Chapter Thirteen- Story Part Two
FLASHBACK CONTINUIES
14-years-old Ron stoppable follows Yori to head to the school he'll be attending. After crossing an unstable bridge, they have finally made it to the school, which looks more like a temple.
"Oh man, I could've fallen out of that bridge." Ron states as he shivers from crossing the old rickety bridge "One wrong move and I'm a goner."
The young Yori giggled as she replied "I like some of your American humor, Stoppable-san."
"Hehe yeah, jokes." Ron replies as he nervously chuckles.
"I hope you will enjoy your stay at the Yamanouchi School." Yori comments as she and Ron cross the bridge. "We are almost to the school. Stoppable-San."
"That's great, Yori. So, why don't you tell me a little about yourself?" Ron inquires as he watches the girl walk in front of him.
"I'm one of the top students in the school." Yori told him as they're almost to the other side of the long bridge.
"You must be really smart and knowledgeable." Ron comments "Guess you're the smartest girl in the whole school."
"I guess I am." Yori replied as they cross the bridge.
"I also bet the prettiest." Ron mumbles to himself.
"What was that, Stoppable-San?" Yori questions as she actually heard him mumble to himself.
"Oh...oh nothing, Yori." Ron replies as he blushes in embarrassment. 'Thank god she didn't hear me!'
/
"Welcome to the school, Stoppable-San." Yori comments as the American goes wide eyed when he gazes at the ancient school in the mountains. "This school is centuries old, and it has taught student for centuries."
"This is amazing." Ron whispers in awe as he stares at the architecture of the school.
"I see that you have brought Stoppable-san, Yori." said the Sensei with orange robe, long white beard, and his eyes always shut "It is good to meet you, Ron Stoppable-san."
Ron looks at the old sensei as he responds "I-It's nice to meet you, um Principal..."
"I am only known as Sensei here." Sensei told him as he bowed, as well as Yori and Ron who followed.
"Sorry, Sensei." Ron apologizes as he bows. "I will remember that."
"Yori. Why don't you show Stoppable-San to his room, and after you unpack his belongings you may join the other students in the cafeteria for some dinner." Master Sensei orders his favorite student before he walks away.
"Come then, Stoppable-San." Yori comments as she leads the blond boy into the school.
"You got it, Yori." Ron replies as he follows the Japanese beauty.
/
During lunch hour, Ron met up with Yori as they both eat dumplings.
"Man, what's with the cafeteria lady? I was going to get some of the bread, but she wouldn't let me when she holds them with the chopsticks." Ron complains as he eats the dumplings.
"It's to show how you're skilled, Stoppable-san." Yori replied as someone confronts them at the table.
"What is an outsider doing here, Yori-san?" Fukushima questions as he narrows his eyes towards the nervous Ron.
"He's our new transfer student Fukushima-san." Yori retorts as she grew annoyed by the boy's presence.
"The name's Ron Stoppable or the Ron-man if you will." Ron told as he extends his hand to shake, only for Fukushima to scoff it off.
"Try not to drag this school down, outsider." Fukushima sneers as he turns and walks away.
"What's up with him?" Ron asked as he looks at Fukushima questionably.
"Fukushima-Baka doesn't believe that none Japanese should be allowed into the school." Yori explains as she takes a bite of her dumpling.
"Baka?" Ron inquires.
"It means 'fool,' Stoppable-San." Yori informs with agitation in her voice. "And is what Fukushima-Baka is, a fool."
"It sounds like you don't like him that much." Ron comments.
"He doesn't stop with the...as you Americans say, flirting." Yori replies in anger.
"Why don't you just tell, Sensei? He seems like the kind of guy that wouldn't stand for such behavior." Ron replies with a comforting smile and sets his hand on hers which makes her face heat up.
"I thank you for your words of wisdom Stoppable-San, but infortuently I cannot just tell Sensei something like that. He is a very busy man." Yori responds as she feels her heart skip a beat at the skin on skin contact.
/
Sensei sits in his office as one of his students appears as he bows to him.
"Speak, Hirotaka." Sensei told his student.
"Master Sensei, when do we start Stoppable-san's training?" He asked his master.
"He will start as soon as you and Yori can start his training. You two will get Stoppable-San up to speed and then he will train with the rest of you." Sensei answers as he sees the shock on his second favorite student's face. "Don't fear, Hirotaka. I trust you and Yori to train the Chosen One."
"Yes master." Hirotaka replied "It will be an honor to train him, Sensei."
/
"So, what do you think Sensei would want to call us for?" Ron asked Yori as they both head to where Master Sensei would be. It has been a month since Ron came here and he just sent a letter to his friend Kim.
"You will find out, Stoppable-San. Trust me when I say that it will be an honorable experience." Yori answers as she slightly smiles. "Come, you can only figure it out if we enter his room."
"Come in Yori, Stoppable-San." Sensei states.
"Good morning, Master Sensei." Yori and Ron greet in unison as they boy after entering the room.
"Hello, students." Sensei greets in return with a slight bow on his own.
"You called for us, Master Sensei." Ron comments respectfully.
"Yes, Stoppable-San. It had come for you to start your training with Yori and her cousin, Hirotaka." Sensei states.
"Training? For what?" Ron inquires.
"It is time to tell you Stoppable-san, is that the Lotus Blade has picked the Chosen One." Sensei told him as Ron stood in a pause.
"W-what? Chosen One?" Ron exclaims as he breaths in and out "Okay, is this one of those Japanese prank shows or something?"
"It is no joke, Stoppable-san." Sensei told him as Hirotaka brings out a wrapped up object as he unwraps it for his sensei to pick up and rise "Now, hold this sword."
Ron did as his Sensei told as he held the sword in his hands, as a golden light which Ron looked surprised as it glows.
"M-me? A chosen one?" Ron exhaled as he drops the sword "I-I think there's been a mistake. I mean, I'm just some guy who's labeled a loser, and has a fear of monkeys. But not the band the Monkees as a matter of fact. I think the sword chose the wrong guy."
"No Stoppable-san, the Lotus Blade never chose wrong." Sensei told in a wisdom voice.
Yori then spoke "The blade has the ability to vanquish evil spirits, Yokai, and it can even exorcise demons from its host."
"But I'm not some Buffy or Blade dude. I'm just some happy to go lucky fella who's afraid of monkeys." Ron stammers.
"Then we CN's train you out of that fear." Sensei assured the blond boy.
"How or why would you do such a thing?" Ron asks the man.
"Because you are the Monkey Master." Sensei tells the boy. "You will be taught our ways. The way of the ninja."
"N-Ninja?" Ron repeats in shock.
"Yes Stoppable-San a ninja. That is the purpose of this school. To train ninjas." Sensei informs the slack jawed American boy.
"L-Let's do it." Ron states in shock.
Unknown to them, a certain student overhears the conversation as he clench his fist.
'They chose this outsider as the Chosen One!?' Fukushima thought as he narrows his eyes towards Ron.
/
Ron and Yori head down to the training ground where Ron witness all of the students training, like ninjas.
"This is so cool." Ron said as he looks around "I bet Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee trained here."
"They did." said Hirotaka who confronts the two "I'm Hirotaka, Yori's itoko."
"Itoko?" Ron asked.
"He is my cousin, Stoppable-san." Yori answered.
"What's up, dude." Ron greets the large Japanese man who looks at the hand for a second before grabbing it.
"Nothing much, Stoppable-San. I'm just waiting to start your training." Hirotaka replies with a grin.
"Cool." Ron says to his new personal trainer as a nervous feeling appears in his stomach. 'So my trainers are the dude and Yori? I hope this goes well.'
15 minutes of training later, Ron ends up in the floor 9 times than an average person could handle.
"You really need to work on your reflexes." Hirotaka told him "But with some practice, you'll work on with your reflexes you'll be in the average level."
"Itoko, I think we should have Ron do the training one step at a time." Yori advised as Hirotaka sigh.
"Alright, alright. He's a Genie after all." he said "Let's have him carry some buckets of water over his neck."
/
Three hours later Ron finds himself carrying four buckets of water over his neck as he walks up the trail to the school on a set of legs that feel like he is about to collapse on himself.
"You are almost there, Stoppable-San." Yori encourages as she walks along the boy while her cousin waits at the school's entrance.
"You said that one hour ago, Yori." Ron whimpers as he uses all of his will not to drop to his knees.
Ron uses all of his might to not drop the buckets of water as he saw a glimpse of the school. 'Just a few more miles, and I'm one step further...' he thought as he hears a roar which startles him as he picks up is footing to run really fast "Lions! There are lions near!"
'He must've heard the mountain lions daily roar from the mountains.' Yori thought as she saw the inhuman speed Ron ran while holding the buckets 'But it helps Stoppable-san's motivation.'
/
Hirotaka is enjoying the sounds of the mountain lions when he peers down to see the Chosen One running at him like a bat out of hell.
'The Chosen One is a very fast runner.' Hirotaka observes as he sees just how fast the blond is when he stops right in from of him gently drops the buckets on the ground and then continues to run.
'He didn't even spill the water!?' Hirotaka notes in complete shock. 'He truly is the Chosen One.'
"Where did Stoppable-San go?" Yori questions as she approaches her cousin. "He outran me."
"He dropped the water and just ran off." Hirotaka replies as he points at the water. "Observe."
"Impressive." Yori comments.
"Well, bring him to the medical bay and have him prepare for the next course of training." HIrotaka states as he chuckled "For tomorrow, he shall learn to jump on rooftops at the Riku District."
"The Riku District? But that place is abandoned years ago because of the mosquitoes and wasps populating the area." Yori states worryingly as he picks up the shocked Ron and throws his arm around her shoulder.
"Don't worry about it; I'm sure he'll survive." Hirotaka states.
"No wonder why all of the genin didn't want you to be their teacher, you're a complete sadist." Yori deadpans.
"The sadist jounin of the school is what I'm dubbed for." Hirotaka interjects as they both walk into the school.
/
Months of hellish training has given Ron more than what he could chew. Hirotaka, or as Ron would like to call him "Hiro," was a sadist and a slave-driver but at the same time a cool and playful man who makes Ron either like the guy, or hate him.
"And I thought Ms. Rouge from 5th grade was a sadist." Ron states as he is tired out after having to fight a panda that somehow knows kung fu.
"Stoppable-San. I have a mission for you and Yori." Sensei states as he scares Ron who was meditating.
"AAAH!" Ron screams as he falls off the pole that he was meditating on.
"Yori and you will go after four jade monkey statues that are very important to the school." Sensei adds as he hides a snicker from the young man.
"I understand, Sensei. But are you sure that I am the best choice for this mission?" Ron questions his sensei.
"You are the best and only option, Stoppable-San." Sensei replies with a smirk.
"Alright, let's find those jaded statues." Ron quipped as he looks determined.
