I've been so caught up in life, I honestly forgot I had this account.
Harry honestly didn't know how he ended up in this position. Roaming the forests with Sirius and Remus. He honestly had no idea how he agreed to this. Okay he's lying. He knew this was gonna happen. But walking? He had fucking wings why was he walking? Why in the bloody woods? Huh? This was truly outrageous.
First it all started when Sirius had said something about the beach and about them going the next day. Turns out, Sirius had called up their old friends scheduling today to be the perfect day for a little meet and greet.
Why did he have to come along too?
Harry could honestly care less. He didn't care about those people. He didn't know them and he'd like to keep it that way.
He couldn't even have a day to himself. Yesterday was just blah. He couldn't sleep. He kept puking up chunks of raw meat. It turns out that it didn't settle right with his new and improved tummy. But holy fuck it sure did feel right eating it and it sure did taste good.
His morning was pretty good. Not great but pretty okay for someone who had just been turned into a creature no one knows absolutely nothing about. But as he remembered the morning, the more he actually remembered agreeing to the whole beach thing.
...
"Oh Merlin what have I gotten myself into?" Harry spoke up to the cloudy sky, head in his hands. He was now lent up against the third floor balcony. He went scoping out the rest of the house, discovering a library, private study, and a few other boring places. The wind tousled his hair as the thin wispy clouds above slowly inched by. God damn he was so freaking bored, he was literally thinking about finding a bridge and jumping off of it. "Why did this have to happen to me?" He questioned to the sky once again.
There was no answer.
His life was fine. Well better than normal if he may say. Remus was all crazy and depressed but that was predictable. Nothing outrageous was happening so far but Draco was acting a little too skittish if you asked him. Snape was giving Harry looks but nothing was out of the ordinary with that. His life was okay until this came out of nowhere, biting him in the arse.
"This fucking sucks!"
A random passerby bird who hears his exclaim lands on the banister he's against. With grace she tilts her head to the side in confusion, hoping towards him with two thin legs. 'Tweet Tweet' she responds and Harry scoffs, offended. "Well no one asked you anyway." He grunts crossing his arms over his chest. He stuck his nose in the air. "So don't even go there."
The little birdy exploded into a fit of squeaks and squeals. 'Tweet Tweet Tweet Tweet!' Harry gasped mouth falling agape. "Well I never," he huffed clearly taken back at the bird's choice of words per say. "Listen here. You don't know nothing."
The bird hopped closer to Harry menacingly, beak narrowed. The newly pronounced angel rose an eyebrow before flailing his arms to shoo the bird away. She didn't budge. Instead she nipped his finger harshly and Harry immediately popped the abused digit in his mouth.
"Ow! Why'd you do that?" He whined around the finger before sucking the pulsing flesh with hast, glaring at bird.
A voice cut through the silence around him. "Harry who you are talking to!"
Eh. It was Sirius.
"No one!" Harry called back absently rolling his eyes towards the sound the voice, but he could practically see the unconvinced look on his god father's face who was nowhere near him and threw in a, "I'm talking to myself!"
"Alright!" Sirius yelled and Harry easily caught on to the 'he's freaking nuts' Sirius oh so discreetly muttered out. Super hearing and all.
'Tweet Tweet.' The bird sassed before sharply flying away.
"Yeah you better fly away." Harry taunted, shaking his fists to the bird's forgotten path. "Bloody bird," he mumbled spitefully, resuming the self-care to his mutilated finger. And NO he wasn't over exaggerating, thank you very much.
"I'm talking to birds now. That's just great isn't it?" Harry muttered, a big frown etching deep in his face. It felt oddly uncomfortable. Like it wasn't setting right in his skin. "A bird just insulted me," he groaned, finally letting his finger from his mouth. "Maybe I am going a little nuts."
"Harry come here for a minute!" It was Remus this time.
"Alright, I'm coming!" Harry grudgingly turned on this heel, exited the hallway and proceeded to descend down the stairs to his awaiting family members.
"Is this an ultimatum?" Harry snapped in question once he arrived. "Are you both just gonna start ganging up on me?"
"Now I know you're still mad." Sirius muttered and Harry scoffed. Damn right he still was. "But we've got to talk to you."
"Are we leaving this place and going to the Bahamas?"
Remus frowned looking a tad bit ashamed. "No." He cradled Teddy more close to him as if his answer was unacceptable in even his ears.
"Are Ron and Hermione staying with us?
Remus coughed. "No."
"Then there's nothing you could possibly talk to me about that is relevant to me." Harry clapped his hands and gave them a dismissive nod. "I'm going to my room now."
"You're acting like a brat, stop it." Sirius scolded and Harry scoffed yet again, rolling his eyes hard.
This was bullshit.
"Do you want me to be happy about this?" Harry sneered, throwing his hands in the air. "You want me to brush this shit off like it's all happy dandy? Huh?" He laughed but it came out purposely hollow and bitter. "You don't have fucking wings sprouting from your fucking back so I wouldn't expect you to understand!"
Sirius sent him a smoldering look. "Remus tell him the thing!" Sirius ordered and a bit flustered, Remus frowned in confusion. He doesn't like to be suddenly thrown into conversations it was very unnerving. "What was it again?"
"We're going to the beach and meeting our friends!" Sirius hissed over at him lowly. Harry ears obviously picked up on that but Remus repeated it obediently anyways.
Harry grumbled, noticing that-wasn't even relevant to him at all. "The hell?"
"What does that have to do with me," Harry drawled, looking down at his fingernails in disinterest. "It's not like the beach here is special. Plus their your friends not mine."
"Well you wanted to go to the beach in the Bahamas so badly so we're going to this beach." Sirius came over beside him, eyes narrowing, and glare notching up twice as high. "And as we're meeting our old friends you will behave," He whispered low enough so only Harry could hear before yelling. "This will be a happy thing. We'll all be happy!"
Harry nodded, seemingly amused and angry all at once. "Sure, I'll behave but I wonder how they'll react when they see two gigantic wings dragging from my back."
"We've got that covered."
"Oh, really? How?" Harry asked, his eyes shining with anger.
Sirius turned to face him completely, meeting his stare. "They won't see your wings if you have on a wing holster."
"A wing holster?" Harry mocked. "I thought I was supposed to embrace my wings not conceal them."
"You can take it off when you're alone or in the house in general," Sirius said, giving him a 'duh' look. "Honestly, we're not taking away your freedom. The holster is just to keep them to your body and to prevent accidental flare ups."
"Great," Harry sneered.
"Now run along." Sirius said, waving his fingers towards the staircase. "Go and get dressed. I know you've gotten all good looking, but let's not introduce semi nudity to them just yet."
Harry looked down at himself noticing he was still only in his underwear from yesterday morning. Normally he'd just literally run along and go get dressed. But you see, there was just one problem. "What kind of fucking clothes am I supposed to wear with wings sprouting from my back, Sirius?"
"We've got that covered." Sirius replied, completely unaffected by Harry's little outburst. Harry stood there for a couple seconds and Sirius snapped his fingers impatiently. "Well, run along."
...
Sirius was trailing behind him with Teddy and Remus trudged in front of him. The silence was comfortable for them of course, but not Harry. He could literally hear every bug, critter, and small animal. The small little click clackes of their teeth and natural calls to their species. Harry never thought he'd ever start to despise nature, but he was beginning to. "Since we're gonna go see your friends. After, can we leave?"
Remus chuckled from his position ahead and Sirius rolled his eyes. "You know the answer to that."
"It's not like you're going to see them everyday," Harry said, crossing his arms. He kicked a couple of rocks that were in his way. He debated on sticking his hands in his coat pockets but he felt that that action gave him no authority. "It's not like they're my friends."
"Harry you really need to start accepting that this place is your new home for the time being. I know you miss your friends-," Harry stopped listening at that moment, ignoring Sirius and not even pretending to listen.
Up ahead, Remus suddenly halted, his body going tense. "Something's coming and coming fast." He held up a hand to disperse Sirius' panic before it even became apparent. "Just stay calm, honey. Just get your wand out."
Harry was already alert, facing south, watching the tree line of the forest intently, watching for the slightest movement. He narrowed his eyes as the trees started to sway dangerously. His hand gripped his wand and his wings felt the urge to burst out of the entrapment they were in. Sirius called it a holster. Harry called it a cage.
Everyone was still, even as Remus moved to Sirius' side protectively. Harry moved backwards to stand in front of the family trio. To Harry's surprise, Teddy was watching the forest as well, with baited breath and narrowed eyes.
Harry saw a tree fall in the forest and he narrowed his eyes as he saw a flash of red. That's when Harry got confused, because nothing was that fast! This was exactly what he needed. First dragged to the beach against his will and now this? He just wished he didn't die before actually discovering something about himself.
What the hell were they up against?
"Vampires," Remus said, as if hearing his silent question. He barely moved his lips and the word was barely a whisper. He was as still as a statue.
Harry totally wasn't prepared as he saw the trees part and a redhead fly into the clearing, the wind whipping her hair violently. Remus and Sirius seemed to catch their breath as they saw five others emerge from the trees, seemingly chasing the red head one.
Time seemed to freeze. Or was that just what Harry was feeling? He stood so still, not even breathing. Sirius wasn't moving and Remus was close to fangs right now. No one dared to move because it seemed like no one noticed their presence yet.
The redhead jumped over the stretch of the water, that divided two sides of property and the other five skidded to a halt by the creek. Watching her. A blonde one whispered. "She's on their territory now."
Their territory? What kind of trouble were they in?
Harry stood with his arms at his sides, watching the female darkly. They were just uphead by a couple dozen yards and she was moving as though she were not moving at all. But then.
She stopped a few yards away.
Harry kept his gaze away from the other vampires as he moved his eyes towards the redheaded woman. She was tall, almost wild-looking with her fiery red hair. His instincts were telling him to attack. But how was he suppose to go up against a bloody vampire? She looked like she wanted to jump him.
She looked…so hungry… as if she had
been yearning for his blood. She drank in the sight of him like a starving woman, flickering to every part of his appearance. Sirius saw her eyes shifting up and down Harry's body, and his eyes narrowed.
Her long red hair sprawled in curls all around her head, and her pale face was fierce. In Harry's opinion, she looked wild, and driven, like a man on a mission. Intelligent and dangerous red eyes stared at the boy before her, looking him up and down.
'Delicious.' Harry went impossibly more stiff when those words flooded through his mind. 'He smells so fucking good.'
'Delicious.'
'Kill.'
'Feed.'
'Now.'
'Drain.'
This was absolutely rich. Thoughts! He could hear her bloody thoughts. It was an impressive talent but not really helpful at the moment. Those words kept repeating in his mind like a mantra and he clenched his hands into infuriating fists. He wished he wasn't here. He wished that he was anywhere but here to be exact.
He wasn't about to let Teddy get hurt.
Nor Remus
Or Sirius.
He shut his eyes. Probably a very stupid move considering that he had a vampire standing a few yards away looking at him like he was a turkey on thanksgiving. This body had to be good for something right?
'Come on.' Harry thought pleadingly. 'Eyes, shoot laser beams, hands conjure a fucking magic vampire slaying sword.' The vampire took a step forward and Harry's eyes shot open. 'Something! Anything!'
There was a tugging sensation at his naval and his sight went completely black. It suddenly felt as if his body was being thrown and he was flying, in the midst of this all, he let out a surprised scream. Reaching out frantically, trying grab onto something.
But he was unsuccessful.
All he could do was hope he wasn't dying and hope that Remus, Sirius and Teddy were safe. As well scream their names so loud Merlin could hear him. Pain shot through his forehead, and a sudden weight bored down on him. He could feel the pressure around him rising.
But as quick as it rose it was shrinking.
His body jerked as of he were caught in the middle of two forces going opposite directions, both of the relentlessly pulling his limbs.
But then it all stopped and he was he went lax for a moment.
He came down hard, colliding with sand. He miraculously landed on his feet but he soon fell to his knees, hearing waves crash on to a shore. "Remus? Sirius?" Harry called out as he stirred. He squinted at his surroundings. Sand. Water. Conclusion? The beach.
What in the hell just happened?
"Remus?" he whispered, clutching the sand beneath him, not wanting to go through that little incident that just happened, again.
"Sirius?" He looked around and his family lay sprawled out on the sand seemingly unconscious a few feet away from him. His face contorted into horror. "Sirius!"
He stumbled to get to them. "Remus!" He began to panic very quickly. "I've killed them. I killed them all!" Harry cried in hysterics and soon the clouds above were beginning to darken. "How did this happen? What the hell just happened? I murdered them!"
The clouds began to swirl dangerously as his panic increased. "What am I going to do?"
There was a cough followed by a wheeze from Remus and Harry's heart bursted with delight. "We're not dead." Remus groaned. "Although it felt like we were."
The clouds quickly lightened again.
"Let's not do that again." Sirius sputtered, clutching Teddy to his chest. He was unfortunately still out of it. "Whatever that was."
"Apparition?" Remus piped but Harry shook his head. He didn't touch any one. So they couldn't have come with him. He wasn't concentrating on that task per say, he didn't think of a location line apparition required. If this were apparition someone wouldn't gotten splinged.
"It couldn't have been."
"Teleporting." Remus prompted.
"If that even possible?" Sirius asked as he attempted to sit up as gently as possible without jarring Teddy.
"Considering Harry's condition, anything's possible." Remus replied a matter of factly.
"Great." Harry said solemnly. "Teleporting. Fantastic. Could I control it? Oh I don't know. Could I end up in China accidentally? Possibly. Is this a load of bullshit. Hell yeah it is."
"At least we made it to the beach." Sirius chimed happily. "In one piece." He looked out into the shore and Teddy shifted in his nappy time state. "Next time we decide to go to the beach, let's drive there. Taking a stroll through the woods was a really bad idea."
"Thank you for seeing your faults, honey."
Harry stood up, dusted the sand off his jeans and trench coat and looked at grey water with distaste. "The water in the Bahamas is blue." He looked down at the yellow and toed it with his shoe. "The sand in the Bahamas is white."
"Harry. Please Shut up." Sirius ordered, his voice so calm and civilized, Harry might've gulped. If he did he wasn't gonna admit it.
But he did indeed shut up.
'If I here him say Bahamas one more time. I'll skin him no matter how many years of hell I'm given.'
Harry looked absolutely mortified. Sirius clearly wasn't the one to fuck with. He'd keep this thought reading thing to himself for the time being, that's for sure. Never say Bahamas again. Okay cool. He could live with that.
"So as much as I love laying in wet sand. I kind of want to get up and go to our second destination, as planned." Remus said, looking out into the ocean and swiftly getting up.
He held out a hand for Sirius who gladly accepted it.
Harry really didn't want to walk anymore or do anything, really. He felt so emotionally drained, he thought it was effecting his physical attributes. But then again, that sand by his feet looked ultra comfy.
He felt his eye lids droop.
"You alright there Harry?" 'Please don't puke again.'
Harry felt a hand on his shoulder and he saw Remus' blurry figure standing in front of him. He blinked hard, eye lids heavy. He sluggishly nodded his head, with a glazed over smile. "Yeah I'm great. I just wanna take a little nap."
Harry heard streams of protest but then suddenly his eyes fell closed and his center of gravity shifted backwards. For a moment, it didn't feel like he was falling, in fact he felt like he was floating.
It's when he collided with the sand, he was out like a light and to top it off he disappeared.
Sirius resisted the urge to faint. Remus resisted to show his actually emotions.
They both stopped breathing and Remus went as far to rub his eyes to check if this was all a sick joke. Harry just disappeared, leaving sandy dust particles in his departure. Perfect. Absolutely perfect.
"Holy Shit." Sirius cursed, frantically kicking the sand where Harry literally just was. "Where the hell did he go?"
Teddy was far from sleep now.
"I don't know." Remus said calmly and Sirius gritted his teeth. Now was not the time to play the calm and collected parental figure. Now was the time to freak the fuck out because they've literally watched their angel disappear.
"I bet he'll be fine."
Remus, you dirty little liar.
"What's the worst that could happen."
Really, he pulled that line? Now something bad is bound to happen.
"Now, let's go greet our old friend." Remus insisted, grabbing Sirius' hand, preparing to disapparate. "He'll be fine. He'll probably just pop back up."
Meanwhile Harry was floating in god knows where, screaming at the top of his lungs.
Oh. Yeah.
Yeah he was definitely fine.
...
Thoughts? I honestly typed that in like two hours. Bare with me.
