DICLAIMER: I do not own Harry Potter or Vampire Diaries!

SHOUTOUTS/NOTES: Been sick. Again. It sucks and I really didn't want to write this today, but I know you guys deserve it so here it is. Hope you like it!

"June?" Rebekah called into the wrecked house

Klaus and Elijah had immediately set out to the doppelgängers' house when Rebekah had told them about the situation. The Original sister had been barely holding it together, tears in her eyes as her trembling voice told them about Kol. Every single one of them knew, however, that June would be ten times worse. She had grown up with practically no one. Then, later on in life, when she had finally found some loved ones and built her own family at that school she spoke about, they had been ripped away by war. Now the only family she had were the Mikaelsons, and the Originals knew she'd be devastated to have one of them taken from her. Especially Kol.

When they finally found June, sitting on the couch with a calm façade, warning bells went off in Elijah and Rebekah's heads. This was Klaus' daughter they were dealing with, and she had just lost someone who was like a brother to her. If June was anything like her father, both Originals knew she'd bottle it up until it all exploded. Seeing her, all Klaus thought about was ways to kill the ones responsible for his daughter pain. Then they all saw Kol Mikaelson, or what was left of him.

"No!" Rebekah gasped, stepping backwards and into Elijah

Klaus stared at his younger brother with wide eyes, when Rebekah told them June said Kol was dead he had figured his little brother was only neutralized. Maybe one of the Doppelgängers' toys had been able to get Kol in the heart with a normal stake. If that was all, he'd just wake up a few hours later. June, however, knew nothing about Originals and would think her uncle was dead. Apparently his daughter knew more than he gave her credit for, because Kol was well and truly dead and Klaus hated every single person who caused it with all his might. Vengeance would come later, though, because now was the time for grief.

Meanwhile, the oldest Mikaelson held onto Rebekah as she tried not to cry, wanting to scream and curse the world because his little brother was gone. Kol was gone and he wasn't coming back. However, he had to keep it together, at least on the outside. If he knew his siblings, and he did, they would both be a wreck while grieving. Rebekah would be a mess in the most obvious way, crying like she was, but Klaus would be a more delicate matter. He would be like a ticking time bomb just waiting to explode. Elijah would have to make sure he didn't explode at Rebekah or, more importantly, June.

Elijah also knew Klaus would be out for revenge, that he wouldn't stop until the Salvatores, the Gilbert, and the Bennett were dead. Rebekah would probably be right there beside him looking for blood after her initial grief was over. Both of them would want heads to roll, and even though Elijah was a firm believer in second chances...no one hurt his family and lived.

Looking at her older brother, Rebekah felt like it was Henrik all over again. She knew Kol had pride in his looks and the thing she hated most was that. even though Kol loved looking in the mirror, he'd be repulsed by what he saw. Burnt and charred flesh, no hair, and barely recognizable features. It was horrifying that this mangled and barely put together corpse used to be her brother. It hurt to think about her last words to him.

Finally they all took account that June had also been there. Klaus seemed to realize this first and, as his eyes narrowed, he sped over to the couch where June sat. He crouched down and tried to look through the brunette bangs that shielded her eyes from view. Elijah and Rebekah also noticed and they made their way over as well. Rebekah stopped sniffling and resisted the urge to turn around and stare at her brothers corpse, willing him to come back to life with just her eyes. It was no use, she knew, but that didn't stop her from wanting to try. Elijah let go of his sister as they each went to stand beside Klaus, watching their niece intensely.

"June?" Klaus' voice was surprisingly gentle, "June, please, can you talk to me?"

Klaus' eyes narrowed further as her mouth pressed into a thin line. He repressed his anger at being ignored and remembered that this was his daughter, not one of his underlings he could boss around. Elijah had once told him something like that when they had first found out about June, and Klaus was content to say that he was following the advice because he wanted to, not because Elijah told him to. Keeping all that in mind, he reached forward and brushed her hair behind her ear and forced her to look up at him. The three Original's were shocked at what they saw.

They had expected a broken girl. Someone who had just lost an important piece of their life and was broken because of it. There were supposed to be tears and sobbing, curses and horrifying screams. What they saw was not the hurt little girl they had expected. In her place was a girl, no, a woman who had decided something. He green eyes were fierce a she stared at her family through long lashed and even tough there were dried tears on her cheeks, there were no more in her eyes.

"I'll bring him back."

"What?" Klaus snapped, voice harsher than it was meant to be

His daughters eyes met his unflinchingly and she spoke in a strong voice, "I said I'd bring him back."

"Junie, that's impossible." Rebekah put her hand on June's shoulder and sat down beside her

"It's not." June shook her head

"It was a White Oak Stake they used." Rebekah tried to explain, "They are the only-"

"The only things that can kill us, I know!" June snapped, "I'm saying I can bring him back from the dead!"

Klaus gave his daughter a curious look, "You speak as though you know of a way."

"I do." June stressed, looking up at him, "It's my fault he's dead and I-"

Elijah's eyes softened, "The ones at fault are the Gilbert and those who helped her. You had nothing to do with it."

"Yes." Klaus nodded sharply, "They came after us and they will pay for it, but there is no reason to go sprouting crack pot theories in grief, do you understand?"

Narrowing her eyes, June stood slowly. Klaus was forced to take a step back as his daughter stood there, a few inches shorter than him, but still staring into his eyes with a brave glare. Rebekah and Elijah tenses, ready to pull them away from each other if things got out of hand. There was already enough bloodshed in the Mikaelson family for the next century.

"This is not a crack pot theory, father." She hissed, "I fought in a war and have faced death before. This is not my first time losing someone I care about. However, I refuse to take this lying down. I know I haven't known him for as long as you three have, but that doesn't make him any less important to me. We are family, no matter what, and that's the reason I will go to such lengths for him."

She stepped back, the backs of her knees nearly hitting the couch. The Originals were silent as the waited for her to continue.

"In the Wizarding World, the is a legend. It is said that hundreds of years ago, the three Peverell brothers were travelling and reached a river too dangerous to cross. The three brothers were trained in magic so they had no problem creating a bridge. They were stopped by Death himself, though, who had felt cheated because most idiots who tried to cross the river drowned. Death was cunning however and lied, pretending to congratulate them in being able to save themselves from the same fate so many others had fallen prey to. He then went on to offer the each a wish, and they all wished for one magical item.

"What does this have to do with anything?" Klaus growled, his patience growing thin

Ignoring him, June continued, "The first brother wished to have the most powerful wand in existence to beat anyone he fought; Death broke off a branch of a nearby elder tree and created the Elder Wand. The second brother, in his ignorance, wanted to humiliate Death and wished to have the power to bring loved ones from the grave; Death took a stone from the bottom of the river and created the Resurrection Stone, a item capable of bringing the dead back to the living world. The third brother, however, was the smartest and most humble of all three. The third brother knew Death was humiliated and would seek revenge. He wished to go pass the river without Death following him; Death took a piece of his own cloak and created the Cloak of Invisibility that never lost its power no matter what."

"So, why are you telling us a child's tale?" Klaus ignored the looks from his brother and sister, he was determined not to let his daughter get her hopes up only to have them crushed. That was exactly what she was doing by putting all her hopes in the myth.

"It's not a child's tale." June retrieved her wand and waved it in an arching motion, "Accio Invisibility Cloak!"

"What are you doing?" Elijah sent his niece a look, "Surely you don't believe this tale?"

"I do." June tilted her chin up, "The cloak is charmed to not come to anyone but it's true owner. That's me. I have mastered the Elder Wand, I have held the Resurrection Stone in the palm of my hand, and I have worn the Invisibility Cloak over my shoulders. However, I have never been in possession of them at the same time. The wand cannot be summoned because it is buried with Albus Dumbledore, and his grave was charmed with anti-theft charms because of the valuable possessions in it. The stone is somewhere in the forest, I gave up my ownership to it because I intended for it to be lost forever, however that has obviously changed."

"Wait." Rebekah stopped her niece, "Say this is true...wouldn't you only need the Resurrection Stone?"

June shook her head sadly, "No. The stone only brings back shades. Shades are more solid than ghosts, but they have lost all personality and all the traits that made that person who they are."

"Then why would you even risk using it on Kol?" Rebekah look at June with outrage, "I'd rather he be dead than some emotionless half-ghost with no personality-"

"That's why we need the other two Hallows!" June interrupted her, "It is said that the individual who collects all three is the Master of Death. Many people interoperate this as that individual being invincible, but I think it literally means they have power over life and death. That they can bring people back from the dead for good, with all memories and personality and everything intact!"

Rebekah looked at Elijah who looked back at her and then looked at Klaus. Eventually, June's father spoke up, "I would love to believe all this, Little Witch, but you're going to need to proved it."

"I super charged the Summoning Charm to get the cloak here faster. It's all the way back in England, but it should be here soon because of the extra power I pushed into the spell."

Before she even finished the sentence, a piece of silky and dark cloth that shined in the low light shot into the house. June opened her hands and caught it with practiced ease. Smirking, she stared her family down as she threw the cloak over her self and cover her head with it. In the blink of an eye she was gone. Klaus stared at the spot where his daughter used to be with shock as Rebekah's eyes filled up with hope and Elijah couldn't fight the smile twitching on his lips. June pulled off the cloak and folded it over her arm, looking up at her family with certainty.

"If we find the other two Hallows, I can bring him back. I'll need to go to England and break into the most protected grave in the whole Wizarding World and scrounge and entire forest to do so, but I can if I have you all as help."

Slowly, the three Originals nodded. Rebekah first, Elijah second, and Klaus last. Then a thought smacked June upside the head, breaking through her plans.

"I'll need some help." June said

"Who?" Rebekah raised an eyebrow

"You met him the other day at the Ball. He's a wizard too, you see, and a pretty good one at that. I think he'll be a lot of help."

"Very well. Go get this help and we'll fetch tickets to England." Klaus nodded at his daughter

June felt a smirk flicker to life on her face, she would show the doppelgänger and all those who had helped her that they had messed with the wrong family.

Question of the Chapter: What do you think Rebekah said to Kol before he died?
