I do not own the characters of Teen Wolf. I only own this idea and the characters I have made for the purpose of this story. Reviews are appreciated. I love to know what you think.

"Can whatever this is really kill him? Will it kill him?" asked Jordan as his grip on the wolf tightened a fraction, as if he were afraid of him slipping from his arms. Lydia bit her bottom lip slightly as she nodded her head at the Deputy.

"It can and will kill him if he doesn't get help. We're trying everything that we possibly can to help him, but we really have no idea what we're doing. Allison is the only one who truly knows what to do, that's only because her cousin went through the exact same thing." explained the Banshee with a hint of relief in her eyes as she watched the rest of the drink easily slide down the wolf's throat.

"Is there anything I can do to help him along? I'm not going to lose him." asked Jordan with hints of firmness and determination in his voice. He meant what he said, he was not going to lose his kid brother and best friend.

"Just be there for him is all I can think of until you really know what's going on. You seem to know how to handle him, how to convince him to do things that he needs to. You could really be a big help with this. I'll ask Allison about it later today and see what she says about it and then I'll get back to you. You and Derek seem to really have a good connection which is exactly what he needs right now." explained Lydia as she watched John walk back into the room with a second soda, that he pressed into Lydia's hands before she placed it in her purse.

"For on the ride to Deaton's, he'll probably need a second one by the way that he looks. Jordan, go on and help Derek out to the car while Lydia grabs her stuff off the couch. If you want to go along with her, go for it, I'll have Glenn cover the rest of your shift." explained John as he watched his Deputy slowly ease the wolf up from the couch with an arm around his waist, Derek's green eyes half open as he struggled to keep himself conscious again. Jordan looked towards Lydia for permission, who nodded at him with a smile.

"You're crazy if you think I'm going to keep you from him, you seem to have exactly what he needs right now. You're welcome to be around him as much as you want." explained the girl as she gathered up her purse and threw it over his shoulder, watching as the Deputy and the wolf made their way from the break room and down the hall towards the door of the station. John gave Lydia a look that asked many questions, many that she didn't have the answers to, she reached over and gave his arm a squeeze with a whispered "He'll be okay" before walking from the room to follow after the pair. Jordan was walking around to the other side of the back of the car by the time the girl had reached her car, his face and eyes full of worry and concern, his foot tapping on the ground a bit out of habit.

"Are you sure he's going to be okay? I don't remember Derek ever being so – light." asked the Deputy as he looked from Lydia, to the car, and then back to the girl.

"It's going to take some time, maybe a few years, but he'll be okay. Derek is strong enough to beat this, we all know that he has the strength in him to beat this." explained the strawberry blonde as they both took their respectful seats in the car, the sound of the doors closing echoing around them.

Derek's eyes had opened fully by the time they reached Deaton's clinic but no color had returned to his face and he was still shaking in his best friend's hold. His hands were cold and his nail beds and lips were a bit blue, but his finger tips were warm, showing he was still getting circulation. He pulled his leather jacket around his body even tighter in hopes of getting a hint more warmth from the material, giving Jordan a confused but grateful look when he felt the older man's Deputy jacket come around his shoulders, the thicker material giving off more warmth, adding to the warmth that Jordan's body heat had given it.

"You look like you need the jacket more than I do. Besides, now you look like a true Beacon Hills Deputy." explained Jordan with a smile on his face, his smile growing even wider when he saw the corners of the wolf's mouth curve upwards a bit.

"Come on Deputy 1 and Deputy 2, Deaton and the Pack are expecting us." teased Lydia lightly as she got out of the car and waited with a bright smile on her face as both the older teens got out of the car, both of them instantly moving to the others' side, flanking Lydia from behind as they walked into the veterinary office. Everybody's heads whipped towards the front door when the sound of the door chiming shut caught their attention.

"Thank you for bringing him down, Lydia. It's nice to see you again, Derek, you too, Jordan. Come on back to the exam room, if you will. If you all can fit, without crowding me or Derek, you're welcome to come in as well." explained Deaton as he gestured towards the exam room down the hall, the Pack rushing down the hall first, earning them a soft and exhausted chuckle from their Alpha with Stiles and Allison slowly trailing behind them all to keep an eye on them. Derek, Jordan, and Lydia followed after Stiles and Allison, the girl and Deputy flanking Derek, who was finally able to walk on his own, even though he was still shaking like a leaf. Deaton walked over to the exam table and tapped it with his hand to get the wolf to take a seat on it before he would start the examination.

"Lydia, will you explain to me what condition he was in when you got to him?" asked the vet as he started to listen to the wolf's breathing before taking his pulse, counting out the beats while watching the clock to keep track.

"Derek was cold, shaking, completely ashy pale and barely conscious. We managed to get a can of soda in him with Jordan's help but no color has come back to him yet." explained Lydia as she cast a worried look towards the wolf on the table.

"He's still shaking, still very cold, his body temperature is dropping, color is still gone from his skin. How has he been eating lately?" asked Deaton as he started to write the information down in a chart before setting it on the counter.

"We've been starting out slow, small portions, but we've been trying to incorporate snacks in between the meals. We've managed one meal so far with one snack, but we're hoping to increase it soon once we get his meal plan. Today there was a bit of a set back, but we're rebounding it hopefully. It was an accomplishment when we got the soda in him and he hasn't purged for the past two days, so it's a start. Allison is going to be getting a hold of her cousin in hopes of the two of them getting in contact so they can work together during recovery." explained Lydia as she watched the wolves in the room move a bit closer to the Alpha in sympathy and comfort. Stiles made a move to get closer to Derek, but Allison grabbed his arm and held him back, as well as narrowed eyes from Scott keeping him in place. Jordan walked over and hopped up onto the table beside Derek, rubbing at his arms and back in hopes of getting him warmer.

"From everything that you've told me and from my own examination, he'll need a glucose drip tonight. We can put the IV in here and have him take the pocket-pack home with him, or he can stay here overnight with the IV in. If he goes home with the IV, Scott knows very well how to handle it and I know that Derek knows how to handle an IV as well from watching me with his siblings in the past. Derek, I need you to take those jackets off, please." explained Deaton as he turned to get everything prepared for the IV as Derek started to take off the jackets, setting them on the other side of the table.

"Is it really necessary? I – I really don't need it. I'll be – I'll." started out Derek before his eyes rolled back in his skull and his body locked up, rough tremors moving through his muscles in rapid sessions, his head tilted back a bit.

"On his side! Get him on his side!" ordered Erika as she burst through the wall of the Pack around the table and helped Jordan maneuver Derek onto his side, wrapping her arms around his side to keep him from falling off the table, his head resting on Jordan's lap as he struggled to gain control of his body again.
