Hey everyone! Here's (finally) the new chapter of The Sparring Tournament! And from this chapter on, there are two fights in each chapter, so it'll go faster, it's still the first round now…..

Chapter Five: The battle with three nakama and the

Blondies vs the Wind Dragon and the Genius

Last round, the scary tagteam consisting of Erza and Sakura was defeated by the Fire Dragon Natsu Dragneel and the Shadow-using genius Shikamaru Nara. Now, Erza and Sakura are out of the competition. And so, the tournament continues.

Shikamaru, who had won the last battle thanks to both his high intellect and his partner Natsu, was after being finally pulled out of the ground by his best friend Chouji, patched up and was ready to be the referee once again.

"Alright, it's time for the next match." He announced, gaining everbody's attention.

"The next battle is between Brook and Nami, and Kiba and Robin. Can these competitors please step forward." The Nara continued.

The four named people stepped forward.

Kiba, of course, felt a bit left out, since the three other competitors of this match are crewmates, so he's the only one who doesn't know the others powers.

"We're in so much luck, aren't we Brook?" Nami asked.

"Indeed we are Nami-san, we will have an advantage by knowing each others, and Robin-san's powers." The living skeleton agreed.

"But I also know your abilities, Navigator-san, Skeleton-san." Robin butted in.

"Oi, I still don't! Man, I feel so left out right now!" Kiba complained. But his annoyed expression soon turned into a confident one. "But you don't know my powers either, this will be interesting, right Akamaru?" Kiba asked his loyal friend and partner. Akamaru barked in response.

"Wait, he fights using his dog?!" Nami asked. "How do you do that?"

Kiba smirked "Heh, you'll see."

"Alright, enough talking you guys." Shikamaru interupted.

"You can't stop being so serious all the time, can you?" Kiba joked.

"Shut up Kiba." The lazy young man countered. The Nara sighed. "Alright, fifth match: Brook and Nami vs Kiba Inuzuka and Robin. Begin!" he exclaimed and jumped out of the way, which was a wise decision since Kiba started immediately.

"Fang over Fang!" Kiba shouted and he and Akamaru started spinning and headed towards their oponents at incredible speed.

"Wh-what's that?!" Nami exclaimed shocked, barely managing to dodge the attack.

"It's so fast! My eyes are bulging out is astonishment! Oh, I don't have eyes, Yohohohohoho!" Brook 'joked' also managing to dodge the Inuzuka and his dog-partner.

"This is no time for joking Brook! We have to do something before either he hits us or Robin literally gets her hands on us!"

"Ah, you're right Nami-san." Brook said and pointed towards their crewmate Robin, who had already crossed her arms.

"Seis Fleur: Slap!" she called out.

Six hands each appeared on Nami and Brooks chest and stomach.

"Oh no!" Nami yelled in panick.

The hands started slapping the two Straw Hats, making quite a bit of noise.

Kiba and Akamaru had stopped their attack. "Wow, that sure is a handy attack. But where the hell did those hands come from?!"

"I ate a Devil Fruit called the Hana Hana no Mi, which allows me to sprout lims, eyes and ears wherever I want. But I have to be able to see the target." Robin explained, while her hands were still slapping her nakama (and oponents).

"Wow, that's pretty damn convenient." Kiba commented.

Finally, Robin stopped slapping her crewmates, who soon fell to the ground.

"Ouch, that hurt Robin." Nami complained, holding one of her hands against her cheek. "But now, it's my turn." She continued as she stood up.

"And mine as well." Brook stated as he stood up as well.

Nami started swinging with her Perfect Climatact and small red and blue balls came out. (Please don't think dirty xD And in case you forgot, the One Piece characters are from BEFORE the time skip, so Nami still has to use her Cool Ball and Heat Ball to form a thundercloud)

"What the hell is that?!" Kiba wondered with wide eyes.

Nami then swung her Climatact towards Kiba and the balls went the same way. Suddenly, Kiba seemed to stand in the shadow of something.

"Is it just me or is it getting darker?" the Inuzuka asked. The young men then looked up and to his surprise, there was a big black thundercloud above his head. "What the-" he started, but didn't get the chance to finish his sentence.

"Thunderbolt Tempo!" Nami exclaimed and swung her Climatact down toward the ground.

A big bolt of lightning came down and headed towards Kiba, who was still standing underneath the cloud. The Brown haired boy got hit by the lightning and called out in pain as thousands of volts elektricity went through his body, the same happening to Akamaru.

"Ouch, that's gotta hurt." Naruto remarked with a pained expression on his face.

After the lightning strike, Kiba and Akamaru looked charred. The two soon fell to the ground, uncounscious.

"Wow, that was pretty easy…" Nami commented.

"Yohohohoho, now it is my turn." Brook said and turned toward Robin.

Brook then started running towards his crewmate, with his cane-sword at the ready.

"What is he going to do? Hit her with that stick?" Natsu wondered.

"That's not just a stick." Usopp responded.

"What do you mean?" Edward asked the sniper.

Usopp smiled "You'll see."

When Brook was nearing his oponent, he pulled his sword out of the cane.

"What the-? A sword in a stick?!" Gray pointed out.

"Wow, that's awesome!" Natsu exclaimed with stars in his eyes.

"So he is a swordsman too. Interesting." Erza said to herself.

Brook then reached Robin and slashed at her. Luckily, the black haired woman was barely able to dodge the skeletons attack.

"Go Robin-chwaaaan~!" Sanji encouraged Robin.

Then, Nami sent a look towards the perverted cook.

"And Nami-swaaaan too~!"

Winrey sweatdropped "Is that guy always like that?"

"Unfortunately, he is…" Chopper answered.

Robin crossed her arms again. "Cien Fleurs." She started and two hands appeared near Brooks neck.

"Clutch." She then said and the two hands pulled Brook backwards, making his skeleton body crack. The Afro Swordsman then fell to the ground, uncounscious.

"Brook!" Nami called out to her battle-partner, but no response. "Crap, I'm screwed…."

"You can do it Nami!" the orange-haired girl heard a familiar voice call out. She turned her head to see that it was her captain, Luffy.

"Luffy…"

Robin smiled. 'They have such a strong bond." She thought and then started giggling.

"Eh? What's so funny Robin?" the Navigator asked.

"Oh, it's nothing Navigator-san. Let us continue this battle."

Nami nodded in response and took her battle-stance once again. She started swinging her Climatact around again, producing more Cool Balls and Heat Balls. Another dark cloud formed above Robins head.

She swung her Climatact one more time. "Tunderbo-" she started.

"Oh no you don't!" she heard from behind her and then she felt cold metal against her neck.

Kiba had gotten up again and held a kunai against her throat. "We won." He said.

"Yeah, awesome work Kiba!" Naruto complimented his friend.

"Alright, this fight is over. The winners of this match are Kiba Inuzuka and Robin." Shikamaru announced.

"Yes!" Kiba exclaimed and then removed the kunai from Nami's neck and put it back in his weapon pouch.

"Awwww, we lost…" Nami whined.

"Well done." Robin complimented her temporary battle-partner as she walked up to him.

"Thanks, you're not bad either."

"You fought well too, Navigator-san." Robin told her only female crewmate.

Nami brightened up "Thank you Robin."

"Uhm, is that guy still okay?" Kiba butted in and pointed towards Brook who was still lying on the ground.

Robin giggled "Don't worry, I wouldn't kill my Nakama, now would I?"

"Heh, guess not." Kiba responded and then he walked up to Akamaru who was also lying on the ground. "You okay buddy?" he asked.

Akamaru got up and barked, indicating that he was fine.

"Good."

Kiba, Akamaru, Nami and Robin walked back to the rest of the big group and Brook was being dragged there by Zoro.

"Okay, now it's time for the next match." Shikamaru started.

"Yes, it's finally my turn!" Naruto yelled enthousiastically.

"The next match is between Wendy Marvell and Neji Hyuuga, and Naruto Uzumaki and Sanji."

"Alright, here I go." Naruto said and stood up from where hes at in the grass next to Sakura.

Then he felt someone grabbing his arm. He turned around and saw that it was Sakura.

"Something wrong Sakura-chan?" he asked.

"Just be careful okay?" the girl told her long-time friend and teammate.

Naruto grinned "Of course I will. Besides, it's just a sparring match, they won't kill me."

"Yeah, you're right." Sakura said. "Show them what you've got!"

"Yeah, I'll win for sure!" Naruto exclaimed and made his way to the rest of the participants, who were already waiting for him.

Neji smirked "Now we finally have our rematch Naruto."

"Yeah, and I will win again!"

"Alright you guys, the Sixth Match: Wendy Marvell and Neji Hyuuga vs Naruto Uzumaki and Sanji. Begin!" Shikamaru announced.

"Okay, let's finish this one quickly!" Naruto started and formed his most famous hand-sign. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" he called out and twenty other Naruto's appeared with a puff of smoke.

"Wooooooow!" Luffy yelled with stars in his eyes.

"Not too shabby…" Sanji complimented with a smirk on his face.

"Heh, thanks."

Fourteen clones started running towards Neji and Wendy, seven to each, with their fists ready to punch their targets. Before seven Narutos could hit Neji, he started spinning around at an amazing speed.

"Eight Trigrams Palm Rotation!" the genius announced and continued to spin around rapidly, making all seven clones dissapear in a puff of smoke once again.

And to defeat the clones heading towards her, Wendy prepared for her most-used attack by sucking up air.

"Roar of the Sky Dragon!" she shouted and a huge blast of wind destroyed all Naruto's Clones.

"Wow, so you're a Dragon Slayer, like Natsu but with wind." Naruto pointed out.

"Alright, now that everyone's shown off their techniques, it's my turn!" Sanji stated.

The curly-brows started running towards his two oponents. Then, he first tried to kick Neji, but he blocked it with both his arms, or so he thought. Sanji's kick was strong enough to break through the Hyuuga's defense and to send him flying a few metres away. Then, the blonde ran towards Wendy with his foot ready, but his foot stopped a few inches from her face.

"Huh? What are you doing?" Naruto asked his battle partner.

"I don't kick ladies." The cook responded, with a serious look on his face. The curly-brows then put his foot back on the ground.

"Wow, that kick he gave to that Neji guy was super strong! Amazing! But why doesn't he want to kick Wendy?" Edward brought up.

"He's always like that." Franky explained. "If he doesn't fight, he's either cooking our food or chasing ladies, he's a real man."

'That guy sounds like Elfman….' Lucy thought with a drop of sweat running down her face.

After the little 'interruption', Neji got up again. "I won't be defeated so easily." he stated.

"Oh, that's too bad. I really wanted to see the next battle." Sanji told the Hyuuga.

"Uhm, by the way." Wendy butted in. "What is he doing?" she asked, pointing towards Naruto, who seemed to be meditating.

Neji's eyes widened "Oh no! I forgot about Naruto! We have to stop him right now!" he cursed.

'What's so dangerous about him just sitting there?' Sanji wondered in his thoughts. 'Well, if it's something so powerful, then I'll have to protect him while he's doing that!'

Neji and Wendy started running towards Naruto as fast as possible.

'We can't let him ge tinto Sage Mode or we will definately lose!' Neji thought.

"Oh no you don't!" Sanji yelled and landed in between them and Naruto.

Neji reacted quickly and hit Sanji in his arm with the tips of his index and middle finger. Then, Sanji couldn't move his arm for some reason. (Yeah, I thought that since in One Piece there is no such thing as chakra, I decided that Neji is also able to block peoples movement, like chi-blockers in Avatar)

The love cooks eyes widened. "What the hell!"

"I blocked the movement in your arm, no you can't use it for a while."

Then Sanji smirked "Heheh, I don't use my arms in battle, I only use my legs!" Sanji told the Hyuuga Genius and kicked him in the face.

"Neji-san!" Wendy called out, but she soon turned her attention back to Sanji. She took a deep breath again "Roar of the Sky Dragon!" she exclaimed once again and a new big airblast went towards Sanji.

Sanji managed to dodge it in time, but then, realisation hit him. 'Shit! Naruto's still there!' he thought in panic.

He turned around to see if Naruto was still okay, but he didn't see him at all.

"Thanks for guarding me Sanji." He then heard coming from the trees.

It was Naruto and he now had yellow eyes with strange horizontal pupils and orange ring-like things around his eyes.

"Oh no, he managed to get in Sage Mode!" Neji shouted as he quickly stood up again.

"That looks so awesome!" Luffy exclaimed with stars in his eyes once again. (LOL, You're impressed so easily Luffy xD)

"Yes Sage Mode! Now they're done for!" Sakura exclaimed happily with a big smile on her face.

"What is this Sage Mode actually?" Lucy asked the pink-haired kunoichi.

"Something incredibly powerful."

"Hm?"

"You'll see." Sakura responded.

Wendy decided to launch the next attack. "Wing Attack of the Sky Dragon!" she exclaimed and two whips made of air headed straight to the Blonde Jinchuuriki.

The wind attack seemed to have hit as it cut the tree in three pieces, but when the young girl looked better she saw that Naruto wasn't there.

Wendy's eyes widened "Wh-where did he go?"

"I'm right here!" she heard from behind her. She turned around and saw that 5 clones were already running towards her.

"I'll hit you this time!" one of the clones exclaimed.

"No you won't!" Neji countered and jumped in front of Wendy. "Eight Trigrams Palm Rotation!" he exclaimed and started spinning around again, destroying the attacking clones.

"Damn, almost got her!" Naruto cursed under his breath.

"Th-thank you Neji-san."

"No problem." Neji smiled, but he soon got kicked in the face again and was sent flying.

"You forgot about me." Sanji interrupted as he landed safely on the ground.

Neji got up quickly. 'Damn, I let my guard down!' he cursed in his mind.

The Hyuuga started running towards the blonde-haired cook and held his arms ready to strike.

'He's going to try to hit my legs this time!' Sanji thought. He managed to jump out of the way, but while he was in mid-air, Neji still managed to hit his left leg.

Sanji landed and almost lost his balance as he wobbled on his legs. '"Damnit!" he cursed. But then, he smirked "Not bad, but this just makes the fight more interesting."

"Does it now?" The Genius questioned, with a smirk of his own on his face.

"Hey I'm still here!" Naruto yelled and made his way towards Neji, with a familiar blue orb in his hand.

Neji's eyes widened 'Oh no! I have to dodge that Rasengan or else, it will be over for me!'

'That looks dangerous, I have to stop him!' Wendy thought, even though she didn't now what the blue, rotating orb was. "Roar of the Sky Dragon!" she exclaimed and shot a blast of Wind at Naruto.

Naruto sensed the attack as soon as it started and jumped up, avoiding the powerful wind attack. As soon as the boy landed, he continued his way to Neji.

'He'll dodge it if I don't do anything.' Sanji thought, looking into the situation. "Here, let me lend you a hand." He said and did something unexpected: he kicked Neji in the back with his good leg, sending him flying straight towards Naruto and his Rasengan.

"Thanks!" Naruto grinned and strechted out his arm in front of him.

The Rasengan hit the incoming Neji head-on, causing a big flash of light to appear. Everbody shielded their eyes in order to protect them form the blinding light. The flash finally dissapeared and everybody could see that Neji was sent flying pretty far away and was uncounscious with a big spiral-shaped wound on his stomach.

"Neji –san!" Wendy called out to her battle-partner but she didn't get a response. Neji was out of the fight. The girl turned her gaze to her two oponents, who didn't even have a scratch on them.

"You can give up if you want." Naruto suggested kindly.

Wendy shook her head "No, I'm not giving up."

Charle smiled. 'She has become so brave.' She thought proudly.

Naruto smirked 'I wouldn't have either.'

'This beautiful young lady is so cute~!' Sanji thought, his inner self noodling around with a heart in his visable eye, while still looking serious on the outside.

"Alright, I won't go easy on you then." Naruto stated.

The blonde Jinchuuriki made 3 more Shadow Clones and they headed for their oponent, while Sanji just stood there, standing still and observing. He wouldn't kick a cute little girl, now would he? He'd kill himself if he ever dared to do such a thing. The four Narutos got close to Wendy and started punching, but Wendy managed to dodge the attacks. Finally, after a while, one of the clones was able to punch her in the stomach, but Wendy stood strong. She jumped away from the clones and unleashed another Roar of the Sky Dragon (Yeah, she uses that VERY often, in the series too) The roar was a hit, it destroyed the three clones and the original as well.

"D-did she do it?" Lucy questioned, hoping that there would still be one of her friends from Fairy Tail in the contest besides Natsu. If Naruto is defeated, she would automatically win, since Sanji wouldn't want to fight her anyway.

The group saw Naruto lying on the ground. Most thought that he was defeated, but Naruto's long-time friends from since they were in the Academy and when they became Genin knew that even a huge blast like that couldn't bring Naruto down. And they were right, Naruto got up, his clothes were a little bit ripped though.

"Wow, not bad Wendy, that attack would've defeated a normal person instantly. I'm Lucky that I'm still standing." Naruto complimented.

"Well done Wendy-chwaaan~! You can kick this bastards ass~!"

"OI, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE IN MY TEAM!" Naruto yelled. The blonde hero sighed. "Oh well, I do it myself then." He decided and started running towards Wendy all over again.

"Claw of the Sky Dragon!" Wendy exclaimed.

Naruto managed to dodge the attack just in time. He attempted to punch Wendy again, in which he succeeded. Wendy was exhausted, but she got up again.

"Go Wendy!" Lucy cheered, pumping her fists in the air.

"Go Naruto!" Sakura cheered, doing the same at the same time as Lucy.

The two girls looked at eachother for a few seconds and they burst out laughing.

Wendy unleashed another Wing Attack, which missed, but just barely. Naruto made more clones and they punched Wendy multiple times. The young girl landed on the ground pretty hard.

"Wendy!" Natsu called out.

The Sky Dragon Slayer stood up.

Naruto's eyes widened 'Wow, she's tougher than she looks.'

Wendy decided to use one of her strongest attacks. "Dragon Slayer Secret Art."

"Oh! That attack!" Erza said. 'If that one hits, Wendy will win!' she thought with a smile.

A big magic circle appeared under Wendy's feet and a barrier of Wind surrounded her and Naruto. (Sanji's standing just outside of it)

"A wind barrier?!" Naruto said surprised.

Wendy strechted her arms and her hands lit up "Shattering Light Sky Drill!" the girl yelled and a big, glowing beam of Wind shot straight towards Naruto. (In case the FT fans forgot, it's the attack Wendy also used against Chelia in the Daimatou Enbu)

"Shit!" Naruto cursed. 'If this hits, I'll be screwed!'

Everyone covered their eyes for the bright light of the attack.

The light dissapeared and everyone started searching for Naruto and Wendy, Wendy was still there, but Naruto was gone. Everyone gasped. Where did the blonde go?!

"Whew, that attack almost killed me…" a voice said.

Wendy turned around and saw Naruto standing there, still hurt as much as he was before her last attack. 'H-he avoided it?!' the girl thought in light panic.

"Yeah, you can do it Naruto!" Sakura cheered.

Wendy wanted to attack Naruto again, but he dissapeared in the blink of an eye.

'Wh-where did he go?' the girl thought. Suddenly, she felt something cold and pointy against her back. Naruto stood behind her with a kunai in his hand, lightly pressing it against the girls back.

Naruto smiled. "I win."

Shikamaru smiled "The winners of this match are Naruto Uzumaki and Sanji, which means that Neji Hyuuga and Wendy Marvell are out of the tournament!" he announced.

"Yeah! Well done Naruto!" Kiba cheered.

"You did it Naruto!" Sakura applauded.

"Awesome fight Sanji!" Luffy complimented.

"Oi, he only fought the first part…" Usopp pointed out.

Naruto held out his hand to Wendy "You're really strong, it was a good fight."

Wendy shook his hand "Thank you, but you're the strongest."

"Wendy-chan~, can I hold your hand too~?" Sanji asked, noodling her way.

"Heheh… Sure." Wendy smiled and shook Sanji's hand.

"Kawaii~!" the curlybrows noodled with hearts in his eyes.

"Tch, ero-cook." Zoro grumbled.

"OI MARIMO I HEARD THAT!" Named cook yelled and ran towards Zoro. And so, they started fighting (of course they do xD), only to be stopped soon after by Nami.

"BAKA!" the redhead growled.

"I'm sorry Nami-chwaaan~!"

Naruto walked up to Neji, who had just woken up. The blonde held out his hand to his friend. "You alright?" he asked with a smile.

"Heh, I'm feeling better than ever." The Hyuuga joked and accepted his friends help. Naruto helped Neji up, but the Genius could barely stand because of the wound caused by Naruto's Rasengan.

Naruto gave Neji support with his shoulder. "Heheh, sorry for hurting you so badly."

Neji smiled. "It's nothing, now I know how that Rasengan of yours feels."

Naruto laughed. "Maybe I should find that out myself when I have time." The blonde joked.

Naruto helped Neji walk to Sakura, who healed his injury and bandaged it up.

Sakura looked at Naruto's injuries. "Come here, I'll heal you too."

"It's not that bad, but sure." Naruto obeyed and sat down next to Sakura as she started to heal his wounds.

Wendy's wounds got treated by Ino, since she can't heal herself with her magic. And Sanji, well he didn't need any treatment, he just would've needed help with walking back to the sidelines, but Zoro had pissed him off so much, that the movement in his arm and leg already came back.

Alright, that's it for this chapter :D I hope I did a good job and that you enjoyed it. Next chapter will finally be the last battle of round one and also the intro (and maybe the first battle) of round two! Yay!
