Chapter Sixteen- Crystal's Date
Crystal wakes up from her pleasant night dreams of a certain blond boy with a neutral smile on her face and she groans. "Aaag, I need caffeine and I need it bad." She groans as she stumbles out of bed and slowley makes her way to the kitchen to prepare her morning cup of coffee. "I have my date with Ron tonight, and like always I cannot think because I'm so tired." She comments to herself before she smells coffee in the air. "What is that smell? I thought I was the only one who drank coffee?"
"You are girl, but I just thought sense you can't function for the day without coffee that I would make it for you so you are preppy for your date with my boyfriend." Monique tells the sluggish girl who lazily smiles at her.
"Thanks Mon, I need this." Crystal responds as she takes the cup and takes in the beverage's rich aroma before taking the liquid into her mouth which kick starts her mind and body into overdrive.
"Crystal, is dating that Ron Stoppable person?" Amelia asks as she and the dorm's resident genius appear in the doorway.
"You are dating, Ronald?" Justine asks in a slight shock.
"Well we aren't dating, dating. No it's more like we are going on a date with Roonie to see if we should start dating." Crystal rushes her answer as the caffeine kicks in and she feels like she can go nine rounds with Mike Tyson and come out the victor.
"And...you are okay with this?" Justine asks the black girl.
"Okay with what?" Monique asks the blond girl.
"With her dating Ronald." Justine clarifies.
"Yeah, girl." Monique responds with a smirk. "If the other girls and Ron don't mind then is it really a problem?"
"Though it does sound reasonably logical..." Justine starts as she gets reality in thought. "Wait...isn't that just polygamy?"
"We're not married to the guy, but we are dating him." Monique states to the brainy girl. "Great, I think I put too much coffee on Crystal's coffee."
"Can someone contain this girl!?" Amelia asked as all Crystal does is bounce around the room while Amelia tries to get her from breaking anything.
"Ron's going to have a blast with her." Monique comments as she tries to calm the girl down.
"Ron, there are many warnings you need to know when taking Crystal on a date." Hope tells him as she straightens out her boyfriend's shirt collar.
"Oh so what she's a bit manic, I can handle a manic pixie chick." Ron replies as he gets ready for his date with Crystal.
"No." Hope sighs to her boyfriend. "She is very lazy and sluggish in the mornings, but once she gets her morning cup of coffee she is her normal self." She explains as she sees the blond boy nod his head in understanding. "Under no circumstances should she be allowed to have too much caffeine...or...well let's just say that she will go bananas on you."
"So what you're saying is that she shouldn't have any coffee or any kind of liquids that have a high amount of caffeine?" Ron inquires with a tilt of his head.
"Yes." Hope responds. "That shouldn't stop you from dating her or even being her friend, but you should know that little peive of information."
"That is good to know. Maybe I should take her to that new pizzeria downtown." Ron comments to his girlfriend who nods her head. "Everybody likes pizza, right?"
"Crystal is a pizza maniac. I'm surprised by how good of shape she is in at how much pizza she eats." Hope replies with a smile on her lips. "Make sure you have a coat, Ron. It's snowing today and I don't want a sick boyfriend who I can't even kiss."
"She is correct, Ron-Kun." Yori agrees as she enters the kitchen.
"Don't worry ladies, I'll show Crystal a good time at the Pizzeria while being healthy as a panda." Ron replies with a confident smile as he kisses Hope and Yori on the lips.
"Remember to take my big sister on a date next time." Yori whispers to him as Ron nods his head.
"If she agrees." Ron replies as he hears the doorbell ring, rapidly.
"What is that?" Ron inquires as he fails to notices Hope's eyes widen.
"I think that is Crystal-San." Yori states with a shrug.
"I got it!" Kim calls out as she opens the door and gets ran down by the hyper girl who is still in her pj's. "Ouch."
"Hihihihihi!" Crystal greets as she starts breathing fast and her hands twitch. "Wwwaytomuchcoffee."
"Good lord." Hope sighs as she steers her best friend to the kitchen. "Ron, if you could ask Monique to bring over some clothes for Crystal, I can get her...unhyper."
"Sure." Ron complies as he walks to his room where he left his cell phone.
Ron went to his room as Rufus hands him his phone. "Thanks buddy." He said as he dials Monique's number. "Hey Mon, it's-"
"Have you seen Crystal!? She ran out of the dorm without proper wear." Monique frantically asks her boyfriend over the phone.
"She's here at my dorm, Monique." Ron reassures her. "Did she have too much sugar in her coffee?"
"About one package." Monique states with a sigh.
"Only one?" Ron questions.
"Yes, I've never made her coffee before and apparently one is too much. Justine was kind enough to inform me that she takes her coffee black with no suger or creamers." Monique replies as she heads down to the dorm to bring Crystal her clothes while speaking Ron over the phone. "I'm heading on my way."
"With clothes I presume?" Ron inquires over the phone when he hears a chuckle.
"Yes, Ron. Unless you want her running around in her pj's?" Monique asks her boyfriend.
"I don't think that will be appropriate at the pizzeria." Ron replies when his girlfriend laughs and hangs up chuckling out her goodbye. "Crystal sure is a unique person."
"Fun! Fun!" Rufus cheers with a thumb up to the blond boy.
"Monique should be here soon." Hope reassures her best friend who had by far calmed down and was embarrassed to have her date seen her care bears pj's. "At least you didn't wear your footsies pajamas."
"Ron, can never find out about those!" Crystal shrieks with a massive blush.
"Find out about what?" Ron asks as he enters the kitchen. "Monique, is one her way. She was already heading out when I called."
"That's good." Crystal comments as she hides her pj's behind her best friend's body. "Now why don't be a good boy and leave the room until I can change clothes."
"What? Why?" Ron asks in confusion.
"She's doesn't want you to see her in her pjs, Ron. So go in the other room." Hope tells him as Yori pulls Ron into his room so Crystal can change clothes when Monique comes in.
"Crystal, please promise me that you'll stay away from caffeine during your date with Ron." Hope pleads to the hyperactive girl.
"Of course, I'll just have to make my own coffee next time." Crystal replies to her friend as they wait for Monique came in with clothes.
/
"Alright, I got your choice of clothes from Club Banana." Monique states as she brings her Lion King gag full of Crystal's clothes. "All for the cold season."
"You are a life saver, Mon." Crystal stats as she hugs the girl and then runs into her best friend's room to change her clothes.
A few minutes later Crystal came back out to the kitchen/front room to see her date for the day dressed in his regular slacks, but black with a black dress shirt. 'Yummy.' She thinks as she makes her presence known. "Hey guys."
Ron looks up at his date and his pleased to see the girl is wearing regular clothes now and not her pj's. "You are looking very nice today, Crystal." He comments as he takes in the view of her in a blue skirt that reaches her kneea, white tank top, a charmander belt, and black sneakers. 'She really likes cartoons.'
"Thanks Ron, now let's go grab some pizza!" Crystal reply as she drags Ron to his car as they head out of the dorm.
"That boy's getting his hands full with Crystal." Monique states.
"Well let's hope it ends on a high note." Hope replies as she prays that her best friend doesn't drink any caffeine and freak her boyfriend out.
At the Pizzeria, Ron and Crystal enters the building as the manic girl spot a table next to one of the flat screens as it plays 'Professor Paradox' while the other plays football.
"Ooh, let's sit and watch Professor Paradox over there!" Crystal suggests.
"You watch Professor P too? Oh man that was my favorite show in the universe!" Ron states as he remembers watching the British show as a kid "Who's playing the new incarnation of the Professor now?"
"Tom Kane." Crystal replied with a smile of glee. "His new companions are two cousins name Ben and Gwen, and a mechanic name Kevin who was a criminal but now turn good with the alien constable name Rook. Right now Ben is the most popular of the Paradoxians community." She explained as they head down to their table watching the sci-fi show.
"Can I get your order?" Asks a tall blond headed teen in the Pizzeria's work uniform. Ron knew the guy as Junior, from Mr. Dementor's class. "Ron? What are you doing here with the cheerleader? "
"She's my date, Junior." Ron replies as he notices the shocked face of his fellow classmate.
"The rumors are true." Junior confirms. "I owe Vinnie twenty bucks."
"Are people really doing that?" Ron asks in a slight blush which the tall teen nods his head yes. "Well, that is just great."
"It could be worse." Junior comments.
"How?" Ron inquires.
"The rumors about you being Justine Beaver's stunt double could be true." Junior informs with a shrug which just confuses the smaller blond teen. "What can I get you two?"
"One large pep..per...oni pizza with two glasses for drinks." Ron orders as he looks to his date to see if she is okay with the pizza, she nods yes.
"Your order will be up in roughly forty minute, Ron. Enjoy your date." Junior tells the blond as he walks off.
"Who's Justine Beaver?" Ron asks.
"Eh, I don't know. Some girl who got famous for fifteen minutes." Crystal replies to her blond date.
After five minutes, Ron and Crystal received their drinks as they got their pepperoni pizza. "Dig in, this pizza's more famous here than Papa John's." Junior states as he leaves.
"Thanks, Junior!" Ron told him as he eats a slice as he comments "This pizza's delicious!"
He watches as his date takes her first bite into her pizza and moans with delight. "I see you like it."
Crystal blushes as she feels so embarrassed in front of her date. 'Ron, will never be my boyfriend at this rate.' "I do." The Hispanic girl answers as she swallows her pizza and smirks. "Best pizza, ever. I'm surprised that I haven't been here before."
"When is the best time to try new things than a date." Ron asks the girl.
"Anytime." Crystal argues. "What if that new experience is terrible and it ruins the date?"
"That is true." Ron agrees with a slight frown before it turns into a smirk. "But I will need to prove my theory."
"How so?" Crystal asks.
"What haven't you done yet?" Ron questions.
"Let's see, cute ideas for a first date." Crystal starts as she thinks. "Never had an ice cream kiss, never had a good first date...until now, and I have not had a first kiss."
"We can take care of the first and last one after this and get some pizza real quick." Ron comments as they eat their third slice of pizza.
The two then went down to one slice as they look at it on the plate. "Your slice." Crystal offers her date.
"No, our slice." Ron replies as he holds the pizza sideways as Crystal held the pizza with him. The two then take the bite out of the large pizza as after two bites their lips made contact.
'omygod, omygod, omygod!' Crystal thinks in delight as she for the first time kiss the boy she likes. 'My first kiss and pizza kiss!'
"May not be a ice cream kiss, but I think that a pizza kiss is way more badical." Ron states in a slight blush as his date just practically turns red.
"An ice cream kiss can wait for another time." Crystal dreamily sighs as she still feels the foreign lips on her own. 'Best day of my life.'
"So does that mean that you want more dates?" Ron asks with a ghost of a smirk of his lips.
"That I do." Crystal responds as she splits the crust in half and pops half into her mouth and hands the other to her date.
Crystal was thinking of doing something as she spots a small arcade room inside the restaurant. "Let's go to the arcade!"
"Now you're speaking my language, Crystal." Ron replied as the two went to the small arcade room to play some arcade games.
"I have a great time, Ron!" Crystal states as they head to Crystal's dorm "Thanks for giving me a fun time, Ron."
"Crystal, it was all my pleasure." Ron replies as he walks up to the door as they hold hands and they both fail to see his date's dorm mates watching them from the window. "Have a good night rest Crystal, and I'll see you tomorrow or on Monday before classes start."
"I can't wait." Crystal responds as they share one last kiss before she enters her dorm and slumps with her back against the door and her date gets into his care and rives away.
"So." Monique starts.
"How was your date with Ronald?" Justine finishes as she feels oddly complied to ask her dorm mate.
"It was super! We went to the Pizzeria and order some pepperoni, did you know Junior Grapes worked there, and then we have a pizza kiss and then we play at the arcade and now I'm tired." Crystal explains as she then slump to fall asleep on the couch.
"Well, better help her up." Monique states as she helps up Crystal and head down to her room.
"It's only ten pm and Crystal is tired?" Justine asks herself as she drinks a cup of tea that she made before her dorm mate came back from her date. "Interesting."
"How was the date?" Hope questions as she itches to know if her best friend had a good time or not.
"All things considered I think it went well. She asked for more dates." Ron informs as he takes a seat by the girl who then rests her head on his shoulder. "I think she is my new girlfriend."
"So she didn't get too much sugar in her?" Hope questions as she looks to see netflix being pulled up. "What are you doing?"
"I wanna watch some of this show called Arrow before I go to sleep. Are you okay with that show?" Ron replies as he looks at his girlfriend when Tara, Bonnie, and Yori walk through the front door.
"Never seen it." Hope shrugs.
"Neither have I. Felix said that it is a awesome show." Ron responds as he starts the very first episode.
