we both proceed to tell them what happened inside of the boarding house.
Not even a minute after we finished telling them what happened, we heard an exclamation inside and we all honed in our hearing to where Stefan and Caroline were talking.
"Wait… so when an Original dies, every vampire turned from their bloodline dies along with them?" Caroline slowly stated as she put the pieces together for everyone to hear, "That would mea-"
We stopped listening at that point and with a quick glance at each other we ran as fast as we could back to the Mikaelson home so that we can speak freely.
As soon as we got through the door, Uncle Eli and Klaus turned to me and started to bombard me with questions.
"Did you know this was going to happen?"
"Is this the matter you were trying to talk to me about this morning?"
"How long have you known about this?"
"What are those two going on about?"
And the questions continued on.
I opened my mouth to answer but before I could even get a word in they interrupted me with another question. Each and every time.
After five minutes, I finally had enough of them doing that and I whistled as loudly as possible to gain their attention.
The three of them winced at the pitch of the whistle but they finally stopped. They just stared at me, waiting for any answers that I could give them.
I looked at Aunt Rebekah, who was confused yet standing there quietly. All her questions had been about some form of clarification while her brothers had more specific questions they wanted me to answer.
I took a deep breath and decided to answer Aunt Bekah's question first before I answered my uncles, "You see Aun-" I stopped myself from calling her Aunt Bekah once I saw the distrustful look on her face, "Never mind but um since I was six, I started to be able to see the future… I'm a clairvoyant."
She stared at me in shock at the announcement but the slight distrust was still present in her look.
I sighed in my head, I guess she still doesn't trust or believe that I am a part if her family.
I turned to my uncles and answered their questions finally, "I have known about this for three days and I came up with plans to stop it, as you can see we are all alive and it worked for the most part but Uncle Finn wasn't supposed to die, that was the part of the plan that went awry."
I looked around me in wariness when I saw the shock and confusion planted plainly on their faces.
"I will explain my ideas as to why this happened later, but all I will say is that I think there is another clairvoyant in this town." I continued in hopes of placating them.
They slowly nodded at me and gestured for me to continue and so I did, "To answer your question Uncle Eli, yes that was part of what I was talking about this morning but I was trying to avoid, not tell you, about this. I didn't need for you to worry and to do something drastic that we could not have fixed but made what happened today much worse."
"I wouldn't have d-" Uncle Eli started to defend himself before I interrupted him.
"Yes you would have and you know it," I smirked at the glare he gave me for interrupting him.
That's whathappens for interrupting me earlier.
"So is there a way for us to bring our brother back?" Klaus asked.
"There might be a way but I need to speak to a friend first," I said in hopes that would reassure them for now.
At this point, we were heading to the parlor so that we could have somewhere to seat comfortably. The living room wasn't an option at the moment because of all the broke furniture there…the bar was the only thing left standing in there.
For a while we all sat in silence, giving each other some time to collect our thoughts. That changed when the sounds of someone running up the driveway reached our ears.
We all quickly rushed to the door and opened it before the person could get there.
"How can I help you Mr. Salvatore?" Klaus was the first one to answer. He immediately recognized the person that interrupted our silence with their running.
"I came to exchange the White Oak stakes for my brother," Stefan said before he dropped a big bag of what I could guess was the White Oak stakes.
I stared at Stefan in confusion, brother? We don'thave his brother.
I crouched down to make sure that it was indeed the White Oak stakes before I counted them out.
"Eight? Are these all the White Oak stakes?" I inquired.
He nodded his head, "Yes that's all of them."
"You realize that if we find out that you are lying then your brother is going to meet a misfortunate ending, not that he isn't wishing for it right now," Klaus warned him and gestured for Stefan to follow him into the house.
So we do have his brother then...
We followed behind Klaus and Stefan to make sure that he didn't try to run.
When we got to the ballroom I had to stifle a gasp at what I saw.
Damon was being suspended from the ceiling by bear traps. He had deep cuts and bruises on his face and body. He could barely open his eyes or lift his head to see who had walked into the room. He couldn't even heal from all his wounds because of the loss of blood.
I stared at Damon with slight confusion, while trying to hide the emotion as best as I can. I just couldn't understand why I cared so much that he was hurt. I had seen hundreds of vampires and humans like he was now and had not batted an eye but just seeing him like that now was making me feel this slight tugging in my chest.
I decided to ignore the feeling for now and focus on the threat in front of me. I let my family do all the talking while I kept on watching.
"Let's see if your brother can be compelled," Klaus told Stefan as he walked up to Damon. My uncle looked into his eyes and started to compel him, "Break yourself free."
Damon then proceeded to try to get his hands free. He screamed in complete agony when he slowly started to pull his hands free of the vervain coated bear traps.
After a minute of watching him try to get himself free, Klaus spoke again "Alright stop, stop, stop, before you hurt yourself," He ended the compulsion with a smirk.
"Now that we know he can be compelled," Klaus exclaimed happily before he got serious and stepped closer to Damon. He grabbed his jaw and forced him to look directly at him, making sure that he paid attention to whatever he said next, "Now, minus the stake that was in my brother how many more stakes are out there that can kill us?" Klaus then gestured behind him to where Uncle Eli, Aunt Rebekah, and I were standing. We were all fine in letting Klaus do all the talking.
Damon was panting, covered in sweat as he tried to catch his breath after the first compulsion that Klaus made him do when he rasped out "Eleven."
"ELEVEN! REALLY!" Klaus shouted before looking to Stefan, "So not eight then." Klaus looked murderously at the younger vampire.
"You really shouldn't have lied," Aunt Rebekah said while glaring at Stefan.
Stefan closed his eyes tightly for a moment before opening them again, "I will get you the other stakes."
"Yes that would be nice," Uncle Eli responded while glaring at him as well, even more so than his siblings.
"Well since you lied maybe I'll just compel your brother to take out his own tongue," Klaus growled out while pointing at Damon.
The tugging got a little worse at that but I chose to ignore it again.
"What is wrong with you!?" Stefan was now the one glaring at Klaus.
"What is wrong with you!? You go after my family and you don't expect me to do something about it!? Especially after you lied about having more White Oak stakes than you originally said! Don't tell me you wouldn't do the same thing or worse!" Klaus yelled at him.
"Enough!" Stefan yelled back and pushed Klaus to the wall next to us. He just held him there.
Klaus then reversed the position but this time Stefan came a little more prepared and he had a White Oak stake pointed to Klaus' heart. It seemed like Stefan hoped to kill Klaus and escape with his brother.
I guess he forgot about the rest of the Originals in the room, I thought dryly.
"Step down or you will both die," Klaus said in a low voice.
Stefan glared at Klaus and looked around. When he started to slowly move his hand with the stake away from Klaus, I assumed that he had come to the same conclusion that I did moments before.
"There. Now you only have to get us the other two." Klaus whispered to Stefan before he let him go.
"This is starting to get ridiculous by how long it's taking," Aunt Rebekah stated before she walked up to Damon and released him from the bear traps.
Damon grunted in pain before he fell to his knees.
"What are you doing?" Uncle Eli and Klaus exclaimed at the same time, giving each other a quick glance when they realized it too.
"I brought him here, I get to release him." She defended as she stepped away from Damon; she was done with him now.
Aunt Rebekah glared at Stefan and Damon hard, "Bring us those two stakes and you both live. And don't think I won't kill you if we don't have them in the next 48 hours," her eyes focused only on Stefan, "Take your brother as a sign of good faith."
Aunt Rebekah took the bag with the stakes before she walked out. Uncle Eli and I followed at her heels moments later.
I heard Klaus dismiss the Salvatores before he followed us to the living room. He joined us by the fireplace where Uncle Eli and I watched Aunt Rebekah burn the stakes to ash.
We heard the front door open and slam shut moments after but we didn't even bat an eye as we kept our eyes trained to the fire where the stakes burned.
It wasn't until the fire started to die down that we moved or said anything.
"Well I'm off to bed, it's been a long day and I need to rest," Aunt Rebekah announced as she moved away from the fire.
We all started to walk to our separate bedrooms. We each murmured a goodnight to each other before we closed our doors.
I fell into a deep sleep as soon as my head touched my pillow. My last thought was to call my friend tomorrow before I had succumbed to the darkness.
Up next we are going to deal with Elena!
