Omg I'm so sorry for not updating. I went on a trip to London, had lots of test, was sick blah blah blah. You know the deal. BUT I'M BACK!

Disclaimer: I do not own any of this, except for some small things I guess, but the rest: all JKR and Uncle Rick yay I wish I was as awesome as them. *cries*

The last two weeks I worked on a schedule. When I woke up I'd eat breakfast, after that I'd read one of my new (school)books (for some reason my ADHD didn't affect me as much while I was reading, – I bought some more since we arrived – with Lunar, my cat, purring on my lap. Then I'd eat lunch, let out Zeus to spread his wings and after that I'd do something fun with my mother – eat Florean Fortescue's ice-cream, play silly games, walk through Diagon Alley or going sightseeing in muggle London – which I enjoyed a lot, I can't even remember the last time I felt like this – maybe in Montauk but nowhere else – without Smelly Gabe ruining everything. After the mother-daughter time we'd eat and then I'd read until it was time to go to bed. On the end of the two weeks I only had Hogwarts: A History left, let's just say best for the last.

The last week was over pretty soon. My books were safely packed in my trunk just like my uniform and other supplies plus my favorite muggle outfits, you never know what would happen. There was only problem, I'd miss my mum so much and she had to return to Gabe. She told me she'd be alright and of course I believed her. She's the strongest woman I ever got to know. Knowing her past you shouldn't be surprised though. Zeus and Lunar were in their cages, which Lunar protested to greatly.

When we arrived at King's Cross Station we got a trolley to put my trunk on and together we walked over the crowded station. Mum pushing the trolley while I was holding Zeus and Lunar.

"Where do we have to be exactly?" My mum asked with a tone I couldn't figure out.

I grabbed the ticket and read, "Platform nine and three-quarters." I stared at my mum. Suspicious about her earlier tone. She had to be kidding me. "Mum seriously, that platform doesn't exist," I exclaimed.

" Oh, but it does." And she pointed at a solid wall between platform nine and ten. " Just run through the wall."

"Mum," I argued. "The last time I checked walls were solid and you'd get hurt when you walk into them. I'm so not walking into a wall. I rather not have a bump or for Merlin's sake, a concussion," I ranted to her.

She just chuckled, "come on, we'll go together. Then we'd both have a bump or concussion." Not much better, I thought. Mum continued talking, "You don't want to be late and miss the train, do you?" I shook my head, of course I didn't want to be late, I've been looking out for it since I found out about Hogwarts. I looked at the – seemed to be – solid wall. " I'll count to three and then we'll run, okay?" I nodded again. "One… Two… Three!" Together we ran to the wall and I was still sure we were going to walk into it and make a scene, I closed my eyes out of fear but nothing happened. When we finally slowed down I finally opened my eyes. It wasn't what I expected to see, a platform with a sign saying 'platform nine and three-quarters'. On the railway stood a long scarlet steam train with the Hogwarts express written on the side of the train.

Come on, Cassi, let's find you an empty compartment. It wasn't that hard to be honest, we were really early. Together with my mum I put my trunk away and put Zeus cage next to where I was planning to sit. I let Lunar out of her cage which she was quite happy about. She stretched and lied down on one of the seats. Then I looked up at my mum and gave her a big hug. "I'm going to miss you mum," I whispered. "When will I see you again?"

"I'm going to miss you too, sweetie. You're able to come home in the Christmas holidays. I expect an owl every two weeks and of course you've got to tell me what house you're in." I nodded. "I love you, Cassi, never forget."

"I love you too mum." She gave me a kiss and walked out of the train, the platform was starting to fill with other Hogwarts students.

I was sitting lazily in the compartment when the raven haired boy from Madam Malkin's opened the door, "Could I sit with you, all the other compartments are full and, well, since I know you a little, well, you know," He stumbled.

"Of course," I smiled at him. Suddenly two red haired boys appeared behind the raven haired boy holding a trunk with H.J.P. written on it. They were identical, probably twins. One of them looked at me and winked. I watched as they put away the raven haired boy's trunk.

"Thanks." The boy said, pushing hair out of his face.

"What's that?" One of the twins said suddenly, pointing at the smaller boy's forehead.

"Blimey," Said the other twin. "You're him."

"He is," Said the first twin. "Aren't you?"

The smaller boy looked like he didn't know what they were talking about and he proved my point with what he said next, "What?"

"Harry Potter," The twins said at the same time.

Harry Potter, are you serious, the one who suffered most because of my grandfather is in the same year and compartment, I mentally groaned. Merlin's pants, fate hated me. I tried not to look guiltily at him. I missed the last part of the conversation between Harry Potter and the twins, who had left, which meant I was alone with my granddad's last victim. The air was tense around us so I thought of starting a conversation.

"I don't think I told you my name when we met at Madam Malkin's shop.' I started. "I'm Cassiopeia Jackson but most people call me Cassi." He smiled at me.

"I'm Harry, Harry Potter." I smiled back at him.

"I heard, you just confirmed it in front of those twins." He blushed slightly of embarrassment. "It doesn't matter, nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too," He grinned at me. We were both quiet but this time it wasn't awkward, just calming. We saw the twins hop off the train through the window. The conversation between them and the rest of the twin's family was hilarious. I found out Ron was their younger brother who was a first-year too. It was so hard not to laugh when their mother grabbed him to clean his nose. I had a hard time not to fall off my seat, laughing my ass off. Then an older boy arrived, Percy the prefect. Percy had already changed into his black Hogwarts robes. I noticed a shiny red and gold badge on his chest with a little P on it. Probably meant prefect, I don't think people would walk around with it for any other reason. The twins – I found out were called Fred and George – kept making jokes about him which I wasn't surprised about, I would do the same (I was still trying to not laugh). By the time they were done joking and finishing each other's sentences I had tears in my eyes from trying to keep in my laughter. Their mother interrupted the brothers.

"All right, dear, well, have a good term – send me an owl when you get there." She kissed Percy on the cheek as he left. Then she turned to the twins. "Now, you two – this year, you behave yourselves. If I get one more owl telling me – you've blown up a toilet or –"

"Blown up a toilet? We've never blown up a toilet."

"Great idea though, thanks, mum.'

"It's not funny. And look after Ron."

"Don't worry ickle Ronniekins is safe with us." Notice me still trying not to laugh out loud and draw their attention or give them the idea that I'm spying upon them.

"Shut up," Said Ron again. He was almost as tall as the twins already. I sniggered when I noticed his nose was still pink where his mother had rubbed it.

"Hey, mum, guess what? Guess who's on the train?" I heard Harry lean back a little but I kept watching, I didn't care if they saw me watching out of the train, I could say I was just watching people passing by. No, not awkward, not at all.

"You know that black-haired boy who was near us in the station? Know who he is?"

"Who?"

"Harry Potter!"

I saw the little girl jump up and down, "Oh, mum, can I go on the train and see him, mum, oh please…" I felt sorry for Harry, the little girl acted like he was a cute little baby panda in the zoo. Their mother her concerned side turned on about something that Harry was alone and I felt even more sorry for him. I hated people pitying me, I don't know about Harry, though.

When they asked how Voldemort – they called him You-Know-Who – it felt weird to hear people feared my grandfather, this made me want to hide it even more. I didn't want people to be scared of me. It felt weird people didn't even dare to speak out his name. Mum told me he's gone. It's not like he'd just come back from the death or something. Merlin, I just jinxed it. I got pulled out of my thoughts by the little redheaded girl, she was crying.

"Don't, Ginny, we'll send you loads of owls," One of the twins said.

"We'll send you a Hogwarts toilet seat," The other said. That was also the part where I couldn't hold my laughter anymore. The tried to find out where it came from but I was on the floor since I'd fallen off my seat. Harry was watching me with an amused look in his eyes. He was also trying to keep his laughing in control. I was starting to calm down wiping the tears from my eyes and sat back down on my seat. At that same moment the compartment door slid open and the youngest redheaded boy, Ron I remembered, came in.

"Anyone sitting there?" He asked pointing at one of the seats. "Everywhere else is full."

Harry and I shook our head. Ron sat down glancing at Harry to which Harry tried to ignore. I looked at Ron, he had still a black mark on his nose, which made me to hold my laughter again.

"Hey, Ron." The twins were back at exactly the wrong moment and I started laughing again. When I was done they all looked at me weirdly.

"What?" I asked them, I felt a blush coming up.

One of the twins looked at me, "We know you were listening to us."

I scowled at him, "Whatever." Stop staring at me or I'll hex you."

The twins started laughing, "Feisty, are you?" He looked at his brother. "This is George and I'm Fred Weasley and you may be?"

"Cassi Jackson." The twins grinned at me. They were serious troublemakers, you know, people that are always on the verge to get kicked out but not just yet. Then they turned back to Ron.

"Listen, we're going down the middle of the train – Lee Jordan's got a new tarantula down there."

"Right," Mumbled Ron. I saw the fright in his eyes when they mentioned the spider so my thoughts immediately went to arachnophobia. Poor Ronniekins.

The twins looked around the compartment again, "Bye Harry, Cassi, Ronniekins." Ron scowled at them, not like it worked, it only made their grins bigger.

"Are you really Harry Potter?" Ron suddenly asked. Harry nodded at that. They started a conversation but everything slowly started to became blurry and I let sleep get over me. It had been tiring weeks.

Dream

A woman was crying, she had a baby, her baby, in her arms and it was almost dying. The woman prayed to the gods if they could save her. Suddenly four flashes of light made Sally hide her and her child's eyes. Four divine beings appeared, two female and two male. The woman apparently knew who they were since she bowed deeply to them.

"Please save my child," She begged them, tears streaming down her face. One of the divine beings, a male with sea-green eyes, almost the same eyes like the little baby the woman was holding only without the silver outlining, walked forwards to take the little baby and he looked at his the others.

"Can you help me save this child, please? This girl would be the perfect girl for the Great Prophesy. She's part god, part witch. She'll be powerful enough to save the world for sure, if you'd just help me save her." He also had tears streaming down his face. One of the females walked forward, she had auburn hair and warm brown eyes with little flames in it. She looked like she was about eight but with these divine beings you knew you couldn't let their appearance fool you.

"I will help you dear brother, I'll do everything to save a child, but to save her from dying, I've got to give her more than my blessing. I've got to put my blood in her meaning that I've got to blood-adopt her." She told him sadly. The man with the baby in his hands nodded and helped the mother get up.

"Love, are you okay with this?" The mother nodded slowly. She knew it was the only way to save her precious daughter.

The divine male with the baby in his hands handed the baby to the eight-year-old looking. She conjured a gleaming bronze knife out of nothing and pricked it in her index finger. Golden ichor, blood of the gods, came streaming out of it. She placed her blooded finger on the girl's forehead and chanted in Latin.

"I, Vesta, goddess of house and hearth, adopt Cassiopeia Selene Jackson as my daughter."

Both began to glow. When the glow disappeared the baby looked a lot healthier. Her appearance had changed slightly. Her hair had now auburn highlights in it and her eyes also changed, brown flecks moved along with the sea-green and little flames, like the eight-year-old looking divine being, in it. "She's my first child ever and of course Vesta's Champion."

She hugged the baby and gave it back to the sea-green eyed male, then the other female stepped forwards. She also had auburn hair but her eyes were clear silver, people always thought she was the daughter of their king but she was only a guardian, still a goddess no less.

"I, Lupa, guardian of Rome, give Cassiopeia Selene Jackson my blessing." By this the girl glowed silver. The only thing different about the little baby was that the silver outlining was now more visible.

The only one that hadn't spoken yet was the other male, he had jet-black hair and eyes the colour of the sky. "For this once, I'll do you a favor brother but only because Apollo warned us that she'd be our only hope and because she's the chosen one of one of my old lovers."

"I, Zeus, king of the gods, god of the sky and lightning, give Cassiopeia Selene Jackson my blessing." There was a familiar glow and added to the extraordinary eyes were light blue specks as clear as a summer day sky.

The sea-green eyed male looked at the little child. "One day you'll save the world, young one, and one day I'll meet you again and I'll tell you how proud I am to be your father."

Back to you, real world

I woke up with a start. What was that dream supposed to mean? Zeus, Lupa, weren't they supposed to be from the Greek and Roman myths? Lupa, that was the She-Wolf, wasn't she? The one of Romulus and Remus? And what about the divine sea-green eyed male, was he really her father? Or was I thinking too much of it, that it was just some random dream? I looked at Harry.

"How long was I asleep?" I asked.

"About an hour, I think, it's almost half past twelve." He said looking at his watch. I nodded.

The compartment slid open and it showed an old woman pushing a trolley with all kinds of wizarding sweets. "Anything from the trolley, dears?" I jumped up to get some money and I saw Harry do the same. Ron muttered something about sandwiches.

Harry asked the old woman for Mars Bars, I laughed and told them they don't have those in the wizarding world. I grabbed a box of Bertie Bott's Every-Flavour Beans, Pumpkin Pasties, Cauldron Cakes and some Chocolate Frogs. I paid the woman nine silver sickles and five bronze knuts and walked away with the sweets in my arms. I dumped it on the seat next to me and started nibbling on a pasty. I'm known with the different sort of sweets since I arrived in Diagon Alley, I had them all in the last few weeks.

"Hungry, are you?" Ron asked Harry and me.

"Starving," Harry and I said at the same time which made all of us laugh.

Ron had taken out a lumpy package and unwrapped it. There were four sandwiches in it. He pulled one of them apart and said, "She always forgets I don't like corned beef."

"Swap you for one of these," Harry said, holding up a pasty. "Go on – "

"You don't want this, it's all dry," Said Ron. "She hasn't got much time," He added quickly. "You know, with the five of us."

"Ron," I interrupted his self-pity. "Just take the damn pasty or I'll force you." I threatened him with a wink to show him I didn't mean it.

"Alright, okay, I'm already on it," Ron said holding his left hand up in surrender while he grabbed the pasty with his right hand. "Don't have to act scary," He muttered.

I opened a Chocolate Frog and a card fell out of it. Harry got it off the floor and wanted to hand it back to me. I held up my hand. "Keep it," I told him. "I don't need it since I don't collect them but maybe you can."

"They're famous witches and wizards," Ron added. "Can you see who's on the card. I miss Agrippa and Ptolemy."

"So this is Dumbledore." Harry exclaimed which met he probably had the Dumbledore card.

"You surely know who Dumbledore is, right?" Said Ron. "Can I have a frog? I might get Agrippa." I handed him one. "Thanks – "

While I was eating I closed off Harry and Ron's conversation and pulled out a book I got in the weeks I was in Diagon Alley with my mum. Lunar was already laying comfortably on my lap.

Not a long time later – that's how it felt anyway even though when I looked outside it had to be around five already – there was a knock on our compartment door. A round-faced boy came in, looking tearful. "Sorry," He said. "But have you seen my toad?" When we all shook our head he wailed, "I've lost it again, it keeps running away from me!"

"You'll find him," I tried to reassure him. Harry nodded.

"He'll turn up," He told the round-faced boy.

"Yes," Said the boy miserably. "Well, call me if you see him…" Then he left.

"Don't know why he looked so bothered," Said Ron. "If I'd brought a toad I'd lose it as quick as I could. Mind you, I brought Scabbers, so I can't talk." Scabbers was Ron's rat, it was big and grey and he was sleeping on Ron's lap.

I'm actually really surprised Lunar hasn't killed him yet," I told Ron. "She hunted all the mice out of the Leaky Cauldron. I found a lot of them back in my room, half eaten. Not nice to look at."

Ron laughed and said in disgust, "He might have died and you wouldn't even notice. I tried to turn him yellow yesterday to make him look more interesting but the spell didn't work. I'll show it to you, wait…" He pulled out a battered looking wand out of his trunk. Something white was glinting at the end. "Yeah, I know, unicorn hair's poking out."

He was cut off when the compartment once again slid open. It was the toad seeking boy again, but this time he was with a girl. She was already wearing her Hogwarts uniform.

"Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost his." She said. She had a bossy kind of voice, bushy brown hair and rather large front teeth. She sort of reminded me of an otter.

"We've already told him we haven't seen it," said Ron but the girl wasn't listening, instead she was looking at Ron's wand.

"Oh, are you doing magic? Let's see it, then." She sat down and I chuckled at Ron's expression.

"Er, yeah, all right," He said and cleared his throat.

"Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow,

Turn this stupid, fat rat yellow."

He waved his wand, but nothing happened. Scabbers stayed grey and fast asleep.

"Are you sure that's a real spell?" said the otter-girl. "Well, it's not very good, is it? I've tried a few simple spells just for practice – " Hey, just like me. "– and it's all worked for me. Nobody in my family's magic at all, it was such a surprise when I got my letter but I was so please, of course, I mean, it's the very best school of witchcraft there is, I've heard – I've learned all our course books by heart, of course, I just hope that that's enough – I'm Hermione Granger, by the way, who are you?" She said it all in rapid speed and I mentally sighed in relief that she finally stopped babbling.

"I'm Ron Weasley," Ron muttered.

"Cassiopeia Jackson, call me Cassi," Hermione opened her mouth but I stopped her by continuing. "Yes, as in the Greek constellation and also yes, I know the story. I know almost all Greek myths. The gods are some messed up lot. I also know all about the Roman and Greek culture and almost all important people, such as Archimedes, Plato and people like that. My mum found it important for me to know for some reason." I chuckled.

"That's so cool, could you tell me some story sometime? Ancient Greece is so interesting and they came really far with logics and maths and those kind of things and almost all spells are Latin," Said Hermione to me and then she looked at Harry, "And you?"

"Harry Potter," Said Harry.

"Are you really?" She asked. "I know all about you of course – I got a few extra books for background reading." She called out the books Harry was mentioned in. I snorted at Harry's dazed expression.

"Am I?" He said.

"Goodness, you didn't know, I'd have found out everything I could if it was me," Hermione answered. "Do the three of you know what house you'll be in? I've been asking around and I hope I'm in Gryffindor, it sounds by far the best, I heard Dumbledore himself was one, but I suppose Ravenclaw wouldn't be too bad… Anyway we'd better go and look for Neville's toad. You better change, you know, I expect we'll be there soon." She left with the round-faced boy out of the compartment.

"I'm going to change… Could you two leave for a second?" They nodded and walked out talking. I put my robes on as fast as I could and called the boys back.

"You not going to change?" I asked them.

Ron shook his head, "I think I'll do it later."

"Same," Harry said.

I shrugged and got back to my seat, putting my feet on the seat next to me. Lunar got back on my lap and fell asleep there. I got my book again and shut out all the sounds around me.

Little time later the compartment door opened again. Why was everybody keeping me away from my book, it got me seriously annoyed. Three boys entered and I immediately recognized the blonde in the middle from Madam Malkin's. He was looking at Harry with interest.

"Is it true?" he said. "They're saying all down the train that Harry Potter's in this compartment. So it's you, is it?" He stared at Harry.

"Yes," said Harry. I noticed him looking at the other boys. Both of were thickset and looked like bodyguards. I guess Draco also saw them as that.

"Oh, this is Crabbe and this is Goyle," said the blonde, noticing where we were looking. "And my name's Malfoy, Draco Malfoy."

Ron gave a slight cough, which could have been a snigger. Draco Malfoy looked at him.

"Think my name's funny, do you? No need to ask who you are. My father told me all the Weasleys have red hair, freckles, and more children than they can afford."

He turned back to Harry. "You'll soon find out some wizarding families are much better than others, Potter. You don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there."

He held out his hand to shake Harry's, but Harry didn't take it. "I think I can tell who the wrong sort are for myself, thanks," he said coolly. I saw Malfoy turn pink and then looked at me.

"What's your name, by the way?"

"Cassiopeia Jackson,' I told him coldly.

"After the constellation?" He asked and I nodded. "Does that mean you're pureblood? I recall you saying your mother was a witch and you never knew your father? If you are, how don't I know you, I know almost all pureblooded wizarding families."

I glared at him and he flinched. "My father was magical too, yes, and I'm from America." I told him. "What are you trying to say?"

"Oh, nothing much. You're just too good looking to hang with this pathetic lot." He said.

I stood up and walked to Malfoy. My eyes darkened and I jabbed his chest threateningly. "Did you just call my friends pathetic. Do you want me to hex you? I've practised, you know, I know a few funny curses, well funny for me anyway." Malfoy took a step back and I smirked at him. He turned back to Harry, glancing at me every few seconds.

"I'd be careful if I were you, Potter," he said slowly. "Unless you're a bit politer you'll go the same way as your parents. They didn't know what was good for them either. You hang around with riff-raff like the Weasleys and that Hagrid and it'll rub off on you."

Harry and Ron stood up now, too. Ron's face was as red as his hair and if I wasn't that angry I would've laughed about it, but I was that angry and angry me meant scary me.

"Say that again," Ron said.

"Oh, going to fight us?" Malfoy sneered.

"Get out now or we will," Said Harry bravely. It looked quite weird, scrawny Harry against the way bigger Crabbe and Goyle.

"But we don't feel like leaving, do we, boys? We've eaten all our food, and you still seem to have some." Goyle reached out to the Chocolate Frogs next to Ron. Before Ron could do anything to Goyle, said boy let out a horrible yell.

Scabbers was hanging off his finger, sharp teeth sunk deep in his hand. Malfoy and Crabbe backed away as Goyle swung his hand round and round, howling loudly. When Scabbers finally let go, he was thrown against the window. It seemed he had fallen asleep again. The three boys disappeared out of the compartment at once. Probably thinking there were more rats walking around the compartment. They heard footsteps and a second later, Hermione Granger came in.

"What has been going on?" Looking at the sweets all over the floor and Ron holding Scabbers' tail.

"I think he's knocked out," Ron said to us and then looked closer. "No – I don't believe it – he's gone back to sleep." I laughed and rolled my eyes, typical. He looked at the both of us. "You've met Malfoy before?"

And so we've told him about the meeting in Diagon Alley. "Partly why Harry's sitting here, to be honest. He recognized me from Madam Malkin's." Ron nodded understandingly.

"I've heard of his family," Ron said darkly. "They were some of the first to come back to our side after You-Know-Who disappeared. Said they'd been bewitched. My dad doesn't believe it. He says Malfoy's father didn't need an excuse to go over to the Dark Side." He looked about me. "What about you, about your parents, I mean, you know, he said you're a pureblood, by the way, you're really creepy when you're angry. Are you really from America?"

I laughed, "Thanks." Telling about my parents was what I hesitated about, not really wanted to talk about it but it had to happen one time even though I wouldn't tell them about Voldemort being my grandfather, "My mum is a pureblood witch, yes, I don't know about my father though. He had to leave, when mum was pregnant with me, on some important business trip, she always told me he was lost at sea. She hates to talk about him since she really loved him. Her mother died at young age and her father left them at her birth. After my mum's foster father died too we moved to New York." Harry and Ron looked at me sympathetically.

"Wait, so you come all the way from the States to go to Hogwarts, isn't there an American magic school?" Harry asked.

"Yeah, all the way from the US, I don't know if there's a school in the States. I wanted to go to Hogwarts since I knew it existed so I would go here anyway whatever they'd say."

The we noticed Hermione still standing there and turned to her. "Can we help you with something?" Ron asked.

"You'd better hurry up and put your robes on, the driver says we're almost there. You haven't been fighting, have you? You'll be in trouble before we even get there!"

"Scabbers has been fighting, we didn't do anything." Ron said, scowling at her.

"And I threatened him maybe a little bit." I added. Hermione looked surprised at me. "What?" I asked, he offended my friends. I have the right to come up for them, right?"

"I guess so," She said.

Ron coughed, holding his robes in his hands, "Could you both leave so we're able to change?" I nodded.

"Call me when I'm allowed to come in again. Come, Hermione." I put my hand on her shoulder.

"All right – I only came in here because people outside are behaving very childishly, racing down the corridors," Said Hermione in a sniffy voice. "And you've got dirt on your nose, by the way, did you know?"

Ron glared at her and I pulled her with me out of the compartment. She walked away with her nose in the air and I waited in front of our compartment staring out of the window.

"Oi, Jackson," I heard to my left. I looked up and saw the twins running towards me. I smiled at them. "What's up?"

"Hey Weasleys, just waiting for Ron and Harry to call me back in, they're changing." I explained him.

"Oh, please, call us Fred and George, young lady," He winked at me. I chuckled.

"Well, hello then, Fred and George," I laughed and the door behind me slid open. It was Ron.

"Cassi, you can come back in," He told me. When he spotted Fred behind me he said, "Oh, hey Fred, George, what are you doing here?"

"Just talking to this young lady here," I rolled my eyes.

"I'll come in in a few seconds, alright?" Ron nodded and closed the compartment door again.

Fred looked at me, with a mischievous smile, "It was you laughing, when we said goodbye to our mother."

"Maybe I was," I said. "You guys are quite hilarious. Tell me when you're planning to send a toilet seat, I'd love to see if you'll actually do it."

Fred bowed mockingly at me, "Of course, Ms Jackson. I'm glad you thought we were funny back there and of course I'll tell you when we'll send them a toilet seat." Someone yelled Fred's name and he looked behind him. "Gotta go now, I hope I'll see you at Hogwarts." I waved at him and walked back into the compartment.

When I got back to my seat a voice echoed through: "We will be reaching Hogwarts in five minutes' time. Please leave your luggage on the train, it will be taken to the school separately."

I put Lunar, against her will, back in her cage. I started tapping on my leg with my hands, Harry looked just as nervous and Ron looked pale under his freckles. The three of us joined the crowd in the corridor.

When the train stopped we walked out on to a tiny dark platform. A lamp came bobbing over the heads of the students and I heard a voice calling, "Firs'-years! Firs'-years over here! All right there, Harry?"

It belonged to the man who was with Harry in Diagon Alley, the gamekeeper of Hogwarts. Hagrid's big hairy face beamed over the sea of heads.

"C'mon, follow me – any more firs'-years? Mind yer step, now! Firs'-years follow me!" He called again. I followed him, together with around forty other eleven-year-olds, down on a steep, narrow path. It was dark and nobody said anything. Only the round-faced boy, Neville I reminded myself, sniffed once or twice. "Yeh'll get yer firs' sight o' Hogwarts in a sec," Hagrid called over his shoulder. "Jus' round this bend here."

"Wow," I said when I saw that the narrow path had ended on the edge of a great black lake. On top of a high mountain on the other side was a vast castle with turrets and towers, the windows sparkling in the starry sky.

"No more'n four to a boat." Hagrid called out, pointing to a little fleet and I got excited. I love being in water, I did since a young age. Also probably the reason why I loved Montauk so much. Water made me feel energized. I stepped in a boat, followed by Harry, Ron and Hermione.

"Everyone in?" Hagrid shouted who had a boat on its own. "Right then – FORWARD!" And the boats started to move all at once, gliding across the water. I put my hand in the water, it felt amazing. Everyone was silent staring at the beautiful castle overhead.
