I do not own the characters of Teen Wolf. I only own this idea and the characters I have created for the purpose of this story. Reviews are appreciated. I love to know what you think.
"Scott, grab me the Diazepam out of the drawer and a syringe. Erika, Jordan, keep him from falling off the table. Isaac, keep your ears trained on his heart rate, if it changes you let me know immediately." ordered Deaton as he slid his fingers over the curve of the wolf's arm in order to find a thick vein and a pulse point. The sound of slamming drawers were heard as the young Alpha rummaged through them in order to try and find the vial of Diazepam that was mixed in with the other vials in that drawer. He grabbed the glass vial and a syringe off of the counter and shoved them into his Boss' hands, his eyes full of fear as he saw his Beta writhing on the table as Erika and Jordan struggled to keep him in place.
"His heart is racing, it's beating way too fast for comfort, it's skipping beats." explained Isaac frantically as he made a move to step towards the wolf only to have Boyd and Jackson pull him back, a whine building in his throat.
"Any faster and he'll go into shock." explained the vet as he located a vein and slid the needle in, injecting the medicine in order to slow down or stop the seizure in its tracks. He tossed the syringe into the trash bin and pressed his fingers to the side of the wolf's neck to feel his pulse, knowing that the medicine would kick in and take affect in the next few seconds by how fast his heart was spreading it. The wolf's body stopped jerking as violently as it was, short and small tremors running through his body before it came to complete stop, his heart slowing down to a more stable rate.
"What can we do now, Deaton? There has to be a way to keep him stable." asked Stiles once he had the nerve to finally speak up, despite the warning look that he received from Allison. Deaton monitored the wolf's pulse again as he wrote it down in the open chart on the counter, before checking to see if the wolf's pupils were reacting to stimulant.
"For now we monitor his vitals and get a glucose drip started, we keep the dosage of Diazepam continuous until we're sure of the fact that the seizures have stopped. He'll need to monitored for the next few hours until he's completely conscious and alert." explained the vet as he closed the chart, watching as Jordan threaded his fingers through Derek's short black hair as Erika stroked her hand up and down the wolf's arm and over his nape.

Derek's eyes fluttered a few times as he came back to consciousness, his vision blurred and swirled a bit as he reached up to rub at his eyes to clear his vision. Confusion filled his head as he realized that he was no longer sitting up, but laying on his side with his head in Jordan's lap, feeling fingers carding through his hair in a soothing manner. His eyes scanned the room where he saw various Pack members splayed out, some sitting in chairs and some sprawled out on the floor, his eyes landing on the needle that was placed in the crook of his arm. Fear laced the wolf's veins as he made a grab at the needle and the tube, beginning to pull it out before a hand came down onto his, earning the owner of the hand a deep, warning growl.
"You can growl at me all you want to, Derek, but that drip stays in." explained the Deputy firmly as his hand closed down around the wolf's to keep him from pulling the IV out. A soft whine left the wolf's lips as he pulled himself free from the Deputy's grasp, tearing the tape off of his skin.
"Out. Out. The IV has to come out. It has to come out now. No. No. No. It needs out." exclaimed Derek with a panicked voice as he pulled the final piece of tape off of his skin, his hands shaking in panic and fear as he sat up quickly, ignoring the fact that everything around him spun, all but ripping the needle from his skin, tossing it as far away from himself as possible, his panic and fear growing when he felt the Deputy's arms come down around him in a tight grasp.
"Deaton! Scott! Allison!" called out the Deputy as he struggled to keep his grasp around the wolf, who was growing and twisting and hissing almost like a trapped cat. Deaton walked through the door of the examination room and took in the fact that the IV was out of the wolf's arm and was thrown across the room, the clear liquid tripping from the open tube.
"What the hell happened?! What was that?! No, Scott, don't! Let me go!" snapped out Derek as he felt the Alpha's arms come around him to replace Jordan's, knowing the Alpha wolf would have a greater chance of holding the Beta still.
"Derek. Der, you need to calm down. Please, I need you to calm down. You're alright, nothing in that IV is going to hurt you. It's going to do some good for you, it'll balance everything in your system out. Der, you had a seizure, that IV is going to help stabilize you so it doesn't happen again. I need you to relax, please. Can you do that for me?" explained and cooed Scott as he tightened and relaxed his grip a few times, nuzzling his Beta's neck and nosing along the shell of his ear, in desperate attempts to get his Beta to relax. Derek growled softly in his chest and tightened his muscles, his back arching a bit in a final attempt to break away from the younger wolf, before giving in with a soft grunt of defeat, letting himself relax back against the wolf's chest, his head resting back against his shoulder.
"There you go, Der. Will you let Deaton reattach the IV, please? Can we come to a compromise?" asked Allison as she reached out and rubbed at the older wolf's knee with her hand, watching as the blue eyed Beta raised an eyebrow at her, obviously intrigued by whatever compromise she wanted to do.
"If, and only if, you let Deaton hook the IV back up, will I let you into the kitchen to prepare a Pack meal as a whole. Anything you could think of making, entree and dinner and dessert. Any and every possibility. As well as having my cousin meet up with you at the stables for a first 'get to know you' meeting in a place where you'll both be comfortable. Do we have a compromise?" asked Allison, her words showing every truth of what she had said. Derek seemed to contemplate the compromise before he outstretched his arm towards the Vet, seeing the proud smiles of the Pack around him. He knew that he had done the right thing.
