So this is a bit longer.. but hardly what I call decent.
Chapter One: Travelling.
It was two hours before I opened the package.
I spent those hours in the cold. The damp grass cushioned me, my cloak soon grew wet with the evening dew. I stared at the package. I knew what opening it would bring.
He was right, I knew.
Eventually, I reached a decision.
I picked at the bound parchment, tore at the edges. Having waited two hours to start opening it, I was very impatient to finally get the damn thing open.
A gold chain spilled out of the package. A very familiar gold chain. It was warm to my fingers, I could feel the magic coursing through the links.
I pulled the rest of the time turner out of the package, out with it spilled black rose petals and a tiny slip of parchment.
Goodbye Hermione.
That was all it said.
But I didn't have time to think of myself.
It was time to go and help Harry with the Horcruxes.
This time the right side must win.
The battlefield was still empty. I knew that now Voldemort was victorious, it was unlikely anyone would come to bury the dead. I took one last look at the hallowed ground. I bit my tongue, I remembered Harry and Ron. I remembered them all.
The timeturner was heavy against my neck and reminded me of what I had yet to do.
A deep, steadying breath. I murmered the incantation and started turning.
The world span, I tried to balance myself. The colours ran and I couldn't breathe.
It started to go blurry. I stumbled back to the ground.
Then everything was black.
