Thanks for the reviews and I've decided to not make Sam anorexic. She already has been going through that but that doesn't mean that she'll never have issues with food again. Just saying. Enjoy
SAM's POV
"Hey Sam, can I come sit next to you and eat lunch with you?" Asked Freddie.
Am I imagining things right now? Is he really asking to eat lunch with me? At first I thought it was a joke, from the minute he was on his way here. Maybe it isn't a joke, he seems serious. But he can also be a great actor and pulling some kind of prank. Either way I just don't trust him.
"Sam?"
Should I let him? Maybe I'll get to know another side of him. The sweet side that he's been hiding from me for the past six years.
"U-uh Sure."
"Thanks."
He took a chair and sat next to me.
"Why are you doing this? I mean, this has never happened before. What has changed you?"
"Don't you mean who?"
"I don't understand."
"Look, I've been a jerk to you. I am trying to make that up to you. Since that night, since that look on your face…I don't know I just have never seen you so scared of me before."
"That's because you almost stabbed me. And did it took you so long to realize that I'm scared of you? I mean, you enjoyed it. You were having fun and you didn't care at all."
"I know, once again, I'm sorry for what I did to you. I was stupid and I know now that your family has nothing to do with my father's death."
"Freddie, I've been telling you that for the past six years and you didn't believe me. Who convinced you? Cause I didn't."
"My mom."
"Your mom? She knows what happened back then?"
"Yeah. I don't know if you know, but my family were close friends with yours. So were we."
"N-no, you're lying!"
"I am not! I swear I'm not lying. Just ask your mom and you'll see that I'm right."
"Okay then. Imagine, you and I, five years old and great friends. How did we lose that friendship?"
"Because I was so stupid to blame you for my father's death."
"And Why don't I remember any of it."
"We were little kids Sam. Of course we won't remember."
"This is so weird."
"I know. Sam, do you think that we could start over?"
"S-start over?"
"Yeah, maybe trying to be friends."
"Freddie, you don't have to expect that because we were once friends that we can be now. What you did to me, it's still there. The pain, the memories are still there. It's not something that I'll forget."
"I understand."
"If I give you a chance to prove yourself, that doesn't change the fact that others hate me. They'll still torment me."
"I'll deal with it. And Sam, you really should eat your lunch."
"I know, but some girl made a comment about it."
"Ignore it. You've been through an illness, don't let some stupid girl lecture you on what you're eating. Eating healthy is the most important thing."
"Can't believe that I'm saying this but thanks."
"You're welcome. Uh Sam, we have to go to class in like 10 minutes. So, see you later."
"Uh yeah. See you later."
He stood up and went to his locker. I couldn't believe this. We were once friends? That's just too surreal. But giving him a chance? I don't know. I guess I have to make baby steps. I just hope his friends won't do anything to me because I'm giving him a chance.
FREDDIE's POV
I could not believe what kind of a conversation I had with Sam. I just hope that she'll give me a chance so that I can make up for what I've done to her. I was at my locker about to get my biology book until someone slapped my locker shut.
"What the – "
"Shut it, Benson!"
"Brad? WTH are you doing?! You could've hurt my hand, real bad!"
"Ooh boo-hoo. I saw you talking to Sam at lunch." Said Carly.
"Yeah, so. Btw where is the rest of the group?"
"They're just outside. Me and Brad wanted to talk to you alone."
"About?"
"Sam." They both said.
"Guys, whatever you have to say about her, just say it so I can get it over with."
"Fine. You can't hang with her. Why are you with her all the time?" Carly asked me.
"Yeah, first I thought you were going to prank her or something. But this seems serious." Brad said.
"Of course it's serious. Guys, I'm just trying to make things right with her. That's all."
"Oh, so you broke up with me just because you wanted to make things right with her?"
"No, I broke up with you because you're obnoxious."
"Ooohhhh Carls."
"Freddie! This isn't you!"
"It certainly is me. And could you guys stop disturbing her? She already has a low self-esteem so knock it off, would ya. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go to class."
CARLY's POV
"Can you believe him?"
"I know, this is not the Freddie we know."
"Yeah and this is all Sam's fault."
"Agreed. We are not going to leave her alone, are we?"
"Of course not. She stole my Freddie and I'll make her pay for it. Big time."
