Yes. I know. No need to faint. It's here! Also I am trying to finish 2 subjects this week so don't worry if you don't hear from OR for another week.

She'd almost expected him to be heavy. He'd certainly acted it, fingertips twitching laboriously as though encased in lead gauntlets. She tensed, readying her muscles as she reached to grasp him, but it was no strain to catch him: she swayed in shock, slowing down and losing precious moments as she adjusted to his lightness as she fled from the room.

Hah. Had they honestly, honestly expected her to stay!

The hallways of Mount Justice were a maze, and even living there M'gann didn't know everything that it had to offer. She ran for the widest hallway, and turned into an even wider one when it opened to her right. These would lead to the exit bay where her bioship was held, and Mount Justice's primary exit was.

But no! Upon pressing the button to open the bay doors, the command center would blink for twenty seconds, hidden machinery ground for another thirty, and only then, when the Justice League would have caught up, would the door begin to open.

M'gann paused in her flight, searching for a new idea. The hand not grabbing Danny pushed into her forehead as she thought hard.

Hello Megan! M'gann battered herself on the head for her stupidity. The answer was easy! The backdoor entrance towards Happy Harbour had no door: it was always open.

She smiled down at Danny. "We're going to get out of here," she said.

Danny stared up, blearily, as though he wasn't quite sure what he was seeing. M'gann didn't allow that to bother her. She got to the back entrance without anyone intercepting her – something which was kind of odd, and she sent her teammates a million praises as she floated up the rocks and stumbled onto the road to Happy Harbour.

There were cars in the distance.

"Danny?" She asked, shaking him. He groaned and leaned into her shoulder. "Danny? We've got to change... people will see us and I really don't want anyone blogging about how they saw some superheroes on the side of the road."

It would spoil the secrecy thing she had going on.

"C'mon, Danny we need to get going," she pleaded. "And your glowing is going to get us noticed. Can you... go back to human?" she asked.

Danny frowned, seriously considering the matter and she held her breath. A after a moment of frowning, he nodded. Light danced over his skin – and then he was human-Danny, pink-skinned, wearing a white shirt and blue trousers.

M'gann laughed with relief.

Danny blinked, and got to his feet steadily.

"You okay?" M'gann asked.

Danny frowned at his hands. "Yeah..." he murmured. "Fine, actually."

"Maybe it's the ghost mode that was slowing you down?" M'gann asked.

Danny nodded. "I think so." He peered up at the sun-baked side of Mount Justice and swallowed. "What are we going to do now?" he asked.

M'gann shrugged, and crossed her arms. She really didn't know what to do. Was this how he felt, stranded in a vaugely familiar world, without support? "I don't know. I... Our friends are back there. I'm going to call Artemis. See if... see if she knows what to do."

A shadow fell into Danny's eyes as he looked to the ground. "Alright," he said quietly.

They set off – on foot because the cars were closer now – close enough to see the people inside of them. M'gann's gaze glittered to the the mountain, here eyes full of worry. All anyone would need to do is view an external camera and they'd be found.

"We can't do this," She muttered, glancing at Danny. He followed her gaze to the mountain.

"I'll turn us invisible," he decided.

Before he could, a car slowed down next to him, crunching the gravelly shoulder. M'gann stepped closer to Danny. The windows – too reflective to see into – wound down and a familiar face peered out.

"Bethany!" M'gann crowed, leaning forwards. "It's you!"

"What are you doing out here?" Bethany asked, while her mother peered around her.

"Do you need a lift, Honey?"

M'gann glanced at Danny. "Um, that would be wonderful, Mrs. George. This is Danny."

She pulled Danny – who squirmed appropriately – over. "Danny, this is Bethany and her mother. We're friends from school. Bethany, Mrs. George, this is Danny. He's..."

He's what? She asked herself.

"My nephew," she finished. People had nephews that were about the same age as themselves, right?

"Oh," Mrs. George said, subdued. "Well, come on in then," she continued with artificial cheer. "Open the back door, would you, dear?"

Bethany reached around to open the door, and M'gann and Danny scooted in.

"Where are you off to?" Mrs. George asked.

M'gann bit her lip, glancing up at the Mountain. "I... dunno. Center Town's fine."
