Chapter 11.

It was a grey morning, and it was the last race that season. Regina and Emma lay curled up in each other at a hotel near the track. Emma was awake, watching how Regina slept against her shoulder. Quiet before the story.

This season had been much to eventful for her liking, in fact spite the fact that she was young and hot she was thinking about retracting before the new season started. In fact she wanted to stay home with Henry and cheer on Regina from the sidelines. Her fingers dancing lazily over her golden skin, as she planted gentle kisses along dark strands. She loved her knew, she really loved her and the feeling was mutual. They had spent much more time together after Emma's return to the track.

"Mmm," she murmured, still in her half sleep. Emma smiled, knowing she was waking up, her beauty, her sleeping beauty. She stirred a bit, too lazy to yet open her captivating dark eyes.

Emma pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, whispering, "Time to wake up."

Some flutters then her eyes opened, and she gave her a kiss. Emma loved it, falling asleep and waking up with her, being around her, even arguing with her, all about this woman made her feel like she was floating on air.

"You want to shower first?" the question came in a hoarse morning voice.

"You can go," Emma offered, realeasing her slowly. The brunette stretched and left the room. The blonde simply looked after her, hearing the shower got turned on in the room next door.

"Best of luck," Regina said as she stood in her racing gear, looking at Emma. Her suit perfect as always, so was her attitude, she was much harder on the field than in private.

"And to you," Emma said, adding, "This is most likely my last race."

"What?!" the brunette was shocked.

"I was thinking about retiring, stay home with Henry," she smiled.

"I don't think that is the best idea, but I understand," Regina gave her a loving peck on the cheek, before walking towards her car and her crew.

Once inside she drove it to the lineup. She sighed, Emma quitting, she did not see that one coming, after all she had done to get back in the car. She also knew that she didn't want to stop racing herself. She loved it too much. Then again if Emma was home she wouldn't have to bother her mother about watching Henry, which was a good thing. She had her hands in the steering wheel, ready to go. She could win this she knew, everyone could really, but she was going to.

Emma sighed turning on the engine, she loved the purr of it, the speed, this fine machinery which was probably what she would miss the most when she didn't race anymore. She could and would do this, win, one last time, she had to.

The fire and then the cars got in motion, round after round as always, eager driver behind the wheel, but it could only be one winner, and to Regina's dismay it was Emma. She got out of the car, watching her, her happiness as her crew celebrated. She smiled walking over, holding up her hand to congratulate, but Emma threw herself around her and said, "How does it feel to loose?"

"I rather lose for love than lose my glory," said Regina with a soft laughter.

"Have you any idea how much I love you," she planted kisses of joy all over her face.

"I have an idea," said Regina bursting out in giggles, not caring who was watching.

"Marry me," Emma spoke with a laughed.

"Wait what…" she realized the words, but shrugged saying, "Yes, I will marry you when the time is right."

"I can live with that," said Emma and kissed her in a very loving way. Regina giggled into the kiss as she met it with equal love, because there was nothing she wanted more than to marry her Emma.
