The steady pitter-patter hitting the window made Harmony want to drop her textbook and fall asleep on Remus' bed. Too bad it wasn't an option because she'd previously chose to do exactly that and procrastinated to the point of no return.
"Remus, I think I'm going to drop out." Harmony collapsed on his bed and curled up in a ball.
"I reckon we can take another ten." She could hear the laughter in his voice.
"How did you get all your homework done? How the fuck did you do it, Remus? What potion are you on?" Harmony flopped over onto her back and gazed at her friend who was sitting cross-legged, leaning against the bedpost.
"I didn't take naps or snog breaks."
"Bullshit." Harmony sang, scanning the top of the bed canopy.
"I speak truth."
Harmony sat up again. "What're you planning to do about Becca?"
Remus looked down awkwardly, blushing. "I wasn't really-"
Harmony sprang over to him. "You fancy her, correct?"
"I do but-"
"There is no but. You should take her on a date." Harmony told him firmly.
Remus looked up at her from under his eyelashes. "Harmony, we both know why I can't go out with her."
Harmony lifted an eyebrow. "Stop being noble and stop convincing yourself that you're worthless, Remus Lupin. She knows about your 'furry little problem', as James puts it, and she doesn't give a flying fuck."
"She's too good for me, Harmony." Remus sighed.
"No, she's not. If only you could hear how she talks about you in our dorm. Remus, she is head-over-heels for you. Please don't hurt her by not pursuing anything." Harmony told him sincerely.
Remus was quiet; he was thinking. Slowly a smile spread over his face. "You are the devil, Harmony Sea."
Harmony clapped, smiling. "Bring her to Hogsmeade this weekend!"
"We don't have a Hogsmeade-oh." Remus was grinning widely. "Rule-breaking, okay." Harmony stood up and grabbed his hands, making him stand on the bed, too. Then she started dancing ridiculously singing, "REMUS AND BECCA SITTING IN A TREE, K-I-S-S-I-N-G! FIRST COMES LOVE-"
The door burst open and Sirius and James entered, continuing the song with identical grins on their faces. "-THEN COMES MARRIAGE, THEN COMES A BABY IN THE BABY CARRIAGE."
Remus hopped down, blushing furiously. Sirius came over to the side of the bed and opened his arms, shouting loudly, "HARMFUL!"
Harmony whipped around dramatically and cried equally as loud, "PUPPY!" She jumped from the bed and into his arms, she sort of half landed on the ground but Sirius mostly held her around the waist.
Harmony kissed him and pulled away, only to have his hands grab her face and pull her back towards him. "Well then-" she was cut off by his lips. Next thing they knew, Sirius was leaning against the bedpost while they snogged, oblivious to James and Remus.
They weren't oblivious for long because suddenly a flash went off.
Harmony grabbed the curtain from the bed and used it to shield them from the others as her other hand slid up to tangle in Sirius' dark locks.
"LOOKS LIKE WE'LL HAVE A BABY FROM YOU TWO BEFORE REMUS AND BECCA!" James shouted.
Harmony broke the kiss and stuck her face around the curtain, "Fuck you."
She resumed her previous activity with Sirius as his hand brushed lightly down her neck.
"Really. I was under the impression you were fucking Padfoot." James commented, out of sight.
Sirius and Harmony both stilled their lips at the same time.
It was quiet.
Until Harmony snorted with laughter against Sirius' lips and soon everyone was in hysterics.
"It-" pant, "-wasn't even that-" pant, "-funny." Remus choked out, his honey brown eyes brimming with tears of laughter.
"James, I swear the first time you kiss Lily I would so yell in your ear and make inappropriate comments if it weren't for the fact that Lily is one of my best friends and I could never ruin the chance of that long-awaited relationship." Harmony told him.
Before James could respond, Peter came bursting in with his arms full of cookies.
"What the hell, Wormtail?" Sirius asked, half-laughing. "Why are you out of breath?"
"I ran here." He squeaked, dumping the cookies on his bed and collapsing on the ground next to it.
"Why?"
"Because if I walked then people would've stolen them." He gestured to the mound of half-crumbled cookies residing on his bed.
"I really doubt that." Harmony interjected. "But I do reckon it's pretty funny."
"I got some exercise, too." Pete declared, standing up and adjusting his jumper.
"Kind of defeats the purpose if you're going to eat all of the cookies, though." Remus said logically, flattening his tousled hair.
Peter's eyebrows furrowed. "Oh."
Harmony stood from where she sat on the floor. "Well, I really do need to do my homework. Farewell, assholes, minus Remus and Peter. And maybe Scruffy, too." Harmony cocked a hip. "So, goodbye asshole, Remus, Peter and the puppy dog over here."
"YOU WOUND ME SO." James cried dramatically, throwing his arms back and making the sleeve ends of his Quidditch jumper flop around.
Sirius pouted. "Going so soon?"
"I want to graduate next year."
"Are you implying you'd rather graduate than snog me right now?"
Harmony raised an eyebrow. "Uh, yeah."
"Fine, I'll walk you out then, Miss-Graduation-Before-Snog-ation." Sirius crossed his arms playfully. Harmony rolled her eyes at his complete and total lack of rhyming.
They stepped out onto the landing outside the boys' dorm room. "I lied. I really do just want to stay with you." Harmony told him.
"Well I lied, too. I really do just want you to graduate or you'll regret it later and then take it out on me because I'm so irresistible."
Harmony snorted, then rolled her eyes again. "Yeah that's it. You got it spot on." she said sarcastically.
Sirius grinned and walked over to Harmony, encasing her against the wall. He hugged her around the middle tightly and she buried herself in the warmth and familiarity of his embrace.
"I'll be in the library if you need me, okay?" Harmony smiled, looking into Sirius' eyes before pulling away with her textbook in hand and making her way down the staircase.
Eleven o'clock rolled around and Harmony still hadn't returned from the library. Sirius forced open his heavy eyes, feeling much like a child because it was only eleven. He pushed himself up off the squishy armchair and stretched. He could hear the warm fire cackling and a couple quills still scratching on parchment from the otherwise silence of the room where students rushed to complete their homework assignments.
Sirius left the common room and walked through the quiet castle, with his hands in his pockets. He arrived at the dark and empty library, which was evidently closed.
"Harmony?" He called out softly.
He looked around the library for several minutes, becoming increasingly more panicked. Finally, tucked in the corner stood a lone table with a brunette teenage girl fast asleep and curled up in a little ball on the chair.
"Harmony," Sirius said gently, squatting down beside her and tucking her hair behind her ear.
Her eyes flickered open and focused on Sirius. "Hi." her voice cracked from sleep.
"It's just after eleven." He informed her. "How long've you been sleeping, love?"
"Uhm." Harmony lifted her head from the table and stretched her arms above her head. "I haven't the foggiest, actually. The library was open when I fell asleep, I believe."
"You should come up to bed." Sirius told her, watching as her hair tumbled down her back.
"Alright," she muttered, standing up and hugging Sirius.
"What's this for?"
"Because I really need a hug and I like you a lot." She said in his shoulder, eyes closing slowly again. "Plus I'm really tired."
"Let's go, then. By the way, how did you manage to stay in the library after it closed?" Sirius reached around her waist to pack up her textbooks and quills, as she was still clinging to him.
"Magic."
"Wow. Elaborate." Sirius snorted, "I would've never-" he stopped dead.
Harmony pulled back, eyes wide. "What was that?"
A noise had echoed around the library. Harmony scanned the shelves, but found nothing. Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a quick flash of movement. She groped the table for the wand and pointed it straight at the spot where she saw movement.
"Who's there?" She spat harshly.
No reply.
Sirius grabbed his wand and pulled Harmony behind him. She would've rolled her eyes at this action but more important things were on her mind.
They moved forward until they were in between two book shelves, and everything seemed quieter there.
Suddenly, Harmony whipped around at lightening speed, wand ignited with light, and came face to face with Severus Snape.
"Snape." She said.
Sirius was beside her in an instant. "What're you doing here, sneaking around?" Sirius hissed.
"It's the library. I have the right to be here as much as you do." He looked nervous, Harmony thought. Sirius backed them out from in between the narrow shelves and more out into the open floor.
"Yeah, not after it's closed, though, you git." Sirius said, not taking his eyes off of Snape.
Snape pushed his greasy hair out of his eyes and Harmony saw that his wand was clenched tightly in his hand by his side. "Why aren't you asking her-" he gestured harshly at Harmony with his free hand, "-the same questions?"
"Because she's not an untrustworthy slime ball like yourself." Sirius said. "And she was doing homework."
"Didn't look like it."
Harmony's jaw hit the floor. "Were you spying on me?"
Snape avoided her eyes. "No."
"What the fuck?" Harmony said in outrage. "Why?"
"No reason."
A thought dawned on Harmony. "My brother put you up to this."
Maybe it was because he felt bad for her, or because she was Lily's best friend, but he nodded slightly, not looking at her.
Harmony swallowed. Sirius tightened his grip on her hand. "Well tell him something for me, then, Snape."
He looked up at her, his pale skin a dramatic contrast to the dark library.
"You can tell him to stay the fuck away from me and my family because anyone who wants to pledge alliance to an evil snake can die for all I care. Oh, and congratulate him now that he's successfully shot a neat hole through our family." Harmony's voice broke. "And Snape? If you spy on me again I will ensure the you can no longer see."
She spun on her heals and grabbed her stuff off the table just as the stunning spell hit her in the centre of her back, making her fly backwards and hit a bookshelf. Books of all shapes and sized rained down on top of her, and a particularly large and heavy volume struck her over the head hard enough to make her disorientated for a few seconds.
She scrambled to her feet, and almost hit the ground again. Through her blurry vision, she saw Snape and Sirius viciously hurling spells at each other.
"Stop," she cried. It was pathetic, weak. Harmony held her self up by a nearby shelf and she cleared her throat. "STOP IT." She yelled, and just the effort of that made her head spin even more.
Sirius ducked as Snape's curse blew up a table, bits of wood flying everywhere. He retaliated by sending a nasty jinx back. Harmony groped the ground for her wand, as found it underneath the very volume that hit her atop the head.
"Petrificus Totalus!" She yelled with the last bit of her strength, and Snape was frozen on the ground.
Sirius whipped around and ran at Harmony. "Fuck, how badly are you..." He spotted some blood trickling down her hairline.
"Just a book-" Harmony said, and tried to get to her feet again. When she stood up for the second time, though, a wave of intense nausea went through her and she doubled over, trying not to vomit.
"Shit shit shit," Sirius said, and he scooped her up in his arms. "I'm taking you to the hospital wing."
"No. I'm fine. I don't want to make a big deal out of it, Sirius. It's nothing." Harmony protested.
"Hush." Sirius said, and she did, holding onto him tighter because truthfully her head did not feel okay right now.
Walking in silence, Harmony tried to wrap her mind around the fact that twenty minutes ago she was sleeping blissfully, and suddenly a whole bunch of crazy shit happened out of no where.
They arrived at the hospital wing and Madam Pomfrey was there in an instant after hearing the door open and close. "My goodness, what happened?"
"She got hit by a stunning spell in the back, I think, and she hit a shelf where one of the books fell on her head." Sirius said frantically.
"Why? What were you doing?" She said, outraged.
"Get Dumbledore, please." Sirius said politely as he could.
"Sirius," Harmony's alarmed voice said, "I'm going to vomit."
Sirius placed her down lightly as she emptied the contents of her stomach on the ground. Madam Pomfrey rushed to get a series of potions from her supply cupboard.
Harmony stood shakily and Sirius half-carried, half-guided her to the closest bed.
The nurse came hurrying back and told Harmony to drink several potions, some smoking and some not. It took all she had not to vomit them back up.
It was quiet for a couple minutes as Harmony drank the medicine and let it work in her body. Finally, she opened her eyes and said, "Can I have a glass of water, please?"
Harmony drank the entire cup, feeling better than she did a couple minutes ago. "Thanks."
"You had a pretty bad concussion, but the potions have taken away the pain and healed it. Your head will be sore for a couple of days, because you still have a very mild concussion, so don't do anything too crazy. What exactly happened?" The nurse said sternly.
"Please can you get the headmaster?" Sirius asked again.
"He should be here-"
"I am," said Dumbledore striding in wearing his night gown. "What happened?"
"I fell asleep in the library," Harmony started. "and I guess I missed when the librarian announced that it was closed because I was sleeping at the very back table."
"So I came down because she hadn't returned and we were packing up her things when we heard something - a noise - and it turned out to be Severus Snape lurking around in the library, spying on Harmony." Sirius explained.
"Why was he doing that?" The nurse asked.
Sirius looked at Harmony, and she at Sirius. They both looked at Dumbledore. He nodded, showing that he knew why Snape was spying on Harmony.
"Madam Pomfrey, would you mind refilling the water glass?" Dumbledore asked kindly.
She took the cup and walked out of earshot. Harmony continued, "I gave him a message to tell my brother, which mainly told him to stay away from me, and I might've threatened to take away his sight if he ever decided to spy on me again." Harmony but her lip, cursing herself for mouthing off to someone who she knew had a sensitive temper. "I guess Snape didn't like it because I turned around to grab my stuff and he shot a stunning spell at me."
"She hit bookcase and a whole bunch of books came down, and a big one hit her on the head-"
"Where is Severus now?" Dumbledore asked.
"He's petrified in the library." Harmony cut in. "My doing, not Sirius'."
Dumbledore nodded. "I will get his side of the story and he will be punished appropriately. However, you both seem to have a hard time remembering the curfew enforced for your own safety." He said gently, but firmly. "Both of you, please, keep it in mind. Now off you go, and I give you permission to make your morning classes off because of the injuries sustained."
Harmony let Sirius put his arms around her as they left the hospital wing. They could hear the nurse's protests at letting Harmony leave the wing so quickly.
They walked back to the common room in silence. When Harmony tried to go up to her own dorm, Sirius said, "Don't be silly."and guided her up the stairs to his dorm room.
"I'm really sorry." Sirius told her. "I should've-"
"It's not your fault, Sirius."
"But if I just-"
Harmony spun on Sirius and placed on finger over his soft lips. "It's okay. Really. I don't blame you at all. I'm the mouth piece here. Now, do you have a cloth because I'm fairly certain I have some blood on me."
"I'll get it." Sirius told her, hurrying off to the bathroom quietly.
Harmony removed her shoes slowly, tossing them out of tripping range. Then she unbuttoned her jeans, followed by her zipper. Just then, Sirius came out of the bathroom, a damp cloth in hand. He opened one of his drawers wordlessly, and tossed Harmony her favourite shirt of his to sleep in.
Like the gentleman he sometimes was, Sirius turned and faced the other direction while Harmony wiggled off her jeans and pulled off her shirt, replacing it with his.
After she was done, Harmony walked over to Sirius and wrapped her arms around him. "I'm decent." She announced. "Also, I appreciate that gentlemanly gesture, love."
He smiled a little, looking down. "It wasn't exactly my pleasure."
"I bet," Harmony smiled a little, too. "You're not missing out on much, so don't fret."
Sirius turned around in the one-sided embrace and made it a two-sided embrace. "How can you not see it, Harmony Sea?"
"Pun intended?" Harmony couldn't help but slide in. "Sorry."
"You really are beautiful." Sirius whispered.
"Fuck," Harmony groaned. "Why must you go all perfect on me again? You have these moments where I just want to decapitate you, and then I just want to press you against a wall and maul you, but I can't right now because my head hurts and I vomited just a little while ago and that's gross. Also, I'm tired and it's dark and most of all there are three other boys in this room sleeping. But I want to, Sirius, I do. By the way, I absolutely love it when you say things like that because it makes me feel noticed and appreciated and it brings my confidence up like twenty whole notches. So thank you." Harmony finished her little speech, her face still buried in his neck. She felt a combination of relief that she got that off her chest and slight embarrassment. "I hit my head." She said stupidly.
"You're adorable." He declared, pulling away and guiding her over to the bed, smiling a lot.
She smiled and sat down, as he started to dab the blood off her skin. With one hand he held the cloth, and the other he guided her chin. Some things were better done the muggle way.
Harmony pretended to draw and trace pictures on his muscular stomach, and every couple of moments he would jump because she'd hit a rather ticklish spot, and she'd laugh lightly. "I think you're pretty cute, too."
He grinned, flashing that white wall of teeth. "I'm glad you think so." Sirius brought the cloth down from the top of her head. He used his wand to clean the cloth, and it turned back to its original white colour.
"Thanks," she said, "but could I use your wand for a moment?"
"Sure," he handed it to her and she took it to the bathroom, where she summoned her toothbrush and proceeded to wash her mouth of vile.
"Now, can I kiss you?" Sirius asked. "Just a quick one."
"If you insist," Harmony smiled, tucking her hair behind her ear and walking softly closer to him.
His hands found themselves holding her by the curve of her hips as they kissed for a few moments.
Harmony pulled away. "I'm sorry," she said, "but I'm really tired, pup."
"That's okay," he smiled gently and pulled her over to the warm and inviting bed.
Harmony collpasped, curling herself into a ball underneath the covers, Sirius' body wrapping around hers.
It was quiet for a few minutes, just the sounds of the fellow marauder's breaths mixed with Harmony's.
"Sirius?" Harmony whispered.
"Yeah?" He whispered back.
"I can't sleep but I'm exhausted."
Sirius moved closer to her, if that was possible. "Let's chit chat, then, shall we?"
"Okay." Harmony agreed. She reached up and brushed his hair back from his eyes for him. "What about?"
"I don't know."
"Wow, Sirius. You're so good at starting conversations I almost can't stand it." Harmony replied sarcasticlly.
He snorted. "Well, how about that ball dance thingy Dumbledore decided to have?"
"Yeah, right, that notice in the common room. You should have seen Tianna's face, Sirius, I swear she actually licked her lips and scanned the common room for a victim to corner and then force to take her to the bloody thing. Poor bloke, whoever that might end up to be."
Sirius laughed. "Could you imagine? She'll scar him for life, even if she doesn't take her shirt off. But then again, she probably will and he'll cower at that acne covered chest."
Harmony burst out laughing, regardless of the pain in her head. "Good one." They propped fists under the blanket.
"So," Sirius started. He sounded slightly nervous.
"Yeah?"
"Well, I actually had this whole thing half-planned out...but I didn't know when to do it..." Sirius sat up and reached over to the night stand beside the bed.
Harmony sat up too, curious. She was so tired that the movement left her dizzy.
Sirius turned back around. He looked so flawless, smiling and showing off his perfect teeth, those grey eyes bright in the moonlight, his hair tousled just the right amount, his broad shoulders and toned chest and stomach. Harmony's eyes slid down his arms to see what was clutched in his strong hands; a long, beautiful rose.
Her eyes found his again, and she was already smiling. He continued, "Want to go to this bloody ball dance thingy with me, Harmony Sea?"
She didn't even have to think. "Fuck yeah, I do." They grinned at each other for a quick moment, before Harmony took the rose he offered her and put it carefully on her pillow.
Ignoring the pain in her head, Harmony leaned over and kissed him. Sirius kissed her back.
Harmony pulled her lips away but remained close to Sirius. "I get to see you in a white button down."
"I always wear them under my uniform, you know." Sirius trailed his fingers down her back.
"Believe me, Sirius, I know. But for some odd reason I never get to actually see them on you." Harmony pouted childishly.
"Because you'd display inappropriate behaviour in class. And also there are first years running around the halls." Sirius sighed.
"This is true." Harmony whispered, eyes already back on Sirius' lips.
"You should sleep," Sirius whispered, as Harmony leaned in again.
"Who needs sleep when you've got a Sirius Black?" Harmony grinned wickedly in the dark.
Sirius sat there stunned for a few seconds, finally closing his mouth. "That's probably one of the best things you've ever said to me."
"You keep track?"
"I commit them to memory so I can pretend to re-live them." Sirius replied. "Also, for the bloody ball dance thingy I get to see you in a dress."
Harmony rolled off Sirius. "Yeah, I guess you do."
"I have some requests." Sirius cleared his thoat.
"Go on then," Harmony said shutting her eyes, but still listening with a grin on her face.
"Something that shows off your collarbones and maybe a little bit of the erm...chest area." Sirius put his puppy dog eyes on her.
"Getting ballsy, aren't you?" Harmony snorted. "We'll have to see, Black. You're such a dog." She added, jokingly.
"I've heard I resemble a canine sometimes." Sirius told her, while she laughed.
They continued their fun banter for a couple more minutes, until Harmony really could not stay awake. She tangled their legs together and rested her cheek on his chest. "Goodnight, you, I think I can sleep now." Harmony's eyes flickered shut.
Sirius kissed Harmony's soft cheek sweetly and slung and arm around her waist under the blanket. "I reckon we'll have a bit of a lie in, yeah?"
"YES," Harmony said forcefully. They laughed quickly, and finally the last wisps of consciousness slipped from Harmony's body, leaving her dreaming in Sirius' arms.
"I don't want to get up." Harmony complained to Sirius as the light streamed through the window, making her hair glow.
The two of them were still buried under the covers, limbs tangled up. "Classes start in 20 minutes."
Harmony groaned, then laughed. "What are the chances of us getting up exactly 20 minutes before we're due in class?"
"Pretty lucky, aren't we?" Sirius smiled, rubbing his eyes. "How's your head, by the way?"
"Better." She relied, literally rolling off the side of the bed and and landing on the floor. Such techniques were needed to fully awaken someone like Harmony Sea. She stood up slowly, her mass of dark hair sticking out everywhere. "Oh, fuck."
Sirius watched her from the bed. "I quite like your hair."
"Yeah, really." Harmony walked over to the mirror and attempted to flatten her curls. Finally she gave up and scanned the dresser for any of her ponytail elastics left behind from previous times.
"A ponytail day?" Sirius asked, getting out of bed and walking over to the shared dresser. He pulled out a dress shirt at random, followed by some pants and a pair of socks.
"How do you know those are yours?" Harmony turned around and walked over to Sirius.
"I don't." He tugged on the hem on the shirt Harmony was wearing, brushing her thigh.
"Don't you fucking start, Sirius Black, we have like 15 minutes left," Harmony warned. "And besides, I have to piss like a racehorse."
A couple minutes later, Harmony emerged from the bathroom with a clean face, teeth, and empty bladder. Sirius was fully dressed in his robes and was grabbing all of his school supplies at random and tossing them in his bag.
She quickly summoned her uniform and school bag and sloppily used her wand to switch clothes instantly. Her shoes ended up on the wrong feet, the buttons mismatched on her shirt, and her kilt twisted to the side. "Bloody rushing." She muttered.
"Harms, where's the toothpaste?" Sirius called from the washroom.
"Next to the towel!" She called back, switching shoes again.
Ten minutes later they were seen positively sprinting down the hallway, desperately trying to make it to the History of Magic class on time.
A shrill bell rang out as Harmony and Sirius turned the corner. Everyone in the class was seated and prepared to sleep when the door crashed open to reveal a disheveled and out of breath pair of classmates. "Sit down, please, Mr Black and Miss...Shy."
Harmony rolled her eyes at her professor's lack of remembrance for her name and plopped down in the desk next to Sirius. "We made it." She breathed, double high-fiving Sirius.
The old professor started to drone on, and Harmony turned back forward to see all seven of her mates staring at her, some gaping.
"Where the fuck have you two been?" Liven asked.
"Erm-" Harmony and Sirius said at the same time.
"Did you spend the morning shagging?" James asked, hiding a grin. Lily hit him.
"No!" Harmony cried, fighting off a blush.
"Is that-is that blood in your hair?" Lily leaned in and inspected Harmony's head.
"Oh, fuck-" she turned to Sirius who looked as stuck as she did.
"It was dark! I could barely see where I was cleaning, I must've missed it-" He apologized.
"This happened last night?" Lily quizzed. Her green eyes were a mixture of confusion and anger.
Harmony sighed. "Shoot, Sirius."
He told the wide-eyed group what happened. Harmony didn't want to hear it again, because she was doing a very good job of shoving all thoughts of her brother to the back of her mind, until then.
After he'd finished Becca started to talk a million words a second. "BECCA! Calm the fuck down! It's all done and over with." Harmony told her.
"That's why Snape wasn't in class this morning, either!" James cried. "I should've known."
"Anyway, let's not talk about this anymore, yeah?" Sirius suggested, feeling the impending bad mood radiating off of Harmony.
"Sorry," James said. He smiled weakly at Harmony, and she repeated him.
Everyone broke off into little conversations again, and Harmony pulled out her notes, because getting good grades didn't come from doing absolutely nothing. "You're really going to copy notes, Harmful?"
"Yes, Sirius." She sighed, but a smile gave her away.
He dragged his chair closer to hers and brought his hand up, tucking a lone curl that had fallen out of her ponytail behind her ear. His fingertips lingered on her jaw line. "Hey, are you okay?"
"Yeah," she replied, trying to pay attention to the professor but failing.
"Are you sure?"
She looked at him, and couldn't lie. "Not really. But I'll get over it. Give me a little while to be sad, and I'll be fine by the end of the period." Harmony's eyes flickered to her blank piece of parchment. "Hopefully."
Sirius kissed her cheek. "Okay." He agreed. "Just let me know if you want to talk."
"Thank you." She smiled, gratefully, green-brown eyes meeting his stormy silver ones. "I really do appreciate how much you care, Sirius."
He winked at her. "Shh, I've got a badass reputation to uphold."
"Yeah, alright." Harmony laughed lightly, feeling slightly better already. Her hand started to move, writing notes, as Sirius laid his head down on the desk. Harmony felt Sirius brush his fingertips against hers under the desk, the gesture meaning, Even though my eyes are closed, I'm still paying attention. Harmony shook her head and let a small smile grace her lips.
A/N: Yay, I finally got a macbook so all this bullshit of typing on my iPhone won't occur again :)
