Epilogue
DICLAIMER: I do not own Harry Potter or Vampire Diaries!
SHOUTOUTS/NOTES: Oh. My. God. Writing this story has been an amazing experience, and now it's complete! Don't worry, though, this isn't the end! Skinny love, a sequel, will come out maybe next Monday, so be looking for that! I would like to say thanks to I am Katie Daughter of Demeter for all her amazing help! If she hadn't helped me so much, I doubt I would've gotten past chapter 5, let alone completed this thing! I'd also like to thank every one who, reviewed, added to favorites, or added to alert! It means so much to know people enjoy my writing! Now, I present the last chapter of Say Something.
June held onto her suitcase, looking around the cold lounge room. The blood had been cleaned, the furniture fixed, and everything was in place. Memories would stain this room forever, though, memories of how she nearly lost her uncle and her best friend on the same day. It had been a month since that had all happened, and finally plans had been made for them to leave Mystic Falls. Her father had said something about her being old enough to see her kingdom, as he had called it, for in barely a few months it would be her birthday again. She couldn't imagine spending in in New Orleans of all places, but it left her kind of excited. She was a curious, adventurous person and she's found that she adores visiting new places and experiencing new things. So when the topic of leaving had been introduced, she had jumped on the chance to go somewhere new and leave all these memories behind.
All of a sudden, there was a hand on her shoulder. Jumping slightly, she turned to see Kol smiling down at her. Laughing lightly, she smiled back before sighing deeply.
"You do not want to leave?" Kol tilted his head slightly, "Or you really want to leave?"
"I really want to leave." June turned to face him, "I love the good memories here but..."
"Sometimes a few bad ones can spoil a place." Kol nodded understandingly, "I suppose I can understand that, niece."
"Yeah." She let out a long breath, "I'd better go find Robbie. I don't trust my dad and him to be alone in the same room together."
"Ah, yes, wouldn't want the boy to be missing a limb or two before we even get to New Orleans!"
June rolled her eyes at her uncle before she left to find her best friend. Well, sort of best friend. Best friends who loved each other, yes, that's what they are! June shook her head, she could figure out their official title later, she was just happy she still had the boy she loved within her reach. Entering the kitchen, she found Robbie alone and humming lightly as he shoved random articles of clothing into his bag.
"Hi." She leaned against the table and watched him messily pack his bag, "All of your clothes are going to be wrinkly, you know."
He smiled and looked up at her with bright blue eyes, "Does it make a difference? They're clothes, wrinkly or not."
Rolling her eyes, June smiled, "You are such a boy."
Robbie raised an eyebrow and laughed, "I wasn't aware you wanted me to be a girl. I'm sure there's a spell for that, if you want me to look it up."
June huffed, nudging his shoulder lightly with her hand, "You know that's not what I meant. I like you just fine the way you are."
He left his suitcase on the table to wrap his arms around her from behind. Setting his head in the angle of her neck, he smiled when she leaned into him and grabbed his hands, which were rested on her stomach. June melted into the form behind her and they just stood there until June got the initiative to turn around in his hold. Now facing him, she raised herself up onto her toes just a little bit so she was able to kiss him gently on the lips. Closing her eyes she felt him smile as his hold tightened and they deepened the kiss.
Pulling back, she whispered lightly, "You know my dad would kill you."
"I'm sure I can count on my beautiful girlfriend to protect me."
Green eyes snapped up to his face, "Girlfriend?"
Robbie shrugged slightly, a light shade of pink dusting his cheeks, "I mean I just figured, especially after that a few days ago, that we'd be...a couple, I guess."
June hummed and laid her head on his shoulder, enjoying the warmth that came off him, "I'd be happy with that."
"Good." Robbie's smile was wide
"June!" She heard Rebekah's yell, "We're leaving, hurry up! If you're bringing your boy toy, drag him along as well!"
Robbie let out a snort, not yet releasing his girlfriend, "Boy toy?"
"Of course!" June looked up at him, mischievous, "One of many."
In response to that, Robbie leaned down and kissed her heatedly, their lip lock lasting far more than ten seconds before they pulled away.
"I'm the only one that can do that, though, correct?"
"Hmmm." June hummed, pretending to think, "Not sure, there is this one boy in town..."
"Oh hush." Robbie laughed and gave her a quick peck on the lips
"Juniper Mikaelson!" Rebekah yelled, exasperated, "Stop making out in the kitchen and let's go. Don't make me send Nik in there!"
"That's our cure, I'm guessing." Robbie reluctantly released the raven haired girl he held in his arms
"Unfortunately, yes." June sighed
Robbie grabbed his bag and quickly zipped it up before June grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the kitchen to meet up with the rest of her family and Caroline. As they left the house and Mystic Falls behind, all of them felt nostalgic but happy. It was a place with a lot of memories, but where they were going now was going to be a whole new adventure. As June watched the place she spent the last few months in disappear in the rearview mirror, she glanced over at Robbie who was talking adamantly with Kol. Grabbing his hand, she smiled when he squeezed hers back. She'd never been as happy that she had left her old life behind to find her father. She'd gained a real family, a group of people who she didn't have to impress to keep their love.
No one noticed the extra heartbeat, to low and underdeveloped for them to hear without trying.
I know a baby's heartbeat comes at about two months (I looked that up on the internet several places, sorry if I'm wrong) but as this baby will be the product of two fully grown Hybrids, it grows a bit faster.
So, as I said, Skinny Love will be out around next Monday! Hope you all will enjoy that story as much as you did this one!
