Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars, sadly. All I own is my Nova, Luna and my plot.
I woke up to the sound of an alarm going off. I quickly sat up, my natural instinct making me jump up. I heard a groan from the bunk above me. All of a sudden the door to our room opens and a female Noorian sticks her head in.
"Both of you get up. You have four minutes to get yourselves out side before I leave and you're on your own." She all but growled at us, then slammed the door behind her. I slowly walked to the bathroom. After two minutes I came out, clean and awake. I look up to see Luna still sleeping. With a sigh I climb the ladder and shook her. The only response I got was a sleepy moan. I shook her again this time harder.
"Go away!" She said. At this point we had less than two minutes left. "Get up." I gave a little punch on her arm. Finally she opened her eyes. She looked like she wanted to murder someone. "We have one minute to get out the door so hurry up!" I said as I jumped down the ladder. I ran over to the clothes they had given us. At first I couldn't tell how to put the layered clothes on but I figured it out eventually. By this time we had about twenty seconds to get out. Luna had just gotten out of the bathroom. "We have 10 seconds! Hurry!" I said as I rushed to the door. She threw her clothes on quickly while running towards me. I opened the door just as the Jedi walked in our direction. "It's about time. I was just leaving." She muttered. "I'm sorry Jedi..." I trailed off looking for a name.
"Master Tahl." She replied curtly. I started again "I'm sorry Master Tahl, it won't happen again." "No. No, it won't." She said dangerously. With that said she started to walk off. I shared a quick glance with Luna. I could tell she was feeling the same thing I was about this cold woman. We started to walk behind her as she pointed out certain things. "That's the cafeteria, you will eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner there." She said as she quickly walk over to get three jogans. She threw two at us. "We are late as it is so you will have to eat on the way. Maybe next time-"
"Tahl!" She was cut off by a tall man with a boy trailing behind him. "I was looking for you this morning. Where were you?" The tall man asked. She moved aside revealing us. "I got stuck with initiate duty. The little brats almost made me late." She said with disdain. The man turned to us. "Tell me younglings, what are your names?" I immediately liked this man. His voice was warm and gentle. I didn't know how or why I could tell but I knew he was honest and trustworthy. Later I would find that it was his force signature I was reading.
"My name is Nova Tenebris." I replied. "Luna Fiducia." Was Luna's very simple statement. "May I ask your name?" I inquired, tilting my head in question. The man smiled. "My name is Qui-Gon Jinn. My padawans name is-" Qui-Gon was interrupted by the boy behind him. "Obi-Wan Kenobi." I looked at him. He was older than me. If I had to guess I would say he was about twelve maybe thirteen years old. "Hello." I said brightly. "Hello, little one." He said in my native tongue. My narrow eyeris grew wide. "You speak my language?" I ask in amazement. "Only a little. I used to have a friend who spoke it." I smiled at him, showing my pointed teeth. He did not flinch like most but did the opposite, he smiled back.
Someone cleared there throat. I looked around to see Qui-Gon watching the exchang with interest, Luna looking bored, and Tahl giving me the death glare. "If you two could stop staring and start speaking Standard we might not be late." She snapped. This gets my attention. "Master Tahl where exactly are you taking us?" I ask suspiciously. "Your a bit old to become initiates so the council will decide if you are worth putting the... Extra effort into." She turned to Qui-Gon. "I'll catch up to you later, hopefully after I drop the dead weigh." A quick glance in our direction confirmed that the 'Dead weight' was us. "I will see you then. Also please try to be pleasant for once." He said with a sigh. "I can't make promises I can't keep." She said with a laugh. With that we walked away.
...
"No." I said firmly for what felt like the tenth time. Currently I was glaring daggers and one of the Jedi on the council, or rather what he held in his hand. In one hand he held a scanner of some sorts, in the other he held a needle.
"It will only be a pinch." He tried reassuringly. "Never." Tahl rolled her eyes. "Give me the thing." She said. The man did as he was told and handed it over. After snatching it from his hand she walked towards me. I didn't think just reacted; my hand flew up. Tahl was pushed across the room and onto the ground. The council stared with their eyes wide, but I wasn't looking at them, I was looking at my hands. What had I just done? From behind I felt a prick on my leg.
"Ow!" I jumped back, startled out of my daze. A little green man held a needle in his hand. It was filled with my blood. "Powerful, you are. Learn just how powerful, we must." He said as he put the blood in the scanner. When it beeped he gave me a strange look. "16,000"He announced simply to the council. For the second time that day they looked at me in shock. I was starting to feel like a prize animal that had just been won. "That means what?" I ask looking around. A female twi'lek spoke. "It means you are well worth the extra effort." I turn to the little green man. "Welcome to training, young one." He said.
Authors Notes: To clear things up most Jedi have between 5,000 to 12,000 midi-chlorians. There are a few with 13,000 like Obi-Wan and Count Dooku and even fewer with 14,000 like Luke and Leia Skywalker. Master Yoda has 17,700. Palpatine has 20,000 and Anakin has 27,000 but then again he is the chosen one. Luna has around 14,000 but as you will see in later chapters she dose not use them to there full potential. Anyways please Review!
