Chapter 4:
Shadow was running as fast as he could with Sticks in his arms.
Sticks: Think Sonic and the other are there already?
Shadow: I hope so, they probably rushed the moment they spotted Eggman, and they are probably already fighting him.
Meanwhile at team irony
Sonic: We are still so damn lost!
Amy: good thing Eggman just happen to fly in top of us, I am sure Sticks and Shadow can buy us time.
Sonic: we can't let them do this alone! We need to get out of here!
Amy: at least we can't blame anyone, right knuckles?
Knuckles: Hey! If you want your candy so much Tails can just go buy you some!
Amy: maybe you missed the part where WE GOT ALL LOST IN THE FOREST!
Knuckles: yeah, but tails can fly can't he?
After a few second of awkward silence, Sonic, Amy and tails all face palmed themselves.
Tails: I am going to get the tornado, see you guys in a bit.
And he flew off.
Knuckles: Don't forget the candy!
Back to the Odd couple
Shadow and sticks arrived near the volcano, and waited for a while.
Sticks: What's taking them so long?
Shadow: what's the point of being the fastest thing alive if you are late! And where is Eggman too?
Sticks: I am sure he is perfecting his diabolical plan!
Meanwhile at the fast food of irony
Eggman was arguing with Dave the intern about the Cheese burger he served him.
Eggman: I have allergies to lactose, I don't want any cheese!
Dave: then why did you want a cheese burger?
Eggman: because I love cheese burgers! But not with cheese!
Dave: you mean a burger?
Eggman: NO I mean a cheese burger with no chees!
Orbot: Dr Eggman, don't you think we should head to the volcano?
Eggman: we are just throwing some bombs, how hard can it be?
Yadi yadi yada Volcano
Around 10 Minutes later, Eggman finally flew to the volcano, where he was greeted by Shadow and Sticks.
Eggman: This time you won't stop me sonic! ... Oh Shadow, sorry but you guys look so much alike.
Shadow: No We Don't!
Eggman: Anyway, where is he?
Shadow: he is not here yet, but WE can keep you company!
Eggman: Okay then, prepare to… I am sorry I can't do that without sonic to witness my evil, it would be useless! I am just gonna wait.
Shadow and Sticks looked at each other, A bit confused. Then looked back at Eggman and got in battle stands.
Shadow: Chaos Spear!
But Eggman managed to dodge the spear.
Eggman: You'll have to do better than that.
Shadow: I am just getting started Egghead.
Eggman: ALL SYSTEMS! FULL POWER!
Then the Bombe Eggle launched a bunch of missiles at them.
Sticks: RULES OF NATURE!
They both started jumping on the missiles to the Bombe Eggle. Shadow arrived just in front of the cockpit.
Shadow: Chaos Spear!
His attack broke Eggman's Cockpit's glass. At that moment Stick jumped right on Eggman and started beating the living hell out of his face.
Eggman: GET HER OFF! GET HER OFF!
Orbot used an energy gun on sticks, making her fall from the Eggle. Shadow saw her falling; and tried to leap and grab her.
But at that moment, the tornado came by and Sticks was caught by Amy who was sitting on the back sit.
Sonic was on the right wing, and shadow let himself land on the left one.
Shadow: you took your time.
Sonic: this won't become a habit, I promise.
Sticks: where is knuckle?
Sonic: look down.
Knuckles used a catapult to launch himself on the Eggle, Effectively destroying its left wing, the robot started falling, Eggman Ejected himself once more.
Tails: The robot is gonna fall into the volcano!
Amy: not this time! If we can all hit at the same time we can change his crash course!
Sonic: think you can get us to him fast enough?
Tails: don't worry, I was taught by the fastest.
He went full speed to the still falling robot.
Sonic: you're ready?
Shadow: as always.
They were just in front of the robot.
Amy: now!
Sonic, Shadow, Sticks and Amy all jumped and attacked the robot. Sonic with his speed attack, Shadow with a punch, sticks with a kick, and Amy with her Hammer, The robot was launched far away.
Tails: I hope it doesn't fall in any place important.
After the battle, they all regrouped on the floor.
Sonic: good job everyone! We all did it!
Tails: as a team as always.
Shadow: I have to admit, you guys are not bad.
Knuckles: not bad? I would say like REALLY not bad.
Sticks: we couldn't have done it without you either.
Sonic: my proposition to join the team is still open shadow.
Amy: yeah! Please be part of our team!
Tails: it would be awesome to have you again.
Knuckles: Bro once, bro forever.
Sticks: So, think you can give it another shot?
Shadow looked at all of them then formulated his answer.
Shadow: everyone… I… I can't.
Sonic: but…
Shadow: don't insist, I will be going now.
And he did, walking into the forest again.
Sticks: he is gonna come around, I just know it. And I am always right.
Amy: did you learn what you wanted from him?
Sticks: I sure did.
Amy: …are you gonna tell me?
Sticks: I sure won't.
Amy: Oh Common!
Knuckles: Bros before hedgehoes Amy.
And they all started laughing except for Amy.
At the same moment; the Eggle fell on an ancient tomb somewhere on distant island. Destroying it into ruins and from that ruin raised a ghost hedgehog like form.
