This chapter i'm going to make Natsu seem less OCC. -.- enjoy~!
I was just thinking of of making an "entire guild" in the heat of the moment, but now that I think about it, I have no idea where to start. Guild name? Guild location? Guild members? I have no idea what to do.
Without realizing it, my feet brought me to the guild doors of Fairy Tail. I smiled at a memory that seeped into my brain.
"Ehh? What did you say Flamebrain?!" A certain ice-mage yelled.
"Humph, you heard what I said! No one like to see your naked butt!" The boy roared out fire.
"By the way Gray, where are your clothes?" Cana sighed. The young boys argued at each other in the middle of the guild as laughter erupted into the happy crowd that was chuckling and the fun-filled fight.
"Hey Luce!" Natsu grinned at me. I let out a small smile as I walked toward the seat where my teammates were sitting. "You wanna go on a mission today?" Natsu said happily at me.
"Aye!" A small blue cat answered. "We found one that has enough money to pay your rent!" Happy held out a paper that (indeed it was enough to pay my rent) was a nice price, but seemed suspicious.
"Hunt for bandits in the middle of a forest...requested by a person who lives in the woods. Why would bandits be in the middle of a forest?" I asked suspiciously.
"Can I come too?" Lisanna smiled at us.
I was about to reply to my best friend when Natsu cut me off, "Sure!" He grinned. Lisanna smiled and told us she was going to pack her stuff.
A few hours passed and Natsu practically died on the train. His head was lying on Lisanna's lap as she hummed happily and stroked Natsu's hair. I though it was a little too affectionate for a childhood friend, but I brushed my uneasiness off. On the other hand, I felt like something was following me.
I thought about what happened on that particular mission, the mission where it all started, and I didn't even notice when a strong hands came from behind and gripped the guild doors that were in front of me. I nonchalantly looked behind myself to see a pair of strong cold blue eyes staring back at me. "Gray..." I unconsciously said, letting my cold hard exterior break away momentarily.
"Luc-Wait. Sorry, I must have mistaken you for someone else. Are you here to join the guild?" He said calmly. I can't believe how different his attitude it. The old Gray would have shoved me aside and would have barged in challenging Natsu to a fight, but how did he even suspect me? I didn't even tell him what my name was. Must be my way of speaking has not changed. I mentally slapped myself to cover up my soft naive interior self.
"Oh me? No. I have already_" I started before I saw Erza walking down the road with her usual luggage behind her.
"Oh Gray! Already back from your three month mission?" Erza asked, not even noticing me and my swelling up feelings.
"U-uh yea." He shrugged. Three months?! "I think i'll go on another one..."
"Already?" Erza asked, clearly worried. "Shouldn't you rest for a few weeks?"
Gray was having an awkward conversation with Erza like they had just met not too long ago. What happened here? Gray and Erza didn't notice, but I could see Juvia peeking at us from behind the bushes. She didn't look she was totally in love any more. More like she was worried about Gray. It's hard to believe my closest friends were right in front of me and I can't even talk to them. They can't notice me. I was not paying attention until I heard a line in Gray and Erza's conversation, "You can't blame yourself for what happened to the guild Gray..." Erza said kindly, "for what happened to Natsu...and for Lucy."
I put on a no emotion face before going into deep thought. What happened to the guild? To Natsu? To me?
"Oh sorry my rudeness. Who might you be?" Erza said politely.
"U-Uh i'm..." I mumbled.
"Lu-uh..Lulu-san!" I heard Wendy yell. Everyone stared at Wendy wide eyed.
"Lulu?" Gray asked in bewilderment.
Juvia came out of the bushes. "I thought you might have heard of the news Gray-sama...this is our new member of Fairy Tail. Lulu Heartfilia."
Erza went white as a sheet of paper. "H-Heart-Heartfilia?"
Just then, the door flew open and a fellow in pink hair walked out.
"YOU! WITCH LADY! I DEMAND A REMATCH." Natsu yelled. I glared at him without a second thought before attempting to slap him.
Natsu's POV
Her attempt to slap me was lousy and uncoordinated. I was going to take the advantage and take her off guard before I smelled the familiar salty scent of tears. I momentarily looked at her dazed before I felt the contact of her leaning against my body, attempting to muffle her sobs. "N-natsu.." I heard her wisper. "I-i've missed you...so much..." She continued to cry. I felt the urge to put my arms around her and comfort her, but a sharp pain echoed through mind.
She jolted away from me and acted as though nothing happened, "Wendy, lets go." She said not turning around.
Erza and Gray stared at me and both said,"You've got some explaining to do."
Lucy's POV
I enjoyed the fact that Wendy was kind enough to not ask questions, it makes me realize how considerate she is. When I suddenly grabbed onto Natsu, I don't know what I was thinking. I just missed my old friends. Just seeing them all together again just made a wave of happy and sad memories crash into me.
I now know there is something wrong with Natsu. I could feel his arms positioning to hug me, but them he stopped and I saw him wince in pain. Whatever it was, I have made up my mind to investigate it, and I'm sure it started when we took that mission. That mission that changed Natsu.
I tried to make this chapter touchy, but I just now think its weird. Lucy's emotions are going wild. Is she really ready to let Natsu go? Is she really ready to throw away all those memories of them? Is she ready to move on? I've changed the ENTIRE story. The conflict, climax, and resolution have all changed. First it was person vs person (natsu vs lucy) but now i've decided to COMPLETELY change it. The themes that are shown throughout the story will also be tweaked. I want to add more emotion so chapter 1 might be revised.
REVIEW!
