Nathan witnesses Elizabeth on the dance floor with Lucas. They exchange a look between them and heartbroken, Nathan decides to leave the Founders’ Day Dance. Elizabeth seeing Nathan’s hurt expression can’t continue the dance.

A sequel to A Father's Love and should be read following that story. While Elizabeth is on the road to recovery, she has a lot of changes to make in her life, amongst them discovering a new relationship with her parents and regaining the trust of a girl she already loves like her own.
