Tim shuddered as a cold wind blew by. Dick landed on a rooftop to survey his surroundings, and the two Robins landed with him. Jason gripped his crowbars as he took in the scenery

"I don't like it, Nightwing. This place feels so wrong…so hostile. Plus it stinks like death and sewer."

The vigilante chuckled.

"Welcome to Bludhaven, Jason."

Nightwing is here. I will enjoy breaking every bone in his body, little Robin! AHAHAHA!

Tim shreaked and grabbed Jason, who yelled and grabbed Nightwing, who glared at them both and unclipped his escrima. "What? What is it?"

"You didn't hear that?!" Tim asked, shaking hard "I swear I heard Blockbuster just threaten you!"

Dick snarled, "Ok Blockhead show yourself! You want me? I'm right here waiting!"

"Waiting to die, Nightwing? Good! Meet me on the roof, if you dare!"

Tim nearly wet himself as he caught a glimps of the massive figure waiting on a nearby roof. "Dick…don't do this, please! He's bigger than BANE! He'll KILL you!"

Jason shushed him "If Dick refuses this fight altogether, he will die anyway."

Dick snorted, then gulped "I have to face him."

Tim sniffed "I don't want to lose you, Dick. You're like a brother to me."

"I know, Robin. Don't worry, I'll be fine…I think." Dick laughed nervously, then swung to the roof where the behemoth of DOOM awaited him.

Blockbuster cracked his knuckles as the vigilante approached, his hands aching to wrap Nightwing in between them and squeeze until his throat was crushed. The hero seemed to notice this action, for he landed out of arm's reach. The villain smirked.

"Afraid of my grip, Vigilante?" he taunted.

Nightwing glared at him from the shadows

"I know you've been waiting, Roland. So, you want to end me tonight? Well here I am. Take me if you CAN!"

He threw a smoke bomb and dodged to the right, narrowly missing getting grabbed and crushed by the bear hug Desmond no doubt was planning t use on him.

"Slippery aren't you, vigilante?" Blockbuster snickered as a preditor who knows his prey is toying with him.

"Get a grip, Roland. I think you may be off balance!" Nightwing quipped, flipping over Blockbuster and kicking the behemoth in the back of the knees, toppling him over on his back.

Tim groaned as Blockbuster recovered and lunged again for Dick, nearly snagging his legs as the hero went over him again. "Don't taunt him Dick, he'll KILL you!"

Suddenly, the behemoth was in front of the Current Boy Wonder, and Jason barely had time to yell "GET OUTTA THERE!" before his successor was grabbed by the throat. Blockbuster laughed and squeazed, laughing harder as Tim's body began to spasm and contort and he made strangled noises while stabbing the monster wioth a birdarang.

"NO!" Dick yelled, sliding under the massive villain and lashing out with his legs, dislocating one of Desmond's kneecaps. The intense pain made the giant let go of Tim, and Jason caught him and grappled to higher ground as fast as he could.

Unfortunately, this was Blockbuster's plan, and he grabbed Nightwing's outstretched leg in his giant fist, bringing the vigilante off the ground upside-down, to slam him backfirst into a light pole, then a wall, then the roof itself. Stunned, Nightwing couldn't get his body to obey him, and spent five minutes being slammed into the ground again and again and again.

Tim screamed in rage, being held back by Jason, "NOoooooooooo! Leave him ALONE! Lemme GO Jason he NEEDS me!"

"Shut up and watch. If Nightwing falls…this place will fall too. He isn't out of this yet Drake, relax."

Dick waited for Blockbuster to swing him up again, then planted his foot in the behemoth's face hard enough that he was let go. He followed with a lunge into the villain that sent them both into a wall.

Tim watched eagerly as Dick picked himself up, and delivered a flurry of kicks to his rival's face before Desmond countered by grabbing his leg again. Instead of slamming him around, he simply threw the hero into the wall.

Nightwing flipped over Blockbuster, laughing snidely. "I thought you said something about crushing me!"

He regretted getting so close to the villain as Blockbuster grabbed him by the back of his collar and shook him hard.

"Oh I'm going to do MORE than crush you!"

Laughing, the behemoth played with the hero; tossing him up in the air, then putting his knee through Dick's stomach, making the hero vomit blood. He picked him up by the neck and punched him repeatedly in the chest, then the ribs. Laying the now battered and bruised hero on the ground, Blockbuster roared with laughter as he stomped all over Dick, then kicked him off the edge of the roof.

Tim threw up as he watched his 'brother's body flop onto the pavement, lifeless as a rag doll.

He didn't get up.

"No…" the youngest Robin whispered, tears forming as he noticed some of the environment disappearing, "No…no no no NO! Dick get up!"

Jason too, gripped his crowbars and growled "Don't let it end this way, Dick. Remember, you pass out now, you're dead. GET UP Grayson!"

Blockbuster jumped off the roof, fully intending on landing on the hero and crushing him under his bulk. Right before impact, Nightwing rolled to the side, and started to get up, his body broken, but his spirit defiant of death. Blockbuster grinned sadisticly

"Oh no you don't!" he said, picking the hero up again and snapping his arm into splinters.

In pain, but full of fight, Nightwing went limp. Suprized, Blockbuster nonetheless lifted him over his head. The hero sneered, and fired his wrist grapple, having it pull him away before Blockbuster could break his back.

"Get back here!" the villain roared, climbing up, "You won't defeat me, not with a broken arm!"

Dick huddled in the shadows, near to where the two Robins watched. "He's right you know." he muttered to them, "I won't beat him. Not like this."

Jason sighed "If you give up now—"

"I'm NOT giving up! I just need….I need…some time. I need a plan. I can't beat him one on one…I won't be able to run from him very long. I need…TIM!"

"You need Tim? Why?"

"No I mean TIM!" Nightwing said, franticly pointing to his brother-in-cape, who was attacking the massive villain with his bo staff.

"Drake you idiot get back here!" Jason roared "This isn't your fight!"

Tim gave Nightwing a look, and the vigilante took to the roof again, using batline and one of his escrima sticks to make a splint, a plan already forming in his mind.

"Tim, lure him up to Bludhaven Tower! I know how to end this fight!"

Hoping against all hope that Dick knew what he was doing, Tim climbed the tower, Blockbuster hot on his tail.

"Hey Blocky!" Nightwing taunted, stepping back from where he stood at the top, his hands behind him, "Don't you know there is more than one way to….FALL OFF A LOG?!"

He moved, and the line he was holding released an escrima stick that had been fit like an arrow on a bow. The power of the batline-launched projectile hit the villian's head with such force that Roland was knocked backwards, falling onto the street twenty stories below, to dissipate into black smoke.

The final piece of the disease had been defeated.

Jason breathed in relief, catching Dick as he fell to his knees, panting heavily from the physical and mental strain.

"I…I won…" the Former Boy Wonder breathed. "I defeated it. So, Tim," he asked, giving a half smile, "Transformers or Tron?" His smile turned into a frown as he looked for his younger brother, who for some reason was not on the roof.

"Tim?!"

Jason gasped, a green-gloved hand over his mouth as he looked over the side of the roof onto the street below.

"No…" he croaked.

Dick panicked and looked as well, fearing that he would see the third Robin's crumpled and broken body littering the streets of his psychy. When it was revealed that the street was empty, Dick beaned his successor with an escrima stick

"What the HELL Jason!? He isn't down there! You nearly gave me a heart attack YOU HAPPY?!"

He was beaned in turn with a crowbar as the answering, trembling growl of Jason Todd answered darkly,

"He isn't HERE, Grayson. "

"So? You said his stay wasn't permanent, so I fail to see the problem."

"The problem, DICK, is that he DIDN'T return! Tim CAN't get back to his own head because he has no idea how he got here in the first place! I am the guide here, without me, you two…BOTH OF YOU, cannot get home!"

There was a long pause.

"Crap."

Suddenly, a robin flew by, chased by a strange bird Dick had never seen before. The robin dipped and weaved, but the other bird still gave chase, bearing down on it at an amazingly fast rate. They flew off into the rising sun, and suddenly, Dick knew exactly where his successor had gone.

"Come on. I can't leave yet, Jason. I may have won against the desease...but that little robin needs help, and I'm guessing I know where they are going. If I'm right...we'll find Tim as well, and he'll need just as much help."

As he readied his line, Jason cautioned him softly

"I don't have much time, Nightwing. The Specter only gave me the time you would take to recover. If you wait too long, you'll be trapped in a coma until you die."

Dick snorted, firing his grapple.

"Hal can wait, Jason. If he shows up, I'll vouch for you. Now come on!"

Jason followed his predecessor off the roof, as he headed once again for the spring part of Dick's mind, the pull of his time constraint beginning to make itself known.

Just a little longer. Please, Jordan give me just a little longer!
