Percy's POV

I groaned as I fell back onto the grass. Another day of running. I looked over to my two brother like friends, and smiled lightly. They were already passed out. Fair enough.

Eventhough it was Carter's turn to keep watch, I decided just to let him sleep. He had a hard time today. We'd been in Ciro today, and on every single telephone pole we saw, was pictures of us, but mostly Carter. It was a wanted sign for Jason and I, and a Missing Reward sign for Carter.

He hadn't taken it well. Especcially when a few people saw us and the photo together. They tried to turn us in, but Carter made if very clear that if they so much as came fifteen feet from us, he'd beat them all to a pulp. It was harsh, yes, and I know for a fact Carter for horrible for saying it, but he says he doesn't fully regret it. He isn't going somewhere where Jason and I aren't welcome.

Jason stirred in his sleep as I walked around. I froze, not wanting him to hear me and wake up. It was well past my time to sleep and for someone else to take over, but I didn't care. I was too awake. Besides, I'd had first patrol yesterday, and that was the shortest patrol because we always gave it to the tierdest. We never feared that they'd fall asleep. It was too hard to when you had monsters going after you.

Carter finally woke up around six AM. He noticed the sun rising, gave me a very firm, and very painful, hit to the arm, and woke up Jason (who did the same). They both scolded me for staying up. We all know how much of a leader each of us are, but we just kinda try to ignore it most of the time, but sometimes it comes out like right now. They both towered over me. Jason yelled at me in Latin, and I think he called me a Dumknuck, but I can't tell. Carter told me off in Ancient Egyptian, which made him sound like he was talking like a bird off of those online games.

When they were finished with their scoldings, the forced me to go to sleep for about two hours, just to make up for it.

When I fianlly woke up Carter and Jason were on Alert.

Seriously? When I go to sleep something happens?

We packed up quietly, fast and Carter stored it in his little invisable thing. We call it the BackPack. Carter calls it the Duat. We peaked through the bushes to stare... At those girls again.

They'd been tracking us for the last two months. We almost never had a spare moment. But I felt off. There was less of them this time.

"Carter!" I yelled out, whirling around to uncapping my pen when I saw the small group of girls behind us. Carter was closest to them, and had to lunge out of the way of one of their arrows. He rolled inbetween me and Jason, and we pushed ourselves into him (which we knew he did not like, and when we got out of this, we was defineatly gonna give us a talk)

"Step away from them, Egyptain." The leader said. Jason glared at her. "Back off" He growled. She looked taken aback for a moment, before growling at Carter "What did you do to my brother?" "I haven't done anything!" Carter exclaimed "Why would I do anything? I didn't know the dude until recently!" "You're Egyptian! You always have a awful reason behind everything!"

"Okay!" I yelled. "This is getting us no where, so let me say this- We all woke up, in a random ass field in Russia six months ago. No memories except a few people each. Mine are of a girl named Annabeth, Jason and Carter. The two men beside me." "Mine are of you, Thalia, a girl named Piper, and Percy." "Mine are of a girl named Sadie, a girl named Zia, and Percy." Carter said, almost lost in thought, then he snapped back in.

"How do you know him Percy?" Thalia asked. "I don't know" I shrugged. "But I know I trust him. With. My Life. Both of them." "He's brainwashed you Percy!" Thalia exclaimed. Carter sighed. "If I knew how, I'd reverse it. I don't like not remembering who Sadie is. Who Zia is. I know I know them, but I can't remember their faces. Their voices. Just their names. I know I'll remember... Eventually. Hopefully" He muttered at the end.

It did what it needed to do. It got some of the girls confused. I took that oppertunity to lunge out, and back some of them off. Carter reaching into the BackPack and pulled out a vial. Slamming it to the ground, it realease a think grey smoke that only Carter could see through. He grabbed me and Jason by our wrists and pulled us through with the girls yelling behind us.

We ran for a few miles before we were sure they weren't able to follow us. We plopped down at a near gas station, bought a few keep granola bars, giving the excuse we were photographers and hikers trying to find some good spots for shoots, before plopping down and sighing in exhaust. "You know" Jason said, chewing on his bar "If I didn't know any better, I'd have trusted my sister." He looked over at Carter seriously. "But I think I trust my brother more"

That made him smile. I could tell on the entire way here that he was worried that we wouldn't trust him anymore. I knew he was completely trustworthy.

I don't know how...

I just knew.
