James bounded up the stairs of his parents' home with a grin. He loved being home for the holidays and this summer was even better with his best friend, Sirius, staying over. He had so many adventures planned, schemes and pranks to collaborate on, he didn't know where to start, but he wasn't worried. This summer was about fun and whatever they eventually decided on would be great with his partner in crime.
"Sirius?" James called as he stepped onto the second floor landing, walking along the hallway towards the guest bedroom a few doors down. "Are you up yet? We have-"
"James?" a voice called out from the room he had just passed on his right. "Is that you?"
James stopped and retraced his steps before stopping outside the bathroom door. Now that he was closer, he could hear a soft rushing noise. That was odd. "Sirius? You in here?" he asked.
There was a small sound from within before Sirius asked, "Could you come in here? I'm in a bit of a predicament."
James blinked before he let out a loud laugh. "I think you're old enough to wipe your own butt!" he teased.
Sirius let a wry laugh. "You would think so, right? Please come."
James chuckled before turning the doorknob with his right hand. "So what's so-"
James froze as his bare feet stepped into the slowly rising water covering the bathroom floor, a few islands of soggy toilet paper floating by. The toilet gushed like a fountain and he had to hold up his arms to protect himself from the murky liquid coming forth. He looked towards Sirius who was grinning sheepishly next to it, his pajama bottoms soaked and trying unsuccessfully to stop the fountain by the jiggling the toilet handle.
"What am I going to do with you, Sirius?" James said, shaking his head as he exited the bathroom to retrieve his father.
