This is my surprise! :D You like? Well, the Elsa POV, not the-uh, content. And again, I don't hate Elsa. Got it?
Chapter 12
Elsa Arendelle
*Flashback*
I was sitting alone at the dance. Jack had just left. Hans came over and said, "My lady, may I have this dance?" He bowed.
I giggled nervously. "Um, sure." And I let him pull me onto the dance floor.
"You are a most marvelous dancer, you know?" He made conversation while we danced in the middle of the throngs of people.
"Thank you," I replied. "Anna and I practice all the time."
"I can tell." Hans pulled me closer to him. Uncomfortably close.
"Listen, I have a boyfriend-"
"Oh, really? What could he give to you that I don't have?" He pulled me out of the dance floor and into a shadowed area. And he-he kissed me. On the lips. And the sick thing was I . . . I liked it. He whispered in my ear, "I'm in love with you, Elsa. Not Anna, but you."
I shivered. "I told you, Hans, I have a boyfriend."
"Then tell me to stop. Pull away." But I couldn't. God damn it, Hans was a drug and I was addicted. "Be mine, Elsa. You don't care about him, do you?"
"I-I don't kn-know anymore." I was shivering so hard. He wrapped his arms around me and warmed me.
"I love you, Elsa."
"But this is considered cheating!" I finally had enough strength to push him away. "You're dating Anna, I'm dating Jack. It's cruel that you're cheating on my sister! And it's awful that I'm cheating, too!" I walked away, but he pulled me in again.
"I know you love me. And I know I love you." He kissed me again, and this time, I kissed him back.
*Flashback Over*
I walked down the hall. Glancing around, I darted into the janitor's closet.
"Hello there, my dear."
"Hey, Hans." I giggled as he kissed me. "Isn't Anna looking for you?"
"No, actually, she's with that nerd Olaf."
"Excuse me!" I pulled away from him indignantly. "Olaf is our cousin! You will not speak of him that way!"
"I'm sorry, Elsa," Hans apologized. He pulled me close to him again. "You know I didn't mean it." This time he kissed me more passionately, deeper.
"I know," I sighed, kissing him back. "But I have to go soon. Jack is walking me to Tech Ed."
"Why are you still with that guy?" Hans asked. "He's nothing but a jerk!"
"You're the jerk, Hans!" I cried, still managing to keep quiet. "He's sweet, kind, and handsome, and really knows how I feel. Why are you still dating Anna?"
"So I can get close to you." He kissed me again, his lips hungry for more.
"That's sweet of you, Hans. But I have to go now." I picked up my books and walked away.
He stood up quickly and caught me. He kissed my hair and my neck. "Okay. Now you can go. Goodbye, Elsa."
"Bye, Hans." And I left.
"Jack, please! Let me explain!" I wailed, chasing after him. He had just seen me and Hans kissing. We had been more careless this time, choosing to meet behind the group of huge potted plants and Jack had caught us.
"No! Why, Elsa?" Jack stopped me. "And you're lying to your sister, too?"
"Well, we were going to tell you and her, just-just at a better time, Jack," I said pathetically.
"When? When is the right time to tell someone you're cheating on them?" Jack paced back and forth. The bell rang. "Listen, Elsa. This thing between us, it's over. I actually thought you were different from all the other girls. Like you might actually like me. But I guess I was wrong." He walked away, leaving me dejected as I went to Tech Ed.
"Listen, Elsa, we'll be okay," Hans told me as we walked together. People were shooting us dirty looks. Hans pulled me closer. "We have each other, don't we?"
"And that's what matters." I blew a breath out. "I know, I know. I just-I feel really really bad doing this to my sister. She's gonna hate me forever."
"Anna's not going to-"
Oh. There she was. Anna stormed up to me. "Elsa! How could you?! I trusted you and you go and date my boyfriend behind my back?!" She turned to Hans. "And you!" She poked a finger at his chest. "I cannot believe you! I HATE BOTH OF YOU!" Then she stomped off.
Tears welled up in my eyes. "I'm sorry, Hans. I can't. I just c-cant't!" I ran away from him.
"Elsa!" he called after me. I ignored him and ran, everyone making a path for me. I ran out to the playground and climbed a tree. Not an easy feat in a dress, but I managed it. Everyone knew my secret now. I glanced up at the sky and saw that it was snowing. Tears flowed down my cheeks as I sagged against the tree's branches. I remembered when Anna and I were little, we used to make snowmen. And every snowman we made, we called him Olaf. He liked warm hugs. We always forgot to give him a nose before we went inside.
"Elsa, do you want to build a snowman?" I asked myself.
"Sure, why not, Elsa?" I climbed down from the tree and made a sad-looking snowman. "I'm sorry, Olaf!" I sobbed and threw myself at him. I stayed like that until I heard the bell ring and pulled myself together. "Goodbye, Olaf," I whispered as I re-entered the school, wiping the tears off my cheeks.
Sad chapter full of betrayal, but you know what this means, right? And don't worry, this story's going to have a happily ever after, don't worry! ;)
