I felt soft fur enclosing me from all directions. ANd then it was just along my back and right side. I was moving, that i knew for sure,but i didnt know how,or where i was i was, it was comfortable. And i snuggled even closer to the warmth on my side. A soft rumbling shook the fur slightly, but soon it stopped, and i was pressed tighter against it.
A bright light shone on the eye exposed to the sky and cold air, I closed my eyes tighter, wishing for this moment and comfort to never end. But a soft velvety voice beckoned to me.
"Sonic, my dearest, my sapphire jewel, it is time to awaken. I was confused but sat up carefully and slowly. I came to realize that I was in Shadows arms. 'Had he carried me far?' I asked myself inwardly as I took notice of the large expanse of wood and vegetation, and the large lack of buildings and houses.
"Where are we?" I asked , fear tugging on my voice, but only slightly. He gestured to a building that I somehow missed. And my jaw dropped, a large mansion sat hidden among all of the trees. With an even larger lake in the front making it a private oasis. A great full moon hung high in the sky as it cast its light upon us, my eyes lighting with wonder at the sight before me.
"I trust everything is to your liking?" Shadow asked, smiling at me. His eyes glistening like freshly spilled blood. I nodded unsure of how else to respond. He laughed and i suddenly got butterflies in my stomach. 'What the hell is wrong with me? Im Sonic the Hedgehog, not some love-sick fool. I quickly jumped out of his arms and through my arms behind my head in a casual gesture.
"S-so we gunna just stand here all night, or are we actually gunna explore the really cool mansion below?" I stuttered, raring to go. Anything to take me away from these feelings.
"Indeed." Shadow laughed.
I avereted looking anywhere in his general direction.
