-Chapter 7-
After a restless night, little Loki got up to eat breakfast. As he walked down the hall he could smell deliciousness emanating from the dining hall and heard the lively chatter also coming from the dining area. As he rounded the corner, he saw everyone sitting at the table eating and regaling of last nights advntures. Everyone except Frigga, that is. Loki trotted over to where Odin was sitting and tugged on his sleeve.
"Where's mother?" He asked
"Your mother is felling ill, and has assigned me to watch over you little ones today"
Odin replied in a voice loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Thor, Tony, and Clint you know you did something wrong last night and.."
But before he could finish his sentence a whoosh came out of nowhere and a platter of food disappeared. They startled, and looked aroung looking for the culprit.
"Senya!" Natasha cheered looking under the table watching the dragon scarf down a whole chicken
"Who is Senya?" Odin asked looking under the table as well "AHH!" He exclaimed, falling backwards, startled by the sight of a dragon in his castle. "Does your mother know about this?" Odin asked shakily
"Actually, she helped us catch her" Replied Bruce lifting the dragon and setting him in his lap.
"And she let you keep a baby fire dragon?" Odin asked the children doubtfully
"Yes" the kids replied in chorus
"She said as long as we keep her out of trouble we could keep her" Thor said cheerily as he bounced over to the dragon
"Alright, as I was saying, you boys are in big trouble, but since the damage has been repaired, and I might have overreacted last night, I have decided to forgive you and let you play." Odin said to the boys with a ghost of a smile on his face
You could hear the boys breath a sigh of relief as Odin finished
"Now, who wants to go to some real target practice?" Odin asked the children
"Yeah!" cheered the children as they followed Odin out the door
All the children except for Natasha, who slinked away toward Frigga's room
A soft knock was heard on the door.
"Come in" Frigga said weakly
Natasha came in and hopped on the bed beside her
"Don't get to close or you'll get sick to" Frigga said to her
"I'll be here all day" Natasha answered firmly
"Oh, honey, you don't have to, beside don't you wan't to have fun?" Frigga gently replied
"Nope, I came here to make sure you aren't lonely" Natasha said
"Well, alright then, what shall we do?" Frigga said as she reached under the bed and pulled out a bun of games.
The boys threw knives, blew things up, played dodge bullet which quickly ended when Odin understood the premise of the game, and blew some more stuff up. They quickly got bored and resorted to a game of hide and seek through the entire castle, but that also ended before the second round when Bruce got lost and the rest had been hiding for an hour. Loki tries teaching the boys magic, but that failed miserably. Odin suggested they go and make a cake for Frigga.
"Sure, why not" the boys said
"But Natasha's the only one who knows how" Tony pointed out
"That's where you're wrong, I am an excellent chef!" Odin exclaimed
"But thinking of it where is Natasha?" He asked
"I think she's in with mother" Loki softly said as he lead the band of boys to his parents chambers
The door opened as Natasha just got beat in a game of probe for like, the millionth time
"Come on, take it easy on me.."
"Hey, there you are!" Odin bursted in and scared the girls half to death
"Odin, knock" Frigga reprimanded him
"Sorry, my dear, but I didn't know where Natasha had gone and I came here" He said as he walked over to her and gave her a gentle kiss
"Anyways, let's go boys" Odin marched out of the room in a silly manner that made everyone giggle.
"Oh, my it's 3:05" Frigga gasped as she glanced at the clock
"Time flies when you're having fun!" Natasha exclaimed as se threw cards up in the air and laughed as they poured back down
3 hours later
Flour covered Thor, sugar was in everyone's shoes and hair, and Icing on everyone's faces was what was left over of the boys when they made a cake. But sitting on the counter was a beautifully decorated, three tiered cake.
"Well, let's take it to Frigga now!" Odin said as he was adding the finishing touches to the cake
The door swung open to reveal the boys, grinning from ear to ear, and an exquisite cake In Odin's hands.
Frigga gasped as they set it on a tray
"For me?!"
"Love you mom!" the flour covered Thor said as he pounced on his mother and she grimaced as the flour settled
She laughed as she replied "I love you too, abominable snowman"
"So, let's eat!" an excited Tony said, already cutting a huge slice for himself.
As the cake was passed around, and the days adventure told, the parents of the children arrived and picked them up one by one until it was only Natasha left (along with Thor and Loki cause they kinda live there ;))
"Frigga, thanks for playing with me" Nathsha said as she hugged her
"Thanks for staying with me, but maybe one day I'll invite just you over and we can have a day all to ourselves" Frigga said hugging her back
"Yeah!" Natasha replied as her eyes lit up
"But," Frigga said "until then you will always have a place in my heart" She said as she kissed her on the cheek
"Thanks" Natasha said as one last hug was in order " I gotta go, my parents are here"
A one last "Bye Mrs. Frigga!" was shouted out the window as Natasha rolled away
"Oh, kids are a mess" Odin complained as he picked up the carnage of the boys
"So are dragons" Thor replied
The boys had decided to let the dragon go and not cage it up, so it could live free and the little thing decided to wreck Thor's room before it flied out the window
"Yes but I'm proud of you boys for such a big decision like that" Odin said gently
"Thanks" The boys chorused
"Oh, by the way, everybody's coming over again for Thor's birthday party" Loki said to Frigga and Odin as the family cleaned up
"What! But that's like next week!" Odin replied in a panic
"So" Little Thor replied
"Oh,boy" Frigga sighed as she realized what this meant.
