Sorry this chapter's so short. I'll make the others longer, I promise!
Chapter 21
Jack Frost
I held up a dark, dark blue, almost black, suit up to my chest. "What do you think, Hic?" I asked my best friend. "Would this be good enough for Punzie?"
Hiccup looked up from a pile of white dress shirts. "Meh." He went back to looking.
I rolled my eyes and found plenty of blue tuxedos, jackets, suits, pants, etc. "I have to get Punzie," I groaned. "She's way better than me at this sort of stuff."
"I can't say the same about Merida," Hiccup said. He held a pile of suits and tuxes in his arms. "I'm probably better at this than her."
"Gay!" I said under my breath.
"Shut up. Let's just find the girls and get on with it, okay?" He glared at me from the side of the pile, since he was too short to see over it. I stifled a laugh and hung the suits' hangers on my arm.
"Okay. Let's go."
Punzie examined the suits. "They would look absolutely dashing on you, Jack," she told me. Her voice was joking, her eyes shining.
"I'm just trying to imagine you in your dress." I smiled at her. She smiled back and leaned in.
The kiss lasted for a while, but we pulled apart when we heard Merida yelling at Hiccup louder than normal.
"This shade a green es so hideous even mah GRANDMOTHER wouldn't wear this!" she screamed.
"Merida, I-I'm sorry! I must have picked it up by accident! I'm sorry, I'll help you pick something else out, I swear!" Hiccup cowered.
She crossed her arms. "Fine." Then she dragged him back to the men's section.
"Jack. Over here." Rapunzel grasped my chin gently and turned my face towards hers. "Look at these suits. Which one do you like best?"
I looked them over. Eventually, I chose a navy blue jacket, a light purple dress shirt, black slacks, and black dress shoes. "Does this look good?" I asked her nervously.
"Only one way to find out." She pushed me into the dressing room with the clothes I'd picked out. A few minutes later, I came out to show her how I looked.
"Wow, Jack! You look so-so amazing!" She kissed my cheek. "Now, what do you think of these?" She held up an armful of dresses.
"I think that you'd look good in any one of them, R."
"No, really look at them!"
"No, try them on!"
"Fine!"
"Good!" She went into the ladies' changing room, right next to the mens' one. She came out in a bright green dress with pink flowers. Then she tried on a light blue one with birds on it.
I even made a mental list. I was that bored. Here's the list of dresses she tried on in order:
A bright green dress with pink flowers on it.
A light blue dress with birds on it.
A dark purple dress with silver glitter on it that looked like stars.
A light pink dress with white roses on it and green leaves.
A turquoise dress with pink, pearl-shaped beads hanging in strands on the skirt.
A white dress with a red sash at the waist and a gold rose on one strap of the dress.
She asked me which one was my favorite. I said I had no idea which one. So she began contemplating which one to wear . . .
So, my dear readers, it's up to YOU, yes YOU, to decide what dress Rapunzel's going to wear! Choose one of the options above, and if you need more detail, just ask me and I'll give you my answer as soon as I can to the best of my abilities! Ciao!
