I stood in a cloud of fog. It was so thick I couldn't see anything else surrounding me. I felt a hand touch my shoulder, but when I turned I saw a figure running into the fog. I began to chase after the unidentifiable frame, but stopped when I heard a scream.

"Kevin," I hear Cora cry.

I began to chase the sound of Cora screaming my name. When I found her, she was lying on the ground, wounded by an arrow.

"Take her out," Kate said from behind me.

Sickened by her voice, I clenched my hands, but feel a object in it. I looked down at my hands, finding my fingers tightly wrapped around the grip of a pistol.

"Do it," Kate ordered, stepping beside me. "Man up and kill the bitch."

"Youre the bitch," I yelled, glaring at Kate. I threw the gun to the ground and kneeled to help Cora. Before I could touch Cora's body, I heard a gunshot, and was met by splatters of blood. My tears ran alongside her blood on my face as I studied the bullet hole in the center of Cora's forehead. Without thinking, I stood and began to chase after Kate. I chased after Kate until I fell into a hole. I looked up to see Kate standing over me, with a shovel in hand.

"You've been a very bad boy. Consider this your time out," she said with a smirk.

"Get me out of here."

"No," she refused, using the shovel to throw dirt on me.

I brush the dirt off my face in a hurry. "What the hell? "

"Watch your language," she ordered, throwing more dirt.

"Are you trying to bury me, crazy bitch?" I glared at her as she shrugged.

I dig my fingers into the dirt wall, trying to climb out. The harder I tried to climb out the hole, the quicker Kate shriveled. Blinded by the dirt in my eyes, I fell back. Before I could stand, I was covered by dirt from my neck down.

"You should have listened to me,"Kate said before covering my face.

I tried to breath, but instead of taking in air, it was only dirt. I tried to move my hands that were stuck at my side. My lungs are burning for air. My head is pounding, and I can feel the pressure around me.

I began to think of my last minute regrets; not talking to my dad as offer; Not telling Cora I loved her every chance I had; listening to Kate, even though it was only once. I could feel my eyes slowly closing as I asphyxiated.

My eyes popped open as I gasped for air. I sat on the ground with my back against a tree. I was in the woods again. But instead of the usual Saturday, it was Tuesday.

"I didn't appreciate the way you've been treating me lately," Kate announced, standing over me.

"I meant every word I've said to you," I stated, standing up.

"You use to say "I love you, mom"," she reminded.

I began to walk off, choosing not to respond to her.

"You were very disrespectful." She catches me and grabs my arm to stop me. "I am your moth-"

"You never acted like it" I interrupted. "Do what you do best; leave me alone."

I began to walk off, but was forcefully thrown to the ground. Laying on the ground, I see Kate standing over me with a dagger in her hand. I reach out to stop the dagger coming towards me. As I held Kate's arm, I'm able to see the hatred and anger in her eyes. I push her away from me and quickly stand. I anxiously looked around, but didn't see Kate.

"Kevin!"

I turn to see Cora rushing to me. "What are you doing here?"

"You missed first period, so I wanted to see if you were home" she explained, finally reaching me. "You weren't in your room, and I knew something was wrong." She studies my pale face. "Are you okay?"

I exhale loudly before nodding.

She shook her head at me. "You dont look like you are." She continues to study me. She reach for my hand and began to lead me out of the forest.

I followed Cora into Derek's loft.

"Just sit down" she ordered before leaving me alone.

I sit on a chair turned away from the table. I can't believe Kate did this to me again. How the hell is she even able to do this. I shove my face into my hands. The frustration that was building up made me want to scream. I stare at the floor until my world turned black.

Cora's POV

I enter the room with a glass of water for Kevin. I find him standing, looking of the window.

"Kevin" I called, but didn't receive a response.

I sit the glass on the table and walk to him. I put my hand on his shoulder and tried to turn him away. He angrily jerked away and continued to stare out the window.

I reach for his hand tucked inside his crossed arms. "Talk to me."

He looks at me with a disgusted look. "I don't talk to beasts. I kill them."

"What?" I shuddered out. Not now. "I know it's you Kate. Why won't you just leave him alone?" I let a low growl escape from my throat.

"It's none of your damn business what I do. Just stay the hell away from son and stay out of my way, and maybe, just maybe, when I kill you it'll be quick and painless." Kevin said. His eyes became more distant. I knew I had to get him to gain control again, but how do I do that?

"Hey Kevin come back. I know you can do it." I softly whispered looking into his eyes. He raised his eyebrow in an amazed way. "Kevin, fight back."

"Why would he do that? You don't mean anything."

"He'll do it because he's strong. He loves me...and I love him." I admitted. My vision started to blur from the tears that were forming.

I didn't even know that I knew what love meant before Kevin. After the fire, I thought the whole world was evil and greedy. If you were able to find love, then you were foolish. Im happy to be called a fool because I love Kevin Argent. It's not even surprising that he could find a way into my heart in this small of time. I don't know if it was his smile, his green eyes that always seemed to have this brightness to them, his curly hair, or his amazing personality that would make knees weak. Maybe it was everything about him.

I watched as he blinked rapidly. His eyes faded from the distant look to his normal soft green eyes.

"I don't know what happened." He said rubbing his head.

"Kevin!" I screamed, leaping into his arms. "You did it. I knew you could." I lifted my head to see the smiled that I loved. He learned downed closing his eyes. I closed my eyes as I tilted my head.

His lips hovered over mine before he closed the gap between us. The kiss was so deep and passionate that I didn't even realize that Kevin had moved one of his hands. Our lips separated when I felt a sharp pain in my back. My eyes flew open to the most evil smirk that I have ever seen, and trust me I've seen a lot. I can't believe I let Kate fool me.

She pulled the object that she had stab me with out of my back.

My nose was hit with this metallic smell. I knew that smell too easily. I quickly move out of Kevin's arms. By this time I was already healing.

"I was right. You're nothing but a dumb animal. You can do it Kevin. Oh I love you." Kate mocked me.

"Kate just leave him alone!" I yelled.

"No, I have a better idea."

I wasn't fast enough to stop Kate from shoving me across the room. My body stopped when it connected with the stairs. I tried standing by pulling myself up by the stair railing, but I just couldn't get to my feet.

"Aww poor little werewolf can't get up." Kevin's laugh echoed in the loft. "I don't know why I find that so funny." Kevin stalked forward swinging a dagger around one of his fingers. The only thing I could do to get distance between us was to drag myself up the stairs. I didn't want to fight back because I'm wouldn't be hurting Kate. I'll only be hurting Kevin. I refuse to hurt him.

"What are you going to do?" I demand to know.

"Put you in a little cute costume and make you jump through hoops. Don't worry I always give treats," she joked. By this time Kevin was now standing on the bottom steps. I had made it up to the middle. "Come here little puppy. Oh god, I need to stop, but this is too funny."

"I doubt you have anything to do with any kind of god." I growled.

"What did you say!" Kevin yelled. "I think you have been a very bad girl. I think it's time for some punishment."

I don't understand how is Kate moving Kevin's body so fast. Within seconds Kevin was standing in front of me. He reached down towards me, but I slapped his hands away from me. I only angered Kate further. He grabbed my ankles, and started dragging me down the stairs. I tried holding on to each banisters as I was being forced down.

"Let's play a game. It's called Run for Your Life. See I'll be the hunter that always win and you'll be the stupid whatever that always dies." Kevin had dragged me to the middle of the loft. "I'll give you a head start. On your marks, get set, go!"

I struggled to get up, but I finally stood and ran towards the elevator. I frantically looked between where Kevin was standing with an amazed smile, and towards the elevator doors. As soon as the door slid open, I ran inside and pressed the down button.

"Too slow." Kevin said walking in between the doors to stop them. He grabbed me by my throat, yanking me out.

He threw me to the ground and climbed on top of me. His hands leached onto my throat and grew tighter as I fought under him. I closed my eyes, trying to savour the little air that I could catch. Suddenly the weight of Kevin's body lifted. I open my eyes to see Peter trying to help me. With Peter's help, I sit up and saw Kevin fighting Derek.

Derek howls out in pain as Kevin impaled his side. Derek pushed Kevin to the ground.

Kevin stood back up, angrily watched Derek. He rushed to the dagger that laid across the room, but was strongly punched causing his body to fly backwards.

I gasped loudly when Kevin's body hits the wall. I rush to check on Kevin, but was pulled back by Peter. I quietly study the body sitting against the wall, hoping he was okay.

After several agonizing seconds Kevin's head slowly lifted. His eyes slowly scanned the loft.

I escaped Peter's hold to get to Kevin, but Kevin stood. As he rushed out the loft I chased behind him. Even with my wolf speed, I couldn't catch him.

Kevin's pov

I sat at the head of my bead, knees pulled to my chest. I stared at the my reflection in the miroir across the room.

How does she keep doing this? She hurt Cora. That's all that went through my mind. She could have killed her, and there wasn't anything I could do. I wasn't strong enough. I wasn't strong enough for her.

I slowly started banging my head on headboard, not knowing what to do next. The more I hit my head, the angrier I got. I couldn't take it anymore. I reached over and grabbed the closest thing off my side table. WIth no hesitation I threw the lamp causing it to shattering into pieces.

If you thought that was the end of my anger, then you were wrong. It was just the beginning. I've been through a lot because of Kate, but what she did to Cora was officially the worst. I was lost in rage.

When I finally returned to myself, my room was trashed. Shattered glass. Ripped clothes. Papers thrown around. The cold steel dragonfly katana sword that used to sit in the back of my closet was shoved into the wall, which wasn't short of many fist sized holes. Everything was destroyed... but the box of letters in the corner of the room.

I lifted the box and use the last of my rage to throwing across the room. Existed, I collapsed to my knees. I was about bury my face in my hands, but froze when I saw blood. I slowly stood, and start for the bathroom. As the blood from my cut palms ran down the drain, I couldn't fight the urge to look at my reflection in the mirror.

How did I let her get me to this?
