Author's Note: So, I was home sick today and yesterday, which means that I had a lot of free time on my hands X3 When I couldn't clean anymore, I decided to alleviate my boredom by writing a little bit, so that is why you actually have a chapter being published... Well, more on time than usual XD Anywho, here is the next chapter and I hope you guys enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it :3 This chapter is slightly shorter than the rest, simply because I know the next chapter is going to be pretty long and I really don't want to drag this one out XD

P.S. I'm thinking of starting a contest for all of my lovely readers to write a KakshixErza fic of some kind X3 Mainly just to raise awareness for this pairing, but also because I would love to read some of your work :D If people like the idea, I'll give everyone the information in the next chapter :3 I'm sure you're all better writers than me, so I'd love to see what you guys can do :)

Kunai and fire seemed to have no effect on Efrain, and the vines would keep coming back unless he managed to get rid of the one creating them. Deciding that he had to hurry up and get rid of one of them, he reluctantly set his mind on the one technique that could pass through anything, even silver.

As Kakashi dodged the silver man and the various vines, he began to increase the speed of his movements in hopes of finding an opening. Setting his sights to the space behind Efrain, it took him only a second to perform a quick Body Flicker, appearing behind him as his hand began to glow with a blue light. The sound of pure electricity could be heard by all as he aimed it for the dark wizards stomach, his hand moving quickly, "Lightning Blade!" he shouted as the attack connected, passing through his silver-like skin with ease.

The other man froze; eyes wide as he looked down to see the hand protruding from his stomach. The moment Kakashi moved away he collapsed, his skin changing back to its original form as he clutched at his stomach. "Efrain!" Natalya shouted, her own eyes wide with worry as she gazed at her guild mate in horror.

Erza seemed intrigued by the lightning technique, silently wondering why he hadn't used such a thing when he had battled her. The she realized she probably wouldn't be around if he had, and was able to forgive him fairly quickly. The move was obviously very powerful, and it probably took a lot of his chakra to use it.

The ninja was unable to rest for long, Natalya sending the vines at a more murderous pace. "How dare you!" She screeched, the thorns seeming to grow longer as a dark aura seemed to surround them. He was quick enough to dodge them, however, and it didn't take long for her to notice this.

Fine. If I can't hit him, I'll just have to try another approach. She thought with a faint smirk, the vines branching off as another set made its way towards Erza, the wizard unable to move fast enough to dodge them. Just as they were about to reach them, Kakashi performed another quick Body Flicker, appearing beside her before quickly pulling her out of them. Of course, they were now 'unintentionally' embracing, but Kakashi could've imagined worse.

"Thank you, Kakashi." Erza nodded as she pushed him away, cheeks red from the encounter.

The ninja grinned, "No problem. You'll just have to pay me back later on. I'm sure I can think of a suitable payment." He assured her as the blush deepened, the both of them barely managing to avoid the plants that cut in between them as Natalya grew impatient.

"You two make such an adorable couple… I'm so glad you're going to die together." The dark mage sneered, now aiming for them both. Erza wasn't as fast as he was without her specialized armor, but she was able to hold her own against the weaving mess of vines. A few would branch off, here and there, as they aimed for other members of their group, but it was fairly easy to avoid them.

Grunting as one of the thorns sliced through his shoulder, he quickly reached into his coat to pull out a small scroll, biting his thumb before making a line of blood on said scroll. Rolling it back up with ease, he quickly performed a series of hand signs before placing his hand on the ground, numerous intricate circles appearing around him, "Summoning Earth Style: Fang Pursuit Jutsu!"

Natalya seemed perplexed when nothing happened at first, leading her to laugh at his 'failed' attempt. "Oh, I'm sorry. Was that merely meant to intimidate me? If so-" Her words were cut off however as ninken appeared out of the earth below her, simultaneously latching onto her in order to keep her from moving.

Natsu pumped his fist in victory, shouting enthusiastically, "Oh yeah! Go Kakashi!"

The others all displayed various levels of excitement and pride at his move, and Erza found herself smiling fondly at the ninja that stood before her. Turns out he had saved her life once again, and she couldn't be more grateful for the fact that he had also saved her friends this time around.

Kakashi wished he could join in on their enthusiasm, but he knew the ninken wouldn't be able to hold her forever. Performing a few more hand signs, he quickly moved to make sure she wouldn't be able to attack them anymore, "Earth Style: Headhunter Jutsu."

Within moments, the dogs let go of her and the ninja was able to pull her into the earth, only her head remaining visible. "Don't worry, I'm sure you're friends will be able to get you out later." He said with an almost mocking smile, enjoying her look of fury and shock a little too much.

Standing up, he finally turned towards the remaining guild member, locking eyes with the one named Gavin. He was visibly shaken, obviously not having any actual fighting skills, and it didn't take long for him to fall to his knees, releasing the spell as he silently begged for his life.

"I have no interest in hurting you. Just show me where the Old Man from the shop is being kept and I'll let you go free." He assured him with a soothing tone, and it didn't take long for him to obey. After leading them below the guild hall and directing them to the old man's cell, he returned to the main room to begin helping his teammates so that they could escape.

The Old Man was bruised and quite obviously in fairly bad condition, but it didn't seem to be too serious as Kakashi ordered Gray to use his Ice Make magic to recreate a key and save them the trouble of having to cut through it. Besides, Kakashi was running low on chakra at this point and didn't really want to use much more of it.

"Thank you so much… Though I must admit I'm surprised you made it back here so quickly." The man chuckled as he was helped out of the cell by Natsu, gaze trained on Erza.

She frowned in response, "Yes, well, the book is actually what we were going to talk to you about. If you weren't in this condition I would demand answers immediately, but as it stands it's more important to get you to a safer location so that Wendy can heal you."

Leaving behind a screeching Natalya as Gavin tried to find a way to dig her out of the guild floors, they moved a few miles back towards Fairy Tail before deciding it was safe to stop and Natsu put the man down for Wendy to begin using her healing magic. As Kakashi leaned against a nearby tree and watched, he finally noticed how numb his shoulder had gotten since they'd left, and discovered that he couldn't even move it at this point. Worried that he was right about the vines, he began to inspect the cut for anything out of the ordinary, and was almost sick when he noticed a bright purple substance that seemed to be replacing his blood.

Erza must've noticed his expression and headed over; beginning to ask what was wrong before noticing the problem herself. Grabbing his arm, she quickly gestured to Wendy, "Quick, Kakashi's been poisoned." She explained unnecessarily, the girl immediately leaving the man to begin purifying the nasty cut the ninja had received.

Was Kakashi worried that he'd been poisoned? Yes, of course he was. However, his brain seemed to latch onto the fact that Erza was worried about him and it only caused him to smile like a fool as he noticed her concerned expression, the usually calm woman on edge as she watched Wendy's progress like a hawk.

"I know how you can repay me back now… You know, for saving your life and all…" he pointed out nonchalantly, eyeing her to see the reaction that would cross her face.

The wizard seemed to be jerked out of her thoughts as she started at his words, eyes meeting his with a confused blink, "Oh? How do you propose I repay you?" She asked, completely innocently as she crossed her arms. She expected something like, 'buy me cake' or 'do my laundry for a week', not what he was actually going to offer.

"One kiss." He suggested, raising an eyebrow as he held up a finger on his good hand.

Erza's expression went from shocked to mortified as a blush brightened her cheeks, becoming even more horrified at the fact that everyone had been able to hear him.

Wendy giggled, trying to focus on healing him despite her obvious interest in the couple. Lucy gasped at the sudden offer, practically squealing as she squeezed Natsu and kept saying how cute Erza was when she was embarrassed and how this was so going in her novel and blah blah blah…

Gajeel facepalmed while Gray merely shrugged it off, not really concerned with 'lovey dovey' stuff, and of course Happy had to put in his own two cents. "He's in loooovvveee…." He whispered to Carla, earning a huff of annoyance from the other cat.

Practically shaking with anger at this point and her face beat red from embarrassment, Erza gritted her teeth as she made a fist, "Kakashi…" She growled, connecting her fist with his face despite his injury. Wendy's eyes went wide with fear as she quickly moved away, the dark aura coming off of the red-haired wizard enough to scare her.

The ninja rubbed his face as he cried with pain, wondering where he could've gone wrong with that one. It seemed like the perfect plan. I mean, a smooth line like that would've worked on any other girl… It had taken him this entire time just to come up with it! Why'd she have to hit him so hard anyway?

"Right. Now, Old Man, I demand answers." The wizard then turned to the old man, her face still red as she crossed her arms, giving the man her signature, 'refuse and I swear to god…' look.

Sweatdropping, he quickly moved to explain, "Uh, sure, as you probably know from my shop's sign, my name is Salgado." He began, "Now what exactly were you wanting to know?"
