Chapter Eighteen: Secret

SHOUTOUTS/NOTES: I really can't believe this story is about to hit 400 REVIEWS with only EIGHTEEN CHAPTERS! I hope you guys know I read every single one and appreciate them all, good or bad you still took the time to write something out that reviews my writing.

"If it's going to be anything like that when we go home, I'll swim back from England." Robert groaned

The Original family and Robbie all stood in the middle of the house, Robbie looking very green in the face. June herself had made a portkey to 12 Grimmauld Palace, her former place of residence, with Kol's body. Before they had all left, they had placed the preserved corpse in one of the coffins Klaus had for easy transportation. It was decided that June would use the portkey spell on her daylight ring to take them all to 12 Grimmauld Palace, the place they would be staying until they were able to preform the spell to bring Kol back, with the coffin.

"Surely it wasn't that bad?" June smiled in a smug way

"You've used them a million times before! I've only used a Portkey one other time in my whole life, and that was years ago!" Robbie defended himself

"Excuses, excuses!" Smirking, June turned to her family

"Welcome," She rolled her eyes, "To my former humble abode."

"It's charming." Rebekah eyed the spider webs with distaste

June huffed, "I haven't been here in months, of course there is dust and what not!"

"Excuses, excuses!" Robbie mocked her with a smirk

"Oh, shut up!" June snapped, rolling her eyes once again, "Now, we need to start looking for the Resurrection Stone as soon as possible! The longer Kol stays...dead...the less of a chance we have to bring him back."

"Well, it's only three in the evening, why don't we start searching the forest? Even if we were to just get a feel of what we're looking for, it would help." Elijah looked at the others for their opinion

"Good idea, brother. Shall we go?" Klaus raised an eyebrow

Rebekah, Klaus, and Elijah had all split up already to start the search. Only June and Robbie remained, standing at the edge of the forest where they had entered. It hadn't taken a very long time to get there, it would've been faster if the rest of them had only let June make another portkey. However, Robbie's protesting couple with the Originals disdain for the travelling devices ruled that option out.

"Ok, so you and I will begin searching-" June was interrupted by Robbie

"Why are we searching together? I highly doubt you need any protection!" Robbie gave her confused look

June held her hand to her heart, pretending to be hurt, "You mean you don't want to spend time with me?"

The young man scrambled, "N-no, no! Of course not! It's just that-"

"There might still be Death Eaters out there, okay? Even though I might not need any protection..."

Robbie's grip on his wand tightened, "You think I do."

Even though it wasn't a question and more like a statement, June answered anyways, "I'm sure you're perfectly capable but I don't want to risk it-"

"I'm stronger than I look." He stared at the ground

"Fine." June sighed, "Just...be careful, ok?"

Robbie sent her a small smile with his lips quirked up, "Pssh, like I'm not always careful!"

Smiling back, June nodded and the two parted ways to begin searching.

"Where is that damned thing?" June hissed

She had been searching for hours, so long that the sky was turning dark and the moon was out. She knew it would take a few days to find the stone, maybe even a week, but that didn't mean June couldn't be impatient. She couldn't wait for Kol to be back so she could smack him for doing something so stupid. Noble, yes, but also very stupid. Then again, she also wanted to hug him to death.

Scanning the forest floor with ease one last time, June decided it was time to go looking for Robbie. While she and her family's eyes would not be affected by the dark because they were vampires/werewolves, Robbie's would as he was only a wizard. He could get lost and hurt, and that wouldn't do seeing as June was the one who dragged him into this whole mess. She was just getting ready to track him down when she heard it, just a faint whisper that was carried by the wind.

"All alone in the woods with nobody to save you now. Hmm, what spell should I use?" Those words carried so much malice and hate, it could only mean one thing...

A death eater.

One of Voldemort's minions was attacking Robbie. If he died, it would be her fault. If he was injured it would be all her fault. She couldn't let that happen, not to Robbie and not to anyone else who she cared about. June Mikaelson refused to lose anyone else in her life. She shot off running, the scenery around her blurring together. Trees and grass, flowers and weeds, the night sky, it all formed one dark blob as she sped through the forest. All of a sudden, a howling scream pierced the air before abruptly stopping and June knew she was too late.

"No..." The young woman trembled as anger flushed through her

Veins popped out underneath her now golden eyes as fangs burst through her gums and rested on her bottom lip. She sped up, running faster than before, as she neared the clearing. Her anger was fueled at the scent of blood. Robbie's blood. He was dead and she was going to kill the bastard responsible for it. Finally, finally, she burst through the brush with a angry snarl.

"I'll kill-"

Surprise overtook her face as her green eyes returned and her fangs retreated. The veins fades as she stared at a perfectly well Robbie, he wasn't injured or anything. Breathing a bit hard, maybe, but she understood why as she looked at the man on the ground. He was probably in his late twenties and wore tattered black robes that June had often seen on death eaters, but those things didn't shock her. The fact that his neck was twisted at a horrible angle and his eyes had rolled into the back of his head surprised her.

"How...?" Her eyes flickered up to meet stormy blue ones, "What spell does that?"

Robbie swallowed as her glared at his feet, "It wasn't a spell. Like I told you earlier, I'm stronger than I look."

"Strong enough to snap a grown man armed with a wand's neck? I don't think-"

"Just drop it, okay?" His tone was pleading

"Okay." June nodded

She had no intention to drop it.
