A/N: my dear reviews HOW COULD YOU THINK I HAVE KILLED FREDDIE! MY BABY! WHAT KIND OF STORY WOULD THIS BE IF I PUT HIM THROUGH ALL THAT MISERY THEN BOOM DEATH?! okay enjoy c:

He took in a deep breath inhaling the smell of fresh green grass and warm summer air. He didn't dare open his eyes just yet. He didn't want to think of his reality just his peaceful serenity he is in right now. then a thought sprung in his mind that made his stomach drop.

It was winter. He was at Hogwarts when he closed his eyes. Slowly he opened his eyes his thoughts confirmed. It was summer and before him was a to that the lake, then directly behind him, was the rusted broken back door that he would know anymore. The door he snuck out of as a child with his twin the door he once put a bucket of water on to prank Percy the muggle way.

He was at the burrow. How? He had no clue, but he was there clear as day. He went to grab the handle when the smooth familiar voice spoke from behind him.

"I wouldn't do that." was all it said.

Fred turned around abruptly as he saw the not amused face of his twin.

He let out a loud sigh as he said, "Dear Merlin Georgie. What the bloody hell is going on?"

"Not George. Try again." Was all he said as he examined his fingernails as if they were the most interesting thing hed ever seen.

"Quit playing George Im confused here. How the hell did I get here? Why aren't we at school?" he said searching for some type of sanity to all of this nonsense.

The figure only looked straight at his put his hands to both his ears and said," Im not George."

Freds eyes squinted as he looked into the Figures eyes not knowing what to say. His thought process was interrupted when his back door swung open passing through him.

"What is this? Did I die am I some sort of bloody ghost? What the Hell!" He started panicking and nearly shouting until he realized the person who opened the door had not heard him at all. All he could see was the back of a tall man walking with a hood over his head His hands stuffed in his pockets. His head facing toward the ground as he walked toward the lake.

The figure he still suspected as George then spoke with a wide grin, "Alright kid. I'm done messing with you. Come here."

"If you haven't noticed Im not exactly a kid and your the same age as me." Fred told him.

"Actually, if you want to be technical your older, but you sure as hell aren't acting like it. Now get your arse over here and let me tell you what the hell is going on."

Fred begrudgingly walked over to him and said, "If you aren't George who the hell are you?"

"Have you not figured it out yet? You're smarter then this think." He said his now deep blue eyes locking his gaze.

Then it hit him. "You're me. And I... I'm in a dream...Im not dead."

"Well you should be, but that's beside the point. You aren't in a dream exactly, more of a memory..."

"Wait what do you mean by I should be..."

But his question was never answered as the door that previously hit him was opened again. This time with extreme ease and stealth. He got to see the person this time.

A girl in pajama pants and an old quidditch jersey on that was way too big to have ever been hers. Her hair was pulled back into a messy bun. Her mouth showed no emotion resting as if she were maybe bored. She quietly tip toed occasional pearing back at the house as she walked. But all together she looked nothing but Placid. But then in her eyes. You could stare at them all day. They were literally sparkling with joy In the swirls of golden chocolate brown.

There was more joy in them then hed ever seen before, he thought he was Imagining the faint glimmer in them before, but now he knew he couldn't have possibley imagined it.

His face fell as she walked away and his mind cleared. He never saw her eyes like that. Who ever she was going to meet must have made her more happy then she could ever be again. That look no matter how hard she was trying to hide it, those eyes cant lie no matter what she does.

A hand patted his shoulder and his mind was somewhat cleared.

"Come on lets get on with this..." He said as he started following the girl.

"That girl, that's, that's Hermione isn't it?" Fred asked.

"Yeah, it is. Looks so different doesn't she? Goes to show what a few years of torment, sorrow, and crying yourself to sleep every noght can do to a person." He replied with a small frown.

Fred was about to reply when the other him continued ,"That's not what we are here for though, We're here to watch." He gestured forward for Fred to look.

He saw the first hooded figure sitting by the lake just waiting and Hermione was barely even a foot away. Fred jogged to catch up to them.

Hermione tip-toed behind the figure and wrapped her arms around his neck tightly.

The hooded man flipped her over his shoulders in one swift fluid easy movement she was cradled in his lap like a baby and she had the biggest smile upon her face.

She was more beautiful then he had ever seen her in his entire life. His heart nearly stopped at how gorgeous she was when she was happy.

Then she spoke as she chuckled, "Your actually early this time. What a nice surprise."

"I guess I couldn't wait to see. I have a surprise for you." the hooded figure said smiling wide.

Hermione's eyes glimmered with mischief as she said, "And, what exactly would that be?" She put her arms around his neck causing the hood to fall showing his face clearly. It was him. Fred. Of course, It was his memory, but... he didn't remember this. How was another pointless memory supposed to help him at all.

"No I mean, I have a real present for you." He said chuckling and he knew what she though he meant.

"OH? What ever for? Its not my birthday, you do know that?" Hermione said in confusion as she furrowed her brow.

"Just because I can. You see what happened was I was walking down Diagon Alley and I saw something and I just got this insane idea for a new invention. I told George and he loved it so here it is the very first working one, you have it before anyone else." He said and then reached into his pocket pulling out a small box with a bow on top.

She eerily took the box then asked with narrowed eyes, "This isn't going to make my head swell or turn my face orange or anything will it?"

he let out a laugh before smiling and saying casually," Not this time ,love. Besides, I'd never turn you orange, Purple perhaps."

"What? I cant pull off orange?"

"Oh My Own, You can pull off anything, but purple makes your eyes shine brighter, and anything that can make your eyes shine is ultimately the best thing in the world. Which is also why I happen to be the best thing in the world."

"Oh really who says Hermione's not just happy around you because you remind me of George." she challenged him.

"Just open your present before I take it back." He told her smirking.

She nodded and opened the box and took out a locket. she looked up at him confused "Its the locket I gave you for Christmas..."

He shook his head and took the locket out of her hands and placed it around her neck. The moment his hands let go of the locket, it glowed a bright red and opened on its own. It started playing their song faintly and the picture on the inside was of them dancing at the yule ball.

Nothing was said and Hermione's eyes were wide and filled to the brim with emotion. Her bottom lip dropped and she caressed the locket as she looked down at it.

Fred only watched her smiling widely, then he kissed her. Like their first kiss he kissed passionately and meaningfully. When they broke apart he said, "I love you too, My Own."

Hermione looked at him confused and said," I-I never said I loved you Fred."

Fred smirked as he said, "You didn't have to. The lockets enchanted, If your falling in love with me it would only glow red. If you felt nothing for me at all, it would glow blue. But because you're in love with me it opened, and well I enchanted it to play our song whenever you open it. Also I put some of my memories in it, like how you would for a pensieve. So the image changes so it can never get boring."

Hermione's smile couldn't be tamed or even faultered as she spoke, "I don't know what to say Fred. I don't know whether to snog you senseless or yell at you for being too chicken to tell me you love me."

"I'd go with your first instinct, love. Sounds more enjoyable then the latter." He said with a cheeky grin and nuzzling her neck. He already knew she wouldn't yell. She couldn't even stop smiling.

"But then I wouldn't be able to see your adorable puppy dog pout." She said with a slight giggle.

"Oh darling, Im quite sure you'll yell at me for something later in the day and I can almost guarantee you'll see the face soon."

Instead of replying she only kissed him. Very chaste, very bliss. She pulled away slightly running a hand through his hair she said, "I love you, Fred Weasley."

It was his turn to smile now, his voice was low and soft it was barely a whisper as he said,"Not for long, My Own."

Hermione didn't even have the chance to question him. Before she knew it he stood up carrying her like a baby then jumped strait into the lake.

While his laughter filled the air she did not get to speak until after submerged into the water.

She spit the water out of her mouth glaring at the boy she just confessed her love for as she said, "Fredrick Gideon Weasley. We cant have one moment with out you being a blunderhead can we? I cant believe you would-"

Her rant was cut short as Fred fiercely pulled her close to him and kissed her passionately and urgently. Hermione's first instinct was replying with enthusiasm, but that was only for a split second. She pulled away, however she was still in his hold.

"You're an idiot. A bloody fool that's what you are."

He gave her his puppydog face he promised her she'd see soon and said, "But love, Im your fool."

"Wait until I tell George what a sappy bloke you are." She said not willing to forgive him yet

"But Im your sappy bloke." He repeated her.

"You're a nuisance. A bloody nuisance" She said giggling.

"But, My Own... Im your Nuisance!" His grin grew wider as he repeated her again knowing she was about to break into a fit of laughter.

"You're ridiculous. Absolutely utterly ridiculous Fred you know that?"

"But I'm your absolutely utterly-" He was cut short by Hermione splashing him in his face.

" Yes, You are my utterly ridiculous sappy, idiotic, foolish nuisance of a bloke." She said laughing.

He closed his eyes and spit the water that got in his mouth out and grinned widely. His eyes glazed over with mischief. A look Hermione knew oh too well. "You'll pay for that one granger." He said as she broke from his grasp and began swimming away giggling.

The memory that stood before Fred happening clear as day began fading the laughing began to slowly disappear and it was dark again the only thing that stood before him was himself once more.

"Why? How does that tell me anything about what's happened? Why cant I remember it?" Fred shouted to the silent figure.

"You're not trying hard enough. Think about it."

"Why cant you just tell me?" He begged

"I don't know either. I am you. How could I know?"

"You know everything else you showed me the memories."

"Im the part of you that's fighting to get out. Im the person Hermione's in love with. You the part that forgot. I don't know what happened, but I bloody know it had to be bad, because I would rather die. I'd rather sell my soul then forget her. Every moment you don't remember you hurt her even more. So you're either going to lose her or remember."

"Is he alright? How longs he been out?"

"Its been two days."

"He hasn't even moved?"

"No. Not even a twitch."

"Oh Hermione, don't cry. He's going to be fine."

The voices echoed through the darkness and he stared upward, "Two days? I've been here for two days? Wake me up."

He looked before him and watched as the figure disintegrated before him. He was now alone. All alone in the black darkness.

"Its my fault I left him." Hermione cried.

"Im fine! HERMIONE IM FINE!" he screamed out.

"Oh fred, why are we always so complicated? We were never easy. Keeping secrets. Sneaking around. I did this to you. I put you through all this pain. Im so sorry, I just didn't want to lose you. I'm so sorry. But I'd never take back that night. I'll get you back Fred. I promise."

Fred crouched to fetal position and pulled his hair. He thought 'remember remember remember' in his mind repeatively.

Images Flashed before him. A spell. A wall. Death eaters. Hermione. Hermione crying. Hermione. Hermione. Hermione.

Then it all went black. The words chanting through the air a very feeble whisper but they were there in the darkness.

"Restituo hac vita magna imperia supra da nobis hoc puero in pro hoc puella amor" Over and over again it chanted becoming louder and louder.

"Shut up! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! BLOODY HELL SHUT UP!" Fred screaming.

Then the familiar voice began laughing and spoke in English. She said eerily, "Replace this life great powers above. Replace it for this boy and girl in love"

"I don't understand? Im sorry. I just I cant... I cant remember it" He said crying and closing his eyes as tight as he could.

THe space grew silent. And he opened his eyes, but instead of the vast darkness he was in previously. He awakened to the curtains of the hospital wing a sleeping Hermione beside his bed in a chair. he was sweating his heart was racing and his head ache hurt worse then one could imagine, but looking at Hermione's sleeping form. He knew. he had to try harder. He had to remember. For her. because even if he doesn't remember why or how. He was in love with her. Completely in love with her.
