"Anything?" Bellamy asked. He had just finished checking the south post where Monty and Jasper were guarding.

"Not a single grounder. Not a soul." Murphy replied without looking. He had been assigned to guard west post. He would rather sleep though but he was one of the few who were allowed to carry guns around camp. It wasn't like he had any choice.

Bellamy nodded. "Keep your eyes open." He said before walking to check on other posts.

"What's the deal? I thought they've settled." Miller who was standing next to Murphy glanced over to Bellamy who was talking to a girl. He believed her name was Charlotte. She was the youngest of the 100. He wondered what crime she committed that got her sent to prison at such a young age.

"Well you know. All this teen stuff. Boy loves princess, princess doesn't love boy back. They argue. Maybe they kiss and make up. Yada yada yada." Murphy joked. He wasn't keen on the love thing.

Miller frowned. "You mean they're like a thing?" He didn't notice anything like that between Clarke and Bellamy. He thought they were just buddies. "Are you serious?" He looked back but Bellamy was nowhere in sight.

Murphy shrugged. He had no idea but the way Bellamy looked at Clarke it wasn't really a shocker. Couldn't say the same thing about Clarke. He didn't think Clarke liked him but who knew. Being stranded in the woods with nowhere to go with only the Grounders to pick up fight with could change everything.

"Damn. With all this grounder and surviving stuff going on how can they find time for that?" Miller smirked. He had his eye on someone too but kept it a secret.

"Ain't nobody got time for that, right?" Murphy said lazily. This wasn't his favourite topic anyway. "I hope they find food. A lot of food because I'm so hungry I could eat a horse." He said as an attempt to change the subject. He yawned.

"I heard Clarke has already arranged some of the boys to go hunting." Miller answered. "I hope they find some meat because I'm done being a veggie. That's all we ate for the past few days." He remembered the nuts they ate that turned everyone in the camp to lose their mind.

"What are you doing?" Bellamy asked while Clarke was packing her stuff. She wanted to ignore him by keeping herself busy or keeping away. She thought Bellamy was overreacting.

"If it isn't that obvious already, I'm packing my stuff. I'm going out hunting." She checked her gun and put it into the back of her belt and covered it with her shirt.

"I thought we agreed that you stay." Bellamy sighed. "Isn't it dangerous to go out?" He said referring to Lexa's escape from the camp.

Clarke stopped at what she was doing. "It is but we're running out of food." He thought that because she was the one brought Lexa home the Grounders would come after her head. Hell Jasper shot Lexa. If that how he went about it then Jasper should worry about his head more. "I can take care of myself Bellamy."

"Clarke. About that grounder." He stopped. "You know I was just worried about you about us right?" He felt that he needed to tell her that although he knew Clarke would understand the reason behind his outrage.

"Yeah." She said, pushing her long face up into a not so genuine smile. Bellamy wanted to hear more than just a yeah but wasn't about to argue with her so he left without saying a word.

Clarke glanced over her shoulder. She knew it was her fault but she had a good feeling about the grounder.

"Hey Clarke. You're joining the gang?" Clarke turned to see Miles smiling at her. She didn't hear him came in.

"What?" She asked after giving him a once-over. She made a mental note to find some kind of a bell to hang around her tent so she knew when people tried to sneak up on her.

"Well we're going hunting. Foods are running low." He explained like Clarke didn't already know about it. Wasn't she the one who gave the order?

"Yeah well I guess I'm joining the gang." She was still waiting for him to tell her why was he in her tent. She crossed her arms.

"Oh then I guess you should go out with me." He stopped when he realized what he just said. He was embarrassed, stumbling over the words.

Clarke smile and stared at him. She guessed that he was younger than her and seeing how nervous he was she assumed he wasn't doing this much often. "Oh?"

"No. I mean we should be partner. I mean go hunting as partners. Sterling backed out at the last minute." Miles nervously pulled the strap of his bag higher up on his shoulder. "Besides we never get to be in the same group."

"Sure. Let me finish and then I'll see you outside."

"Okay. Cool." He looked around the tent mentally memorizing how things were organized. He smiled and nodded before he left.

Clarke shook her head and double-check that all she needed was in her bag before closing the tent. She was going out with Miles. As hunting partners.

"So you kind of badass huh?" Miles tried to break the ice between them. He couldn't find better things to say obviously.

"Um I don't know. I guess I am?" Clarke never let her guard down but she didn't know about Miles. All he worried about right now was to be her friend. She didn't think she knew all the 100 names. There was a lot to remember.

"Well I think it's pretty cool to hang out with you sometimes. You kind of hang around those boys quite a lot." He said sounded a little disappointed.

She glanced over to him. "I do hang around with the others." Occasionally.

"Yeah but not as much as them." He argued. Clarke felt like she wasn't going to win this so she just hoped Miles wasn't pushing too far. This was the least they should be worry about. Keeping everybody alive was her top priority.

"We all have work to do." It wasn't that she didn't want to hang around with the others but being in charge left her little time to socialize. Bellamy was her co-leader sort of, Finn was like her right-hand man, Jasper and Monty the not-blood related twin brothers were good at electronics and stuff while Raven was a great mechanic. All of them had their own specialties. They weren't just sitting talking about nothing but they were busy running things.

"Hey are you like seeing some.." He was about to ask when Clarke cut off his words.

"Shhh. Did you hear that?" She asked suddenly. She wasn't hearing anything just trying to save herself from Miles. It wasn't a proper behaviour but she wasn't ready to break his heart too. Truth be told she wasn't thinking about love. She didn't have time for that.

"What? I didn't hear anything." He steadied his gun in his hands. He usually just settled for duty that didn't require him going outside the camp. "I didn't hear a thing."

"False alarm. So you were saying?" She reminded him after they continued walking.

Miles had lost his courage to ask so he shook his head instead. "Nothing." He looked down on the ground thinking about his lost chances. He wasn't aware Clarke's face had changed.

"No." Clarke said softly. The word almost sounded like a whisper.

"What?" Miles looked up. "Did you say something?"

"Hey what's that on your boots?" Clarke pointed to Miles's boots. He bent down to look closely but found nothing special about it.

"What? I don't see anything." He said without looking up. "This boots kinda big for me because it's not mine. I borrowed it from Monty. He said he found it in the dropship."

Clarke didn't hear what he was saying because she was surprised to see Lexa. She gestured for her to get out of their sight before Miles saw her. He was standing back up but completely missed Lexa.

"There! What's that?" Clarke pointed at something behind some bushes, away from where Lexa was standing. "Look!" She urged Miles to look which he did giving her the opportunity to warn Lexa again. She could see Lexa was smiling before she went to hide. Was she smiling? "Hey Miles. Why don't you go look over there. Maybe there's something for us. A deer maybe? I'm going to look over there." She pointed to where Lexa was hiding.

"Sure. If anything happens just scream and I'll be there. I'll protect you. I know I don't look like it but I'm pretty tough too." Miles said which brought out a chuckle from Clarke.

"Yeah. Sure." She said while Miles went to find the deer that wasn't existed. Clarke stayed there until Miles was out of sight before going for Lexa.

"What do you think you're doing?! You want to get shot again?" Clarke hissed when Lexa was on her sight. She pulled her down to hide behind the tree. She stuck out her head to see if Miles was there.

Lexa had that amused look on her face which annoyed Clarke. "This isn't funny Lexa. He won't hesitate to shoot you." She swore that this girl would be the death of her. One thing that amazed her that Lexa didn't seem scared of them which was a little odd for someone like her.

Lexa spoke in grounder language which meant 'But you will not shoot me.'

Clarke shook her head. "One of these days you need to teach me your language. I hate not to understand you." She studied Lexa. It had been a few days since Lexa left the camp. "How's your wound?" She asked.

Lexa saw her concern. She took a risk to come back to see Clarke. She pulled her shirt up and let Clarke took a look at her wound. Nyko was a good healer. This wound was nothing.

"Good. It's healing." Clarke said then pulled down the shirt. "I was worried about you. Well worried that you might tell your people about us." That was what she thought would happen.

Lexa shook her head.

"Well you reacted as if you could understand me." Clarke said.

They both were quiet. It wasn't easy talking to someone who didn't speak your language. Lexa was contemplating whether she should tell Clarke that she understood her. A part of her wanted to but the other part thought that it would ruined her advantage. Because Clarke thought she didn't understand her she and the other Sky People talked freely in front of her without fear. She had ordered all the Grounders to not speak Sky People language if they encountered them. Clarke knew her name and she couldn't risk that she would find out who she really was. Not yet.

Lexa surprised Clarke by taking her hand. She stood up and wanted Clarke to do the same but Clarke refused afraid if Miles saw them. "No. My friend will see us."

Lexa shook her head and forced Clarke to stand up which she did reluctantly. "You always get what you want don't you?" Lexa ignored her. "What the hell am I doing holding hands with a grounder in the middle of the wood?" She murmured. Couldn't believe this was happening.

"You want to show me something?" She asked.

'Yes.' Lexa said.

Even though Clarke couldn't understand it she just pretended she could. "Just another day a grounder girl and a Sky girl being friendly in the woods." She said. "Not like it's weird or anything."

'Keep your mouth shut before your friend hears you.' Lexa shot her a look.

Clarke held up her other hand. "Okay okay. I know that look. I'll keep quiet." She thought that what Lexa was saying.

"You know Lexa. It's not safe for me to walk around like this." Clarke said as she tried to keep up with Lexa. They had been walking for only God knows how long. She forgot to keep the time. How they hadn't bump into some nasty grounders she had no idea. "Don't get me wrong. I love doing this with you but now isn't really a good time. I feel like a walking target." She stopped. "Lexa?" She called hoping to get her attention.

Lexa grabbed her wrist so that they continued walking. "It's not like she understands my concern." Clarke rolled her eyes. She had no choice but to keep on walking. She didn't think any of the 100 had gone this far of the woods before. The farther they were from the camp the more dangerous it was for them.

"Hey. Where are we going?" Clarke couldn't contain her worry anymore. If anything happened she had no back up. All she had was a gun and a knife. Lexa was small. She didn't think Lexa would be able to fend off the grounders or kill her own people to save her. Would she? "If you're not talking I'm not going any further."

Lexa turned around with her finger over her mouth then turned back.

"Yeah okay. If people find us it's my head on a plate not yours." Clarke pouted. They met only a few days ago but she had a feeling Lexa wasn't going to hand her over to the Grounders. She could have done that if she wanted to. Trust was a big word but she thought she did trust Lexa a little.

Lexa pointed to the open area in front of them and gestured for them to stay put. "Grounders?" Clarke was alarmed but she did what Lexa told her to do. Her eyes followed Lexa's and blinked rapidly. She couldn't believe her eyes.

"Oh my God! Food!" She gave Lexa a sideways hug. "How did you know?" Her eyes never left her food. Lexa saw the look on Clarke's face so she touched her shoulder before she jumped at it. Clarke thought she could take a shot at it.

The poor deer who didn't know it was going to be cooked later was eating. Clarke was about to get her shot when Lexa pulled her gun down.

"I can take that shot." Clarke said confidently. She had a gun lesson just a week ago. She missed a couple of targets but she wouldn't miss it in this range.

'People will hear you.' Lexa said pointing to the gun then to her ear.

"Well that I understand." Clarke said taking her advice. If the Grounders heard the shot then her head was really going to end up on a plate not the deer.

"If I can't shoot it then how are we going to catch it?" Clarke asked not wanting to miss a chance to eat some meat.

She saw Lexa took an arrow out of her pouch, placed it onto her bow and aimed at her target. "Yeah of course. So you're going to get it." She watched as Lexa' arrow found its target, at its head killing it instantly. She cocked her head at Clarke as if saying 'That was so easy.' She was right to bring her bow than her sword this time.

Clarke nodded. "Impressive. I guess I owe you for our dinner tonight." They hadn't had any luck at getting animals before. She looked around. "So I guess this is where we're going to hunt from now on." She looked at from the way they were coming trying to memorize it. The area was too far from the camp but if this was where they could find animals then they didn't really had any choice.

"Is there water source nearby?" She asked curious. They had been getting their water supply from a river but they had a close encounter with the Grounders there a few times. She wanted to avoid meeting the Grounders if she could. That way they would have higher rate of surviving until the others from the Ark came down.

Lexa stood up and went to see her prize. Clarke followed. She took the arrow out of its head and threw it to the side. Clarke went to inspect her dinner. "Well it won't be enough for all of us but it would do." She looked up when Lexa spoke.

'Let me show you where you can get water.' Lexa started walking leaving Clarke squatting next to her dinner.

"Hey wait. I can't just leave it here." She looked around. "What if people find it?" Clarke groaned at Lexa's lack of reaction.

They hadn't been walking too far before Lexa stopped. "Now what?" Clarke asked, already getting used to whatever this was with Lexa. She was about to complain when she saw what Lexa was pointing at. "Water." She glanced over to Lexa who just like she was before. No reaction just a nod.

"How come you knew I was looking for water?" Clarke asked without suspecting anything. She went closer to wash her face. "Waterfall! God this feels so good." She sat on the small rock. Lexa went to sit next to her.

"So you're good at hunting huh?" Clarke said. "Good with bows. What else are you good at?" She knew so little about Lexa that she thought she might be more than just meets the eye.

'I'm good at everything.' Lexa spoke which Clarke nodded pretending she understood. That kind of how they communicated now. Both assumed what the other was saying.

After being quiet for a while Clarke spoke. "So did we by any chance kiss? Back at the dropship?" She collected some flat pebbles from the ground and threw one across the water surface. It went on touching the layer of water before getting into it. Clarke couldn't stop thinking about it. She didn't know whether the kiss was real or it was just her imagination. Why would she make it up?

Lexa was a little surprised that Clarke had any memory of it. She wondered what else Clarke remembered. As much as she wanted to say yes she didn't react. She hid her amusement at the confused girl next to her.

"I'm not going to ask how you escaped but did we really?" She blushed. In her memory it was a good kiss and she was enjoying it. So was Lexa but seeing how serious Lexa was all the time Clarke wasn't so sure about it. She glanced over her shoulder. "Whether we did or we didn't I will never find out, right?"

'Yes we did kiss.' Lexa finally spoke. There was no harm for her saying it. Not that she understood.

Clarke turned and saw Lexa gave her a smile in which she smiled back. She took off her jacket and got up. "I feel so hot and I stink." She laughed. "You're coming?" She started to wade into the water.

Lexa sat still. She wasn't keen on getting wet just yet. She just watched Clarke leaned forward, put her hands together to collect the water and splashed the water onto her face and neck. She was laughing which made her feel so warm and fuzzy inside. This was a strange territory for her. As the Commander of the Grounders she should order the slaughter of the Sky People but what she had heard and seen made her thought that it wasn't in their best interest.

"I think I'm getting a bath since I'm already well, wet." Clarke said as she walked out of the water. Lexa's eyes followed Clarke where she unbutton her pants and took her shirt off. Clarke was aware of Lexa's lingering look at her but she didn't mind. In fact she wanted her to look.

Lexa swallowed when Clarke took her pants off and slowly walked back into the water. She wouldn't make an order to kill the Sky People. There were a lot of things that she thought would be useful for her people. She had seen all the things at their camp on her way to escape. They were more like the Mountain Men than the Grounders. Their knowledge and technology could help them beat Mountain Men. Those were the reasons she told herself as she watched Clarke was standing there, water was up to her waist. She liked what she was seeing.

"Are you sure you just want to sit there watching?" Clarke shouted cheerfully. "Come on Lexa. Nobody's here." Lexa gestured to tell it was better for her to stay where she was. "Okay suit yourself."

After spending quite sometime in the water she said, "Well I think we should go back now. Miles must be looking for me." She had finished getting dressed and felt as good as new. She knew Lexa was having a good time too by the look on her face no matter how hard she tried not to show it. "I'm going to need your help carrying my dinner home."

"This is it." Clarke said while putting the deer down. She wouldn't be able to drag it over here if it wasn't for Lexa. She was strong for such a small woman. Her eyes caught a familiar figure standing a few feet away from them. "That's Miles." She turned to Lexa. "I didn't think we would meet again but thank you. For everything." She was glad Lexa came back.

Lexa raised her eyebrows. 'I did promise I will come back to see you.'

"I'm guessing you said welcome." Clarke looked on making sure Miles didn't see them. "You should go before he sees you."

'I do not need your permission to leave.' Lexa said as she turned.

"Yeah may we meet again." Clarke said as she waited until Lexa was out of sight before calling Miles. "Miles! Over here!"

Miles came running to her. "Clarke!" He panted. "Oh my God. When I couldn't find you I thought they caught you. Are you alright?" He checked on her.

She nodded. "I didn't expect to see you still here. I thought you already back to camp." She honestly thought he had left. Thank God she didn't go straight back to camp. Why would he be standing here alone?

"I wouldn't leave you behind." He eyed the deer on the ground. "No way! I didn't find anything." He looked up and met Clarke's smirked. "Cool!" 'Yeah thanks to Lexa.'

"We should leave. I don't want to be here any longer. Who knows what we might find." Miles helped her carried it back to the camp.

"Guys! Look what we've got!" Miles shouted as soon as they reached the main gate. The others shouted and gathered around them making noises.

"Miles. Get Octavia to help you with it." Clarke ordered him and watched as the rest of them chanted 'Food! Food! Food' on their way to prepare their dinner.

"Clarke!" Bellamy called her. He jogged a little to catch up with her.

"Yeah." Clarke wasn't in the mood to argue anymore. "Is everything okay around camp?" She asked making sure things were organized as it should be.

"Yeah everything's fine. We shouldn't have problems." He studied the blonde. "How far did you go? We haven't had any luck with it before." He thought she looked fresh and too clean.

"I can lead the way but it's getting dark soon. We can go tomorrow." Clarke said as she walked away. Bellamy looked on. He was convinced that the princess was still mad at him.

"If I'm not being rude Heda may I ask why?" Indra wasn't satisfied with the order. For the life of her she couldn't understand it. The Sky People were intruders. Gustus who was standing guard next to Lexa was quiet.

"I have my reasons." Lexa didn't offer any explanation. "But be sure it is for the best. I have always put my people first."

Indra let out a heavy breath. "I have never doubt you Heda." She didn't agree to it but she wasn't about to defy order either. She bowed a little and left.

"How long are we going to stay here Heda?" Gustus asked. They had stayed longer than they had planned. There were a lot of things that needed the Commander's attention back at the capital.

"We'll be going back to Polis when I'm done here." Lexa answered. Gustus didn't ask what she meant by 'When I'm done'. Whatever it was that she was planning he was sure the Commander had her reasons.

"Hey what's up?" Clarke went to sit with Octavia. Dinner wasn't enough for everybody but they had to share. They were going back to get some more. Happy faces all around camp except this one.

"How did you get the deer?" Octavia asked.

"I found it and I shot it." Clarke answered sensing something was up. "Why? What's wrong?"

"Miles said he didn't hear a gun shot." She did ask him about it but he didn't know. He said they were separated until Clarke called him.

"I went too far into the woods. Maybe he was too far and missed it." Clarke didn't want to raise suspicions. Knowing Octavia the girl would find it out if she thought something was up. Something she didn't want to share for now.

"It wasn't a shot wound Clarke. I know because I saw it." She stared at Clarke. "I didn't see any bullet."

"It's a through and through. The bullet must have gotten out." Clarke wasn't expecting anybody to notice about the arrow wound. She lied but Octavia didn't know that. She doubted Octavia would dig the bullet out herself. She had no idea why that was a problem.

"Okay. Then I hope we'll get more next time we go hunting." Octavia didn't look convince. Her eyes gave her away.

"Yeah that's what everyone said." Clarke said as she was standing up. "I'm going to check on Raven. See if there's any progress with the radio."

"Good luck with the radio. She's been busy with Finn." Octavia watched as Clarke waved her hand. "There's something fishy going on here and she lied." She murmured.
