Mordecai and Rigby admired themselves in the mirror. Mordecai had on a white shirt, stopping at his elbows with a red tie. Rigby wore a black shirt, nothing special.
"Alright dude, let's do this." Mordecai said as he grabbed his wallet. Rigby followed his friend out the door and down the stairs, looking at his kids.
"Alright guys, me and Mordecai will take your mothers out to eat. Be on your best behavior.", he looked at his son, "That includes you, Felix."
Soon, the blue jay and raccoon left the house.
Pops walked inside the living room, "Oh yay! The children of Mordecai and Rigby are staying over! Good show, jolly good show!"
James giggled at the happy lolliman. "Goo show!", he repeated.
Pops smiled, "Who wants to help me bake cookies?" Felix and Candy quickly rose their hands, "I do! I do!", they exclaimed in unison.
"Well follow me, little ones."
The duo got off the couch and ran inside the kitchen. Emily looked at the TV. Her little sister was watching some creepy show about pink, cuddly robots or whatever those were.
She grabbed the remote.
Rydel snatched the remote out of her hands, "Don't mess with my favorite show! This is the new episode."
Emily narrowed her eyes, "No it isn't. It's just the same episode over and over again." The raccoon grabbed hold of the remote, "I wanna watch Steven Universe!"
Rydel pulled as hard as she can. "I wanna watch MY show!"
James clapped his hands together as he watched the two argue over the remote. After a few more good tugs, the remote flew out of their grasps. It cracked through the window, making glass fall.
Emily and Rydel's jaws touched the ground.
"What was that awful sound?" Pops stopped in his tracks, "Oh my..."
Mordecai brushed through his hair, "Man, I hope I look great tonight. It's been forever since I took Margaret out."
Rigby nodded, "Same thing with me and Eileen. I haven't taken her out since Emily left the school dance."
Mordecai looked, "So you aren't overprotective of her about boys? What if she gets kissed by a guy? Or or, what if she gets pregnant with his child?" Mordecai laughed.
Rigby crossed his arms as he looked out the window, "I don't know what you're talking about. What about Candy? Watch, I bet guys will be drooling over her."
The blue jay rolled his eyes, "Whatever dude. Here we are." Mordecai stopped the car in front of a rather clean, but not too fancy restaurant.
The duo exited cart and walked inside. A blue jay waitress looked up from reading her book, "Hello. Party of two?"
"Party of four actually, we're waiting on our wives." Mordecai explained. The blue jay woman sighed in slight disappointment.
"Oh. Well, follow me to your table." Mordecai and Rigby followed the woman, who gave them a table near the window.
"I'll be back to order your drinks."
A few minutes later, Margaret and Eileen finally arrived. They took a seat next to their husbands, "Sorry we're late. We had to get through traffic." Eileen said.
"It's okay. Rigby and I just got here so..."
Margaret glanced at her husband, "Hey Mordecai, Thomas wanted me to tell you that he's finally gonna propose to CJ."
Mordecai smiled, "Really? Thomas finally had the guts to propose." The robin glared, "It took you three months to propose. It took Thomas only three weeks."
"Ohhhhh! She got you there Mordecai!" A couple of costumers glared in annoyance at Rigby.
Eileen placed a hand over her husband. "Lower your voice sweety. Have you-"
"Is everyone ready to order their drinks, maybe even food?" The same waitress came by, holding paper and pencil. When she saw Margaret next to Mordecai, she bit her lip in anger.
"I'll have water." Mordecai ordered.
"Gimme some coke." Rigby replied.
"I'll have iced tea." Margaret said.
"And I'll have Sprite please." The female blue jay nodded and soon walked away. Eileen sighed, "I wonder how the kids are doing."
"Who did this?"
Emily and Rydel pointed at each other, "It was her fault!", they replied in unison. Pops placed a hand over his head, "This might cost lots of money to be fixed. Does anyone know a worker who can fix this?"
The kids were silent.
The lolliman heaved a sigh, "I guess I'll have to get Benson..."
"NO! Don't get him, we...we'll fix it ourselves. I don't know." Rydel looked at her sister, "Now how are we gonna do that?"
"I don't know, but I do know one person who can." She turned her gaze over to Felix. The tan raccoon rubbed his paws together.
"Alright, we need plastic, Skips, and a hammer."
Candy raised a brow, "Why a hammer?"
"Oh you'll find out why."
Few minutes later...
Skips held his hammer, "So you want me hit the window, even though more glass will break?" Felix nodded, "Yes. Then when all the glass is gone, you take the plastic and put it inside the square. It will look like regular glass!"
Candy looked over at him, "Felix, I don't think this will-"
SMASH!
Skips smashed the fragile glass, making Pops cover his ears in pain. "Oh my, this isn't going to work at all. Is there another plan we might think of?"
Felix shook his head, "Nope. This plan is full proof. Trust me."
Skips was finally done smashing the broken window, which was now nothing more than a square in the wall.
Emily gulped, "Benny is not gonna like this."
On cue, the gumball machine walked inside. "I came in because I heard noise." He stopped as he looked at the "window".
His entire body started to turn a dark red, almost glowing. "GAAAHHHHHHHH! Who. Did. This?!"
All eyes were now focused on Emily and Rydel. The siblings smiled nervously. "You see Benny..uh..." Emily stuttered.
Benson heavily breathed in and out in pure anger. Skips noticed this and stood up, "Benson, how about I put plastic on it. Just so nothing can come in. That is, until we can actually fix this.
The gumball machine's body slowly turned back to normal color. "Alright. I'll let them off with a warning. Now go."
The yeti skipped out of the house.
Benson glared at Emily and Rydel before walking away with Pops.
The couples finally received their drinks and meals. While they were eating and chatting, the blue jay waitress spied on them, mostly Mordecai.
She clenched her fists, "I will make you mine. And your little girlfriend will have to get through me."
"Kiara! Serve table seven!", her boss yelled. Kiara nodded quickly, "Yes sir!" She jogged her way over to the table.
