"Nobody enters this room!" Lexa ordered before she walked in. Clarke and Indra followed her but Gustus stopped at the door. He turned around with his left hand on the hilt of his sword, eyes fixed on the Sky People watching their every move, like a hawk would watch its prey. He wouldn't be fool again.
"Let me go!" Bellamy struggled to no avail to break free, only for them to tighten their grips on his arms. His fear grew as he saw the tree he assumed was the one the Commander spoke about.
They stopped walking and one of them grabbed Bellamy by the front of his shirt, fiercely pulled him closer so their faces were inches from each other. "If the boy dies you die! The Commander will seek justice for us! Jus Drein Jus Daun!" He spat the words out, loud enough for Raven and the others to hear. "I'm going to have so much fun watching you screaming in pain!" The other one yelled then laughed aloud when he saw horror on Bellamy's face. They continued dragging him off and tied him up to the tree but not before they gave him a few punches. One of them threw his knee into Bellamy's stomach that made him gasped for air.
Finn cursed when he saw what they did to him and wanted to help but Raven stopped him. "Don't make things worse. There's nothing you can do. They're not going to do anything to him as long as the boy is still alive. Let's just hope whatever condition he is in is not too bad for Clarke to help." She whispered as they watched them finished tied him up. Bellamy looked helpless as they went to stand on his sides with a big grin on their faces.
Meanwhile, In the room
When she walked into the room she saw a boy was lying on a bed, semi-conscious. She watched as Lexa had come to stand at his side to take a look at him while Indra chose to stand at the door.
"Are you the one treating him?" Clarke asked the guy who was standing at the edge of the bed. She stood behind Lexa as she kept her eyes on him. There were only four of them in there. She needed to know his condition and what sort of medication the boy was being treated with.
He nodded and introduced himself. "I'm Lincoln, the healer." His eyes looked suspiciously at the Sky girl then turned to look at his Commander and Indra before his eyes finally landed on the Sky girl who he thought had no business to be in the room.
"I'm glad you came." Finn took Raven's hand in his and held it tight. He smiled as he turned to look at her, the only family he had left. He never thought they would see each other again but there she was, by his side.
"Of course I'd come to save you spacewalker. I launched myself in a pod to come down here just to find out if you were alive and I survived. This grounder thing is nothing." I owed you my life. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be here. She returned his smile and almost gave him a kiss when she felt a nudge on her shouder, forcing her to turn. "What?"
"Hey Raven. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the Commander looks like the grounder girl Clarke brought home? The one Jasper shot?" Monroe asked when she finally remembered where she had seen her face but she wasn't sure. It had been bothering her ever since she saw the Commander.
"Please don't remind me. I'm worried about my head." Jasper swallowed hard. He had realised that the Commander was the girl he shot when she was close enough for him to see. He wasn't so worried before but since the boy's condition was getting worse and Bellamy now was tied up to a tree he wasn't sure about his safety. He should have cheered for her, not Bellamy. "But she doesn't look like the type to hold grudges right?" He laughed nervously.
"I don't think she hold grudges or cared about that anymore but even if she does I'm sure Clarke can talk to Lexa on your behalf. You didn't know who she was. We were enemies. I agreed with you to shoot her and left her there to bleed to death. So I'm just as guilty as you are." Octavia patted his shoulder then turned to look at Monroe. "You're not wrong. She's the girl." How they didn't notice it sooner was beyond her.
"Lexa? Is that the Commander's name? How did you know?" Finn questioned and the others shared the same curiosity. "I thought we didn't get anything from her before she escaped?"
"Clarke told me but we didn't know she was the Commander before we came here. I was as surprised as you when I saw her with Clarke in that tent." She smirked when she remembered when she walked in on them passionately kissing. Wasn't they supposed to discuss matters of life and death like whether the grounders were going to kill them or Bellamy's fate? She pitied the grounder woman. She looked totally in shock.
"What happened in there anyway?" Raven had to ask. She remembered she saw Octavia was smiling when she walked out of the tent before Clarke and the Commander walked out. Octavia's behaviour was suspicious given their situation at that moment. Something happened in that tent that she didn't tell them. "Did they manage to cut a deal or something?"
Octavia hesitated, wasn't sure what to tell them or if she should tell them what she saw. This wasn't her story to tell. "I was there for only a few minutes. I don't know if they managed to work something out or not but Clarke was fine. In fact I thought she was better than fine so I left. I think it's better if Clarke explains it to you. All I can say is we're lucky that she's the Commander."
Murphy who had little interest in the conversation spoke, "How is she being the Commander going to help us? Didn't Clarke kidnap her after Jasper shot and almost killed her?" He glanced at them before continued, "Not to forget the fact that your brother was ready to kill her which I believe she knew because he said it out loud in front of her. You were there. You should know."
Octavia knew Murphy had a point but he didn't know the whole story. She took a moment to think how to explain without giving out any information that was supposed to be kept secret. "Have you noticed how the grounders are looking at us right now like they can't wait to tear us apart? Like they want to spill our blood so bad?" They glanced around and couldn't agree more. She continued, "Now when you looked at the Commander earlier does she look like them? Even when Bellamy threatened to kill her she didn't snap. You saw how she fought with Bellamy. She didn't want to kill him. If she wanted to kill us she would've sent her people to do that a long time ago. She's sensible. She may be young but I have a feeling she's wise beyond her years."
"Well if that's your arguments I'd say you have a point. They're looking like us like we're the enemy because we are but she didn't look anything like them before she got the news about the boy." Finn agreed with Octavia's assessment but not completely. "But look at them. I don't think she would ignore what her people wants." He raised his eyebrows looking at her. "I have to say I'm impressed. Bellamy's little sister is all grown up."
"We all have to be if we want to survive down here." Octavia replied, a little flattered by his comment. She was hoping she was right that Clarke's relationship with Lexa was an advantage for them. It wasn't right but they needed to use whatever they had.
"But what's happening in there?" Monty glanced over to the room where Clarke had entered a while ago. The longer the time passed the more anxious he became.
"Yeah why is she taking so long?" Raven agreed. Gustus narrowed his eyes when he saw they were all looking at his direction.
When she heard the familiar line from Raven, Octavia held up her hand. "Hold that thought. Whatever plans you have in mind leave me out of it. I'm not going to run into that room like hell." She pointed at the highly guarded room. There were four grounders guarding at the entrance. "I refuse to have any more awkward moments when your friend in the middle of you know what with you know who." It was the second time she had crushed their meeting and she wasn't planning on the third although she doubted there would be any French kiss happening while there were other people and a dying boy in the room.
Raven and Finn glanced at each other, frowned. "What are you talking about? What awkward moments?" Raven asked.
Octavia rolled her eyes. "Raven you're a zero-gravity mechanic; whatever that means, Finn you're a tracker, Miller you're a thief, Monty you know stuff about pharmaceutical and engineering more than any of us do, Jasper you're a chemist and Murphy you're-" She paused and looked at Murphy, "I don't know what you're good at but I'm pretty sure it's not medical. The same goes for the rest of you and I'm a butterfly chaser! There is nothing Clarke can't do that we can. So let's just sit here and try not to get ourselves in more trouble than we already are until Clarke walks out of that room." She gave her two cents so they didn't come up with any brilliant ideas that would only get themselves killed.
"You're a what?" Finn frowned.
Octavia shook her head. "Long story."
"I'm a trouble maker." Murphy picked up a stick and began to draw something on the ground to kill time. "I thought it was obvious."
"Relax. I'm not planning anything. Besides, same trick won't work twice. I know she's doing the best she can to save him and it takes time." Raven said as she eyed the grounders at the door. "But I'm just worried. What if he's beyond saving? What's going to happen to us?"
"Not only Bellamy's life in danger but we all are." Monty spoke. "He pulled the trigger but you guys were there when it happened. That makes you an unwilling accomplice. And who's to say they're not blaming the rest of us too just for being here?"
"It'd be foolish to think that they wouldn't retaliate after what we've done." Jasper chimed in. "I know we would."
"We need plan B." Atom paused then continued, "if things end up badly in there. I'm not going to just sit here and wait to be tied up like Bellamy over there." He cocked his head to Bellamy.
"You have a plan?" Miles asked. He was so quiet they almost forgot he was there.
"We're outnumbered and without our weapons there's not much we can do. Did you not see how the Commander fight? I bet they fight as good as her. Good luck fighting them with your bare hands." Monroe didn't fancy their chances of winning.
Meanwhile, in the room
"Did you get the bullet out?" Clarke asked while looking at the pale boy in front of her. She had examined him but she couldn't figure out why his condition was deteriorating. He had developed some symptoms so she must have missed something.
The healer looked at Lexa like he was asking permission to speak and when she nodded he spoke, "Yes I did. He's caught a fever but I managed to get his temperature down but only temporarily." He explained while giving Clarke a once over. "He looked like he was going to be okay a few hours ago but suddenly his condition is getting worse. I couldn't find the reason why."
"Clarke can you help him?" Lexa asked. There was a slight concern in her voice.
"I don't know but I'll try. It's not like I have a choice right?" Clarke answered unconvincingly while putting the back of her hand on his forehead and withdrew her hand after a moment. She was sure he was feverish. There had to be something that cause it. "What do you know about this cut?" Lexa watched as she traced her fingers where the cut began to where it ended.
"I'm not sure but probably from a knife." Lincoln shrugged. He didn't pay much attention to that wound. "I don't think your friend stabbed him. Nyko told me he found the knife next to him. He must have accidentally cut himself with his knife when he fell down." He added when he saw questioning look on her face. He wondered why she thought it was important. The cut bled but wasn't deep enough to be fatal.
Clarke noticed he was starting to shiver. She put her hand on his forehead again. "His fever is getting high. I think he has symptoms of poisoning." She looked up to him. "His shot wound has stopped bleeding. If I'm right it has to be this cut. Where's the knife?"
"It's on the table over there." Lincoln pointed at the knife on the small table in the corner of the room. He was aware of Artigas interest in poisons but decided to keep his mouth shut.
"Does he use any poisons?" She had no idea how to detect what kind of poison infected him but Lincoln had to know. "Lincoln, you know this place better than I do. You have to know. Please tell me." Lincoln stayed silent. When she felt that Lincoln wasn't going to help she looked desperately at Lexa. "Lexa."
"Find out if the knife was poisoned." Lexa ordered and Lincoln slowly nodded. He glanced over to Clarke before turning to leave.
"Are you sure it's the poison?" Lexa asked as she walked to stand next to Clarke.
Clarke nodded. "Yes but I can't tell what type of poisons. Look here." Lexa followed her finger with her eyes. "It's healing but this cut is the only other wound on his body. I ruled out internal bleeding. If he dies it's not because of the shot wound but because of this."
"Lies! Those who are about to die will say anything." Indra spoke before Lexa could say anything. "Heda, she will do anything to save her friends. She can't be trusted." She had been watching the whole situation with great interest. She knew the intruder would try to convince the Commander it wasn't her friend's fault.
Lexa was conflicted. If what Clarke just told was true then Bellamy wasn't the one who killed him. He was however caused his death indirectly by shooting him. That made him guilty. "But he shot Artigas and the boy hurt himself when he fell."
"Then Artigas's death would be accidental. It's not Bellamy's fault." Clarke defended Bellamy.
"How dare you blame the boy for his own death?!" Indra walked up to Clarke and stood in front of her. "Your friends shouldn't be here in the first place! If your people didn't come here he wouldn't be lying on this bed fighting for his life!" She argued. "If a fight you're looking for you've come to the right place!"
"Em pleni! The boy is not dead yet!" Lexa exclaimed to break up their argument. "When the time comes I will decide!" Indra met her eyes then bowed her head. "Clarke if we can't find the cure is there any way to stop it from getting worse?" She asked in case they couldn't find it.
"There's something we can try. A blood transfusion but it has its own risks and I need compatible blood type. I'm not sure if your healer knows what his blood type is. So I'd rather it be our last resort. I really hope he can find the cure." She didn't see any equipment that could be use to identify blood types. They didn't even have any equipment at all. She wondered what or how their healers treated their patients.
"Indra, go help Lincoln. Find out what's taking him so long." Lexa ordered as she wanted to speak to Clarke alone. Besides she thought Indra needed to calm down and waiting here wasn't going to help her. Indra had a right to get furious because this village was her responsibility. She had to answer to her people as much as Lexa had to answer to hers.
"Sha, Heda." She turned and left. She knew she was dismissed so that they could talk but she welcomed it. She hoped the Commander wouldn't let them off the hook so easily.
Clarke walked to the table and put both her hands on it while letting out a long breath. Her eyes fixed on the knife in front of her. "Thank you." She said without looking up. She could see Lexa walked up to her from the corner of her eyes. "I can do blood transfusion if it comes to that." She had never done it before. She only knew the theory but she was confident she could do it.
"Clarke, look at me." Lexa touched her shoulder gently but Clarke didn't move. She sighed. "We talked about this. I told you I will do what's best and right for my people. I'm the Commander. I will do what needs to be done. I hope you understand my position that I can't overlook this. Indra was right. Even if his bullet didn't kill him your friends are guilty for being here in the first place." She glanced over to Artigas who was still shivering.
"Wait! You mean you will execute the others too? You can't do that!" She turned to face Lexa and she could see determination in her eyes. She bit her lower lip. How could she be mad at her? They were the ones putting Lexa in this position giving her no choice. She was just doing her job. She lowered her voice as she added, "You can't kill everyone you think is guilty."
"Yes I can." Lexa said without hesitation.
"Should we start to worry now?" Jasper asked when they saw Indra walked out of the room, long after a guy hastily walked out. "Do any of you have a plan B?" He said turning at them but nobody seemed to have one.
Finn's eyes followed Indra who entered the house the boy was shot. "From the look on their faces I don't think it's a good news for us. I wonder how Clarke's doing in there."
"But they didn't kill anybody!" Clarke exclaimed. "What kind of rules is this? They had nothing to do with the shooting, Bellamy did!"
"Does that mean you agree he's the only one who dies if I pardon the others?" Lexa asked in a calm voice.
"No! That's not what I meant! I don't want anybody to die!" She couldn't believe Lexa was asking her to choose like it was an option. "Don't twist my word!"
Lexa shook her head at Clarke's ignorance. "Then I don't see a way out for your friend unless the boy survives. We have rules and it has to be followed. Jus Drein Jus Daun. Somebody has to pay."
Clarke groaned. "You know what? I'm going to go find out what's taking them so long. For all I know they could be sitting there doing nothing. He doesn't even look like he wants to help!" She saw Lexa rolled her eyes. "Don't try to stop me."
"I won't." Lexa raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms. "Go on. Do what you must."
Clarke was about to leave when she heard Lexa said, "So when I give him the final blow you can't say I didn't give him a chance." She turned around but couldn't find words to argue.
"We found it!" Lincoln walked in with a small bottle in his hand. They both turned to look at him. He raised his hand to show them the bottle then went to the boy. Indra followed him quietly.
"Sou nou teik em wan op! (Don't let him die!)" Lexa told Lincoln who nodded. He slowly twisted the cap off the bottle and let a few drops into his mouth.
"How do you know this is the cure?" She was sceptical of him and she didn't trust Indra.
"He likes all kind of poisons but there is one that he likes very much." Lincoln answered while putting the cap back on the bottle and looked up at Lexa. "The symptoms will only appear after about twelve hours he was infected. If in the next twelve hours he doesn't get the cure he'll die."
"Does he still have a chance?" Lexa glanced over to Clarke next to her. She could see Clarke didn't believe him but it didn't matter because she believed him.
Lincoln nodded. "The poison is in his blood. This is one of the best poisons we have. It takes quite a long time to take effect but very effective. We just have to wait and see if it works."
"For how long?" Clarke asked.
He didn't like the way she looked at him. "It depends on how long he's been infected. If his feverish is going down then he's going to be fine." He explained while putting his hand on his forehead.
"I need to see my friends." Clarke started to leave but stopped when she saw Indra drew her sword. She stayed at the door, head cocked. "They need to know what's going on here. I'm not trying to run." She sighed when she saw Lexa wasn't being helpful. "Okay fine." She said as she glanced at her watch.
After a few hours...
They quickly got to their feet when they saw the Commander and the others walked out of the room but there was no sign of Clarke. "Where's Clarke?" Raven asked.
"Oh my God! Please don't let her die." Jasper murmured. Clarke was their only chance to get out of here alive.
"She's not dead!" Octavia shot Jasper a look. If she was honest with herself she was a little concerned even though she knew Lexa wouldn't hurt Clarke.
Clarke appeared at the door which brought a sigh out of her friends' lips. Lexa and the others stayed where they were while she walked towards her friends. Octavia threw her arms around her and hugged her tight. "Thank you so much! I know you can do it!"
"Well I didn't do anything really." Clarke laughed, refused to take credit for something she didn't do. "But how did you know he's alive?" She asked after Octavia let up of her hold and pulled back.
"We never doubted you even for a second." Raven cocked her head and smiled.
Octavia turned to look at Lexa. "Thank you." Lexa's face was impassive but she gave a short nod and ordered her people to free Bellamy. She ran to get to her brother and the others followed.
"You did good back there." Lincoln came to stand next to Clarke. He was impressed of her sharpness. He felt that he should have seen the symptoms earlier.
"Thanks. I was studying to be a doctor just like my mother before they locked me up." She told him as she saw Octavia and the others talked to Bellamy. "My mother is the Chief Medical Officer. I've learnt a lot from her." She saw Lexa was heading to her tent so she excused herself and followed her. Gustus followed them.
"So-" Clarke said as a way to let Lexa know she was there. "Are we good?"
Lexa turned around and smiled. "Yeah we're good. Why aren't we?" She waited until Clarke stepped inside before she continued, "You have your truce now. Everything is going to be fine as long as your friends don't shoot my people."
"I'll make sure of that." Clarke said as she sat on the chair, watching Lexa picked up her coat and her gears on the table. Lexa was still on her thin cloth. She looked around the tent but she didn't see Lexa's personal stuff. 'Perhaps she doesn't own many things. She's not a keeper.' Suddenly a rumbling noise emanated from her stomach. Her hands were immediately on her stomach. She was sure Lexa heard it too.
"Would you care for some food?" Lexa's voice disturbed her thoughts.
Clarke cleared her throat, embarrassed. "Well I'm not that hungry. It's just that I didn't eat anything this morning so-" She didn't think her friends would say no to free food. She saw Lexa raised her eyebrows so she decided to be honest. "Actually I'm hungry. Thank you. It'd be our pleasure." She said as she watched Lexa dressed up.
"Gustus!" Lexa called him and he walked in after a moment. "Prepare some food for our guests." He looked at her and nodded then left. She continued dressing up but after a while she frowned at sudden quietness in the tent. When she looked up she caught Clarke was staring at her. "Shouldn't you tell your friends they'll be staying for food?" She asked with a smile on her lips.
"Yes of course. That's a good idea. I'll do that." I'd rather stay here and watch you get dressed. Clarke smiled and shook her head on her way out.
"Guys! The Commander wants to treat us dinner." Clarke spoke when she sat next to Octavia.
"Really?" Monroe asked with disbelief thick in her voice. "Is it safe for us to stay? It's not some kind of a trick?"
"Why don't we just go back to camp? It's not like we don't have our own food. We have plenty." Bellamy said, not wanting to stay any longer.
"I don't know about you but I'm hungry. I'm not going to refuse free food." Clarke shrugged. They could leave if they wanted and she wasn't going to stop them. "It's a gesture of goodwill. I know today isn't one of our best days but it turned out great. We're still alive. Yeah it's safe to stay."
"Well I'm staying. I'm not a fool to say no to free food." Murphy spoke. "After they almost killed Bellamy this is the least they could offer."
"They only gave us water last night. I'm starving. So Raven and I will stay." Finn said on behalf of Raven who nodded.
"Great! Then let's go." Clarke said as she saw Gustus gestured for them to follow him.
After dinner...
"Does it still hurt?" Clarke fingers traced Lexa's broken lips. "I can get meds from Lincoln." She ran her eyes over Lexa's face and then sighed. "I'm sorry for all the mess." She felt obliged to apologise to Lexa for what happened.
"No it doesn't hurt anymore. It's just a small cut." She took Clarke hands in hers. "You didn't want this to happen. There's no need to apologise. You have a healer's hand." Their healers could learn a lot from her. "That's something you can offer, your knowledge in medical. You're very good at it."
"Yes I do have healer's hand. I don't mind sharing my knowledge and Lincoln was impressed." She looked lovingly at Lexa who played with her hand. "And you have a warrior's hand. Have I told how impressed I was watching you?"
"Even if you didn't tell me, I already know. Not everything has to be said out loud." Lexa smiled because she knew Clarke was watching her every move. "The way you look at me it shows."
Clarke laughed. "I didn't know I was that obvious."
"Will you stay the night?" She asked without looking at Clarke. She wanted her to stay but she didn't want to be pushy. "I can ask Indra to arrange a place for your friends to sleep."
"You mean your mother?" Clarke asked with her eyebrow raised. She looked around the tent and her eyes focused on a spot behind a curtain. Lexa's bed looked comfy than the one she had in her tent.
Lexa laughed. When her laughter died she spoke, "I admit it was fun. Unfortunately Indra is not my mother and Gustus is not my father. Indra is one of my most trusted warriors and Gustus has been protecting me ever since I was called to lead my people. They may look unfriendly but they're loyal to me."
"Fun for you! Did you see her face? I thought she was going to kill me!" Clarke said. "What did you say to them anyway? Something sounds like jomp." It was hard to remember the Grounder's language but she wanted to learn it.
"They were just trying to protect me like they always do." Lexa tried to recall which one Clarke was asking about. "Is it jomp em op en yu jomp ai yop?"
"Yeah I think that one when you jumped in front of me to stop them."
"It means attack her and you attack me."
Clarke couldn't help but smiled. Lexa was definitely into her from the very beginning but she tried to hide her feelings. She was right that some things didn't have to be said out loud. Her actions spoke volume. "No wonder they were surprised."
"You saved me from your friends. They told you to leave me but you didn't." She said as she recalled what she heard that day. "You treated my wound."
"Good thing I didn't or we wouldn't be here right now."
"So will you stay the night?" Lexa asked again.
Clarke wanted to stay but they wanted to go back. "I'd love to but I need to explain to them a few things like our new alliance and some other stuff. I promise to come back to see you or you can always come to find me. You know where I live."
Lexa nodded, a little disappointed but she understood.
"We've been interrupted way too many times. I hope we get to finish what we started." Clarke glanced at her watch. "I think I better go now."
"You know your way back to your camp? You can easily get lost if you don't know where you're going. It's easier to walk when the sun is up." Lexa asked while they walked out of the tent. Gustus who was standing guard followed Lexa but kept his distance. "I can ask them to show you where they picked you up."
"Them?"
Lexa smirked. "You didn't think they let you follow them too easily did you?" Clarke eyes widen to show her surprised. "I thought you needed some guidance to get here. So I sent them. I didn't know what your plan was but I was glad you chose to come here in peace and negotiate." She smiled when she saw Clarke was shaking her head and laughed. "Unlike your friends over there."
"I know you're very fond of me," Clarke said, stressing the word fond as she glanced over to Gustus and caught him staring at her. "But I'm still surprised. It's so thoughtful of you. You think about everything don't you?" She crossed her arms. She thought they were lucky when they saw the grounder woman and the boy but it turned out it was all Lexa's plan.
"I've been in this position long enough to know what I should anticipate." Lexa said. "To be a leader you have to look the bigger picture. You'll learn."
"I'll learn from the best. I'm not looking forward to it but it's not like I have a choice." She gave a weak smile. She had to carry the responsibilities until her mother and the council came down. "It turned out today was a good day after all."
At the far end the others were waiting. "Clarke is laughing with the Commander like everything is right in the world." Jasper said. "After all that happened today don't you think they look too cosy with each other?" He glanced at his friends who turned to look at Clarke and the Commander.
"Yeah too cosy for my liking." Bellamy said with low voice while his eyes watching the two of them talking and standing too close together.
"Clarke, one more thing." Lexa called her as she turned. "Don't try to go to Mt Weather."
"Why not?" Clarke frowned at the unexpected request.
"I'll tell you about them when I see you again." Lexa said hoping she wouldn't have to wait too long for them to meet again. They had a lot to talk about and she needed to inform her generals and the other clan leaders about their new alliance.
Clarke nodded. "Okay but don't worry. I won't make you wait for too long." She said as she stepped closer and kissed her on her lips. "You're a great kisser too." She whispered into Lexa's ear that made her lowered her head. "Your lips broken but still kissable. Goodnight." She laughed when she saw Lexa blushed.
Indra glanced over at them then let out a sigh. From the corner of her eyes she could see Gustus did a double-take when he saw them kissing. It took him a few seconds to regain his usual facial expression and acted like he saw nothing.
At the far side, the other delinquents watched with wide eyes. "Did you guys see what I just saw?" Raven asked, her eyes never left them.
"Whoa! I didn't see that coming!" Jasper said with a big smile on his face.
"Neither did I." Monroe said while Miles, Miller and Atom nodded.
"Neither did I." Finn said. "Did you?" He turned to look at Raven who shook her head.
"There. Now we know why they looked so cosy eh Jasper?" Monty said as he grinned and nod.
"Yeah so now we know. Who would've guessed?" Murphy said as he looked at Bellamy who didn't look too pleased watching what was happening, unlike the others. "Don't they look great together? The Commander of the Grounders and the Princess of the Arkers. Perfect!"
"Surprise surprise." Octavia crossed her arms and chuckled. She thought Clarke wanted to keep it secret for a while longer but it was great move. "See Jasper? I told you Clarke can talk to Lexa for you." She said while Bellamy turned to look at her.
"You knew about this?" He asked, disbelief in his eyes. He shook his head when Octavia shrugged her shoulder and refused to comment. He watched Clarke walked towards them while thinking how and when it started to happen.
"Let's go home." Clarke smiled brightly as she gestured for Finn to take the lead. Raven gave her a thumb-up then went to walk with Finn.
"Clarke." Bellamy said when he got the chance.
"Not now Bellamy." Clarke said as she hurried her steps to walk next to Octavia.
Octavia turned to look at her. "You were right Clarke. She's not like the other grounders. She's their freaking Commander!"
"I know right." Clarke grinned while turning back to look at Lexa who was still standing where she had left her, watching.
