Chapter Last! Finally

Most of you will think that yes, this chapter is unconnected disorganised. I can neither deny nor agree. I had been planning this sort of an ending since chapter 5 or so. So no, I am not gonna alter it. I know I haven't been that much of a writer who give you wonderful guys a deserving end.

But I hope that it suffices:

Years Later

"Annabeth, have you seen Lily?"

Percy stuck his head inside her kitchen. He repeated the question but stopped mid-way, "Anna- what were you doing?"

He saw Annabeth quickly turned around her eyes wide trying to feign calm composer. "Show me your hands, dear?" he asked curiously. He knew she was hiding something. Luckily Annabeth was saved the trouble of replying by a girl's shrill voice.

"Daddy, see what I made you!"

Percy looked at his little girl's bright features and gladly took the card out of her hands. "Thanks Lily! Let's see what you have made for me," he said bending down to her level.

With her tiny hands she flicked one side of the card impatiently. "See, I made you the waves and sand; the shells and the starfish. Mama helped me a bit."

"She did!" Percy fake exclaimed looking at Annabeth; he gave her a knowing look. And laughed when she turned beet root.

"Lily, papa loves you," he said giving his daughter a tiny peck on her cheek.

"Ish!" Lily made a face and pushed his face away. "Get your whiskers away from me," and made to run away. But Percy scooped her up and spun her around. "Papa, put me down! Mama tell papa to put me down."

"Wanna join us Annabeth?"

Annabeth tentatively put a foot forward.

Percy had often asked her why she didn't open up to them at all. The answers were all a bit haphazard.

When she had first suggested they be away from each other, he hadn't liked it, but he had to respect her wishes. But it was during that time that Annabeth got to know that she had conceived. That led to a whole lot of tension between them. They weren't even dating in the first place. Then they had an unplanned intercourse. Then this news came and Percy had blown up. He always had a short fuse. They had this huge argument and in her temper she said that fine, she would get that damned foetus aborted. Of course Percy was against it and had- without thinking- ordered her basically to never even think of that wretched ungodly think. Yeah later he had apologised and told her she could do whatever she wanted. Later Annabeth had told him that after the baby was out, she would be out his life. Also, that he could keep his baby with himself if he so wanted because Annabeth had nothing to do with it.

In a nutshell, yeah they pretty much screwed up.

And after Lily came, life, well it didn't take a 180 degree but it still turned a good 45 degrees round for them. Percy still had those feeling for Annabeth (whipped, Jason told him) and Annabeth still loved-hated him, again.

So she never left but just didn't show her appreciation for them. Well, she did to Lily when he wasn't around and they basically lived in one home.

All was fine. He had his singing and she had her architecture. They both had their Flower. And just because you asked, you know, yes, he still had the gun and that entire macho man aura...

So when she came towards them, beet root he lightly put his arm on her shoulder, one which she could easily shake off.

"Mummy made a surprise for you, daddy. We had a competition to see who made you a better gift. Mama, show him your gift."

Percy turned his head to this particular development. Well, sure he hadn't expected his family (because they were the only ones close to him in reality) to celebrate his 26th birthday. He gulped. He certainly didn't anticipate Annabeth's gift. Beside him he could hear Lily's constant orders to show them her gift (Like mother, like daughter. They are too into the competition).

Annabeth finally gave up and raised her hands in surrender, "Okay fine! Let's just get this thing over and done with." Percy didn't miss her smile. Also, interestingly he didn't expect the following turn of events.

Annabeth took something off the counter, came back and sat down on one knee.

Yes you read that right, fella amigos.

...came back and sat down on one knee...

"I know this is uncalled for," she started. "And I know we had had a lot of differences and unsettled disputes. And I know there is a huge possibility that you will reject me and I ..I," she wiped her eyes with her sleeve. "And I know that I am wrong but I love you Oh my Gods! So much and I... I wanna have another Lily with you... I mean, not now but somewhere in the future. And all that Oly[ian mess sorted out..." Annabeth blinked out the tears in her eyes and tried to start again. "Perseus Jackson, I love and I will never run away from you and will you please." She pulled out a sheet of paper and held it across me.

"PLEASE MARRY ME?"

She looked up hopefully to him and Percy, like the idiot he is rambled, "Oh my Goods! I am gonna say yes!"

"Are you serious?" asked Annabeth.

He swooped down to her level and hugged her and leaned down to kiss her.

Then his daughter interrupted, "Weren't you already married?"

And all the stress, and relief and everything which had been bottled up for so long just erupted into tears of joy and happiness.

All Percy could do was to shout, "Family hug" as he leaned down to kiss Annabeth again with their daughter in his arms.
