"Lilly Beck!"

I snapped my head up as I heard the teacher bark out my name. Looking around, I saw that everyone had turned in their seats to get a look at me, in all my sleepy-drooly glory. Scratched the back of my head in embarrassment I replied with, "I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention."

Mr. Gray, a short porky man who was balding only at the top of his head, pointed his yard stick in my direction, "I knew you weren't. You were to busy daydreaming about your dumb movies." Oh yeah, Mr. Gray is a dick to me. Ever since he had the class fill out those 'Get to know you!' papers at the beginning of the year, he seemed to take a vow to torture me in front of the class. "I'm pretty sure that seeing me after class won't ruin any scheduled daydreaming, now will it Ms. Beck?"

The class snickered at me when he technically delivered the final blow. I slunk down in my seat, accepting defeat, and traced my finger around my binder. This would be the second time he has made me stayed after class, and I'd be lying if I said that he didn't make me feel uncomfortable the slightest. I'm pretty sure that's his goal throughout this year, make me so uncomfortable that I would 'behave'.

A paper airplane made its way onto my desk. I didn't have to look twice to know that Cory, my best friend since the second grade, was the culprit. Unfolding the plane, I read over the note, 'You look like something off of The Walking Dead.' I giggled a bit as I looked over to Cory, who was already looking at me.

Writing back, 'I'll tell you after Gray tells me off.' Having no skills to make a paper airplane, I crumpled up the paper and chucked it at him. The paper bounced off his blonde hair and landed right in front of him. He looked at the paper before giving me an 'I'm impressed' look. I mockingly threw my arms up in triumph when-

"Lilly! Pay attention!"

"Yes sir." I quietly replied, lowering my arms and making a face towards Cory as he pointed and mocked me for getting in trouble.

Mr. Gray's lecture about me being disrespectful seemed to go on for hours before he finally dismissed me from his class. As I walked out of his class room, rubbing my eyes tiredly, Cory walked beside me out of no where.

"So, champ, what's up with the extra luggage?" He asked, poking at the bags under my eyes.

I laughed slightly as I swiped at his hands, "I don't know if I wanna tell you if you're going to keep on poking my bags." Saying that made him pull his hands away. I thought of how to approach the question...do I just say, 'Hey, fucking Freddy Krueger was in my dream last night that's why I have this cut on my cheek!' which he also seemed to be staring at right now. "See something you like?"

Cory didn't take his eyes off the cut, "Did you do that?"

Our eyes met for a second before I looked away and laughed nervously, "Ha, yeah about that..." I rubbed my arms a little, shifted from foot to foot before I met his gaze once again, "Promise you won't tell my brother."

His eyebrows raised as he held up his hands, "Yo, dude, if you're gonna harm yourself you bet your ass that-"

I quickly slapped my hand over his mouth, "Let me finish. I didn't do this." I traced the cut on my cheek. "It happened in my dream last night." As soon as I said that, I chuckled slightly. God I ruined it, I sound like I'm crazy. "You think I'm crazy, huh? But I'm not lying. I just woke up this morning and it was there! I mean I guess it happened while I was dreaming. CauseinthedreamFreddyKruegerwasinthereandhecutme." I quickly rambled out.

His eyes didn't seem to get any bigger as he removed my hands from his face. "Please tell me you are joking." My silence seemed to set him off at that point. "Fucking Freddy Krueger? That killer from the movies? How could he? But he's not real? I mean, I hope he isn't real. Not that him being a real person wouldn't be totally bitching, but... Freddy Krueger?"

I just nodded along with what he was saying. Cory took to pacing back and forth for awhile, seemingly organizing his thoughts. I kind of felt weird telling him this, since this only happened last night and the possibility of it being a horror movie character would seem totally unrealistic, but Cory was one of those people who try to prove the existence of things. He's one of those people who would sign up to go to an abandoned factory to find out if reported hauntings there are fake or not.

Cory abruptly grabbed my shoulders, staring me dead in the eye. "Are you sure you got that cut from him? What if you just sleep walked?"

Sleep walking...have I ever sleep walked before? I don't recall doing anything like that. "I don't think I sleep walk? I mean, I haven't heard anything from my family about me supposedly sleep walking?"

He stared at me a couple moments longer, probably thinking of what to ask next. His face cracked into a smile as he slightly pushed me backwards, "Do you mind if I sleep over tonight?"

I busted through the door to my house, my socks making me slip slightly as I headed towards the stairs. As I got closer to the stairs, socks decided to slip once again, and I crashed my hip against the counter. Clenching my hip, I fell to the ground with a painful hiss.

"Motherfuck that hurts." I hissed as I clenched onto my hip to relieve some of the pain.

Derek came jogging into the kitchen, also slipping a bit as well. "Are you okay? I heard a bump." I assessed my position before he chuckled, "Did you freaking slip on the floor?"

I made a face at him as I turned over onto my knees to try and get up. Derek seemed to be in a laugh attack as he was probably imagining how my misfortunate fall occurred. Hissing as I lifted up my shirt, to look at the damage, I saw that my skin was a little torn where the corner of the counter hit, and that the surrounding skin was a bit of a dark shade.

"I just love getting bruises." I remarked as I prodded at the cut. It wasn't bleeding, but It stung when I touched it.

Derek, who seemed to have calmed down from his laugh attack looked at my injury a moment, "You might want to change into a baggy shirt or else that'll catch onto something, then that would hurt even worse." He paused when I mock laughed at him with a sneer. "Why were you in such a hurry anyway? So excited to go back to your little horror domain? Or was school really that bad?"

Picking up my backpack, which had flown out of my hands during the fall, I treaded up the stairs, "Both!" I called out to my brother.

At the top of the stairs, I walked past two rooms, the one closest to the stairs belonging to my dad, who was probably already asleep since he had to get up at one in the morning for work, the second one was a guest room. I entered the last door, locking it behind me so that no one would try walking in on me. Throwing my bag against the wall I ran over to my window where Cory was already waiting on the balcony.

"God, what took you so long?" Was the first thing he said to me when he climbed in.

"I had a little trip." I replied, lifting up my shirt to show him what happened.

He took a look at it, making a comment about me being accident prone, and launched himself onto my bed. I sighed as I walked over to my closet, looking for a large T-shirt. "If someone finds out that you're here, it's for a project okay?" I called over my shoulder.

"Yeah, a project that includes me sleeping over here." He sarcastically retorts.

Picking up a slipper, I chucked it towards him, "Smartass. How'd you convince you're foster parents to let you stay over?" Cory was one of those babies whose parents gave him up right when he was born. He says that 'this is like my tenth pair for foster parents', but since he likes to exaggerate, I would only think that this might be his second pair of foster parents.

He snorted as he folded his arms behind his head, "I didn't. They don't care what I do since they're gone most of the time. They just think that buying me all this stuff will entertain me."

Finally finding a large shirt, I stripped out of my old shirt and pulled it over my head. Pulling my hair free from the collar, I turned to look at Cory's form on the bed. His short blonde hair tousled slightly, his blue eyes hidden under long eyelashes, and his basketball built body hidden under a Just Do It long-sleeved tee and basketball shorts.

I frowned slightly, but decided to change the topic, "Wanna watch a movie?"

In no time, we were sitting against my bed as Scary Movie started. My normal choice of Nightmare on Elm Street was avoided, mostly because I didn't want to have another nightmare with Freddy in it if that was what last night really was, just a nightmare. I shifted my eyes from the T.V. to my door every now and then, I wasn't very used to sneaking someone into my room, so you could guess I'd be a little worried of getting in trouble.

"You know, I always find it kind of creepy when she finds out the gym teacher is really a guy when his ball sack-hey are you okay?" Cory looked over to the door then back to me, "Ah, you're scared of getting in trouble."

I laughed slightly as I paused the movie, "There's a lot of things I'm scared of tonight, getting in trouble would be the top one right now."

When I said that, the light shining under my door shut off mostly signaling that my brother is heading to bed too. I looked at Cory to see that he was giving his shit-eating smiles. "Looks like you have one less thing to worry about."

I huffed as I un-paused the movie, moving to lay up on my bed and watch it instead of sitting on the ground. As soon as I hit the bed, I was out like a light, leaving Cory to watch the rest of the movie.

In the distance, a happy tune seemed to be playing in the distance as I walked through a wheat field. I was wearing a Aperture Science tank top with an orange jump suit that tied around my waist.

"Oh sweet! I'm in a portal dream!" I beamed. I lifted my hand to find the portal gun. Looking around, I found a lone white surface, squinting one eye and aiming at the white surface, I shot. Weirdly enough, when I shot the blue portal, it seemed that the portal already led somewhere. I jogged over to the portal and looked in, all I saw was black. "What the fuck?" and at that moment, I was pushed into it.

Instead of falling on the long fall boots that I thought I also had, I landed on my feet with a sickening crack. I cried out in pain as I brought my legs up to my chest. Clicks were heard, and I opened my eyes to find a pathway lightened by over hanging, subway looking, lights. Testing out my feet, they seemed to be fine once again, I stood up and hesitantly followed the pathway. Many times I turned around due to feeling someone breathing on my neck, only to find that no one was there.

Reaching a door, I was hesitant to open it, but finally my curiosity won over and I pulled on the large handle. I braced myself for impact, but when nothing came, I looked around. This wasn't a death machine, or a gnashing monster, this was an office. For the second time during this dream, I whispered, "What the fuck?".

The door slammed shut behind me, causing me to jump. Turning back to the table in the office, I walked towards to and looked at the papers on the table. It took me a moment to notice that these papers where profiles of me. Creeped out, I looked around the office once more, the once pleasant paintings that hung on the wall were now gory massacres in familiar movies, the pencils in the cup holder on the desk shifted into different types of weapons. I started backing away from the changing scenery, only to have a familiar clawed hand grab my shoulder.

My whole body froze as his breath tickled my ear, "Welcome to the family."

And just like that, I woke up.

My eyes snapped open to find Cory's face looming over me. I looked around to see that I was no longer in my bed, but in front of my closet. My questioning look turned to Cory whose face looked pretty disappointed, which could only mean one thing. He doesn't believe me.

"You were sleep walking, champ."

Yupp! That's how I'm ending this chapter. Two cliffhangers. Suck it.

Sorry for not updating in forever! High school and art classes are very time consuming. I had just barely updated my other story and sat there like, "I should also probably update this story too..."
Soooo...Ta-daa! (also, I'm sorry for any grammar or spelling errors, I'm kinda just...I don't even know)

Okay, here's something I'm gonna need to ask you guys. If you have suggested a character, or want to suggest a character, would you mind PMing me? I have tried to PM some of you, but for some reason my laptop will crash everytime I get to either your profile, or to the PM box. seriously bugs me man. Plus, getting you're characters in form of a PM helps me more so that I can reply easier about certain things involving the character and all that shnazz.

Replies to reviews next chapter!

Until next time...
