Chapter 14
As we were walking along looking at the different venues, we had picked up a few things. There was over 30 farmers selling different things. Spencer picked up some unique paintings, they were of sunsets and barns in meadows. I noticed the welder Jake was here selling some stuff. i stepped on Spencer's shoulder.
"I'll be over there" I pointed to jake, she nodded and carried on with looking around.
I walked over and waved at a few townspeople that I have known over the years. Once I got to Jake, I looked over some of his cow bells.
"I have some more in the back"
"Thanks" I turned and walked over the the different tools, and ran my hands over them. It might be weird to everyone but farm tools made me feel close to him.
"I still have some of his stuff, if you're interested in having them" I shook my head, and put my hands in my pockets.
I started to walk towards the marker to find Spencer, I was glad she was enjoying her self. It didn't take long till I saw her through the crowd. I stood there and watched as she talked to the people and laughed. Her smile was so beautiful, her laugh brought a smile to my face. I walked over to her and put my hand on her back gently.
"You ready?" she nodded and said good bye to the women she was talking to, as we walked I couldn't help but let our hands brush against each other.
"Do you like going to these farmers markets?"
"I do, I use to go to them a lot as a kid" When we get to the jeep, I open her door. I take her stuff and put it in the back, and make sure to not break her stuff.
"Why did you stop" I get in the jeep and start it up, putting it in gear and driving back to Spencers.
"I never really stopped, I just never really think of going"
"Well do they only happen on Saturdays?" I nodded.
"Will you come with me next Saturday?" I thought about it for a second, then looked over at her.
"Yes"
When we got back to Spencer's, I helped put her stuff in the house . She was thankful for the day out so she made me lunch again. Spencer was really good at cooking, and sometimes when I moaned over the taste I saw her eyes widen. I couldn't help but smile a little. When we were done she said wanted to go clean up a little before we headed over to my house for the fire. I told her I would wait outside. I stood on the deck and looked around her yard.
"I'm going over to your Uncle Jacks, Would you like to come?" I smiled at my father and nodded.
"Only if I can drive dad"
"I don't know, you just got your licence"
"Please daddy!" my father laughed and through me his keys.
"Yes!" I walked out of the house and ran towards the truck, jumping in and turning it on. Days like these kept my life clean and healthy.
I shooked my head out of the flashback as I heard the front door being shut, I smiled as I saw how beautiful she looked. Her hair was down and flowing over her shoulders as she had UCLA sweater on that clung to her body very loose.
"Is this okay for tonight?" I nodded and walked towards her.
"Ya, if you get too cold just let me know and I'll give you something heavier to wear" she nodded and turned towards the jeep.
"I can't help but wonder, I hope this isn't too out there but ummm...is this a date Ashley?" I quickly looked up at her eyes and bit my lip.
"Would you care if it was Spencer?" I took a step down to where I was leveled to her eyes,
"No" I nodded
"Well how about tonight can be whatever" she nodded slowly and looked into my eyes and gently intertwine our fingers.
"Sounds perfect"
