"Clarke this silent treatment is crap. How long do you think you can avoid me?" Bellamy said as his patience was wearing thin. He came to walk by her side, accidentally bumped his shoulder with Finn's who was walking behind her. Raven frowned and shook her head. Clarke hadn't said a word to Bellamy since they left the village. It wasn't that hard to figure out why.

"I'm not avoiding you." She replied without looking at him. She kept walking while Bellamy tried to get her attention by saying how sorry he was and admitting he had made a poor decision. She was relieved to see the front gate then stopped when she was close enough for who ever at the post to see her. She looked up to the moon, moonlight shined on her face. She stood there and it felt like forever for it to open.

"So talk to me." His voice was soft and pleading.

"Hey! Can someone please get Harper! They're back!" Sterling yelled as soon as he saw them. It was his turn to guard the main gate. When he saw movements outside he thought it was the Grounders and something bad had happened to them.

"You left Harper in charge?" Bellamy scowled when he heard his yelling, forcing Clarke to look at him. The others kept walking when the gate was opened, ignoring them. They should have taken the Commander's offer to walk them back so they didn't have to spend the first hour finding their way back. They were tired and with their stomach full the only thing on their mind was to lay their heads down and get some sleep.

"Can't whatever this is wait until tomorrow?" Murphy said as he walked passed them. Bellamy had been trying to talk to Clarke but the princess wasn't talking. He will never stop. He yawned. Then he turned and said, "Thanks Clarke for coming to save us." He nodded at Bellamy who nodded back with an uneasy look. He smirked then left.

Clarke waited until they were alone before answering him. "Yes. I would've asked for your opinion on that but unfortunately you weren't here." She didn't see what was wrong with it. Apparently everything was not right to him. "She is capable of handling things here. You should have faith and trust your friends." She saw he wanted to say something but she gestured for him to stop when she saw Harper approaching.

"Clarke! Is everyone okay?" Harper asked when she didn't see the others except her and Bellamy. "Never in my life have I prayed so hard. I couldn't imagine what would happen if you were dead and I was left in charge of this place." She looked around, relieved. She never thought Clarke would ask her to be in charge.

"Yeah we're okay. I guess they're all went straight to bed. You'd do just fine Harper." There was nobody left she could have asked. The others weren't particularly eager to have anything to do with being in charge. She had better judgment than to leave one of Bellamy's men like Myles and Connor who believed in his 'Whatever The Hell We Want' motto in charge. They were more likely to start chaos than preventing them.

Harper couldn't help but to look at Bellamy. He stood there silently, his pose confrontational – arms crossed and hip cocked to one side. He certainly didn't look happy about something. She casted a glance at Clarke then back at him. She could say the same thing about Clarke although she was better at hiding it or maybe he didn't even try to hide it. Okay. That's not a good sign. Maybe that's why I don't see the others? The sooner I get out of their way the better. "I'm really glad you're okay. So I'm going to go continue what I was doing." She left, didn't wait for them to answer.

Clarke watched as Harper walked off in the same direction she came, looking back and smiled before disappearing from her view. She turned to him briefly before glancing away. "I told her not to send the others to save us if we're not back by tomorrow." She stated as she started walking, leaving Bellamy behind. A cold wind blew passed them and Clarke wrapped her arms around herself while looking up at the sky. Please don't rain.

"You told her what?" Bellamy asked loudly enough to be heard by the others.

Clarke turned to face him. "You heard me. I didn't want to risk their lives. If we didn't get back they should assume we didn't make it. They should stay here and defend themselves in case the Grounders retaliated. They have to move on. If we couldn't win they certainly couldn't." She looked around; everything was like the way she left them and even some of them acted like nothing happened. "I don't see how revenge would help them survive." When she walked out of the gate this morning she didn't know whether she would return. "Why don't you go get some rest?"

"I want to know what's going on." He said stubbornly. It was a good thing they were not harmed but he knew there was something that Clarke hid from them. Also he didn't want to wait until tomorrow to ask about what he saw. It had been bugging him all the way back.

"I'll tell you everything tomorrow. If you don't need rest that's fine but I do." Clarke waved at Octavia when she caught her staring at them. She waved back before disappeared into her tent. Raven and Finn were gone as well so were the others. She raised her brows at him who was still standing in front of her. "It was a long day Bellamy and I'm too tired to argue."

Bellamy looked at her and sighed. If only she knew how he felt. "Okay." He said after a moment which Clarke took as the end of their conversation. She turned to leave but stopped when he called her. "Thank you." He saw her nodded and made her way back to her tent.

"It's not fair!" Raven said as she walked up to them. Clarke and Octavia both looked up at her. She stood there, hands on her hips then sat down on a fallen tree across from them and hissed, "How could you keep it from me!" She was too tired to get mad at them last night.

"Eh?" Clarke said with a puzzled frown when Raven looked her squarely in the eyes.

"Don't 'eh' me! Same goes with you Octavia!" Raven widened her eyes at Octavia who pointed to her chest with her eyebrows raised and questioning. "Yes! This is good news and I was left out. How did I not know this?" Raven faked a sad face but slowly it turned into a grin before she asked, "So how long has it been?"

"How long?" Clarke stammered and then as understanding came upon her, "Oh you mean Lexa and I?" She should have thought it was about that when Raven nodded. "Well quite a while, actually ever since the first day." Two dates if I can call them dates, two kisses and one attempted kiss so far which always gets interrupted. What a girl needs to do to get some privacy?

"Since the first day? That means the day you brought her here? So Octavia knew about you and the Commander." Raven spoke her thoughts aloud as she tried to piece all of them together. They saw her eyes widened then pointed her finger at Octavia, "Hey! You were smiling when you got out of that tent yesterday! Did the awkward moment you mentioned have anything to do with this?" She looked at Octavia anticipating a story. "You caught them doing something didn't you?"

Octavia laughed loudly with a big smile across her face. Clarke was curious about what Octavia told the others about yesterday which she completely forgot to ask. Raven smirked because she knew she was right. She hummed her answer. "Yeah I sort of did."

"I want to hear it!" Raven said excitedly. She leaned forward and waved her hand in the air when Clarke tried to say something obviously trying to stop Octavia from talking. "Clarke please let her finish." She slanted a quick look at Clarke and giggled when she saw her ready to protest. "One minute."

"I caught them French kissing! It's not awkward for me to watch people kiss." She rolled her eyes, then continued, "but I didn't expect to see her girlfriend in there you know." Octavia told even though Clarke gestured for her not to. "I'm sorry Clarke. I didn't mean to ruin the moment for you. If you want to blame someone blame Raven. It was her brilliant idea. She didn't give me a choice!" She pointed at Raven who was laughing.

"You did? It is an awkward moment!" Raven and Octavia bumped fists while Clarke shook her head, wondered what she had to do to stop them. She then said, "I'm so sorry. Honestly I was worried about her. I mean if I knew about this sooner I wouldn't bother coming up with a plan. They could have all day!"

"I've interrupted them twice already. I feel bad." Octavia held up two fingers in V formation. Clarke tilted her head to look at her and thought she didn't look like she felt bad about it at all. "If I did interrupt them the third time the Commander will kill me, literally."

"That wasn't their first time? Well Clarke just said they've been together ever since the first day." Raven answered her own question. "Then when was it?" She cocked her head to Octavia while Clarke looked at them, one after the other and wondered why she wasn't included in the conversation. "How did they get together?"

Octavia laughed. "How would I know? But the first time I saw them together they were out in the woods. Remember my butterfly chasing crap story? That's when I found them!" She nodded a few times and Raven's eyes widened. "How's that for the truth?"

"I knew something happened! Your reason didn't make any sense!" Raven slapped her knee and pointed at Octavia who grinned. "I wonder how is it like dating a grounder? That's kind of interesting don't you think? We have kind of different way and all. They look like they don't even know how to smile and the Commander she looks intense and serious all the time although I have to admit she's pretty." She was babbling and Octavia seemed to agree with her as she kept nodding her head.

"Well that's actually crossed my mind too but one thing for sure it's a good thing that she speaks English. I can't imagine how they date if she didn't, like how you are going to tell her how you feel." Raven nodded, agreeing with what Octavia just said. "I mean kissing is kind of universal act and everybody knows what it means but what if -"

"Hey I'm right here." Clarke waved her hand in front of them. It worked because they both stopped and turned at her, realised she was still there. She had had enough of it. It was kind of love at first sight for her but they didn't need to know that. "It's not that different and Lexa has the sweetest smile I've ever seen! You should see her smile and hear her laugh too! And stop referring to me in the third person as if I wasn't here." It was time for her to interrupt before they went even further. She leaned forward and with a low voice said, "Can we keep this between ourselves?" She didn't want everybody to know every little detail but the way they had been laughing and talking loudly who knew.

"You have to admit you guys have a really bad timing but now that everybody knows you don't have to sneak out to see her anymore." Octavia turned to look at Clarke. "Hey you can invite her to come here!" She added with a grin.

"You weren't supposed to be there Octavia! You were spying on me remember? How was I supposed to know that you're going to walk in there?" She said, exasperated. "Oh and Indra. That woman must have hated me even more." She remembered the look on Indra's face before they left. "Why are we talking about me?"

"Because we don't have anything else to talk about! A little romance won't hurt. There's no harm in talking about this once in a while. Octavia and Atom just broke up. Finn and I are great like always." Raven shrugged.

"What? When?" Clarke asked surprised. "Why? I thought you liked him."

"We broke up a few days ago. He's okay but things just didn't work out. It was just not meant to be." Octavia quickly dismissed it. "So are you going to see her again today?" Raven nodded, wanted to know too.

Clarke shook her head. "We just got back last night. I didn't want her to think I'm too clingy though she did ask me to stay the night, twice. She offered to find place for you guys to sleep." She had a second thought last night when it was raining, cold and she was alone. "On a serious note we do have to meet again to discuss some things. Everything just got crazy and we didn't really have the time to talk things through, about the agreement and all."

"Hold on. She asked you twice and you said no?" Raven asked but before Clarke could answer they were interrupted.

"Good morning girls." Finn greeted them as he sat down next to Raven. He gave her a peck on the cheek. "I heard y'all talking and laughing from a mile away. What is it about?" He said looking at them cheerfully but quickly turned into a frustration when he didn't get a response. "Oh come on. What is it?" He patted Raven's knees. "A guy needs to laugh too."

"Nah just some girl stuff. Nothing interesting really." Clarke shot a look at both the girls. Raven made a hand gesture, pretended to zip her lips shut which didn't go unnoticed by Finn. Octavia laughed and did the same.

"Aha girl stuff. That's my favourite topic! Let's gossip." He joked but Raven shot him a look. He shrugged and said, "What? Guys do love to talk about girls. Boys will always be boys. It's a fact. Just ask Bellamy." He said as his eyes caught Bellamy walked towards them.

"Jasper and Monty will be here shortly." He had stopped by their tents and found they were still asleep. He looked around then decided to sit next to Clarke. "Ask me what?" He rested his hands on his knees. After he spoke there was an awkward silence. He looked at them but nobody said anything.

Finn cleared his throat. Breaking the silence, he said, "It's a beautiful day huh. I had the best sleep of my life last night." Talking about the weather was the go to whenever he couldn't find the right thing to say. He chuckled when he saw them looking at Raven. "Oh no. As much as I prefer it I slept in my own tent. There they are!" Everybody looked up at Jasper and Monty.

"Sorry we're late. I felt like I had the best sleep of my life last night." Jasper said with an apologetic smile on his face and sat down next to Raven. Monty stretched his arms above his head and sat down next to him. He looked like he could use a few more hours sleep. "So what's this meeting about?"

"I'm glad we all had the best sleep of our life last night." Clarke said jokingly but after that her face wore a serious expression. She took a deep breath before she spoke, "So yesterday Lexa and I have agreed to an agreement. I asked for a truce but she offered us an alliance with them instead. I accepted it because I thought that was the best chance for us to eliminate threats from the grounders for the time being if not for good."

"That's great!" Octavia exclaimed. "We have one less thing to worry about. Now we just have to figure out how to make contact with the Ark."

"Yeah it is great but at what price?" Bellamy asked, didn't like how easy it sounded. Clarke turned to look at him and met his accusing eyes. "Nothing is as simple as it sounds." He added.

"She offered an alliance with her people in exchange of our knowledge and our help." She sounded a little hesitant because she didn't know how they would react. She gave them small glances.

"What kind of knowledge?" This time Monty asked, frowning. "We barely survive down here. What could they possibly think we know that they don't? What exactly they need from us?"

Clarke shrugged. "She did ask what we could offer in return but I haven't figured it out yet. We could work on the details later. My knowledge in medical is a good start." She didn't know how to tell them about the war part. "I'm sure you all can contribute something."

"That's it?" Finn asked, couldn't quite believe it. "They want our knowledge? We've seen how they live, their village and I get it but I just think it's kind of odd. The grounders didn't look like they wanted to have anything to do with us, let alone use our knowledge. So for the Commander to offer an alliance—" He shrugged.

"She mentioned that they are at war with the Mountain Men and she thought we could help." Clarke blurted it out.

"Hold on. Did I just hear you said war?" Jasper laughed nervously. "We're going to help them in a war. So you just agreed to a war?" He and Monty glanced at one another. "You've got to be kidding right?"

"The Mountain Men? Who are they?" Raven asked. It was the first time she had heard of them. Clarke did say about an agreement earlier but not the war part.

All eyes were on her but she had no explanation of who those people were. She should have waited until she knew everything before telling them. "I don't know yet. She didn't have time to tell me yesterday but she will when we meet again later." She knew it wasn't enough but that was all she could tell them.

"No. I don't agree to this." Bellamy shook his head while looking at her in the eye. "We are not going to help them in a war with whoever that is! Those people surely won't agree to this!" He pointed to the other delinquents not far from where they gathered. Some of them turned to look as if they knew they were being talked about. "Even if I convinced them to do it they won't."

"There's no turning back now. I made the agreement prior to your execution in exchange for our safety." Clarke explained even though it wasn't entirely true. He would still get executed if Artigas died but at least the others weren't going to get executed too. She knew they wouldn't agree to a war and neither would she. She was hoping she could find a way for them to not directly involve in the war.

"And she offered you this alliance out of the kindness of her good heart?" Bellamy argued, sarcasm thick in his voice. "Or may be she used my execution to force you into agreeing with this for her secret plan or something. Assuming we won't get killed in the process, can you guarantee that they won't kill us after we win the war? We know how she feels about you so you don't need to worry but we do."

Clarke looked at him angrily when she felt he was turning it into something personal but none of them said anything. They could see the reason why Clarke accepted the deal but Bellamy did have a point. They shouldn't trust the Grounders that easily.

"This war you're talking about-" Finn uttered, "Do you know how bad it is? Because they don't look like they're at war. Besides we haven't seen this Mountain Men yet. We don't know who they are or what the deals between these two groups are. I don't think it is wise to choose sides when we can't see the bigger picture or getting involves in a war that don't concern us. Why make enemies?"

She knew Finn was right. There were lots of questions she needed to ask Lexa. Without clearer picture there was no way they would agree. "We already have enemy Finn, the Grounders. Lexa had called off her initial orders to annihilate us." She reminded them of the truth they all seemed to forget. "She didn't say we have to go to war with them. I'll talk to her about this later. Hopefully she'll shed some light on this but one thing for sure is she won't accept a one-sided alliance. We have to give them something."

Bellamy snorted when Clarke mentioned Lexa. "Really? She can't even make an exception for you?"

"Clarke is there still room for negotiation?" Finn cut him off before he could say something else that would only add to the indignation and build up the tension between them because Clarke looked to have reached her limit. Everyone noticed it too.

She closed her eyes for a second as if to compose herself and then opened them. "Yeah I think so." Lexa would at least listen to what she had to say.

"Great then I suggest we all calm down and wait until we know more." Finn suggested as he looked at the others for some support.

"Yeah I agree with Finn." Raven spoke, backing him up. "We have an agreement but it's not a done deal." The others nodded, agreed. "I'm sure Clarke will negotiate and decide what is in our best interests."

Clarke let out a heavy sigh. She glanced at Bellamy who didn't look too happy Finn had interrupted him. She assumed their discussion was over when nobody said anything. "Raven any good news with the radio?"

"No. It's in the same state as it was last time you ask, not working."

"There's nothing here other than trees and rocks. Where are we going to get working parts? I don't even know where I can get stuff to make us walkie-talkie." Monty huffed and crossed his arms. "What about Mt Weather? You think there's stuff there that could be useful to us?"

"We are not going to Mt Weather." Clarke answered but before they could ask why she added, "There's something about Mt Weather that I need to know. I'll tell you when I know more." Lexa told her not to and she trusted her. There had to be a reason why but telling them it was Lexa who told her not to go wasn't a good idea.

"Let me worry about the radio and how to make contact with the Ark. You just focus on the alliance." Raven looked at Clarke. This was her job after all. "I'm sure Monty, Jasper and I can work something out." She said it even though she had no idea how.

"Okay. Monty how's your leg?" Clarke asked, relieved that it was over.

"It's healing. Thanks. So are we done here?" Monty asked. "I'm hungry."

Clarke nodded and they all got up to their feet except Bellamy. When Finn realised Bellamy wasn't leaving he sat back. He cocked his head to Bellamy when Raven gave him a questioning look. Raven rolled her eyes then left with Octavia.

"Does this have anything to do with you being with her?" Bellamy asked boldly. "What makes you so sure this isn't her plan to screw us over? We don't know them and yet you agree without discussing it with us."

"I didn't have time to discuss!" Clarke exclaimed. "When should we discuss it? Between your fight with her? Or may be when the time the boy was fighting with his life while you were tied up? You know what, I'm sorry. I thought saving your life was more important." She thought he was done but she was wrong.

"Did she tell you not to go to Mt Weather?" Bellamy accused then laughed when she glared at him. "I should've known. Be careful who you trust Clarke." He got up and left.

Finn got up and stood next to her. "I know you and the Commander have a thing but are you sure about this?" He chose his words carefully, didn't want to give Clarke the wrong impression. He trusted her but not the Commander. "He sounds like a jealous ex but he's not completely wrong."

"Do you expect me to throw away an opportunity to stop the killings between us? The constant fear? Like it or not we need this alliance Finn. I don't like the war part as much as you don't but if you guys want to go back the way we were, being hunted by them," She threw her hand in the air in frustration, "then let's do that but don't say I didn't try."

"You know that's not what I meant." He sighed.

"If I recall you wanted a peace talk with them."

"I know but this is a war we're talking about." He knew it was a hard decision to make but Clarke seemed to trust the Commander so much even though they only knew each other for a short time. He couldn't say the rest of them felt the same way.

As if she could read his thoughts, she said, "I do trust her and I don't think she offered it with a bad intention. We will make this work. Finn I need your support in this."

"I can try to convince him but you need to do your part too. We need to know about the Mountain Men. Let us know when you know."

She nodded. "Thanks Finn."

"Don't stress out okay. Remember I'll always have your back." He smiled at her, admiring her courage and determination on keeping her promise to her mother. She took the responsibility and had been thinking about their survival from the moment she stepped foot on the ground when nobody else did, including him. "I'm glad you're with us. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to find Raven." He turned and walked away.

"Don't distract her Finn!" Clarke shouted then laughed.

He turned around as he walked backwards, he shouted "You know that's what I intend to do!"

"O!" Bellamy called his sister. "Wait up!" He jogged over to her.

Octavia rolled her eyes when she heard his voice. She turned around, hands on her hips. "What is it Bell?" She had a feeling she knew what he wanted to talk to her about. If it wasn't about Clarke she would cut her little finger off.

"What's with the tone?" He asked as he drew closer and stood in front of her. From the look on her face he figured she knew. That was why she was avoiding him. "Stop looking at me like that. I just want to talk okay? What? I can't talk to my sister anymore?"

"Uhuh what do you want to talk about?" Octavia didn't buy it but played along. They had plenty of time to talk if he wanted to, not necessarily right now after what just happened.

He looked around, hesitated. He scratched his forehead then crossed his arms defensively. She already knew so there was no point to beat around the bush. "When did you know?" He looked up to meet her eyes.

She smirked. It looked like she didn't have to cut her finger off after all. "The day you thought she was kidnapped, the day you and the others went to the village to look for her. I wasn't missing. I was with Clarke and the Commander. I didn't tell you because it was a secret and it doesn't concern you."

"You know how I feel about her. You could have at least warn me." It took all he got to admit it.

She nodded. "I know but that doesn't mean I have to tell you. She didn't want people to know because of our situation with the Grounders. Her word was 'It's too complicated'." That might not be her exact word but it was close enough.

Bellamy looked kind of dejected. She knew Octavia was right but he wished he had known about it sooner. He didn't know what he could possibly do to change it or prevent it from happening but he would do anything. Was it too late? "I don't trust her."

"Clarke does." Octavia knew what he was thinking. "Lexa cares for her alright and I know Clarke feels the same way about her. Come on Bell. You saw them." He felt for Bellamy but he would be wasting his time chasing after her love.

"I don't care that they kissed! So what! She's still a grounder! She's different from us!" He raised his voice when he spoke and his demeanor had changed. He was trying to cope with his feelings and frustration.

"Different how?" Octavia frowned trying to understand where he was going with it. "Because she's a grounder her feelings don't matter? That she doesn't deserve Clarke? They're just like us. The only difference I can see is that we used to live up there and they down here. One thing you forget that we are all grounders now Bell. Your feelings for her have clouded your judgment."

"Your feelings for her have clouded your judgment!" He laughed after repeating her words. "My feelings for Clarke have nothing to do with this. So you're saying you believe her because they're together now? Is that it? Yesterday she almost killed me O!"

"No. She didn't do that. You did it to yourself." Octavia shook her head, disagreed with her brother. "They have their own rules as much as we have our own. She did what was expected of her as their leader according to their rules." She didn't see Lexa was being biased or whatsoever.

"Are you on her side now? Why are you defending her?" He growled.

"I'm not defending her. I just disagree with you condemning them when we do the exact same thing! They threw me in prison and locked me up for being born! Clarke was locked up for wanting to help her dad doing the right thing! The Councils float people for a simple crime and you think we are better than them? You on the other hand shot that kid. What would you do if the situation is reversed? You're going to let you walk away? You're saying you would do nothing?"

He held up his hand. "Okay I'm sorry for what happened to you. I didn't mean for you to get caught. You know I don't agree with the Council but I will do whatever it takes for us to survive!"

"So are they! We don't know what they've been through to survive down here or how they've come to be like they are now. Do you really think we are in a position to judge? You're my brother and I love you Bell but I'm disappointed with you. I thought you were better."

"O look. I-"

"Grow up Bell. If this is about you trying to win her you should know this isn't the way to do it. You're only going to push her farther away. If this is about you trying to do the best for us then I guess you just have to express yourself better. Because the way I see it, that's not the case." Octavia said before turning to leave. She had nothing more to say.

"What are you looking at!" He scolded the others around him who had taken interest in their conversation. They turned and murmured among themselves. Bellamy sighed as he watched his sister walked away. There was no way he could ask her to help him now.

"Is everything okay?" Clarke asked, a little concern. She saw Octavia and Bellamy had a heated discussion. She could hear their voices from where she was standing even though it wasn't clear what they were discussing.

Octavia nodded. "Yeah everything's fine. What's up?"

"I'm going to see Lexa tomorrow. So I'm hoping you could come with me. The others have work to do."

"So you're saying I don't have work to do?" She crossed her arms, pretending to be offended.

"No!" Clarke quickly stopped her. "That's not what I meant."

Octavia laughed when she saw her fell for it. "Relax I'm just kidding. Sure I'll go with you." She assured her as she glanced over at Bellamy who was staring at them. "But you're right. I don't have work to do. How long? So I can pack my bag."

"I don't know. A day maybe."

"Are you sure one day is enough?" Octavia teased.

"You can still joke after what happened?"

"Come on. Don't let it get to you and don't worry about Bellamy. He'll come around. He just need some time." He just found out his princess was already taken.

She followed Octavia eyes towards Bellamy. "You sure everything's okay?" She saw Octavia nodded but from the way he was looking at them she knew it wasn't. "I know we're not close enough to have a heart to heart talk but if you want to, you know you can trust me."

Octavia grinned when she remembered those were her words to her. "That sounds too familiar."

"That's what friends are for." Clarke winked at her as she walked away.

That's what friends are for. Her world was too small back then; she only had her mother and her brother. A friend was something she had longed-for when she grew up, something she hadn't given much thought after she came down here. "I do have friends now." She smiled.

"She's been standing there for a while." Gustus spoke when Indra came to stand next to him. He knew she was concerned too.

"It's longer than a while." Indra corrected him. "I don't like this. We should do something."

Gustus shook his head, disagreed. "I suggest we wait. Let's see how far it goes. If it gets worse then we act."

They both watched as the Commander stood there, hands behind her back patiently waiting. It looked like she was watching them trained. It wasn't unusual for her to do that. Sometimes she trained with them too but her eyes darted frequently to the gate. That gave her away.

Indra walked over to the Commander, stopped slightly behind her. "Heda, I've sent our fastest rider to every leaders of the clans to let them know about our new alliance just like you ordered." She informed.

Lexa nodded. "Let me know if there is any problem." She figured some of the clans wouldn't take their alliance too easily. She had to make sure her people honoured their agreement and she believed Clarke would do the same with her people. When she crossed her mind, she couldn't help to look at where she last saw her. Her image walking away filled her mind. She had promised to return. Maybe not today.

"Heda if I may speak." She waited until the Commander gave the nod before she asked, "Shouldn't we gather all the leaders together instead of just sending them the news?"

Lexa had thought about it since yesterday. "We will gather them all together when the time is right but for now it is enough." She knew that would be best but she had decided to give Clarke more time to come out with something. Was she doing this because of Clarke or was it because it was in the best interest of her people? She knew that her knowledge in medical alone wasn't enough to offer them an alliance. Her people would always be her priority but at the same time she wanted to protect Clarke by striking the deal.

"Do you really think they will be useful for us?" Indra was sceptical. From what she saw yesterday they were hopeless. She failed to see what Sky People were capable of doing that could benefit them.

"We've been fighting them for generations but we are still nowhere near them. I don't say with their help we will definitely defeat them all but what I've learnt so far-" She looked at Indra who stared at her, "is that having the biggest number isn't enough to make us win the war." She had united the clans and they had the biggest army waiting for her order but it was useless.

Indra stared down, trying to understand what the Commander just said.
