Tomorrow's Son
First Date.
As Hinata was leaving for her date with Naruto, she was stopped by here father.
"Young Lady," declared Hiashi in a demanding tone, "I know that you are going on a date with the Naruto boy. He's hardly worthy of dating the Hyūga heiress."
"Why not," demanded Hinata with a boldness that surprised both of them.
"He's an orphan," answered Hiashi, "That means he lacks the breeding…
"Breeding!" interrupted Hinata, "He's the son of the 4th Hokage, how's that for breeding?"
"That's not the point," said Hiashi who was surprised at his oldest daughter."
"I'll tell you what," declared Hinata, "You let me have what I want, and I'll gladly give you what you want."
"What would that be?" demanded Hiashi.
"If you let me date Naruto, and we end up getting married," declared Hinata, "We will for go the usual wedding agreement that would allow me to remain in the Hyūga clan. In that case upon marrying Naruto, I will become a member of the Uzumaki clan and Hanabi will automatically become the Hyūga heiress. I'll even formally give Hanabi tokens of Hyūga heir at the reception."
"So you are willing to give up your entire inheritance for that boy?" asked Hiashi.
"Every last dime," answered Hinata, "All I will take will be my personal possessions."
"Deal," responded Hiashi, "As long as I get Hanabi as the Hyūga heiress, you'll have blessing."
Hinata left amazed at just how easy it was, but then again she had given her father an offer he could refuse.
When Naruto met Hinata for their lunch date he had only one thing to say, "Wow!"
He then added, "You look nice!"
After they arrived at Ramen Ichiraku, they ordered.
"So where's Jiraiya?" asked Ayame.
"Well, he's around some place" said Naruto, "We're actually here on a date."
"Well Hinata," responded Ayame, "Glad to see you finally got this boy to notice you."
"Well," relied Hinata blushing, "It wasn't that hard."
It only took our son from the future, thought Hinata.
As they ate Naruto and Hinata talked. Ayame was surprised at how at ease Hinata and she was glad to see it.
Mean wile from a hidden location Jiraiya was watching Naruto and Hinata, when suddenly there came a coughing sound behind him. He turned to see Sakura.
"What are you doing?" asked Sakura.
"Making sure my folks' date goes well," said Jiraiya, "I kind of have a vested interest in this going well."
"Do you know how sic and wrong this is?" asked Sakura, "Particularly you being their future son and all."
"Come on Sakura," responded Jiraiya, "You can't tell me that you're not even a little curious."
"Well," responded Sakura, "Maybe a little, move over."
However as they did, the Jiraiya fell on the ground and Sakura fell on top of him. As a result they accidentally kissed. Strangely enough neither made an effort to end it immediately. When the finally parted they were both blushing, but neither one said any thing.
"So does your Old Man know?" asked Naruto.
"Yes," replied Hinata, "But he took some convincing."
"What did you do?' asked Naruto.
"Simple," answered Hinata, "My Father always wanted my sister Hanabi as the Hyūga heiress rather than me. However he can't just disinherit me. The only way Hanabi becomes heiress is for me to marry outside the Hyūga clan without a special agreement. In that case I would become a member of my husband's clan. So when we get married I will become a member of the Uzumaki clan and Hanabi will automatically become the Hyūga heiress."
"I get it," responded Naruto," I think."
"These last few days have been really amazing," said Naruto, "You've certainly have come a long way. A few days ago we could have never have talked like we are now."
"It's amazing what a little information from the future can do for your life," responded Hinata with a smile.
When they finished Naruto and Hinata said good by to Ayame.
"Well you two come back now," said Ayame, "Particularly together."
After walking around for a while talking Naruto and Hinata encountered Jiraiya, who had an odd look on his face.
"So what's up?" asked Naruto.
"Ah…ah…," said Jiraiya with hesitation, "Absolutely nothing."
Even Naruto could see something was up with him.
"So now that the threat is over and me and Hinata are together" said Naruto, "When are you going home. Not that I'm trying to get rid of you."
"Well something has come up," responded Jiraiya, "and I want to see were it will go."
When Naruto and Hinata arrive at the Hyūga home, they stood there for a moment not sure she wanted it to end. After a while Naruto realized that one of them needed to say good by.
"Well, good by, I'll see you tomorrow," said Naruto "May we can find out what's up with Jiraiya." Then he leaned in and kissed Hinata on the lips. When they parted after some time Hinata was blushing deeply.
"Well," said Naruto "At least I can still make you blush."
As Naruto walked away Hinata stood there motionless for a time before going in.
When Naruto arrive at home he found a rather nervous looking Jiraiya.
"OK son, What's going on." demanded Naruto in full father mode not even knowing it. He even glared at Jiraiya with a look he knew well from his Father that told him he better tell the truth.
"Well it's like this," said Jiraiya blushing in a manner reminiscent of Hinata, "I… think I've fallen in Love."
Naruto just laughed, "Is that all. Why are you so embarrassed about it," he finally said.
"Well, you see it's…" said Jiraiya,"It's… Well it's Sakura."
"OK," responded Naruto, "This takes the like father like son bit to a whole new level of creepy."
The next day at the Hokage's office, Tsunade met with Naruto, Hinata, Jiraiya and Sakura.
"Grandma Tsunade," asked Jiraiya, "Could I stay in this time period, rather than taking the return trip?"
"Why? Your mission is over," inquired Tsunade.
"Well it's like this…" answered Jiraiya with hesitation and looking over at Sakura, "Sakura and I have fallen in love and I want to stay here with her."
Naruto, Hinata and Tsunade just glared at Jiraiya and Sakura.
"What?!" Naruto finally exclaimed, "Sakura, after turning me down 571 times you fall for my son from the future."
"What do you care," responded Sakura, "You're dating Hinata now."
"True," responded Naruto, "but it's a huge surprise."
"We'll," responded Tsunade looking at Naruto, "I suppose as long as the Hokage that sent you on this mission is OK with it, then it's OK with me."
After along pause Hinata jabbed Naruto in the side.
"Ho," Naruto finally responded. "You mean me. I don't have a problem with it, particularly if it keeps Sakura from becoming a psycho old maid."
Sakura gave Naruto the look she normally gave him before sending him flying
I was just saying you won't become the psycho version of yourself we buried in the cemetery, and not you," continued Naruto, "This is going to take some getting use to though. After all it's a little hard to imagine Sakura as my daughter in law."
After the laughter died down Hinata aksed, "Jiraiya, can I expect to always have to keep nudging Naruto like that?"
"Yes," answered Jiraiya," but he does get better with time."
